Unless I'm missing something there's no way to 'stage' updated. IE, once you save a change, it's live. This isn't always ideal. Like most online companies these days all communication if initially by email. Getting someone on a call is difficult. **Recommendations to others considering FormAssembly:** Take time to learn it. It's more powerful than it might first appear. **What problems is FormAssembly solving and how is that benefiting you?** I manage about 65 forms from the university application forms, to inquiry forms, residence application and COVID record keeping. Documentation doesn't seem to get updated very often. Connector editing slows way down the bigger the connector gets. Even copy pasting text into notepad and then copying it into Form Assembly sometimes results in weird things as soon as Form Assembly's bullet points are involved. **What problems is FormAssembly solving and how is that benefiting you?** We primarily use Form Assembly to integrate and send data in to Salesforce, both for creating new records as well as updating existing records. The connectors are pretty intuitive to setup and there is a lot of guidance available online if you do get stuck. ### 7. Although I'm meticulous with hitting "Save", I often return to the site to find that my work from a previous session was not saved/ reverted to a previous draft! The fields are an utter pain to reorganize and move around. It's able to host a lot of information, things are easy to search, and easy to edit. **What do you dislike about FormAssembly?** There are some more design-oriented flaws that I'm not the biggest fan of, like the inability to streamline text size when you copy over text from another document (the copied texts is copied in a larger font, and the form doesn't have the option for you to highlight all text and have it match. You can retype the copied text to get it to match, but that's an effort). **Recommendations to others considering FormAssembly:** Would recommend if you're looking for a way to integrate Salesforce and design easy to use forms for your audience. **What problems is FormAssembly solving and how is that benefiting you?** Loads and loads. Form Assembly has made it simple to describe more detail oriented decisions with easy to read drop-down menus and record reactions and responses. If you DO have those additional skills, FA allows you to do many customizations to any form you'd like. Additionally, FA generates a simple, short link for embedding your form in any HTML-accessible page, which is a requirement for my work. **What do you dislike about FormAssembly?** The interface could be more modern and integrations with outside systems (for us, Salesforce) can sometimes break down. **What problems is FormAssembly solving and how is that benefiting you?** As a nonprofit, we use FormAssembly for donation forms, auction forms, and other development functions. We also use it even more so for camper and student registration forms throughout the year for our various programs. FA makes it easy to duplicate a form and make the small tweaks to keep it relevant year-over-year which we appreciate. Both platforms work incredibly well together. The forms pretty much give you everything you need, and its very easy to use. The response section provides the analysis of all non-text questions and they can be downloaded to Excel. I also like the ability to send automatic copies of answers to designated email addresses and automate auto reply for forms. **What do you dislike about FormAssembly?** The format possibilities are very limited. I wish it provided more flexibility to the user. Also if you need to use the conditional feature between pages, it can create mistakes. We use it for everything from training and event registrations to reimbursement requests to evaluations of our work. Building forms is easy, providing information for those filling out forms is made accessible, and FormAssembly gives us multiple ways to keep everything organized. The Salesforce connectors help us a lot in keeping track of contacts, form submissions, and financial information. **What do you dislike about FormAssembly?** There is very little I dislike or have a hard time with on FormAssembly. The major issue I have in working with FormAssembly is setting up Salesforce connectors to do everything I want them to. It is sometimes difficult for me to create connectors that completely capture the data I want. **Recommendations to others considering FormAssembly:** Absolutely use FormAssembly whenever you can. It will save you a ton of time, energy, and resources. FormAssembly is a great tool for managing information input. The connectors for Salesforce are especially helpful, and FormAssembly has saved us so much time in inputting information while helping us to capture much more information and expand our reach. The integration with salesforce CRM is really easy to set up and really powerful. For example, you can create powerful web forms to show salesforce data to non salesforce users. Forassembly give you even to possibility to create or update saleforce records really easily. For example, I really like the functionality of prefilling forms with salesforce data. Formassebly is really user-friendly. Support is perfect. We needed only a couple of times to ask support to fix something and their response were fast and they were able to fix the issue rapidly. Formassembly also has a lot of documentation (easy to understand) to create complex forms. I really like also that we can add custom code into form template. **What do you dislike about FormAssembly?** nothing really, the solution goes beyond our expectation. Maybe formassembly forms should be a bit more mobile friendly (responsive). I had to add a bit of custom code to fix small issues. **Recommendations to others considering FormAssembly:** if you are looking for an easy solution to create web forms and be able to be well integrated with salesforce (prefill form with salesforce data and create/update salesforce records when submitting the form) formassembly is a no brainer **What problems is FormAssembly solving and how is that benefiting you?** We needed a webform solution to create web forms easily and update salesforce records easily for people non salesforce users. FormAssembly is absolutely a standalone powerhouse. We use FormAssembly for paid for registrations, free data collections, applications, multiple organizations, and it's all branded and well integrated with Salesforce. Our reporting power is limitless with this combination. We find that FormAssembly has saved us insane amounts of time and money. **What do you dislike about FormAssembly?** I wish that the thematic elements were more easily to manipulate, but there are so many that it doesn't bother me to have to dig a bit for them. I wish FormAssembly reporting was more consistent and user-friendly. I can always get the information I need, just sometimes not within the reporting page. I also wish when errors were encountered by people that it more readily notified me; we used to have this setting and now I can't find it. **Recommendations to others considering FormAssembly:** Take the time to watch the webinars! A lot of tips and inspiration to be found there. The lead creation has been extremely helpful. We also use it on our website to collect cases from our user, and route them to our customer service team. Creating forms and surveys is very straightforward. It is easy to conditionally show and hide fields, and add some other logic. Mapping the fields to Salesforce is also intuitive. On occasion our connectors can get a little complicated, since there are several conditions we need ot check to avoid creating duplicates. Our web design team usually adds styling to the form after it is embedded into a web page. So I do not have much experience with adding styles to the form. The few times I have added it, it was simple and easy to use. There have been a few difficulties because we embed our forms on our web pages, which limits a few (not many) of FormAssembly's features. The only difficulty we have had is when there is a large response volume to a survey in a short period of time, the connector to our Salesforce instance has hit API limits. But when the volume is low enough, or spread out across a length of time, it works well. ### 27. However, unlike most simple systems there are many ways to leverage FormAssembly. We use FormAssembly to track events, memberships, and surveys with Salesforce. We've been able to use custom logic so that certain options only appear to certain levels of donors, sponsors, and members. As a small nonprofit, this customization in this pricing tier has allowed us to develop a solution we didn't think possible. Additionally, any time we have had an issue, their support has been quick to reply and help. I wouldn't recommend this tool to somebody without Salesforce, but if you're looking for a native Salesforce app, you can't do any better in my opinion. **What do you dislike about FormAssembly?** While most of it is simple to use, there are some areas that require more complex technical knowledge. You can easily skirt around this as we have, but if you're an API knowledgable person, you'll have an even easier time leveraging the full power of the tool. **What problems is FormAssembly solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use FormAssembly for surveys, memberships, sponsorships, and event attendance. Now, all of our events and attendance information is fed into Salesforce rather than an external system. We had used Eventbrite previously, but the link to Salesforce was clunky. Outside of a Salesforce connector, we've also connected PayPal. This allows for donors to pay for membership, sponsorships, or tickets directly through the FormAssembly form they're filling out. And, by using the pre-fill and conditional logic features, we're then able to tailor the form they see based on information entered into the "look-up" form. ### 28. One thing that is a little glitchy is the list option (ie: where you can upload a list of schools for example). They have a trial account option, that is risk free. So you can check to see if it meets your needs. There is no downside to trying it.
