"Good experience working with Forest Admin - It's rapidly evolving and has an active forum"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Forest?

1. Active forum with great customer support: when asking a question, we typically wait a maximum of 1-2 days before getting a comprehensive response. Most of my inquiries have been solved, or even implemented, very fast.

2. Easy to use and set up. The docs are very easy to follow.

3. We use it with Mongoose & MongoD. Forest Admin does a lot of smart automatic deductions of field types/names, selects appropriate editing widgets, creates smart relationships between references, and visualizes them clearly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Forest?

It is sometimes hard to achieve more complex tasks when they do not align with the framework. I recommend reading the docs clearly what is and is not supported. Furthermore, the docs are very well structured and easy to follow, but they could be a bit more comprehensive. I frequently find myself looking through the Typescript descriptions to try to figure out the functionality of certain methods or fields (to be fair, the TS descriptions are very good). "Best admin app out there"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Forest?

In terms of getting a great administration interface on the ground quickly when developing Ruby on Rails applications, Forest Admin is easily the best choice. Most other options require a decent amount of code or to learn the ins and outs of a DSL, but with Forest you just plug and play and can easily tweak the interface and workflows with no coding needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Forest?

Not much. It use to be that it didn't support polymorphic relationships, but they just released that feature! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The best database admin tool I've used"
5/5
What do you like best about Forest?

I only have positives to say. Most of these tools are pretty terrible; Forest is nice to look at, simple, and easy to get to grips with. I enjoy using it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Forest?

Not too much to say here really. I tend to use it for quite basic things though. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Forest Admin stands out for its intuitive interface, making data and workflow management very simple. The inclusion of pre-built components for rapid admin panel development enhances overall efficiency. The tool's flexibility allows for very easy customization to meet specific application needs. Real-time monitoring features provide valuable insights into application performance and user behavior. Finally, robust security measures, such as role-based access control are also a big plus. "excellent tool"
5/5
What do you like best about Forest?

very intuitive tool, easy to use. Here the cons:

Rapid Development: Forest Admin can significantly speed up the process of creating an admin panel by providing pre-built components and integrations for various data sources and databases.

User-Friendly Interface: Its interface is designed to be intuitive and easy to use, allowing non-technical users to manage data and perform various tasks effectively.

Customization: While Forest Admin offers pre-built components, it also allows for customization and configuration to match the specific needs and branding of the application.

Real-Time Monitoring: It often provides real-time insights and monitoring capabilities, allowing developers and administrators to track application performance and user behavior.

Security: Forest Admin usually offers security features like role-based access control and user permissions to ensure that only authorized individuals can access and modify data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Forest?

Complexity: Depending on the complexity of your application's data structures and requirements, setting up and configuring Forest Admin can still require a fair amount of technical knowledge.

Learning Curve: While it's designed to be user-friendly, there might still be a learning curve for users who are new to the platform.

Customization Limitations: While Forest Admin allows customization, there might be limitations to how much you can modify the interface and functionalities to perfectly match your application's needs.

Maintenance: Like any tool, using Forest Admin may require ongoing maintenance, updates, and compatibility checks as your application evolves.

Dependency: Integrating your application deeply with Forest Admin could potentially lead to concerns about vendor lock-in, where it might be challenging to migrate away from the tool in the future. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
