The product has 2 features that I like most. The first and best part of these is the management and reporting feature. The Management and Reporting console is smooth and intuitive. In this way, we can see user behavior and traffic in detail. The second feature I like is that it can easily monitor traffic and patterns to find infected computers on the network that need fixing. It also helps us a lot in preventing problematic and network abuse. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Forcepoint Web Security? The configuration and setup of the product was a bit complicated for me. While this alone isn't a bad feature, it's hard to find what you're looking for on knowledge base sites. It also has multiple instruction sheets for all the different versions of the available software. You can switch to different software versions one way or another, but it may take some time to find what you want. However, despite this, the product has contributed greatly to filtering and reporting our company's web traffic in general. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What problems is Forcepoint Web Security solving and how is that benefiting you? We use Websense to both filter and report traffic for both our internal networks and our public network. Fragmented reporting is used both as a resource for HR when there are potential problems, and by our security team to monitor public network abusers. Filtering is used to block inappropriate content from being viewed and also helps us as a layer of our network security. We block all security and proxy related traffic and when we receive a phishing or spam email with a link, we add this url to our block list to help prevent access to corrupted or malicious domains. In my opinion, the best part of the product is that we can categorize access to sites. With this feature, we can give users access by category rather than the content of a website. Also, the product is very good at blocking Phishing Links and Malicious content. What do you dislike about Forcepoint Web Security? Overall, the performance of the product is satisfactory. However, the software upgrades of the product are really challenging for us. We have solved bandwidth wasted problems due to malicious websites, phishing connections, viruses, encryption attacks and inefficient browsing with this product. It is very stable and you can forget that it is there to maintain it. It takes care of itself and you can use your other to do other demanding tasks in your job. Everything is taken of. Forcepoint has a robust Web Security Intelligence to block emerging web threats every minute, every day, every year. Support is quick and very robust. You have to learn that the appliance has other "virtual machines" running on it. The CLI can be quite intimidating at first as it is a hardened proprietary Linux appliance. You have to do some learning on troubleshooting using the CLI as the GUI troubleshooting tools are limited, like I said it is intimidating at first but the system is very stable and troubleshooting is not an everyday thing. There are also some web sites or web applications which don't work well with the Content Management Gateway (another "VM" in the appliance) and have to "tunnel" them or bypass SSL decryption for them to work for your users Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Recommendations to others considering Forcepoint Web Security: This is a very stable platform which can have uptimes of 2 years non stop! It is a great investment and if you want trouble free or less troubleshooting during Internet problems choose this product! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. To have protection to our corporate users to securely access the web without worrying about security issues that might affect our network. The benefits are immense, we do not worry about things like ransomeware or compromised websites that our users can be driven to through possible phishing and our email system is also robust with Proofpoint Email Security Gateway.
