## About Forcepoint Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
Forcepoint DLP helps prevent the exfiltration of sensitive data through unified policy management and centralized control from a single policy, enabling consistent protection across endpoints, cloud applications, web, email, and AI-driven workflows. The solution uses a unified policy engine that allows security teams to define policies once and enforce them consistently across channels, providing real-time control over sensitive data and user activity to help prevent data misuse. Forcepoint combines advanced data classification with behavioral risk signals to deliver adaptive protection. By continuously monitoring user activity and data interactions, the solution helps identify risk early and automates appropriate controls before data loss occurs, enabling secure work without disrupting the business. Security teams can accelerate deployment and simplify management with over 1,800 predefined classifiers, templates, and policies aligned to regulatory requirements across 90+ countries and 160+ regions, with coverage for 900+ file types to help secure sensitive data across the business. An embedded intelligence layer, ARIA (Adaptive Risk Intelligence Assistant), analyzes cross-platform risk signals and understands natural language to surface insights, recommend protection, and deploy policies directly from the interface. This helps reduce manual effort while accelerating time from insight to enforcement. Delivered as part of the Forcepoint Data Security Cloud platform, Forcepoint DLP supports flexible deployment across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments, enabling organizations to deploy based on their business and security needs while streamlining compliance and maintaining consistent protection of data everywhere.

## Forcepoint Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Reviews
 ### 1. Comprehensive Insights, Easy Setup but Remote Challenges

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anicet K. | Cyber Security Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Forcepoint Data Loss Prevention (DLP)?**

I find the boards in Forcepoint Data Loss Prevention (DLP) quite comprehensive. The data overview and the findings it provides are impressive. The AI tool offers a clear understanding of data transactions and movements, and it notifies us whenever data is transferred. With the integrations we set up, it gives notifications when data is copied outside or inside, and records important information about secret data that needs to be moved. It's quite an impressive tool. We enjoy how the integrations directly connect to the data sources we needed to monitor, making it valuable. The notification system is comprehensive, providing exactly what we need, including the type of file copied, its severity level, trends, and more. These tools and features are valuable assets included in the dashboard and system.

**What do you dislike about Forcepoint Data Loss Prevention (DLP)?**

nothing at all

**What problems is Forcepoint Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Forcepoint Data Loss Prevention (DLP) provides a clear overview of files, their exposure, and data movement, enhancing our data security. It notifies us of transfers, helping monitor what data is shared externally. Overall, it gives us valuable insights into data transactions.

 ### 2. Comprehensive DLP Solution with Solid Performance but Lagging Support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adesh T. | Manager ( Head IT Infra & Cyber Security ), Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Forcepoint Data Loss Prevention (DLP)?**

I appreciate Forcepoint Data Loss Prevention (DLP) because it provides complete visibility of my data and secures it at every aspect. The performance is good, and even when using it in-house, it ensures my data is protected throughout its journey, whether it's an endpoint, email, or network. The initial setup was good too.

**What do you dislike about Forcepoint Data Loss Prevention (DLP)?**

I don't like the support for Forcepoint Data Loss Prevention (DLP) because even though we've taken essential support that's bundled with the product, it lacks any defined SLA. This makes the process of resolving issues take too long. Also, there are issues whenever we upgrade because we need to set up new databases, which I find challenging.

**What problems is Forcepoint Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Forcepoint Data Loss Prevention (DLP) provides complete visibility of my data and secures it throughout its journey, whether it's on an endpoint, email, or network.

 ### 3. Comprehensive DLP with Robust Features, Needs UI Improvements

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Swapnil Niranjan G. | Forcepoint DLP Analyst, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Forcepoint Data Loss Prevention (DLP)?**

I like the strong multi-channel protection Forcepoint Data Loss Prevention (DLP) offers across endpoint, email, web, and USB, which gives me complete visibility and control over data movement. The policy engine is really flexible, supporting detection methods like fingerprinting, regex, dictionaries, and machine learning classifiers. I also find the incident management and detailed logs very useful for investigation and audit purposes. The integration with other security tools and its ability to enforce actions like block, encrypt, or restrict make it highly effective for enterprise data protection.

**What do you dislike about Forcepoint Data Loss Prevention (DLP)?**

Forcepoint DLP is powerful, but some areas can be improved. Initial policy configuration and tuning can be complex and time-consuming, especially in large environments. The user interface can feel less intuitive at times, particularly when managing multiple policies or incidents. Performance may also be impacted on endpoints during heavy scanning or large file transfers. Additionally, false positives can occur and require regular fine-tuning of policies to maintain accuracy.

**What problems is Forcepoint Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Forcepoint DLP to prevent sensitive data leakage and ensure compliance by monitoring and controlling data movement across endpoints, emails, web, and USB devices. It reduces insider threats and provides visibility and audit logs for enforcing data protection policies.

 ### 4. Highly Customizable Yet Complex Setup

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Manish K. | Senior Security Engineer, Computer & Network Security, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Forcepoint Data Loss Prevention (DLP)?**

For Forcepoint Data Loss Prevention (DLP), I really like the customization it offers. We can customize it for our specific use cases on-premises, which is a feature not commonly found in other solutions. There are numerous customization options available through customer-created JSONs that set it apart from others. Additionally, with Forcepoint being the OEM, it's quite good for on-premises implementations.

**What do you dislike about Forcepoint Data Loss Prevention (DLP)?**

I think the OCR feature needs improvement because it requires a minimum file size of two MB or a 70% match for OCR. Also, the initial setup is quite lengthy and not ready to use right away; it's typical to install, but configuring it for the first time is very time-consuming.

**What problems is Forcepoint Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Forcepoint Data Loss Prevention (DLP) to prevent sensitive data from leaving our organization with features like fingerprinting and regular expressions, and by creating policies.

I as a user liked the most about this software is that it prevents data from uploading to other sites pretty tight and hence prevents us from leaking any data that might lead to data breach or loss for the organization especially when associates are working for a client. Organizations take their client data very seriously.

**What do you dislike about Forcepoint Data Loss Prevention (DLP)?**

What I dislike is the same thing what I like most. Now when sometimes I try to upload my personal documents like a photo attaching to my personal mail google, it will prevent me from doing that and it really annoys me that I am unable to do my personal thing or two using the company provided laptop. No flexibility there. I have not tried other scenarios but this one it cannot be worked around. I have to switch to my mobile device or another personal laptop to get this type of work done.
