The main downside is that discontinued features still show up in the app (like batches), which can be confusing for new users. I also don’t receive an email when new features drop, so I’ll notice changes in the app but might not realize what they are, how to use them, or when to use them. The thing I find most helpful about FoodReady is the free templates that are offered to the users. These templates make it easier for the user to get a good idea on what their template format should look like which ultimatley helps save time because we dont have to go through all the thinking of how we want a certain checklist to look like. The number one downside to FoodReady, in my opinion, is that when a checklist is submitted and an error is made, you can't reopen the form to correct the mistake and resubmit it. Instead, you have to leave a comment describing the error and the correction, which for me is confusing—especially when I'm just going through a checklist. I really like how FoodReady's interface is friendly, and once I get the hang of it, it's pretty easy to use. I'm a big fan of the vendor portal, as it allows me to request specific documentation from a vendor and send a link to a portal where they can upload docs. This feature helps me automate reminders and track what I do and don't have from any vendor. Compared to other ERP systems, FoodReady is more in line with the scale of our business, offering a better value for what we specifically do. For us, it's the Shopify integration. Doing ecommerce without a Shopify integration creates a regular daily task of creating a sales order for the day's sales. The process involves generally 2-3 people, and I would rather that process be automated. I would just like FoodReady to be able to pull orders from Shopify, and when we fulfill that order, deplete the inventory automatically. It would remove human error from the process. The initial setup was relatively intense, but setting up an ERP is like that. The availability of getting answers was generally acceptable, but at times it could have been better. Our onboarding specialist was quite busy, and the availability of scheduled meetings was tight, with several instances where we only had one choice of time slot to work with. I use FoodReady to help manage and organize our food safety program, which is incredibly valuable. The personal attention and support from the FoodReady team is something I really appreciate. It keeps us on track and organized with our records and SOPs. It's comprehensive, and I can't imagine doing all of this work with just pen and paper. My main complaint is with the inventory systems. They are not as intuitive as some of the other functions, and I think that some of the functionality such as creating inventory items, purchase orders, etc should be redone with the user in mind. Creating a purchase order is clunky and takes several steps, especially if you have to input a new inventory item. Instead of building the PO and the new item and supplier in one PO-based module, you have to update several registers first and then create a PO from the inventory module. I love how FoodReady significantly reduces the opportunity for human error in our record keeping, which has been the greatest help to us. The automation and streamlining of tasks, which were previously impossible with a paper system, are invaluable. The ability to build custom reports quickly and easily is fantastic, making it user-friendly for anyone reviewing them. I really appreciate how intuitive the system is, which has been a great help for onboarding our teams. The support tab and the video library in FoodReady make learning the system both quick and easy. I personally like FoodReady's inventory management capabilities better than other options like Netsuite. Since everything is tracked the way it is, it's a great way to make sure that we're following the first in, first out. The software is very user friendly and it makes navigating the site simple. There's some pages that I wish filters attached to them (I've submitted them as suggestions). For example, in the file manager, it would be great to be able to filter by document type i.e. Lab Results. It would also be a great feature to allow document uploads per batch of product.
