"Font Book is perfect app for organizing fonts!"
5/5
What do you like best about Font Book?

Font Book is extremely helpful for organizing fonts into categories and styles. It helps me access fonts specific to clients and/or projects. It is very simple to use compared to other applications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Font Book?

I do not like the limitations of creating subsets of fonts within the application. It could be better if it allowed multiple groups or sets of fonts, which would improve the overall function of the app. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A native font app that pretty much does all that you could need"
4/5
What do you like best about Font Book?

Because its native to MacOS it really is a seamless experience having it manage typefaces. It also isnt conflicting with any other software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Font Book?

A little bit more clunky of a UI compared to maybe some of the other modern font management softwares. Something might take 2 or 3 clicks to accomplish while some other apps might only need one intuitve click. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Font Book Personal Review"
4/5
What do you like best about Font Book?

It's free and very straightforward navigating through the Font Book system, which is organized in 3 columns when you open the app. You can also add your own collection and name it whatever you'd like, and then add specific fonts to that collection. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Font Book?

Font Book has limited options, which is a downfall to it's simplicity. If you try to download a handful of fonts, tons of windows pop up separately, and it isn't very pleasant to deal with. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Extremely easy to use when downloading new fonts."
5/5
What do you like best about Font Book?

I design through Adobe's product indesign on the daily. When purchasing and downloading new fonts it is very easy to drag and drop into font book and in design directly recognizes that font is on my computer and I can immediately use it in adobe indesign Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Font Book?

Font book is a very simple application from my use. I have not dove very deep into it so I'm not sure all of the uses one can't get out of it. There is nothing that I dislike about the product but it does seem very simple Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy to use for preinstalled, difficult to add new"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Font Book?

I love that the font book comes preloaded with so many great fonts. The design is simple, the user experience is extremely simple if you have a Mac, and there is no problem if you want to stick to the existing fonts that are in the book. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Font Book?

I have had some difficulty when adding new fonts that I download for free off other site like 1001 fonts, freefonts, etc. The files wont read properly for some reason or aren't compatible and simply show the characters as squares. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy to use fonts from library and easy to install fonts and use across products in mac"
5/5
What do you like best about Font Book?

Easy and simple tool for fonts library. As a designer, I download a lot of fonts and use them across all products in my mac Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Font Book?

Duplication of fonts should be automatically resolved. It creates multiple same fonts sometimes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Font Book"
5/5
What do you like best about Font Book?

Font Book is an excellent program that comes with the mac. It is a great way to organize font libraries for a specific use case. The program is straightforward to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Font Book?

The product is not very front and center, meaning most people don't even know it exists. Although for most tasks the functionality of Font Book is find, some developers may find it useful to download a more premium app. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Font Book is a Great Way to Organize Fonts for Clients with Some Limitations"
4/5
What do you like best about Font Book?

We use fontbook to organize limited numbers of fonts for collaborator work in addition to fonts that we organize in adobe programs. We love the option to be able to compare small amounts of text with the different fonts via zoom to show collaborators font options without the hassle of opening more complex programs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Font Book?

We do wish that there was more incorporation of online databases of fonts for easy import. Currently we use other websites to download then import separately. This is honestly one of the negatives we have for font book. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Font Book Review"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Font Book?

• Font Book is a really helpful font management tool.

• You can search your fonts and view a preview of every font you have installed on your computer.

• It will also let you know if you have duplicate or corrupted fonts and remove any duplicate fonts.

• With Font Book, you can categorize fonts and create font collections.

• I like how easy it is to view all the metadata associated with a font like author, copyright year, and language availability.

• Font Book is a really helpful tool, for installing, searching, and managing your font collection, especially for designers who may have a rather large font collection. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Font Book?

• I wish the Font Book application synced between devices. I use a laptop and computer, and if I install fonts on one device, I still need to manually install them on the other device. It would be helpful if Font Book had a syncing feature like the Font Base application does.

• Although you can create your own categories or collections, it would be helpful if the Font Book automatically tagged or categorized your fonts into types. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Very bare bones font manager"
1/5
What do you like best about Font Book?

There's no stand-out feature to this native MacOS app. It does as one would expect, and nothing more or less. It manages your fonts and tells you if there are any conflicts or doubles. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Font Book?

I mean, since it's pretty bare-bones, there's nothing I outright dislike. It handles my fonts, installs them, and that's about it. There's nothing you can really dislike. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
