**What do you like best about FMX?**

What I like best about FMX is that it gives us one central place to manage operations, communication, and accountability across the division. It has helped improve organization, tracking, preventive maintenance, inventory management, and response time while also creating better visibility for staff, faculty, and administration.

FMX has become more than just a work order system for us — it supports planning, documentation, budgeting, asset tracking, and overall lab operations. The flexibility of the system allows us to adapt workflows to fit the needs of our instructional labs while keeping everything documented and easy to track.

One of the biggest strengths is that it helps move requests and projects from “hallway conversations” into a structured process so items are less likely to get missed.

**What do you dislike about FMX?**

One challenge with FMX is the equipment search feature worked better for searching by asset numbers, as that would make locating equipment faster and easier.

**What problems is FMX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

FMX helps us keep track of preventive maintenance, inventory, equipment, and operational workflows in one system, which improves organization, accountability, and consistency across our labs. It also helps ensure tasks are documented and less likely to be missed.

One area that would greatly benefit our operation would be adding a way to report missing tools directly during planned maintenance execution. We inventory 36 toolboxes with approximately 104 tools each, so having a built-in missing tool reporting feature tied to PMs would improve tracking and efficiency significantly.

**What do you like best about FMX?**

I love the entire system and people!  Easy to set-up and integrate other systems' data.  It has transformed how we operate our facilities from top to bottom.  The entire school system is on board with using it due to its ease of use.  Great facilities usage calendar that is easily navigable with the filter feature.  Schedule request system that can produce auto-generated work orders which streamlines the process and reduces work for the requester.   We use all features multiple times per day, but primarily use maintenance requests, schedule requests, calendar, planned maintenance, work list and to do lists the most. Outstanding customer technical support!  I wouldn't use anything else after purchasing this.

**What do you dislike about FMX?**

I really don't have anything...worse thing that I can say is that they continue to work on a small glitch in the auto-generated workorder from the schedule request tab, but I get feedback and I am confident it will be solved soon.

**What problems is FMX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We never had total buy-in from our faculty and staff when using a competitor's brand.  It is so easy to use and train people on that it is used by almost everyone in the organization.  It's easier for them to use FMX and know they will get feedback on the status of their request than to email or address a situation when they see you in the hallway.

**What do you like best about FMX?**

It is very organized and more than one administration can use the system at a time.

**What do you dislike about FMX?**

The calendar is hard to read and the import of calendars is also hard to read.

**What problems is FMX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Facility scheduling! This is my main (am the admin for everything though) department and it has made scheduling so much easier and virtually no double bookings. We also us it for maintenance and custodial needs, tech needs, and now transportation. With this many departments working out of the same system and some of them even overlapping we have minimal issues. So much time has been saved and the system itself has been easy to integrate into our school. Staff member who thought they would never use it, log into FMX every week. Community members  are regular users as well. FMX has become part of our onboarding process for new staff members as well. From teachers to bus drivers, everyone gets their own account assigned to them.

The depth, breadth and flexibility of the FMX platform is unparalleled in the industry.  On top of that, their customer service is second to none! Furthermore, their commitment to remain cutting edge in the CMMS world is bringing useful and important enhancements to the system.

I have yet to find something I dislike about FMX.  When I have discovered user issues they have always been addressed right away or I have found that they are already in the works to being fixed!

**What problems is FMX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

At our school district we use FMX as a single portal for all requests.  This includes all requests for scheduling, maintenance and technology.  In addition, we make great use of the ability to track our utilities, resources, assets, and feed all of this into the capital planner module.  Having a single portal to feed all of the above into and then have it tracked, proper staff notified and provide a system that allows for communication directly to the necessary people is a true time saver.

I appreciate the ability to customize the product and how easy it is for our staff to use.  Support is also very responsive and thorough in providing solutions.

**What do you dislike about FMX?**

The system falls short when it comes to generating notifications or alerts for upcoming/past-due items, and it also doesn’t offer a way to host technical documentation or a knowledge base. As a result, users don’t have a self-service option to find answers before submitting a request.

**What problems is FMX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It’s the primary place we use for many types of requests, and it’s easy to use, which makes onboarding new employees straightforward. The option to submit requests via email and communicate that way is also a real benefit. The calendar for schedule requests is helpful as well, since it allows us to post updates to other sources (website, calendar of events, etc.) in real time, which is very beneficial.

FMX simplifies tracking our daily work order tickets with customizable reminders. Previously, we managed our tasks using an Excel spreadsheet. When I do have an issue, customer service responds quickly and is easy to work with.

I dislike the recent changes in admin settings. There are now many more steps to make changes that were simple just a few months ago.

A couple of times, we’ve found it to be an all-or-nothing option. It also doesn’t keep reminders for repetitive items that time out (calendar-wise).

**What do you like best about FMX?**

FMX is very easy to use in all modules. Work flow is easy to track. The support staff is awesome to speak with as they always have solutions on hand or are quick to find one when needed.
I used another provider before and it was a mess. We use multiple modules, but we get the most use out of the Work Order module which we use daily. This allows us to track progress on issues and make sure they are followed up with and resolved in a timely manner.
I had some reservations when switching from the other platform but the success team was able to complete the work for us and provdied for a quick, seamless intergration.

**What do you dislike about FMX?**

After using this platform for three years the toughest part was the start up, but again the success team was able to a majority of this work so we were able to hit the ground running.

**What problems is FMX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

FMX has made our work order process very smooth. Training new staff takes a very little amount of time.

The implementation was seamless with outstanding customer support, and the software’s versatility—from maintenance requests to mapping and capital planning—makes it a real value across multiple departments.

So far, very little—the platform is feature-rich, and we’re still exploring its full potential. The only challenge is that with so many useful tools, it takes time to roll out everything campus-wide.

It's the one place for the school community to request maintenance assistance and receive timely feedback on the progress of their request.

It is probably just the fact that we don't use it enough or explore the options enough, but the system can at times be a little cumbersome or difficult to understand. The approval process for example, who gets emailed, who approves what etc. can be a little confusing at times for me.

**What problems is FMX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before we were using FMX we would constantly have multiple groups scheduled in the same area which would sometimes lead to an argument about who's turn it was. This has cut down on a lot of those interactions.

**What do you like best about FMX?**

FMX was very easy to implement and the process was quite quick compared to some other software platforms.   Early in our use the customer support team was fantastic and really worked with us to tailor the system for our needs.   We really like that we can funnel reactive maintenance, tech requests, preventative maintenance and a central calendar system into one site.   It is very simple for our staff to learn and use and they do so daily.    The equipment function has really allowed us to have build histories for what was done when which really helps with troubleshooting and future planning.  The PM section has allowed us to easily develop a very robust and comprehensive planned maintenance approach.

**What do you dislike about FMX?**

Early on in our relationship, FMX felt like an attentive partner and was very open to suggestions and product development.   We also had someone assigned to us who made regular checks to see what we needed or to get feedback.   But, as with many software companies, apparently the growth of the product has not been met with growth in customer support or attention.   Suggestions for improvement are generally met the "black hole" treatment.   Nobody ever proactively contacts us.   Improvements suggested several years ago and were promised to be delivered over  a year ago still don't exist.   Every time I contact someone, I seem to have  a different rep who is servicing my needs.   It felt like a young and energetic Dude Solutions when I first started with FMX but is degrading into a "Brightly" lack-of-attention and seeming care for the client needs.   Probably the significant price increase or inevitable buyout will be soon to follow.   Sad....

Central calendar and scheduling, two-way real time communications for work requests, PMs tied to equipment and vice-versa.

FMX's interface is highly intuitive, making it accessible for both experienced and new users.  The system is highly customizable.  The clean design and user-friendly navigation ensure that users can quickly learn who to utilize all the features.  The Calendar screen is particularly valuable, offering an easy-to read overview of schedules and availability with just a quick glance. FMS offers a range of support options including phone and email support. The support team is responsive and knowledgeable, providing quick resolutions to any issues.

**What do you dislike about FMX?**

I have not found anything that I dislike about the system.

**What problems is FMX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy tracking of the status of work orders and the schedule and availability of various district facilities.

The paperless work order system and ease of entering work orders. The ability for our Technicians to see their work orders in real time and prioritize them and streamline the finalizing process.

**What do you dislike about FMX?**

I feel the reports do not detail out all the info we are looking for but I am sure each organization is different with what info they need.  We are unique in the fact that we have so many purchases and transactions that need to be loaded.  The ability to add a credit invoice would be helpful as we sometimes to make returns and want the cost figures correct on the work orders.

**What do you like best about FMX?**

FMX benefits include: Web-based, search filters on home screens, custome fields. It is easy to seach for past or present requests. I am able to customize portoions of the system to include fields that are specific to our organization. The staff have been very knowledgable about the abilities and limitaitons of their product. If I were given the opportunity to choose a MSS again, it would be very dificult to persuade me to choose something other than FMX. Changing over to FMX was a good experience, and the FMX team were major contributors to the success.

**What do you dislike about FMX?**

There are some features that I have used on other platforms that would be nice to implement in FMX. I would like to track purchases and labor hours seperatly from a responce, or have a dedicated messaging feature and have responces be strictly for logging KPI seperating them from messaging. Another thing that would be nice in the maintenance requests is to activate a customized alert to notify on specific dates and times that is not associated with a due date. The work around on these two items are a little cumbersome but not a deal breaker.

**What problems is FMX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

FMX makes it possible for staff members to request repairs. We can track logs of which maitenance items have been finalized. I was able to eliminate several different paper request forms and have everything avaialble on one home page.

I appreciate the comprehensive nature of FMX. There is a lot packed into the base package and can be enhanced with additional module at a cost.

**What do you dislike about FMX?**

While doing many things, there are opportunities to have more feature rich modules. In particular, the technology and maintenance requests. I have given suggestions and requests, but they just go on a list. As a tech director, I left a solid helpdesk software application to adopt FMX since it was a part of the suite and we wanted to minimize the number of systems for our employees. It was taking a step or two backwards. The speed of FMX could be improved as well.

The scheduling of events and the integration of our hvac system works wonderfully! This saves time and money!

We like using FMX for all our facility information.  It has been a very effective tool for our staff to log facility tickets.  Great trending tool as well.

The software has been extremely helpful with ability to manage our church assets and maintenance request in a timely manner

It takes time to keep on top of the input of data, which is a management issue on my part.

It keeps me on track in managing the facility in a timely manner. I am then able to work order the facility requests so then I can move on to keeping the care of the facility as my highest priority

**What do you like best about FMX?**

It is very easy to get started and once everything is input, it is very easy to use.  Everything is within reach, quickly.

**What do you dislike about FMX?**

The cost, unfortunately it is very expensive.

**What problems is FMX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For me, the it solves looking up equipment.  Since I have input and continue to input all services and anything else we need to file on equipment it is super easy to find out anything we need to know at any time.

**What do you like best about FMX?**

We have their Maintenance and Scheduling modules for our 8 locations, and we could not be more impressed with the process of designing workflows, disciplined communication, and support. FMX staff has bent over backward to help us set up and improve our solutions.  Their support team and account managers are always available to help us work through issues and provide clarity on potential workflow improvements and training. I have been in the corporate world for over 50 years, and without a doubt, FMX support is the most professional and exceptionally responsive I have ever dealt with. You can not go wrong with their offerings.

**What do you dislike about FMX?**

It might sound contrived, but I can't offer anything.

**What problems is FMX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are improving our maintence work order submission forms. As we expand the use of the work order process, we have identified a need to simplify the form to make participation less challanging.

FMX is very user friendly. I love that it can be customized to be as simple or as complex as you want it to be.

**What do you dislike about FMX?**

The cost to add on additional features is pretty pricey, especially for small school like us, and especially when a lot of our money coming in is defined by the state and not us.

**What problems is FMX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Staff communicating issues through the work order system instead of just telling us word of mouth or texting us.

**What do you like best about FMX?**

FMX is very user friendly and when showing collegues how to navigate their features they are not overwhelmed by the user interface. When I have a question FMX offers great customer support in a very timely manner. We use different features frequently and we like to have our users to find easily navigate the software with out feeling overhwhelmed.

**What do you dislike about FMX?**

At times FMX takes a while to load a page.

**What problems is FMX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

FMX is making it easier for us to use their inventory module, and work orders utilizing the maps.

I'm not able to create a maintenance request directly from the schedule REQUEST module (I can in schedule OCCURRENCES, but I don't use that function as much as I do the request screen)

It allows us to track work completion; provide organized scheduling of events and vehicle use

They are local in Ohio and easy to contact by email or phone and they respond within a very reasonable time.

I have not experience anything negative with FMX.

FMX software allows us to handle all of our inquiries from 50 buildings to myself in very organized and efficient manner.  It immediately solved the process we had prior to FMX which which me receiving inquiries very fragemently.

**What do you like best about FMX?**

The ability to pull up previous tickets. I have had trouble with users stating that they have entered requests from weeks ago and have not been helped and Ive always had an easy time locating tickets in FMX.

**What do you dislike about FMX?**

The site can glitch and if im writing up a ticket and go to submit it everything will disappear automatically. That is very frustrating when I am taking multiple calls and have to enter multiple tickets at one time.

**What problems is FMX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is assisting with capturing users requests. Most of the time, individuals have a difficult time with inputting a ticket, but with FMX, everything is laid out in a nice format which makes it easy for the user to write what issue they are having and how they need assistance.

It allows me to have communication between the user and me. I love how I can make a maintenance request and put a technology request in with the same system.

Not very end user-friendly. Staff members don't know they don't need to put their name in the "On behalf of" field.

It allows multiple users to contribute to a ticket. With this communication can be flawless.

FMX has integrated the school's maintenance, event scheduling, kitchen, custodial, and IT departments into one collaborative platform. FMX has provided the configuration available to fine-tune their day-to-day workflow. When events come in (or change), all the involved people gain the notification and details they need to get the job done.

**What do you dislike about FMX?**

It is so customizable there is a learning curve customizing the forms, you can customize the users and it's a continuous improvement. We went from paper to GoFMX and it was a big jump for our faculty and staff.

**Recommendations to others considering FMX:**

They offer a free trial period. This is really what sold me on the product. I knew it could do what we need it to do.

**What problems is FMX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

FMX has integrated the school's maintenance, event scheduling, kitchen, custodial, and IT departments into one collaborative platform. FMX has provided the configuration available to fine-tune their day-to-day workflow. When events come in (or change), all the involved people gain the notification and details they need to get the job done. FMX has also greatly increased the efficiency of working with the outsourced custodial staff. When the maintenance team notices a problem, rather than flagging down a custodian in the hallway, they can assign them to a request and the custodian receives an instant notification.

It doesn't take a long time to load, it is easier to use than our previous management software. I can even access from my phone if I am unable to get to a computer.

I haven't found anything that I don't like so far.

Nothing is overbooked and I can see the complete schedule of events easily when I first log in.

**What do you like best about FMX?**

Now that we are in a mutli-site environment - it's helpful to be able to see all campus calendars in one place. Love the ease of the search and copy features also.  Plus you can build lead/lag (setup/tear down) time into an event and still post the actual event start/stop time without confusion.

**What do you dislike about FMX?**

Not being able to edit just one occurrence of  a reoccurring  schedule without making a copy of it - editing it and then deleting the one occurrence you changed.

**Recommendations to others considering FMX:**

Involve the end users when building the initial setup - use the names they use for their rooms/buildings etc. 

**What problems is FMX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In a multi-site environment it facilitates approvals and getting all the right support departments in the loop (AV, Food service etc).

The software itself is great, but by far the best part was working with our implementation specialist. She was fast, reliable, and responsive, and I'd have to say that she is probably the best vendor I've worked with.

Setting up some of the user permissions and notifications can be a bit cumbersome.

**Recommendations to others considering FMX:**

Go for it! Their implementation team is top notch!

We use FMX to schedule shared resources and manage technology requests. We replaced existing, in-house, legacy systems with great success.
