What do you like best about OpenBlue Workplace?

I use SmartView on a daily basis and have really enjoyed the speed and flexibility of the software. I use SmartView to build complex reports that are distributed to the senior leaders of my organization. I also use the tools for Ad Hoc reports that I can create extremely quick. I would highly recommend this software to anyone that creates various reports on daily basis. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OpenBlue Workplace?

One of my biggest complaints about SmartView is that you must used their defined parameters. There is very little flexibility of how the data is retrieved. Once you get used to the constraints it is an effective tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about OpenBlue Workplace?

It populates the data in Excel so its quick and easy to build and create financial models then distribute to the rest of the organization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OpenBlue Workplace?

Some of the options that are chosen as my default such as formula and format preservations, keep switching back to its original value. You can`t use quick and easy shortcuts anymore as you could in Essbase. It seems like Essbase was faster to pull and populate the same data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Fairly quick and simple to learn and its a great tool other than the fact that the options never stay as selected. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Quick business reporting saves time, with added macros financial models with Smartview can be used by the entire organization, even for employees that are not familiar with the system but want to take advantage of the quick data access. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We move lots of people from workstation to workstation. This software automates this process. We also use this to record service needs so work orders can be created. Your floor plans will need to be in a pretty clean state for implementation. Many implementations require time and money to standardize floor plan layers to properly display within the application. Keep your security simple, and configure the system with Single Sign On (SAML for example) to make it easy to share the information with people outside of the Real Estate department. What problems is OpenBlue Workplace solving and how is that benefiting you?

Understanding the activity within the Real Estate portfolio allows us to make better decisions. The user-friendly interface has allowed us to bring other non Real Estate users into the fold to expand the systems adoption and usage, in turn improving the accuracy of the data.
