Having worked with on the programming side of FMOD for the past month , my favorite thing is the ability to delve deep into the low-level workings and implement it however you choose. A higher-level system is also provided, which also includes the ability to load sound banks created by your audio artists. These can also include events and triggers that allow a game to interact with the audio itself to change how it plays.

The one thing I've come to dislike about FMOD while working with it via C# is the wrapper. The C# wrapper is literally a direct conversion of the C++ API. While it makes interpreting the documentation a bit easier, barely any of the wrapper aligns with C# coding etiquette. One example would be that many of the enumerated values are fully capitalized and prefixed with various words. All of the structure types are capitalized too.
