"Effortless Data Automation and Integration with FME Platform"
4.5/5
What do you like best about FME Platform?

I like how FME Platform makes data automation and transformation easy with its visual workflow builder and strong integrations. The platform supports multiple data formats, saving a lot of manual work and improving efficiency. I find the workflow automation and drag-and-drop interface especially powerful for building ETL pipelines without heavy coding. It supports API cloud platforms, SQL databases, GIS data, JSON, XML, and many other formats, which is great. The scheduling automation, reusable workflows, real-time integrations, and built-in transformers simplify complex data processing tasks, saving time and reducing manual errors. I also appreciate that it is flexible, easy to learn for daily operations, and helps reduce manual work while improving workflow consistency and efficiency. The initial setup was quite easy and straightforward, with simple connections to databases, APIs, and cloud services. The visual interface made it quick to build workflows, and the documentation and community support were helpful for learning advanced transformations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about FME Platform?

One area that could be improved is the performance with very large or complex workflows, as they sometimes feel resource heavy or harder to debug and manage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful GIS Transformations with Hundreds of Formats and a Helpful Visual Preview"
5/5
What do you like best about FME Platform?

There are hundreds of input and output formats available. Transformers can be used to perform a wide range of GIS operations on the data. I also like the visual preview, which makes it easy to check the progress of the data transformation as it runs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about FME Platform?

While Safe does allow side-by-side version installation, an in-place upgrade is not an option, and transformer upgrades are time-consuming. FME Flow upgrades are much better than they were a few years back, but they still lack the reliability needed to give me full confidence when going into a Flow upgrade. "FME Ended Our Data Format Headaches with One Powerful Workspace"
4/5
What do you like best about FME Platform?

Every quarter our field teams were exporting pipe network updates in one format and asset management platform was expecting something different. Someone always spent full day fixing those files manually. But after we built FME workspace to handle that transformation it just stopped being a problem. Geometry reprojection and attribute mapping in same workspace, no extra scripts. FeatureMerger transformer saved us from writing custom logic we would have to maintain ourselves. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about FME Platform?

Error messaging during workspace execution is not good. When something fails mid run the log is verbose in wrong places and missing where it matters. We spent almost two weeks on a workspace that was silently dropping features because of one attribute mismatch. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fast Workspace Creation That Streamlines Data Analysis and Transformation"
4.5/5
What do you like best about FME Platform?

I can whip up a workspace in a matter of minutes to analyze, transform and output data based on a critical query that requires urgent response or I can spend quality time generating a workspace that can perform absolute wonders in the essential workflow of our data from one system to another. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about FME Platform?

There is not a whole lot to dislike. My only complaints would be issues related to license restart after a brief hibernation mode, the odd crashes and at times slow processing speeds. There are also a few transformer tweaks that would elevate the effectiveness and capabilities in the Revit and AutoCAD arenas Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

4.5/5
What do you like best about FME Platform?

What I like most about FME Platform is how flexible it is for connecting different systems and automating data workflows. Our organization works with information coming from databases GIS tools spreadsheets APIs and cloud applications and FME helped centralize those integrations into one manageable environment. Instead of manually converting and validating files every day most of those tasks now run automatically. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about FME Platform?

The learning curve can be difficult for new users especially when handling advanced transformations or enterprise scale workflows. Some functions require strong technical understanding before teams can fully use the platform efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about FME Platform?

One downside is that it can feel a bit complex at the beginning, especially if you’re new to data integration tools. The interface has a learning curve, and some advanced features take time to fully understand. It’s powerful, but not the most beginner-friendly at first. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful Data Integration with a Learning Curve"
4.5/5
What do you like best about FME Platform?

I use FME Platform for data integration and transformation across multiple systems. It helps me automate workflows, convert data between different formats, and ensure consistency when working with large datasets from various sources. I like its flexibility in handling different types of data and formats. The visual, no-code interface makes it easier to design complex workflows, and the wide range of integrations allows seamless data exchange between systems. It integrates well with other tools like GIS software and cloud services, and works smoothly with platforms like QGIS and databases like PostgreSQL, making data movement and transformation efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about FME Platform?

One area that could be improved is the learning curve. While the platform is powerful, it can feel overwhelming for new users at first. Better onboarding resources or simplified tutorials would make it easier to get started. FME Platform could improve onboarding by offering more structured beginner tutorials, interactive in-app guidance, and short task-based videos. Clearer documentation with simple examples and real-world use cases would also help new users learn faster. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
