It makes the Web Design process so much easier, by having both a structure/sitemap, but also a tool through which the client can use to provide the necessary content. **What do you dislike about Flowmapp?** Not so much dislike, but I wish there would be an easier way to add the different page sections directly on the Sitemap, without going inside a page. One of their competitors does this, and I really like that. But apart from that, it's a great tool overall. **Recommendations to others considering Flowmapp:** Great tool. Highly recommend **What problems is Flowmapp solving and how is that benefiting you?** Flowmapp helped me build a better process in my business. I use it throughout different stages during a website project. To start with I use it right at the beginning when I send out a proposal, I do it together with a Sitemap built in Flowmapp. And I use it once the project has started to structure the different pages, and collect content, and feedback from clients. ### 3. This is an excellent tool for collaboration within a team, as well as sharing your thought process with your clients. Rarely do I adjust processes based on features of a tool, but in this case Flowmapp's features have helped us to better define our internal processes. I have also been very happy with the level of customer support I have received, both in response time and quality. **What do you dislike about Flowmapp?** There have been very few issues which we have encountered, and those that we have we can figure out a way to work around. The main downside we've discovered so far is not being able to copy objects (i.e., personas and user flows) between projects, or save them as templates. However, the support team has informed me that this is part of the future roadmap. We've decided to create a "starter" project that can include all of our Personas as a base, duplicate this to start a new project, then remove what we don't need. We have also encountered some issues with the export of Word documents, mainly in the formatting of the description fields. PDFs export great though, so we will use these until Word exporting is improved. **Recommendations to others considering Flowmapp:** Until you are able to save objects (personas, user flows, etc.) as templates or copy across projects, I would suggest creating one "starter" project with a base site map, user flows, and personas. Then when starting a new project, duplicate this "starter" project and remove what you don't need. This will save a lot of time in the future. **What problems is Flowmapp solving and how is that benefiting you?** We were searching for a way to improve the early iterations of a web design project. We wanted to include more strategy up front, instead of jumping right into the site map. We also wanted to greatly increase collaboration between web design, UX, content, and creative. We did research into a lot of similar tools, but none were as easy to use or checked as many of our boxes as Flowmapp, Not only did it help us approach our web design projects more strategically, but it also helped us to work more collaboratively. This is especially important right now in our remote work environment. I'm excited to continue using this tool into the future, and use features like Journey Maps which we have not yet explored. ### 4. The goal being to get to doing the fun (creative) stuff more quickly, whilst bring the customer along for the ride. After weeks of mapping out our processes, a member of our team discovered FlowMapp - it was as if someone had read our collective minds and created a piece of software that followed our exact way of working. The combination of features that FlowMapp offers is fantastic and complemented our process perfectly, and as an added benefit, also added new things to our process that we hadn't thought of (such as the ability to create a customer journey map). It's clear the team have thought very carefully about the interface - generally, your first guess at how something will work, is exactly how it does work. This means the learning curve is really shallow and our team has been able to start using it with virtually no training. **What do you dislike about Flowmapp?** A lot of the tools we use are brandable and whitelabelled, meaning from a customer's point of view it looks like software we've created. Unfortunately this isn't the case with Flowmapp - it's not possible to add your own branding colours, or have a custom domain. Adding this on would take this solution to superstar status! We find it an essential part of our development toolkit for every build. The best part for me is the ability in which you can assign copy/photos & assets to each individual page, which makes the development phase so much more streamlined. The tagging is phenomenal so you know instantly which pages require content, those which are approved and much more. Alongside a plethora of other goodies, it's worth mentioning that the collaboration with clients works like a charm too, as does the user-flow planning, so that you can identify complex workflows in a digestable manner. So many software tools that are designed to help us improve our workflow are but are bloated, unintuitive and with a steep learning curve. I hope that FlowMapp stayt focussed and don't try to be all things to all men. I love it, and have already recommended it to others who love it too. **What do you dislike about Flowmapp?** As with pretty much any productivity / project management software, they tend to be hell-bend on getting you up to a 'team' plan. I'm a company of one, on purpose. I intend to stay that way, but it doesn't mean I only have 5 projects in the air at any given time. I'd like to be able to see all my projects, without needing to archive, without paying for a 'team'. I see the pro plan has recently increased from 5 - 7 projects, which is why I just decided to pay up for the year. Apart from that, no real negatives so far. I only use the sitemap feature so far, but look forwards to implementing other areas into my workflow when the opportunity arises. Well done guys. Great product, realistic price point. The UI is very intuitive and helps you think of what you need to build your desired flows. The user flow feature greatly improves the ability to show to the client what is the actual goal of new website, and how my team is going to achive it. **What do you dislike about Flowmapp?** The learning curve of the software is steep for clients that needs to review the planned website. It always needs someone from our team to be presenting the map and tools around. I do rerely get my clients to input any comments, data or actual structure changes inside the FlowMapp ui. They often analize it ang get back to us with remarks in e-mail, which we then put ourselves on the map. **Recommendations to others considering Flowmapp:** If You need a software to organize website production workflow from the start, Flow Mapp is for You. It does organize all essential data about the project, no matter the scale. It is a robust, fast and visuallly atractive tool that helps putting abstract idea of website structure and user flow, in to form that is understandable for endclient. **What problems is Flowmapp solving and how is that benefiting you?** It speeds up workflow. Flowmapp let's me show to my client the actual plan of the website that we are building for them, and it let's us do it extremely fast. It makes collaboration between all strategy stakeholders easy and productive and facilitates the briefing of creative designers who must turn ideas into wireframes and page designs. Newly introduced visual ways of mapping customer journeys and personas seem equally promising. **What do you dislike about Flowmapp?** Post strategy ideation - pre-wireframing stage: We'd like to sketch page sections structure a little more visually (like 2 sections, text on the left, picture on the right, CTA, etc.). That would make instructions to designers who create the wireframes clearer. **What problems is Flowmapp solving and how is that benefiting you?** As we run strategy workshops for defining what a new web site should be like, we structure ideas directly into Flowmapp's site map page cards. This makes us much more productive as we validate each page goal, structure and content with all stakeholders who don't have to be technical to use it. It then immediatly becomes the set of instructions for creative designers. Then production of wireframes and creative designs is made in Adobe XD. The Customer Journey Mapping functionality makes complex sets of information more visual. It's quicker to use than XL and facilitates the delivery of our messages, thus sustaining a positive feeling from our clients. ### 19. The ability to add coloured tags and even insert some content structure to the pages are really helpful too. **What do you dislike about Flowmapp?** It would be great if you could add multiple sitemaps per project. And an export option to import the pages directly into WordPress. I guess these are more feature requests than 'dislikes'. **Recommendations to others considering Flowmapp:** When testing FlowMapp out for the first time, try creating a sitemap, and userflow for an existing project, before trying to start from scratch. **What problems is Flowmapp solving and how is that benefiting you?** It's much easier for me to create and tweak a site heirarchy and userflow of a website on here than trying to draw static versions on paper. The speed and convenience of creating site maps is much higher than in other services. I use it in every project. Customers are very inclined to get a visual map of the site and are imbued with great confidence in us as professionals. In addition, the service is constantly evolving and more and more new features appear. Thanks to the Flowmapp team and good luck in further development. **What do you dislike about Flowmapp?** I would very much like to see more flexible tariffs separately for services. After a click, a pop-up came up for the options of the figure. It saves massive time without swimming the mouse all around the screen to see which figure to use or where the figure window is, the drag into the position I want. The grid system to organize alignment is just incredible. It's the most useful because I don't need to worry about the exact arrangement of objects. Designers would understand how things get annoying when there's a half-point pixel goes wrong for one figure. The system also works with the arrows, and I'd like to give applause for that. **What do you dislike about Flowmapp?** The only downside is that the text formatting feature is restricted. However, the contrast between colors overcame the trouble. **What problems is Flowmapp solving and how is that benefiting you?** I'm handling the big data management SaaS. There are complex user-flows and many different scenarios to provide user flexibility services. Compared to other platforms, FlowMapp provides one of the fastest services and doesn't require a lot of memories for the big project. ### 23. You can collaborate with other team members and see their updates in real-time. The interface is clean and neat. **What do you dislike about Flowmapp?** Of my biggest pain points: CUSTOMER JOURNEY MAPS 1. The SVG export functionality is buggy. Not all graphics render properly, specifically the customer sentiment emoticons. 2. There lacks customization to color some of the map headers. Apply colors is a very manual process versus a more efficient process of changing a "theme" that ripples through the entire project. If there is one, it's not clear. 3. You cannot add your own icons or technologies to it's "Channels" template. I can create the basics of a site map in minutes and collaboratively expand it out with my clients. The export options are great - particularly PDF export - it creates a professional looking document which I can take to client meetings or send to them for review. The multitude of visual page type images are a really nice touch and help clients get a better understanding of what a site may look like. Being able to attache files to pages is really handy when adding copy to sections. Some clients don't like to use online tools so prefer to email through copy. Being able to attach their original documents is very helpful. This is also useful for attaching sketches, images and other documents. I have not used the recently added process mapping feature but look forward to trying it out. **What do you dislike about Flowmapp?** The only point i'd like to see improved is the 'save' functionality when editing page content. I think save should happen automatically and not be required on each section edited. Small gripe but would make a smoother user experience.
