Update (3/27/2024): I was contacted by Flowjin today, and they have refunded my final payment and provided me with additional credits. This goes a long way in restoring trust. I have not changed the original review. But the original review was a "2," and I have changed that to a "7" based on this response. Thank you, Flowjin. Flowjin seems to do what it is supposed to do. For me, it automatically imported the XSpaces, which was nice. I didn't have to think about it at all. This was helpful. Also, working with video clips was somewhat intuitive, and that helped. To be honest, I do not know if that was to my credit as a highly-skilled, very experienced videographer or to Flowjin's credit as an online software. But, at the least, they did not "over-complicate" things, and in this day and age, that is great! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Flowjin? I canceled Flowjin three days after the subscription for that month had been billed to my account. I canceled because I had quite a few services doing the same thing, and I didn't need all of those services. But what I found out helped me know I made the right decision. When I canceled three days into my next month, they canceled my video service THAT DAY! You probably have seen or had this happen, where a business warns you that the service will end immediately, as is their policy. It isn't cool (and I am not sure it is legal), but they do that YOU have to remember to cancel moments before they recharge you the next month. It becomes a vicious cycle of keeping the service going with the risk of accidentally having your bank account charged when you don't want it charged again the next month -- all the while, in favor of the vendor and NOT you. So, if it is legal, it at least is not kind behavior toward another human being (you). Also, when the account is changed from a premium (paid/upgraded) account to a free account all payment records are "purged." Obviously they still exist but if you want to be able to see them (e.g., for tax purposes for your business), you would have to go check your bank statement because they are no longer viewable. This comes under the category of business operations. I canceled the service but gave them a chance that I was wrong and checked to see if it was true that I could not use the account. Sadly, it was true. I could not use the account within seconds of canceling the re-billing for the next month. So, even though I had PAID for that current month, I could not use the service at all! I waited a couple of weeks and checked the bank account to see if they had issued a refund for the service for which I couldn't access but for which I had PAID in FULL and no refund, either. I PAID for 27 days. NO REFUND. NO SERVICE. NO RECORDS online. NOTHING, except that they willingly received my money for nothing in return. For that reason, I could never recommend this company. I am happy to have found a competitor company that treats people with respect, as human beings, and with dignity. They have 24/7 support and respond to support tickets within moments. They also have a product that has the same features (and more!) as Flowjin. It is not about the money. It is about the people, and I want to see people treated with kindness, and that is why, even though it does not give me pleasure to submit this sort of review, I do, because I want people to find companies that treat them well and treat them with dignity. Flowjin is making podcast clips faster and less expensive than what I did for years which was pay my assistant/editor hourly for 2 hour long podcast and only 2-3 clips.
