Easy-to-Use, Flexible Mapping with Reporting and Custom Icons **Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** August 07, 2026 **What do you like best about Floor Plan Mapper?** The program itself is easy to use; the navigation to different parts of the program is simple, uploading and adding floors is easy, creating areas, employees, desks, and more is also very easy to do. It allows the user more free will in what they use the program for compared to other programs of a similar nature. It's cost-effective. You can also download data/get reports from the information you input and the maps you create. You are able to create icons yourself if the program doesn't have one that you need. **What do you dislike about Floor Plan Mapper?** When you delete a desk with an assigned employee, it removes the employee instead of keeping them in the system and unassigning them from the deleted desk. Adding new icons is relatively simple, but you have to mess with the sizing quite a bit, which can be frustrating. I wish that when you uploaded the PDF floor plans, the system could recognize rooms/room numbers; that would make things a lot easier for what I am doing. **What problems is Floor Plan Mapper solving and how is that benefiting you?** I have none that I've needed to report, so this doesn't apply to me. ### 2. We simply added an attribute to each user, conference room, or location that corresponds to a position on the floor plan. This enables simple browsing and searching within FPM, allowing us to quickly locate the area we’re looking for. Adding custom icons and features has been painless. Additionally, customer service has been tremendous, with quick response times and consistently valuable assistance. **What do you dislike about Floor Plan Mapper?** The list is not long. In our environment, we have multiple domains and needed to add an additional LDAP connection. This required making a few modifications to the PHP code and testing to ensure it worked correctly. Aside from that, everything within Floor Plan Mapper has been seamless. **What problems is Floor Plan Mapper solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have multiple buildings, each with multiple floors, which can make it difficult to locate employees’ offices or conference rooms. The search feature in Floor Plan Mapper has been invaluable in helping employees quickly find locations throughout our buildings. As an IT administrator, Floor Plan Mapper also allows us to easily update an employee’s desk location when they move offices or change departments. ### 3.
