## Flock Reviews
  ### 1. Flock is an intuitive tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Graphic Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 26, 2019

**What do you like best about Flock?**

It is easy to use, the configuration is simple, the navigation is intuitive, in general it is a versatile application to collaborate as a team. Flock allows us to manage tasks and projects as it provides tools such as chats or video calls that improve communication. It also increases productivity because it allows integrating tools such as Google Drive or social networks. It fits any work environment, and that's great.

**What do you dislike about Flock?**

I have no complaints, it is an application that increases our efficiency.

**Recommendations to others considering Flock:**

It is a workspace that greatly simplifies team collaboration because of its characteristics I think it could be the ideal tool for marketing and customer service teams.

**What problems is Flock solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Flock accelerates communication, makes the exchange of ideas to develop new projects and decision making more fluid. It's great, it increases our productivity.

  ### 2. Really loved using Flock with my team. Sharing stuffs is seamless and quite economical.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Utkarsh S. | Software Engineer, Computer Software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2019

**What do you like best about Flock?**

The web UI is really intutive. There are no jargons as such unlike other communication tools out there.

**What do you dislike about Flock?**

The Android and ios app can really improve.

**What problems is Flock solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sharing media and documents.
Creating groups and channels.
Tracking bugs and projects.

  ### 3. Wonderful & Productive Official Chat Client!

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** CA. Vipin K. | Information Systems Advisor, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 18, 2019

**What do you like best about Flock?**

It's great to use flock, we were all scattered on various chat clients such as hangout, skype, whatsapp and needed to opt for one which shall benefit all of us and bring everyone on board. Flock has been the super solution for bringing our team together. First of all neat & clean interface without ads is a great point which has pulled us.

**What do you dislike about Flock?**

Flock has been a great chat client, though the only thing which makes sometimes cumbersome is to navigate old history of messages, we can search for them in search box, but can't reach to those resulted messages in just one click. We have to scroll it back to the point to see the thing we are looking for. Hope that it shall be resolved quickly. Another thing which bothers is downloads! All file downloads must be automatic on just one click and must not open another browser window just for the need to download a file and every time giving the downloaded file to give a location to save.

**Recommendations to others considering Flock:**

Just bring the features of downloads at one location without opening browser & improve search result navigation.

**What problems is Flock solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have been using, team to-do lists, collaborative calendar integration with google, google drive, one-drive and what not! On top of all is the polling feature which allows full team to vote for a selected poll just on the flock, no need to reach to each team member to give their inputs. Just throw a poll where you need to.

  ### 4. Staying on Task through Effective Communication

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emily B. | Account Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 17, 2019

**What do you like best about Flock?**

I love the ease of communication that Flock has allowed to flourish among my team. We had several communication challenges to work on. Flock encourages less talking out loud which in turn has promoted a better working environment for the teams sharing small spaces. It has empowered employees to take initiative in solving problems with less scheduled meetings, It also gives employees the ability to answer in their own time, rather than causing an interruption to their work flow. They can respond after finishing the task at hand.

**What do you dislike about Flock?**

Flock has had a number of bugs that have come up over time. Sometimes the emoticons have disappeared from the message tray, sometimes the red notification number doesn't go away even after reading. Also, I would like an option for a message to stay as unread if possible. For example, I've had coworkers message me once then message me several hours later - when I opened their conversation I only happened to notice the second message because the first one blended in with the above ongoing conversation. Similar to when someone sends two emails in a row, sometimes the first email goes unseen.

**Recommendations to others considering Flock:**

Of course I always recommend doing all your research for any product you might use to ensure it is the correct fit. If Flock is the right fit, then make sure you get your team on board to understand the benefits and use of the software. There is a lot of opportunity that could go wasted if it is not made known.

**What problems is Flock solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Absolutely communication issues as well as allowing employees to focus on the current task by reaching out to resolve problems/questions when they have them. ON the other side of this, users can respond in their own time which allows work flow.

  ### 5. Flawless

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ankit v. | data engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2019

**What do you like best about Flock?**

1. user interface
2. poll - it contains expiry date and the representation is graphical
3. attached has best features - you can attach the things easily
4. many other application/modules can be linked (Tracking of automated scripts and functions are very easily tracked)
5. workspace
6. message can be deleted
7. note is one of the great feature.
8. Image of the person can be seen
9. contact details are available on flock
10. we have an option of pinned chat
11. we can create our own workspace
12. Adding people to group is easy
13. there is also a privacy system to control adding of people to the group (private and public groups can be created)

**What do you dislike about Flock?**

Message can be deleted, this is good feature but it should hold some time limits, after certain time message should not be deleted. As we need the track of messages done by persons or the message should be deleted of the person who is deleting , not for the other person.

**Recommendations to others considering Flock:**

They should improve there quality and looks.

**What problems is Flock solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have some automated script, those tracking we do on flock.
We share the pdf, images and docx files easily over the flock rather using the gmail account for this.
We also share code modules over flock.
Note is greatest feature - it is like a document files.
Scheduling the meeting
making channels for knowledge sharing is possible.
It has a notification feature.

  ### 6. Good but a lot of bugs

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Swapnil V. | Marketing Executive, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2019

**What do you like best about Flock?**

Unlike Whatsapp, it stores the messages for a longer duration is a good thing. Moreover, this could be the only good thing about this platform.

**What do you dislike about Flock?**

Messages update on web extension is poor rather horrible. Opening the chat screen shows older messages instead of new ones. Whenever I open a chat screen on the web extension, it shows old chat which are definitely not updated in real-time. Upon updating the link, the result is similar which is totally bad

In the Android application, messages are not updated in real-time and no notifications are triggered if removed from the background. Whatsapp, in this case, is highly effective. Why shouldn't a platform remain active in the background automatically if it is used for such important purposes.

**Recommendations to others considering Flock:**

Could be a good communication platform, once the mentioned issues are solved.

**What problems is Flock solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Simple communication can be done effectively. Rest I don't see flock as a good channel. For taking polls and other purposes, it could be a good platform, but cannot be said the same in terms of being an app. It hangs, doesn't update, and don't make me start talking about the Android application!

  ### 7. Good basic features, value for money

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christine Ingrid E. | Research Associate, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 14, 2019

**What do you like best about Flock?**

Appreciate the clean interface and that is has all the basic functions for a work messaging app, and done well. Notes, channels, video conferencing, all are simple to use and reliable. Also very good value for the price, one of the more affordable options; actually one of our main reasons for going with Flock.

**What do you dislike about Flock?**

Would just really appreciate more customization. Having more colors and reaction emojis really helps motivate me to work better. This would also help break the monotony and make some messages, channels, or people stand out more for easy reference.
Also, while generally easy to use, some features take more tinkering and getting used to to use well, such as navigating notes and finding channels.

**Recommendations to others considering Flock:**

Works very well, and has a very clean interface. Get used to the functions and make the most of each to streamline everything.

**What problems is Flock solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We do policy-oriented research. We appreciate the quick turnaround of communication with flock as well as good record keeping with the notes. Built in video call also less clunky than going to another site and then linking. Since we work remotely, such an app helps us stay connected despite the distance.

  ### 8. Best combination of slack and whatsApp

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Online Media | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2019

**What do you like best about Flock?**

It comes with multiple features - you can delete messages, check read receipts for any message on a group, control privacy of groups, sync with other apps etc. It is easily the best app you could have for internal conversations at any organisation.

**What do you dislike about Flock?**

Nothing as such, it's pretty perfect. They could make the UI a little more colourful, add themes may be.

**What problems is Flock solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smooth internal communication, easy sharing of files, controlling privacy of groups etc

  ### 9. Best Workplace Chat Service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Meg P. | Sales Manager, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 10, 2019

**What do you like best about Flock?**

Flock has more than just your general chat features - it allows you to DND easily, pin favorite channels and people, customize channels, and the best feature is when you add someone new, they can see the chats or channels history from before (especially pinned items) making it easy to catch up.

**What do you dislike about Flock?**

While flock does have a lot of great options, they do not allow for you to select specific gifs. This may seem like not a huge deal breaker (and its not) but it does make a transition from a software that does a little harder.

**Recommendations to others considering Flock:**

I would look at all the bells and whistles and "nice to haves". There are a lot of things Flock offers professionally that make it well worth the switch, but make sure to let the team(s) know what they might be missing on a more fun/casual basis.

**What problems is Flock solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We've, as a company, cut way down on both emails and email chains. This allows us to get the most pertinent information to the right people as fast as possible and without being lost in emails or having to scroll back through hard to follow email chains. We're also able to share pages and google doc files quickly and easily and pin them for future use, again, increasing our efficiency.

  ### 10. Essential tool for communication

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

This tool is best for communication.Flock allows users to configure external apps and integrations from the Flock App Store, and receive notifications and updates directly in Flock. That functionality make this tool far better .

**What do you dislike about Flock?**

There is no such bad quality. Every tool have some but if it provide suvh better experience then we can ignore the limitations.

**What problems is Flock solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have used this tool in my last firm for communication internal.

  ### 11. Ok app for communication

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Restaurants | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2019

**What do you like best about Flock?**

Easy to set up groups, admins, managers, hourly staff, etc. Simple app, free, used to communicate basically via text

**What do you dislike about Flock?**

**What problems is Flock solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easing communication, spread awareness

  ### 12. It is a great business collaboration tool.

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** May 30, 2019

**What do you like best about Flock?**

is an excellent tool to maintain internal communication with different work groups, thus achieving an effective collaboration in the development and management of projects

**What do you dislike about Flock?**

is a great tool, my main drawback is that it does not allow you to download the notes, things that limit your handling

**What problems is Flock solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I love this tool for all the dynamic and practical functions that allow you to manage and develop an effective collaboration between all members of the work team

  ### 13. Messaging system perfect

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eugene G. | Consulting Engagement Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 10, 2019

**What do you like best about Flock?**

I love Flock because I have a complete integration with different social networks which facilitates interaction and communication. A feature of this tool that I consider very important is the option to set up chats between different people who are doing a project.

**What do you dislike about Flock?**

Although the Flock is very complete it lacks functions such as adding voice conversations which would improve the interaction.

**Recommendations to others considering Flock:**

To improve the internal communication of any company, this tool would be a very important element.

**What problems is Flock solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Flock has been very helpful because it has improved the internal communication between the different departments of our company making communication much more fluid.

  ### 14. I recommend Flock as a company messaging system!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rachel B. | Director of Digital Marketing, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 11, 2019

**What do you like best about Flock?**

What I like most about the app is it's pretty solid in that doesn't crash or have technical issues ever. I also have the mobile app and have never experienced problems with it. The search option also makes it super easy to find old conversations and discussions (but isn't available in the free version I believe).

**What do you dislike about Flock?**

I wish there were more emoji options to reacting to messaging. There's only 5 now. You should be able to use whatever emoji you'd like!

**Recommendations to others considering Flock:**

The free version is nice to test it, but there are certain features you can't access unless you have a paying membership/account.

**What problems is Flock solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easier, more consistent communication across the company and for individual teams. The #1 benefit is minimizing the amount of mass emails you need to send and also less things you need to bother people about in person.

  ### 15. Flock

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospitality | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 27, 2019

**What do you like best about Flock?**

I like how well this tool enables file sharing and encourages engagement between staff.

**What do you dislike about Flock?**

A few of our users had the platform crash on them so I would like to see a solution on this soon.

**Recommendations to others considering Flock:**

Very easy to setup and implement. I recommend.

**What problems is Flock solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Enabling users to communicate within the business.

  ### 16. Good platform with annoying alert sounds

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ashish D. | Assistant Manager Marketing, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2019

**What do you like best about Flock?**

I think the various options that I get. Video calling option is like a moonshot. It was not expected as an offering. Group feature is also great!

**What do you dislike about Flock?**

ALERT SOUND! It is so annoying! I have muted half my channels. I know I can change the sound but how many people am I going to ask to do the same? You text on one group and there it is; that sound.

**Recommendations to others considering Flock:**

Just ask them to change the alert sound, rest it's a great platform. Provides video calling and additional features. Very much real-time and apt for business. I don't have a preference over any other platform but Flock didn't disappoint.

**What problems is Flock solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has increased the communication a lot. Not everything can be done over emails. For me personally, Flock app is great!

  ### 17. Flock Messenger is one of the best team communication app out there.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Banking | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2019

**What do you like best about Flock?**

It is a highly available system. It is available for an incredibly cheap per user amount. Increases productivity several folds.

**What do you dislike about Flock?**

The UI can be somewhat improved. The messaging sometimes just didn't work.

**Recommendations to others considering Flock:**

It is not a perfect system. But, it works better than most.

**What problems is Flock solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Internal team communication.

  ### 18. Good experience using flock at workplace

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gagandeep S. | Member Of Technical Staff, Computer Software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 21, 2019

**What do you like best about Flock?**

Easy shortcuts
Wide range of available integrations (from JIRA to NewRelic and Bugsnag)
Easy webhook integrations where there is not an available integration

**What do you dislike about Flock?**

Android app notifications can be improved. Eg. if there are 100 messages from 10 conversations, I don't want my phone to ring 100 times

**Recommendations to others considering Flock:**

The integrations available for this tool will surely make you choose this.

**What problems is Flock solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We basically use flock at workplace as a chatting tool and file sharing. Apart from this, we also have many integrations setup in flock groups which keep us updated with status of our application. No doubt, using a chat tool is much better than scrolling in those emails, which is one of the major benefits we've realized.

  ### 19. Get the flock out..

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Human Resources | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 17, 2019

**What do you like best about Flock?**

Realtime alterts and updates, easy to set up and use, good stuff

**What do you dislike about Flock?**

If you're working in a big team, the alerts for the mobile app can get overwhelming

**Recommendations to others considering Flock:**

If it's in your budget, get it! Better than google groups, better than slack, better than jabber

**What problems is Flock solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Team collaboration is great, easy to keep up with projects and people

  ### 20. Flock review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Banking | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 12, 2019

**What do you like best about Flock?**

Options for internal Communication is better than any other

**What do you dislike about Flock?**

Loading time and responsive time is delay sometimes

**What problems is Flock solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For now nothing

  ### 21. Pretty good and convenient

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 05, 2019

**What do you like best about Flock?**

There were different channels for different groups. Informal chats, different teams etc etc. All of that was amazing and I could even send stuff to myself for later use.

**What do you dislike about Flock?**

Nothing as such.. Maybe a better ui? Not much to my knowledge

**What problems is Flock solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I could even send code in a code template file for different languages to my colleagues.

  ### 22. Best Communication Platform Out There

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Meredith S. | Marketing Account Strategist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 10, 2019

**What do you like best about Flock?**

Flock is such a dream. I love the ability to create channels in addition to 1 on 1 chats. I'm also a huge fan of the reaction buttons. Flock is very easy to worth with and easy to integrate with other platforms.

**What do you dislike about Flock?**

There's truly not much about flock that I don't like. It gets the job done and is very user-friendly.

**Recommendations to others considering Flock:**

Try the free trial! Then you will be hooked

**What problems is Flock solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Flock is a wonderful tool to use in companies that have a lot of remote workers. It's so easy to get into contact with them and they still feel like they're in the office because of all the communication that goes on all day.

  ### 23. nice product

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in E-Learning | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 09, 2019

**What do you like best about Flock?**

same as slack, less prices, all development related features are already available here. We can configure any webhook and send our system error logs, alerts, system info, disk utilization etc. It increases the system reliability. Plus you can collaborate with your teammates too, you can create channels, discussion groups etc.
It has all the feature which a good team collaboration software should have. I would recommend everyone that use flock.

**What do you dislike about Flock?**

As such i don't dislike anything about it. Only just it has less integration than slack so for open source projects you have to install slack and join other teams there as adaption is less.

**Recommendations to others considering Flock:**

previous system was also good we were using slack but it's price was higher side so we thought of using other products, then after so much market research we came to flock because price was less than half compare to our previous system. So we are using this.
Yes everyone should consider using this.

**What problems is Flock solving and how is that benefiting you?**

software development, team collaboration, system alerts, software alerts, fun content sharing, code snippets sharing, asana integration etc.

  ### 24. Great chat program

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Monica S. | Drafter, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2019

**What do you like best about Flock?**

I love how it pops up on the screen and flashes on the bar when you get a new message and stays there until you read it and manually close it

**What do you dislike about Flock?**

I don't like that there's not an option to be able to access all of your messages without doing the pay version, and I don't like that the channels are hard to see notifications from if you aren't right at your desk

**Recommendations to others considering Flock:**

It's a great, free chat program

**What problems is Flock solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's easy to ask quick questions to fellow employees that they can answer when they are ready, instead of going over to bug them if they are busy

  ### 25. The ease of communication

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 17, 2019

**What do you like best about Flock?**

Flock offers a platform for communication that seems basic but has so many functionalities built into it. You can send documents, media, emojis, texts or share a to do list. For those who don't like to go through the painful experience of sending mails for official purposes, flock is the platform that helps the communication flow smoothly between the employees and employers.

**What do you dislike about Flock?**

Recently there's a limit added to the number of messages a free account can have and the old messages get deleted every time you get a new message. This means unintended loss of data for those who are using it

**What problems is Flock solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Every time I need to talk to my reporting head or team leader, I can point them on flock instead of having to go to their desk or can send files to them if needed very easily.

  ### 26. Good product for group

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 28, 2019

**What do you like best about Flock?**

This is a good group communication source if needing an alternative to slack.

**What do you dislike about Flock?**

Easy to use. Great design. Does what you need in easily accessible interface

**What problems is Flock solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Group communication.

  ### 27. Easy to use communication tool for chatting

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tim K. | Project Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 14, 2019

**What do you like best about Flock?**

Love the fact that it's very easy to create groups, to communicate within these groups. It is also very easy to share images and media and documents via Flock. The web application is very good, but I mainly use the desktop version and it's very stable.

**What do you dislike about Flock?**

The lack of integration with a web conference facility, the video conferencing is unusable and sometimes unstable. The user interface of the conference facility is not usable and does not live up to the standards of Zoom and the likes.

**What problems is Flock solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quick communications within teams. Difficult to measure the benefits, but it reduced my emails.

  ### 28. Flock is a great tool with lots of plus!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Margie A. | Computer and Telecommunications Specialist, Higher Education, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 26, 2017

**What do you like best about Flock?**

Flock is a great alternative to collaboration and team communication tools. The Google Drive sync is really great for tracking workflow, document versions and tasks. With Flock we can have group meetings, document sharing, project tracking and more. It's really easy to add users and have teams set up, the newsfeed is really great for keeping up to date with work network and the search feature allows to search for users on the network.

**What do you dislike about Flock?**

So far this tool packs everything we have needed for communications between teams and project tracking. Some features could be more user friendly, or more accessible from the user dashboard. Overall a really great tool.

**Recommendations to others considering Flock:**

Flock comes packing great features, great integration with Google and fast sign up process. User administration is really easy, creating groups, teams, and tracking workflow is a plus. Having the Drive integration allows to track changes to work documents and assigned tasks.

Keeping track of workflow and having a centralized communications channel, with integration to Google accounts and Drive documents.

**What do you like best about Flock?**

I like the simplicity of Flock especially the UI. The use of different features like polls and chat notes have been really helpful. It also responds a lot quicker than Slack.

**What do you dislike about Flock?**

Nothing much really. I guess one inconvenience is when I download a photo from Flock it will have to first redirect to a web url. It doesn't really bother me but it could make downloading files from chats faster.

**Recommendations to others considering Flock:**

It's easy to set-up and easy to understand.

**What problems is Flock solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Flock helped us keep track of our communication and categorize and communicate with different departments better.

I like the fact that it allows a more instant interface and also allows for team notes or announcements to be shared separately or even within the chat. You can reply directly within chat to messages to eliminate confusion if things are moving quickly. The ability to easily transition between computer and mobile streamlines things well.

**What do you dislike about Flock?**

The sound can be a bit much and I wish the volume of it could be turned down without turning down all volume on the computer.
