What I also liked was that the app makes it easy to integrate management tools. Meetings, files, and screen sharing just work! **What do you dislike about Flock?** It is not as easy to join a meeting. For that, you need to have granted access. Having to send share requests to my peers constantly is tedious and time-consuming. Also, I don't know if it was just my devices, but sometimes the app was lagging when I used Flock and other tools. **Recommendations to others considering Flock:** Consider the prices of the competition. Our teams have groups set up and could communicate more easily than through email. We have many offices that were able to chat with each other without bogging down their email. Also, a really good way to quickly reach someone if you were not in the same location. **What do you dislike about Flock?** Outside people constantly trying to join our teams, we get alerts a lot of people outside our organization wanting to join one of our groups or company and that seems concerning at times that it's searchable to outsiders. There is a also a lot of upkeep with turnover. Need to stay on top of adding and removing people. **Recommendations to others considering Flock:** Create a process for using groups and have some people to manage it to get it started. Make sure you have someone to really manage your users. **What problems is Flock solving and how is that benefiting you?** Having more communication, we were able to create forums and training tip groups where people can go into and post anytime with questions or success stories. We've been able to get training and company messages out a lot easier and faster with the use of chats and groups. Really like the call feature and video features. We have also had some fun with it and are able to post photos and announcements when someone has an anniversary or birthday, or any life event. It has brought the teams much closer and I think they enjoy getting to know one another more personally. We have about 200 employees in 6 states so it is not easy to unite every one. But this has been a benefit while working remotely. ### 18. Clannels for on going projects and teams, file sharing, audio and video calls and so on. **What do you dislike about Flock?** One oddity I noticed was that once a sender deletes a message, there is no trace of the deleted message. So someone could message you something and deleted without even a "message deleted" note. You would even want lag-free software, yes it does lag at some point in time but does the work, the Mobile APP, however, is far more responsive than the System based, the worse would be the web-based it crashes every time we load an attachment. It has the ability to reply to specific messages. One can also edit the message that's sent so it is easy to rectify your typos. This feature might not be unique to it's competitors but it can integrate 3rd-party apps like google-drive, Trello etc. Yu can use the tool in dark / bright mode. The app aloows you to change the notification tone in case you're someone who juggles multiple apps. **What do you dislike about Flock?** Not very wfh-friendly. If you haven't use the app for a while and it is only running in the background, it automatically resets your status to inactive, which is a bummer. It gives an impression that you've been away from the laptop, which might not be accurate. The download feature can be a bit more seamless as well. Right now, it directs me to another tab which is not a very good user experience for me. **What problems is Flock solving and how is that benefiting you?** The in-built to-do enables the apt to be our project manager. It helps me in my daily tasks, which is great! This list can also be shared with other members on the team so I can see this as one of the biggest advantages of the app. I like to send messages to myself when I want to make a quick note. This functionality is not available in tools like Teams. The drag-and-drop feature allows for easy file sharing. Even the mobile version is quite user-friendly. Also, if you're a developer or designer or someone who likes to use dark mode everywhere then Flock doesn't let you down. It has a good dark mode. It also allows to change the notifications tone and change priority for the notifications. **What do you dislike about Flock?** If the application is working in background (minimized) and you haven't opened it during the last one hour, it changes your status to inactive, which could give a wrong impression to your manager if you're working from home. It should show that you're online as long as the software is running in the background, just like Skype. Another thing that can be made better is how the documents are downloaded from the chat. If you click on 'download' for any document, you're redirected to the browser and that is where the file is downloaded. **What problems is Flock solving and how is that benefiting you?** It allows to send messages to yourself which is a really useful way to keep things handy. It also has a in-built to-do list which is again helpful in keeping a track of tasks to be done. The same list can be shared with colleagues if required. While we were quarantined and all working from home remotely, we were able to communicate with each other in shared groups and individual chats as well. **What do you dislike about Flock?** The only negative that I can currently think of when it comes to using Flock for our office is that there is only one allotted Admin for the app (at least for the free version). This can make things very difficult when a company such as our has more than just one owner. Having only one person that has the ability and responsibility to make announcements, and add / delete members of the chat can be a lot to manage. **Recommendations to others considering Flock:** Flock has been a Godsend for our company! Very user friendly and easy to learn for all members of the office. We love that we have the ability to share files, pictures, and 'to do' lists with each other. Emails just don't cut it when it comes to trying to obtain information immediately.
