## Float.com Reviews
 ### 1. Great Schedule Clarity with Minor Mobile Hiccups

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Archie B. | Junior UX Architect, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

I like that Float.com has a clean and clear schedule interface. It's helpful because, at a glance, I can see the blocks of work I have to do for the day. The initial setup of Float.com was also very easy.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

The information within the blocks is not super clear, which might be due to the setup at the agency. Also, on mobile, when I click on a work item in the schedule, sometimes there's no way to close the pop-up, and I have to refresh the page to return to the schedule view.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Float.com for checking my schedule and the work I have to do. It solves scheduling by providing a clean and clear schedule interface, where at a glance, I can see the blocks of work I have to do for the day.

 ### 2. Easy to Switch Between Projects and People on the Report Screen

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amanda B. | Senior Director of Technology, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

I like that I can move in and out of different projectes or people fairly quickly on the Report screen. I am a people manager as well as an individual contributor, so I have to balance views of multiple schedules and it is very easy for me to move around to get to what I need quickly.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

I do not understand the Schedule page at all. The team member that is the "owner" of Float is able to look at it and know exactly what is going on, but the screen is overwhelming and I cannot make sense of it. I also really struggle when logging time, if I accidently bump my mouse or move in an incorrect way, it will log all of the time for that day even though it is not accurate. I wish there was a way to undo that when it happens.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As an agency that works with billable time, it allows us to track time usage and do future capacity planning. Its really great to be able to have a tool that can do that and not rely on spreadsheets that get frequently ruined.

**Official Response from Alexandria Petigna:**

> Hi Amanda, thanks for the feedback. Glad Float is helping your agency move away from spreadsheets for capacity planning and time tracking.
- For the Schedule, I totally understand it can feel overwhelming when you're not the person who set it up. A small tip: try using filters to show just your own work, or just the team or projects you’re involved in. That can make it a lot easier to navigate. If you’re used to a calendar view, the Schedule works similarly, except that allocations can span multiple days. So a 4-hour allocation across 3 days means 4 hours per day, not 4 hours total. Our support team can walk you through your setup or send you a video if that’d help.
- On the time logging issue, that’s frustrating. Unless your team is using locked time entries, you can adjust or delete logged time to correct mistakes when you accidentally hit something you didn’t mean to.
Reach out to support (support@float.com) anytime 24/5 if you want help with your setup.

 ### 3. Intuitive Scheduling, Real-Time Profitability Insights, and Fantastic Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sabir Hussain M. | Assistant Quantity Surveyor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

I like Float for its intuitiveness and how easy it is to use. It’s implementation is smooth; it's straightforward to add my schedule in the time-blocking section and quickly get a clear, visual view of what I have on for the day. It’s also simple to check what everyone else is working on throughout the day. It integrates well with our profitability program, which lets us see in real time how profitable certain projects are compared to others. I use it every day along with the rest of my team, and if any issues come up, customer support is fantastic at making sure they’re resolved promptly.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

Float’s least helpful feature is probably that, once items are synced from my calendar, they can’t be moved around within the schedule. Sometimes I want to place a timed meeting between two other untimed tasks to block out that time, but I can’t reposition the meeting if it’s stuck at the bottom of the day. Aside from that limitation, Float has been fantastic for my everyday use.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Float.com helps us manage team availability, project workloads, and upcoming deadlines in a clear, reliable way. It takes the guesswork out of scheduling by giving us an accurate view of who’s available, who’s at capacity, and what work is coming up next. As a result, we can spot potential bottlenecks earlier, avoid overbooking, and plan ahead with much more confidence. Overall, it leads to a smoother workflow and a better use of our team’s time.

 ### 4. A Tool for Managing Resources Efficiently

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nihar S. | Client Coordinator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 13, 2024

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

I’ve been using Float for a couple of months since we switched from Timely, and it’s been a noticeable upgrade. The user experience feels intuitive, so it’s easy to navigate and manage time efficiently. One of my favorite features is being able to schedule time and view the entire team’s timesheets in one place. That setup makes tracking simpler and gives better visibility into team workloads, which helps us stay organized and keep on top of our tasks. There is a bit of a learning curve at the beginning, but once you get the hang of it, Float becomes a very effective tool for resource management.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

While Float is a great tool overall, there are a few areas I find challenging. To start, the initial setup and learning how to use all the features can feel a bit overwhelming, especially if you’re new to this type of software, and it definitely takes some time to get comfortable with everything. In addition, the platform can sometimes feel a little slow when loading or updating, which is frustrating when you’re trying to move quickly. Lastly, I wish the reporting options were more detailed, since that would make it easier to generate more specific insights around time tracking and overall project progress.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Resource Allocation and Planning: Float provides a clear view of team availability, making it easier to distribute work effectively. This helps ensure no one is overloaded and that resources are used efficiently.

Time Tracking: Float simplifies tracking time across different projects and tasks. It helps maintain accurate work-hour records, which is important for billing, payroll, and overall project management.

Project Management: By combining time tracking with project management, Float supports keeping projects on schedule and within budget. It lets users set deadlines, monitor progress, and manage timelines more smoothly.

Visibility and Reporting: Float generates detailed reports that show how time and resources are being used. This makes it easier to make informed decisions and identify areas for improvement.

Efficient Time Tracking: Float makes logging work hours straightforward, reducing errors and helping ensure my timesheets stay up to date. As a result, I can manage my tasks better and meet deadlines more consistently.

Better Project Management: With Float, I can track project progress and handle deadlines without friction. It keeps me organized and focused, which helps me complete projects on time and within budget.

Improved Resource Management: Float shows how my team’s time is being allocated, so I can make better decisions about who should work on what and avoid overloading team members.

Detailed Reporting: Float’s reporting tools provide useful insights into how we use time and resources, helping us spot opportunities to improve productivity and efficiency.

 ### 5. User-Friendly and Efficient Task Management with Float

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kawtar A. | CAD & GRAPHIC DESIGNER, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

What I appreciate most about Float is its user-friendly interface and accessibility. It provides a clear and efficient way to understand assigned tasks, and the use of color coding makes it easy to distinguish and organize different tasks effectively.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

One aspect I find less favorable about Float is that it can sometimes feel limited in customization options, especially when managing complex schedules or projects.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Float helps solve the problem of managing and organizing workloads efficiently. It provides a clear overview of team schedules, task assignments, and project timelines, which reduces confusion and overlapping responsibilities. This benefits me by improving time management, enhancing collaboration, and ensuring that tasks are completed in an organized and timely manner.

 ### 6. Smooth, Easy-to-Use UI That Makes Projects a Breeze

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Biotechnology | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

We needed a scheduling software desperately and float was extremely easy to setup and onboard with everyone in the team. The UI is very easy to use and visually everything is very smooth. It also offers great insights as to how much time you spend on certain tasks, highlighting which areas need to be streamlined. We use float every day, week in week out so it's very useful to us.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

Not as much a dislike but it would be great to have further depth to information you can associate with each project so we can use float for other purposes other than scheduling too.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a scheduling software to streamline our planning process and float was perfect for the job. We also needed to highlight which areas of the company required change to become more efficient and it has helped a lot with that.

 ### 7. Effortless Scheduling and Team Coordination with Float

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

What I like most about Float is how easy it is to use and how clearly it shows everyone’s schedule. It makes project planning straightforward because I can quickly check who’s available and what tasks are coming up. I also appreciate that we can update and track leave, so we always know who’s on holiday or taking time off. On top of that, it integrates well with other tools and keeps everything organized in one place, which helps the team stay aligned and makes collaboration smoother.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

I don’t really dislike anything in particular about Float. It’s straightforward to use and does what I need it to do. Every now and then there are small things that could be improved, but overall it works well and keeps planning and scheduling simple.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Float helps me see everyone’s schedule and plan work easily. It shows who is available, who is on leave, and what tasks are coming up. This saves time, keeps the team organized, and makes planning projects smoother.

 ### 8. Effortless Scheduling and Team Coordination Made Simple

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** RASHAB K. | Research Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

It's simple to schedule and block out the day, and it's also easy to keep track of everyone's schedules and see what has been completed. We can plan out a week's worth of work, and everything is straightforward to understand.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

I find the search functionality on the app quite frustrating. When I need to quickly look up a specific past issue and see who it was assigned to, there really isn’t an easy way to do it. The app also isn’t very beginner friendly. New users tend to have a lot of questions before they start feeling comfortable using it.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We mainly use Float as a resource management and work management tool. It allows us to monitor completed tasks, track what is still pending, and see which resources remain available for allocation. This makes scheduling our resources much easier. While the time tracking feature is useful, it isn't essential for us since we rely on other software for that purpose.

 ### 9. Intuitive Resource Planning That Keeps Teams Aligned

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sahil P. | AI Automation Executive, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

Float.com provides an intuitive and visual way to manage team capacity and resource planning. The timeline-based interface makes it easy to see availability, prevent over-allocation, and plan projects efficiently. It helps teams stay aligned and improves overall utilization without unnecessary complexity.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

While Float.com is excellent for resource planning, it can feel limited for teams looking for advanced project management or detailed task-level tracking. Some reporting and customization options could also be more flexible for complex use cases.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Float.com helps solve resource allocation and capacity planning challenges by providing clear visibility into team availability and workloads. It reduces scheduling conflicts, prevents burnout, and allows better planning across projects, leading to improved productivity and more predictable delivery timelines.

 ### 10. Clear Team Schedule Visibility Makes Planning Easy

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Subhajit B. | Software Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

It’s easy to visualize my colleagues’ schedules. As a team lead, being able to quickly see their daily or weekly availability clearly makes my job much easier.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

There’s a lack of automation. I want to email my teammates to ask them to update and fill in their float schedules, but it would be much more helpful if an automated feature could handle this for me.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Float.com makes planning and scheduling projects much easier for me. What we previously tracked in a spreadsheet can now be managed easily in Float, and developers can update their own schedules themselves. We just need to verify.

 ### 11. Lightweight and Easy to Use, but Team Setup Takes Time

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Davide C. | Security Network Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

This tool is lightweight and easy to learn, making it simple to use on a daily basis. I have relied on it for nearly three years in my work, and it helps me quickly assign time for myself and my team across various projects. It also gives me a clear overview of which tasks are currently being worked on, allowing me to stay organized and efficient. The Outlook Calendar integration is excellent and can be set up with minimal effort!

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

Getting everything set up for the entire team can be a bit time-consuming.
Admins need to stay on top of new additions/updates or users risk falling behind with logging and/or reporting

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Float is helping my team report on the time invested in each project as well as scheduling work. I am able to autonomously create tasks in the projects that are assigned to me and thus can keep track of the different phases. The log time functionality helps me understand in retrospect how much effort was invested during each task. Also, the Outlook integration helps in seeing which of my coworkers - that are assigned to the same project as me - may be available in the coming days based on their schedule

 ### 12. Great resourcing dashboard - easy to set up and maintain

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steve H. | Head of Hybrid Cloud, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 28, 2023

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

It is fast and simple to set up and then edit projects.
The ability quickly set up recurring events saves a lot of time.
Our general user experience is good, as they each have an ability to view resourcing through different lenses which is impactful.
As a leadership team we have very good visibility across shared resource pools.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

There are no major flaws.
For what it costs, the limitations are quite easy to work around.
Forgetting to quit the 'Delete' button has caused some issues when editing in a hurry, but Ctrl+Z fixes almost all of these.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have multiple resources working across multiple customers and work streams, so need to have an easy reference guide to minimise potential for error.
It gives our leadership team a clear view of individual workloads, and potential resource contention, so that we can take prompt action with a frequently changing customer demand.
It helps our Head of Finance to predict revenue streams from services work.

 ### 13. Float - A Great Tool for Managing Team Resources

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hiren M. | Technical Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

Float is a great resource management tool that makes scheduling and planning easy. The interface is simple and easy to use, even for beginners. I love how you can quickly see your team’s availability and avoid scheduling conflicts. The ability to assign tasks based on your team's workload helps keep things organized and on track.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

Float can feel a bit complicated for smaller teams or simpler projects. The price is a little high, especially if you only need basic features. Some customization options for reports could be better, and the platform can sometimes slow down during busy periods. Also multi currency option is missing. Also it should support third party integrations and there should be APIs to directly access data.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of the biggest challenges in resource management is keeping track of everyone's availability. Float solves this problem by allowing you to easily view the schedules of all team members in one place. This helps you avoid overlapping tasks and ensures that no one is double-booked, making your workflow more efficient. Float makes this process easier by letting you plan and assign tasks based on your team’s real-time availability. This ensures that work is evenly distributed, preventing burnout and improving productivity.

 ### 14. Robust Project Planning with Float, Excellent for Mid-Sized Companies

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arpan D. | Brand Protection Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 19, 2024

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

I find Float to be an excellent tool for project management and task tracking within my organization. It significantly enhances our efficiency by allowing us to easily add and log multiple tasks and manage our schedules transparently across all levels, from analysts to CEOs. The visibility it provides to higher management and colleagues about daily tasks and time utilizations is invaluable. Float also excels in generating reports, which makes tracking team activities and projects straightforward. I appreciate Float's capability to automate scheduling tasks, which alleviates the need to perform these tasks manually, saving us a significant amount of time. The software's high level of customization makes it preferable over others we've used, such as Timely, ensuring our reporting and planning processes are both comprehensive and clear. Float's ability to reduce time spent on tasks by over 50% due to its automation features is another huge benefit. Furthermore, even though we don’t integrate external systems with Float, its wide range of built-in features is more than adequate to meet our needs, making it a self-sufficient tool. The software's robust project planning and reporting functionalities are key reasons why I would choose Float again. Overall, Float has proven to be a superior solution for our needs, and I would confidently recommend it to both large and midsize organizations, rating it a perfect 10 for its effective task management capabilities and beneficial features.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

I found some initial setup issues with Float, such as lagging, since it is a web-based platform rather than an application. This led to a slow response when logging time for specific tasks, sometimes causing the page to become unresponsive for up to ten to fifteen minutes. Additionally, I would appreciate more customization in reporting, as currently, Float restricts reports to daily, weekly, and monthly time frames. It would be beneficial to pull reports for entire years or multiple years to better identify workflow gaps. Integration with tools like Microsoft Power BI or Metabase for dashboard creation would also enhance its functionality.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Float for project planning and reporting, streamlining daily task tracking and management visibility. It automates scheduling, reducing manual repetitive tasks, and boosts team efficiency, significantly cutting time spent on research and analysis.

 ### 15. Float Makes Planning Easy, But Project Access Could Be Smoother

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amy G. | Lead Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

Float has revolutionised the way we work in terms of forward planning and capacity planning. It's been great. We can see ahead and pivot if needs be. It was really easy to set up and use, the whole team are using it.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

I wish there was a way to request access to a project if you're not already added to it rather than having to message that team member separately. Having that little feature would save time.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Float solved our forward planning issues. Previously we used Monday and it was difficult to see what projects were coming up and move them if needs be. Float gives us a view of the days/weeks/months ahead and allows us to plan time in effectively. Each Monday we sit down and look at the week ahead and it's so simple to move things around. I especially love the fact that we can assign a budget to a project/task and monitor that as the work progresses.

 ### 16. Float - From a Daily User's Perspective

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** William P. | Accounting Technician, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

We use float on a daily basis at work to create a daily agenda for each member of the team. It is very handy having pre-set different job types that can all be colour coded. I also like the notes section being hidden until you click in so that it is presented neatly. I also like that you can create a custom schedule dashboard that i can filter with certain peoples calendar's so that it isn't cluttered

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

It don't like the layout when you are working over your hours for that day. I understand that it is done like that to show that you are working over your time but it doesn't look nice and promotes cramming jobs in even though they might take longer

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It gives us a centralised hub to create agendas that we are all familiar with at work, where different members of the team can add things to your calendar quickly and easily. It is also very good for seeing a large volume of different people's agendas while still being able to filter it to make it easy on the eye.

 ### 17. Excellent for Team Planning, But Mobile and Load Times Need Improvement

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vedshri M. | Research Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

The best thing about float is it's log time, schedule, project plan visuals and it makes easy to schedule task on it. Seriously, for day to day management it's an best software/app. It helps me avoid team burnout and the utilization reports make tracking billable time and planning future tasks way less painful. Float just takes the stress out of figuring out who's working on what or what schedule i have for future.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

Float offers a good interface on the web, but its mobile experience feels too limited for handling detailed management tasks. Additionally, the loading times on the web version can be frustrating, as it sometimes takes ages for Float to load.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It prevents the constant scrambling and guesswork involved in assigning work. It shows a real time, color coded view of utilization, allowing my manager to proactively rebalance workload. By accurately tracking and reporting on both billable and non-billable hours, it also helps my manager set more precise project prices.

 ### 18. Intuitive, Visual Project Management with Seamless Integrations

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Roberto P. | Principal Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

Float is clean, intuitive, and visually clear for managing projects and team capacity. The drag-and-drop scheduling makes it easy to see who’s doing what and when, and the integration with tools like Slack, Google Calendar, and Asana keeps everything connected. It’s great for quick planning and forecasting workloads without getting bogged down in heavy project-management detail.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

The reporting and analytics could be more robust, it’s hard to drill down into project profitability or time-tracking insights beyond surface-level data. Permissions and user roles can feel limited for larger teams, and the mobile experience is less smooth than the desktop version. Sometimes updates or edits take a few clicks more than expected, which slows things down when managing multiple projects.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Many project-based firms struggle to know at any given moment: who is free?, who is over-booked?, what’s upcoming leave or part-time availability? Float gives a live view of availability, including time off, working hours, and leaves, so you avoid double-booking or unexpected overload.

 ### 19. Manageable and portative

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jonas S. | Service planenr, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 09, 2024

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

We've been using Float for our team planning and scheduling needs, and it's been a great fit.
One of the standout features is how easy it is to access the app on the go.
The mobile integration is smooth and reliable, making it simple to check schedules, make updates, or review plans directly from a phone, no hassle.
Float offers just the right amount of features for our needs.
It’s not overloaded with unnecessary complexity, which makes onboarding and daily use straightforward for everyone on the team.
The interface is clean, intuitive, and helps us stay organized without getting in the way.
Overall,

Float has streamlined our planning process and made team coordination much easier. Highly recommended for teams looking for a lightweight yet powerful scheduling tool.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

one area where Float could improve is in handling daily processes within larger projects.
It would be helpful if it were easier to assign recurring or sequential tasks across multiple team members within a single project. Right now, that kind of planning takes a bit more manual effort than we’d like.
Overall, Float is a reliable and streamlined solution, but a few enhancements in project task management would make it even better.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Float, coordinating tasks across multiple people often meant juggling spreadsheets or scattered calendar invites. Float brings everything into one place, making it easy to see who’s doing what and when.
The ability to access Float on the go is a big win. Whether we're checking schedules during a commute or making quick updates from a phone, the mobile integration keeps us connected and responsive.

 ### 20. Float - A Reliable Tool for Streamlining Scheduling and Team Planning

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Niraj K. | QA, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

As a QA, I really like how Float gives me a clear picture of my workload and testing timelines. It is super easy to see on which project I am currently assigned to, and what projects I will be handling in the future. I also like that Float can be synced with Zoho People and if I apply a leave on Zoho, it automatically gets reflected in the Float.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

It can take some time to get accustomed to how everything is structured, especially if you are managing multiple projects with different timelines. It would also be good if Float can be integrated with some QA-specific tools like Jira, as it would make tracking QA tasks even smoother.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Float has helped our team plan the project and testing windows much more effectively. Before using it, we regularly had overlaps with the development sprints or delays because testing timelines and resources weren’t clear. Now, everyone knows when the testing is happening and how much capacity we have for it. It has made our release cycles more predictable and reduced a lot of last-minute resource scrambling.

 ### 21. Effortless Scheduling with Genius Precompiled Timetables

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luca C. | Senior Backend Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

I find it incredibly easy to keep track of my schedule with this software. In the past, other programs required me to enter a lot of information by hand, which was a lengthy and often error-prone process. The concept of having a precompiled schedule that just needs confirmation is brilliant. Now, I can use it daily without needing to set aside extra time just to log my activities.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

I am unable to submit requests directly from the log time, which is inconvenient. As a regular user, I feel the platform is designed more for administrators than for individual users. There is no personal dashboard, I can't sync the tool with my calendar, and I don't have access to any personal statistics.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My company uses it to track both the time scheduled and the time actually spent on each project. In the past, this process was complicated and often led to mistakes. However, with Float, getting a clear overview of all your team's upcoming and previous activities has become effortless.

 ### 22. Float Delivers Fast, Flexible Project Management for Teams of Any Size

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dennis v. | Scrum Master, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

Float is a very powerful tool that gives you real-time insight in projects, planning, time tracking and budgets. All in one single well working app. When using Float, you'll love how fast it is, no more waiting for your reports to load. It's very flexibel in the way you can set it up and use it so it will easily fit all your requirements from smaller to larger companies. And finally, nog only myself as a project manager / planner loves working with Float, it was very easy to get my team on board because of the way it fits their wants and needs too.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

There's not much to dislike about Float for me. It is a tool that truly helps me manage projects and deliver them in time.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Float fills the bridge between planned resources and actual logged time. Everyone one knows a planning is just a planning, in day to day operations thins vary or change. Float gives me all the information I need to act on in a timely maner and helps me and my team to grow and improve with truly use full insights.

 ### 23. Effortless Scheduling, But Needs Better Time Tracking and Reporting

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daryll P. | Support Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

What I like best about Float is how easy it makes planning and managing workloads. The interface is simple and intuitive, and I can quickly see who’s working on what, which really helps with scheduling and avoiding overlaps. It’s also great for keeping the whole team aligned without needing constant check-ins.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

What I dislike about Float is that while it’s great for scheduling, it can sometimes feel a bit limited when it comes to tracking actual time spent versus planned time. It would be even better if there were more flexible reporting options or deeper integrations to make reviewing workloads and forecasts easier.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Float helps solve the problem of managing team capacity and workload visibility. It makes it easy to see everyone’s availability, plan ahead, and adjust schedules quickly when priorities change. This has helped me and the team stay more organised, avoid overbooking, and make sure projects are properly resourced without needing long back-and-forth discussions.

 ### 24. Effortless Billable Hours Tracking, But Quickbooks Excels in Detailed Reporting

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steve M. | Customer Experience Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

Float makes tracking and reporting billable hours easy. Simple interface and functionality works as you'd expect it. Once we adopted it as our platform for assigned work it took no time at all to familiarize myself with how it works. I reference it daily and I am able to easily look ahead to know what I will be working on in the near future. It's also great for scheduling time off, vacations, and sick time- makes the process much easier as I can integrate this time myself rather than relying on additional admin work and process.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

Quickbooks works better for hour by hour tracking and detailed reporting of time. Oftentimes I am jumping back and forth from task to task even within the same 30 min chunk of time and the Quickbooks interface is still superior for this kind of hours tracking.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Float provides an easy to use/easy to understand interface for project based work. As a remote working company this is vital as organization and employee/task management is not as easy as popping into someone's office or cubical and communicating. This interface saves from mountains of emails or Teams messages as all important info lives in a centralized location and can easily be updated in real time.

 ### 25. Easy Time Logging and Helpful Reports, But Budget By Task and Other Tweaks Needed

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Olivia W. | Deliver Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

Time logging is easy, reports tab is helpful once you learn how to use it, the calendar integration is helpful (except when it goes rogue and sometimes duplicates entries), the help community on slack.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

Very little visibility/support to see budget by task (Budget by task doesn't roll up into phase in the report tab) and allocate accordingly (having to do maths/guesswork to put an allocation across several days that matches the budgeted time - would love to be able to select multiple days and put the total number, and then have it calculate how long that is for each day), having to manually schedule in a whole project when each project has very similar durations and lengths of time (would love a one-click "allocate" where it just shows up in sequence and by length in my schedule), the random "your schedule may be out of date" messages that lose my most recent attempted log. The "overtime" concept is also not super helpful for us- would much prefer it be able to report across a week or a month (and balance out with lower-logged days) rather than only add up the days where more than 7.5 hours have been worked.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Time tracking and project management, high level reporting of both.

 ### 26. Excellent Scheduling and Project Planning, But Some Drawbacks

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kelly R. | Producer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

What I appreciate most about Float is its scheduling and project planning features. I find it very straightforward to manage tasks among various employees and to set milestones, which makes organizing projects much easier. The implementation was super easy, in less than 3 days I was already using it with my team's tasks, and I have been using it every day, I can plan the schedule of the entire week and month, I can even add freelancers to the schedule.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

I am not satisfied that the financial report displays a graph for only one project, rather than providing information for multiple projects with their respective budgets.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Float has helped resolve the scheduling issues I faced when I was unsure how much time my team spent on each task. Now, assigning tasks to any team member is much simpler. I appreciate being able to set budgets, define rates, and monitor financial margins directly within the platform. When a schedule breaks down, I can plan in advance how long things will take, review milestones, and each team member is able to update their own time entries.

 ### 27. Super Easy to Use—A Breeze for Beginners

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christian L. | Art Director , Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

This tool is extremely easy to use and is perfect for keeping track of work in progress. It makes managing ongoing tasks much simpler and more organized.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

One issue I have is that you can't view the deadlines.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This is the best way for me to keep track of ongoing work, monitor my free time, and see which of my colleagues are available.

 ### 28. Clean, Intuitive UI and Fast Onboarding Make This a Standout Choice

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Peter H. | Executive Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

The user interface is clean and intuitive. The speed at which you can both get up and running and onboard new users is also great. Feels like the right features have been added in the right places. We use Float every day to manage the scheduling of circa 50 delivery consultants. We have it integrated with Slack too.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

None that I can think of. Always been impressed that it does what we need it to.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Float to manage the resource schedule for circa 50 innovation and design consultants. Historically we had used Excel spreadsheets but outgrew these and they always worked well until calculation formulas broke. The clean user interface and views within Float allow us to see, at a glance, a view of the different people and teams workloads. Also like how easy it is to manage and make updates to the schedules.

 ### 29. Brilliant piece of software for everyday scheduling

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Glenn K. | Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

Very easy to use and love the display and how clear it is to view your schdedule.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

I am yet to find something I do not like about float, it works perfectly for my needs

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Float helps us manage our projects and resources more efficiently by giving a clear overview of who’s doing what and when. It allows us to plan workloads, track progress across multiple jobs, and quickly identify any scheduling clashes or gaps in capacity.

This visibility has made it much easier to allocate teams, manage deadlines, and keep projects on track without overloading anyone. It’s also improved communication within the business — everyone can see what’s coming up and what needs priority — which has reduced confusion and last-minute changes.

Overall, Float has brought structure and clarity to our project planning and helped us run operations more smoothly.

 ### 30. User-Friendly Visual Calendar

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ashley H. | Marketing Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

visual calendar style for each day; usability and user friendly; schedule view

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

that I always forget to log my time (whoops!) or moreso, I feel overwhelmed doing it since i work across a few projects and procrastinate and then panic do it on tues/wed of the following week (to my PM's frustration)

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I work for an agency and am a marketing director. We have 36 team members and most are designers, developers, or PMs. I am the only one in my role (I act as more of an in-house marketing consultant/one-person agency) and I am one of the few staff that will work across multiple projects at a time, versus other staff who will be assigned FT to one project for a few weeks. Float allows me to be scheduled across projects and visualize my time, and adjust as necessary

 ### 31. Mokhoele's Review

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mokhoele M. | Audit Trainee, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

I love that I am able to allocate tasks using float and fill in my time sheet seamlessly. I also love that you can plan ahead and assess if there is too much pressure that is being exerted on a certain user and reallocate to other users with fewer tasks. I use it on a daily basis to create tasks and plan what i will be doing on a daily. I love the interface, it is user interactive and does not require a lot from a user like myself.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

I do not think there's anything i dislike about float honestly as it it has intelligence too.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Task allocation has been an issue I think, with management trying to understand what employees are doing, this has resolved that issue as now management can log-in and access the tasks allocated to users.

 ### 32. Effortless Workload Planning with Float

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Albane T. | Product Marketing Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

Float makes it really simple to plan and track my workload. I also use it as a to-do tool. Every Monday I plan my week using the allocation feature, so I know exactly what I’ll be working on. Working at an agency, it’s been a great way to stay organized across projects.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

I’m very happy with Float overall. The only small issue I’ve noticed is that some meetings sometimes appear twice, so I just remove the duplicates manually.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Float helps me manage my time and workload clearly. Before using it, it was hard to see how much I could actually take on each week. Now I can plan ahead, balance client projects, and avoid overbooking myself. It also makes it easy for my team to see what everyone is working on, which helps with coordination across projects.

 ### 33. Visual Clarity and Perfect Integration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

I like the clarity with which the various pieces of information are visually displayed. Having different colors for each project helps to understand the differences between one person and another and one slot and another. It is useful because it allows me to immediately recognize between one client and another and understand who is working with me on a specific project.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

nothing

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Float.com to keep track of projects and my vacations. It helps me have visible communication with the team and understand future commitments.

 ### 34. Clear Business Bandwidth Visualisation That Aligns Teams Fast

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jordan S. | Creative Resource Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

I find the visualisation of total business bandwidth really useful, especially when I’m working with different departments. It makes it much easier to understand overall capacity at a glance and align expectations across teams.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

I’d like the ability to store budget information that relates to the overall project rather than to an individual role. For example, travel budgets associated with the project.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In a fast-moving business, I find that Float helps keep us fluid and able to adapt.

 ### 35. Best time log and resource management tool ever.

we also connect float to attendance system so it's easily sync our leave in float as well, this is the best feature i like most

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

There is no such thing that i dislike about float right now, everything is good and not complex we can easily manage everything

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

before using tool we face issue in resource management which now solve with help of float and that one feature to integrate with our attendance system easily track leave of employee which help us more easily manage resource in project. we can also mage multiple project as well which is good feature.

 ### 36. Easy to Use and Organize, Minor Glitches Occasionally

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Taylor G. | Project Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

My favorite thing about FLOAT is the easy of use. It is easy to move around projects, color code them, and get reports from the data that I am using. I use it on a daily basis.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

There are small glitches that make it difficult to use something. For example, recently my FLOAT is causing me to reconnect & reload the page a lot. It is constantly having to reconnect. I also have it where when I refresh the data, my cursor turns to the delete mode automatically.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This tool allows me to clearly visualize the schedules of the colleagues I manage. The layout is intuitive, making it easy for me to search, add, and edit information as needed.

 ### 37. Intuitive, Visually Appealing, and Essential for Project Management

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Architecture & Planning | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

Float has become an essential tool in my daily workflow. Tracking hours and planning project tasks is incredibly intuitive, thanks to its clean and well-structured interface. The design is visually appealing without being distracting, making it easy to stay organised and focused. Overall, a very user-friendly platform that truly supports efficient project management

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

While Float is excellent for day-to-day planning, one aspect I find less convenient is the limited flexibility in custom reporting and time-tracking breakdowns. For more complex or multi-level project structures, it would be helpful to have deeper filtering options and more detailed analytics available directly within the interface

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Float helps streamline project and resource planning by centralising schedules and time tracking in one place. Instead of managing multiple spreadsheets or manually coordinating team availability, I can quickly assign tasks, monitor workloads, and adjust timelines when priorities shift. This reduces the risk of overbooking, improves transparency across projects, and ultimately saves valuable time in my weekly planning.

**Official Response from Alexandria Petigna:**

> Hi there, I’m glad to hear that Float is working well for you! I’ll note down your feedback on reporting. I can say that we’re exploring ways to further enhance our current reporting capabilities. If you’re interested, we would love to chat about your reporting needs and how we can get that star rating up. You can reach out at support@float.com.

 ### 38. Highly Useful for Tackling Resource Bottlenecks, But Room for UI Improvements

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cal F. | Associate Director

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

I find Float to be an exceptionally intuitive tool, particularly because its setup process was very simple, making it easy for not just me but also for others I trained. The straightforward nature helped ensure no major hurdles when starting out. I really appreciate how Float effectively addresses resource bottlenecks and simplifies planning for staffing on projects. It has become an integral part of our weekly meetings, acting as a central point for discussions regarding team time management. The feature that allows splitting time on the schedule is extremely useful, enabling us to manage project workloads on a daily basis rather than being constrained to weekly or monthly views. The logging feature is also great; it's very user-friendly, contrasting positively with other cumbersome timesheet systems we've experienced. One of my favorite things about Float is its overall design—it is aesthetically pleasing and designed with user experience in mind, showing a lot of thought and care from the development team. The customer service is outstanding; whenever I reached out for help, they were quick and keen to assist, demonstrating a strong support system even though we're not on the highest support tier. Their dedication makes a real difference. My positive experience with Float suggests that the company made a commendable decision in adopting this tool.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

I dislike that the email invitations sent to new users cannot be rescinded once dispatched, leading to situations where adjustments cannot be made promptly. The feature that allows time splitting on the schedule has occasional bugs, causing issues when attempting to fine-tune the exact time splits, which can be frustrating during active scheduling. Additionally, the view customization in the scheduled time view is limited, allowing changes only between days, weeks, and months without finer control such as vertical and horizontal zoom for better adaptability. The project report section lacks the instant intuitiveness found in other parts of the software, making it less user-friendly. It's not clear and requires additional time to understand, unlike the more straightforward log and schedule sections.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Float to solve resource bottlenecks and efficiently plan staffing on projects, significantly enhancing team collaboration through weekly meetings based on its scheduling tools.

 ### 39. Visually Intuitive Resource Management Tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ethan H.

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

I appreciate Float for its visually intuitive design, which makes it easy to manage and adjust hours and timeslots for resource management. The Timeline view is particularly useful, letting me effortlessly see and plan the hours available across different weeks, including special leaves. This feature helps me understand project demands and my weekly priorities at a glance. The ease with which I can visually assess and tweak scheduling makes it an excellent tool for large teams, facilitating better resource allocation and availability tracking. I love how Float helps protect my time, ensuring I can focus on my priorities while being aware of how my hours are distributed across projects. It is incredibly beneficial to see roles and responsibilities clearly in a cross-country team, highlighting who might be overextended or available for new assignments. This system's comprehensive view offers significant support in managing our team's workload effectively.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

I can't really think of anything in particular that I dislike about Float. One suggestion would be to add a feature allowing users to comment or react to changes directly on the project hours. This could facilitate discussions about a project's hours within the platform itself.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Float helps manage project hours and availability, letting me see who is overserviced or available to help, protecting my time and priorities. Its intuitive design makes adjusting schedules easy across our APAC team.

 ### 40. Intuitive UI and Easy Time Management, But Miss a Traditional Calendar View

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

I use float multiple times a day, and the UI is super intutive, love the flow and how easy it is to update and categorize/edit people's time.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

I actually wish you could view the calendar as a "normal" calendar view vs a Gantt chart sometimes because it can be hard to quickly pick up on what day of the week you're looking at, etc. (Maybe you CAN do this view and I just haven't figured it out yet!)

But a lot of times when we're scheduling things I find myself having to have float up on one screen and my apple calendar app up on another screen.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's a shared source of information for my team of 80+ people across a half dozen offices, as well as other teams at our agency. So it makes it quick for me to check in with what everyone is up to quickly when someone says they need someone. It also makes it easy to retroactively see what we worked on this month/year for annual reporting.

 ### 41. Intuitive Project Tracking, But Overwhelming Features and Customization Limits

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Graphic Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

The upsides to using Float is the ability to track projects, hours and budget for each job in an intuitive way that spans multiple offices and personnel. For the most part I find Float easy to use as it's quite intuitive for the basic functions. While having many settings and functions can be very helpful it can also feel very overwhelming.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

I sort of mentioned this in what I like best about float. There are so many functions that it can feel overwhelming. It feels like I'm underutilizing the functions as I don't have time to explore and I'm also not sure of what I don't know if that makes sense. For the parts that I use most frequently I wish there was a way to make things more customizable as I'm tracking hours or functions of a project. I've noticed that I have the most problems with moving timelines once their set and that's really frustrating. I'm also having difficulties navigating the reporting function but I imagine it's more because I haven't had time to explore that part. While I can see most of my projects are in the red I'd like a better sense of why? Are people entering hours accurately? And if so, how would I know?

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Float is great at tracking resources and hours.

 ### 42. Streamlined Resource Allocation with User-Friendly Interface

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jackson E.

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

I find Float incredibly user-friendly, with a very clear interface that simplifies project planning. The setup process was very straightforward, which made the transition to using Float smooth and efficient. I love how Float allows us to allocate staff resources effectively, providing us with a clear picture of what people should be working on and where they are needed. This capability enables us to decide on taking more projects with confidence, knowing we have the resources scheduled adequately. The drag-and-drop feature is extremely useful for moving projects around, making scheduling simple and intuitive. I also appreciate the color-coding system, which adds clarity and ease in tracking and managing resources. The platform is affordable and easy for anyone to pick up, fulfilling our essential planning needs very effectively.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

I never use the project timeline feature because it doesn't really suit my needs; it doesn't work very well for my purposes. There's sometimes a little too much inflow, and I don't use it to schedule out a project and tasks since I really just use it to allocate resources. A more focused view that allows monitoring of what large projects people are working on would be great, as my projects are usually long and I prefer to let project managers handle the specifics.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Float helps us allocate staff resources efficiently, allowing us to confidently say yes to more projects. It enhances project planning with a clear, user-friendly interface and straightforward setup, improving our resource management and project confidence.

 ### 43. Streamlined Task Management and Team Coordination

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brandon M. | Freelance Copywriter

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

I have been using Float for over a year now, and I find that it greatly simplifies my work process. The setup was straightforward, which I really appreciated, as it allowed me to quickly integrate it into my daily routine. What I love about Float is how it lets me keep track of upcoming tasks and deadlines, ensuring that I stay organized and ahead of my work schedule. It's particularly useful for project tracking and filling out timesheets, which are key components of my job. This efficiency means that everyone, from managers to the accounts team, is able to see when projects are due, keeping the whole team on the same page. This transparency has improved our workflow significantly. Additionally, using Float alongside other tools like Outlook and a notes app allows me to cross-reference information, but Float stands out in helping us maintain clear communication and schedule management.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

I would add notifications when a deadline is approaching.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Float helps me track upcoming tasks and deadlines, making it clearer for the team when projects are due, enhancing transparency and coordination. It's effective for project tracking and timesheet management.

 ### 44. Real-Time Scheduling Made Easy with Intuitive Features and Organization

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

I really appreciate being able to view all of my coworkers' schedules and monitor them in real time. The feature that lets you track whether an employee is working remotely, onsite with a client, or out of the office is especially useful. I also like that each scheduled item has a note section for adding details, and the tentative box makes it clear what each staff member is doing and when they will be away. It's helpful that you can look back at past schedules as well as forward to see upcoming events. I also find it convenient that you can move people around as needed, assign tasks to multiple people at once, and use color coding for clients or tasks to keep everything organized and easy to manage.
Float is easy to use for any company that has employees that they need to create schedules for. It has great implementation results and people can learn how to use it quickly. I use float multiple times a day, and I enjoy that there is both a webpage and an app on my phone to check my schedule in real time. Float is easy to set up and easy to integrate into any business.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

I honestly can't think of anything I would want to change about Float.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Float enables our business to monitor in real time where our staff are assigned, which client or project they are working on, how long they will be there, and what their travel time is. We can assign the same project to several staff members simultaneously, making integration and organization within the company much easier. Float addresses the challenges of not knowing which employee is working on a particular task, where they are located onsite at a client's office, and when they are expected to return to the office.

 ### 45. Effective Time Management, But Needs UI Improvements

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

I find Float incredibly useful for tracking time and ensuring that our agency delivers the contracted hours to each client without over or under-servicing. This capability helps us avoid providing free work while ensuring that all team members are used at the right capacity. Float has proven beneficial in scheduling and planning for the team's workload, allowing us to efficiently manage resources and ensure team member flexibility to jump across different projects as needed. The functionality that stands out the most is the ability to view everyone's schedule, schedule time off, and use toil, which is the most helpful part of the platform. Additionally, the integration with Google Sheets and Asana is advantageous, as it streamlines our operations. Furthermore, being able to track time, log hours, and seamlessly view schedules makes managing the team's workflow quite simple and effective. This functionality ultimately facilitates easy onboarding of the team to view schedules, enhancing our overall productivity.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

I find Float to be quite a complicated platform to use, especially when trying to view people's reports. The setup process was pretty complicated, and even tasks like viewing project hours reported by individual members seem convoluted. The backend feels quite complicated as well. Additionally, when viewing the reporting page, it often feels messy, with a lot of different sections that can be difficult to understand. Finally, the platform feels a bit bland and could benefit from more color to enhance the user interface, especially when it comes to the projects and reporting sections.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Float to track time against contracted hours, preventing overserving or underserving clients. It helps manage staff capacity, schedules, and logging, making it easy to view and allocate resources effectively.

 ### 46. Effortless Resource Management & Scheduling

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stefano D.

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

I really appreciate how Float contributes to better workflow management by allowing me to forecast in terms of project hours accurately. This predictability helps me know when resources are finishing up their current tasks, which is invaluable for scheduling ahead of time. I find the feature that enables switching projects from tentative to confirmed particularly useful, as it enhances the accuracy of project management and helps in better resource allocation. Additionally, Float's user-friendly setup made it easy for me to get started without any hassle, and the ease of ongoing management is a big reason I would choose to use it again. Its capability to assist in resource management ensures I can manage my projects efficiently, making it a tool I would rate highly for recommendations.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

I dislike that Float makes it difficult sometimes to see an entire year's schedule for a person. Currently, I can only view a couple of weeks at a time, which limits my ability to plan and oversee schedules comprehensively.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Float to solve resource management issues, allowing me to know when projects finish and schedule ahead, enhancing our forecasting capabilities and workflow efficiency.

 ### 47. Intuitive Resource Management with Room for Personalization

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mariam S. | Career Mentor

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

I find Float incredibly useful for resource management at my brand management agency. It allows us to efficiently monitor how work hours are allocated among team members, facilitating accountability and providing a clear view of the team's activities for the week. Float's intuitive platform is impressive, as it operates without requiring complex login procedures, making it easy to use right out of the box. The ability to see everyone's workload and make necessary adjustments helps ensure that our small team remains productive and that no one is over or underburdened. This is particularly beneficial considering we operate with varied budgets. The schedule feature is fantastic, offering transparency not only about my tasks but also about the entire team's commitments, which is crucial for our global operations. I appreciate the project planning feature, which offers a simple yet effective roadmap for our projects, enhancing our planning capabilities significantly. The recording tab that displays the billable versus non-billable time helps maintain clarity in our financial assessments, preventing oversight. Overall, the ease of use and the practical insights it provides are why I continue to appreciate Float.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

I think having more personalization would be really helpful. Our team setup does not currently allow each user to update their own schedule – instead, project managers manage this. It would be better if users had more ownership and personalization in updating their schedules.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Float to manage team resourcing, ensuring workload balance and improving accountability, which helps us optimize operations weekly.

I found Float to be excellent and an integral tool for my company over the last eight months. It is particularly easy to use and set up, which made the initial implementation smooth and hassle-free. I have had no issues with Float, which speaks volumes about its reliability. The software includes practical scheduling features that make it very easy to see what is planned ahead and adapt to changes that occur during the day. This flexibility in managing schedules is a major advantage, especially when handling multiple people’s timelines. The ability to visualize schedules and account for daily activities efficiently makes Float a critical tool in my daily workflow. Additionally, I appreciate its ability to enhance timekeeping and ensure accountability. ### 49. Streamlined Scheduling with User-Friendly Interface

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Iannick F.

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

I love Float’s user experience; it’s significantly better than the previous software we used, with functionalities that are highly relevant to the needs of our company. The transition to Float was smooth, aided by its colorful and simple user interface where many options are accessible with minimal clicks. I find the Schedule and Project Plan features incredibly helpful, as they visually display employee times with distinct colors and clear separations. This visual clarity helps project managers efficiently allocate resources and understand the relevance of Float swiftly just by examining the charts. The Log Time feature is personally beneficial, allowing me to track my time usage on a weekly basis with its user-friendly interface. The simplicity and ease of use, with functions at minimal click distance, make time logging a less tedious task. Float’s clarity, simplicity, and user-friendliness stand out as significant advantages that enhance our productivity. These features are particularly valuable as they make necessary tasks more visually appealing and straightforward, turning mundane tasks into a more engaging experience. For these reasons, I confidently rate Float a 10 when recommending it to colleagues or friends.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

I don't personally see how Float interacts with Slack or Sharepoint since their functions are so disparate.

 ### 50. Effective Time Tracking, Needs Easier Navigation

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matthew M.

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

I find Float incredibly valuable for tracking how much time is spent on individual projects, which helps in understanding the actual versus perceived time intensity of projects. This feature is particularly handy in business cases where it allows me to analyze the time efficiency before and after new software is introduced. I appreciate being able to check my own hours and the automatic updates and integration with Salesforce and BambooHR. This connectivity means that less manual effort is required, as setting up new opportunities in Salesforce can quickly reflect in Float. The data-rich nature of Float enables me to have detailed insights into how much time has been spent on every project by every individual, providing a comprehensive view that is essential in my industry.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

I find Float's navigation to be somewhat challenging, especially when it comes to comparing between projects and understanding if the data is pertaining to me or other team members. Additionally, the process of tagging projects for time tracking purposes was cumbersome and not user-friendly, which led me to abandon that feature.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Float to log and track hours, which reveals how much time projects require, optimizing resource allocation. Its automatic updates and integration with Salesforce save me time.
