**What do you like best about Flinks?**

We use frequently (every day), the IBV and attributes to evaluate each demand of our customers. 
It's easy, paperless and with the attributes, our team gets a quicker view! 
With the API connections, you can really benefit and the Flinks team is amazing for making the implementation and integration  with the DEVS! The customer support is effective, they respond quickly. We are also always advised with the dashboard (IBV)  and notification when a bank is ''down''.

**What do you dislike about Flinks?**

The downsize is not related only to Flinks :  when a bank gets an update on their system, it takes time to ''update'' on Flinks side and that makes problems to receive the IBV's as complete. We then have to wait for the update on Flinks side to be able to receive the IBV.

**What problems is Flinks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Flinks, we used to ask the customer to send us their documents by email or fax. 
With Flinks, no more risk of fraud, paperless, quicker and easier.

**What do you like best about Flinks?**

When you can get a successful login, the data is trustworthy.  I switched to Flinks for both of my companies, because the data from my previous provider was unreliable and not in the same order as the customers bank statement.  Flinks' data is reliable, and in the correct order - which is important for a Payday Loan Company.

**What do you dislike about Flinks?**

Unfortunately, as many others have mentioned, their technical difficulties are increasing as of late.  1) When we first signed up you could 'refresh' an account within 90 days - now it doesn't work ever.  This is unfortunate as being able to refresh an account without customers continually re-logging in was very useful.  (This might be new a regulatory restriction - but I don't know).  2) As mentioned by others, customers continually get errors when trying to log in with their correct credentials.  The report on our side 'might' work when it says error, but intermittantly.  3) We are getting more Canadian companies with unsupported FI's, and when ask to have them added we are always told NO.       

So far, the problems haven't been enough to make us look elsewhere, and again their data is reliable (big plus for Payday Loan company when trying to confirm payments actually cleared).   Their platform was much better a couple years ago.

If they can fix the technical glitches, add missing Financial institutions in a TIMELY fashion, and bring back the ability to actually Refresh an account then I would give them 9.

As a Payday Loan company I really like the ability to download the customers bank statement, confirm they're not borrowing from everybody else, and they aren't bouncing payments.  When it works, it works well.

**What do you like best about Flinks?**

Flinks has completely transformed my finance job. Its not just helpful, its my wingman in managing financial data simplifying the whole process. By seamlessly integrating with various banking systems it boosts our ability to access and analyze our customers financial details unexpectedly. The realtime precision of the information it offers is great empowering us to make best financial decisions and provide personalized services to our customers with unmatched confidence.

**What do you dislike about Flinks?**

The primary aspect about Flinks that should be increased is how we create our personal reports. I liken the procedure of putting up specific reports in Flinks to trying to navigate a labyrinth. It can be pretty complicated and confusing. As a ordinary person I regularly discover myself wishing for a easy and streamlined technique to tailor reports enabling us to faucet into Flinks full potential more effectively.

Flinks has certainly helped us with the important need to quickly and efficiently check client finances for loans. As person working in banking area, I can't say enough about how its fast checks help speed up approvals and lower fraud. It's no longer just about processing loans faster; it's about helping clients by shortening wait times and making things smoother. For sure, Flinks' dependable checks have changed our lending for the better by means of guaranteeing we are efficient and secure with every deal.

**What do you like best about Flinks?**

The greatest feature of Flinks that makes me like it better than its competitors is the way it fits comfortably in cloud operations. Flinks is known for its greatly flexible nature and goes well in different scenarios which I find to be an amazing feature of a cloud management professional. The response time of their platform is phenomenal, especially with dealing with customer bank accounts. The process through which Flinks facilitates the information flow between banking institutions and our systems is effective and secure.

**What do you dislike about Flinks?**

The only disadvantage I have noted is that there has been a little resistance from customers to avail their information through Flinks. This drawback appears to be an inbuilt feature of the product, and while Flinks is doing amazingly well, some slowing down of adoption tides can be observed which might pose a challenge for our enterprise.

Flinks addresses the high-level issue of data fusion and control within banks on our cloud system.

**What do you like best about Flinks?**

Flinks has been outstanding to me as a cloud operations professional. What I like most about it, though, is how flexible and responsive the platform is. It has played a big role in the solution of various integration problems more so with regard to integrating customer bank accounts. The tools offered by Flinks simply make it easy and efficient to access as well as manage bank account information. This type of feature has greatly facilitated our role in serving our clients.

**What do you dislike about Flinks?**

In contrast, certain features of Flinks may prove to be a little difficult. This creates problems because the credentials of user’s online banking session are retrieved through screen-scraping; still, financial institutions often change their interfaces. This may sometimes need extra assistances and modifications.

Flinks have been a game-changer for us in terms of problem-solving. It simplifies the implementation of banking information, which is essential in our industry.

**What do you like best about Flinks?**

The overall data analysis in Flinks Attributes is quite valuable. There is raw data down to individual transactions, global data like a list of accounts and balances, and aggregated and summed data.

Flinks Attributes has a lot of API packaging options so one can select from from choices in terms of the amount of data and analysis vs. costs.

The aggregated data is the most useful portion of the data, including Flink's grouping of income into various sources (such as salary income and various kinds of government income) and cash flow analysis.

**What do you dislike about Flinks?**

The biggest downside is that Flinks uses a screen-scraping approach using the user's online banking session credentials. This means it is quite challenging for them to support a given financial institution as each FI has different online banking interfaces, and these interfaces also change regularly and without notice.

The net result is that the list of supported FIs in Canada is decent but still limited. If the persons having their data analyzed by Flinks don't have accounts at the supported list of FIs, then none of their financial data can be retreived.

Flinks provides an easy-to-use set of tools. The interface makes it very easy to understand the data, so little time is spent deciphering the end customer's profile.

**What do you dislike about Flinks?**

Generally works well, but occasionally has calculation errors. There is still a need for a person to oversee what the software does, even if the job is straightforward.

We have been able to know in more detail the profile of each new client. It is easy and convenient, so it becomes easier to make financial decisions.
We also get to collect data from our customer base. This way, we were able to better understand the profile of our ideal client.

Easy to implement API with a lot of data available for any use case you can think of using financial data about someone. Their implementation/support team is great as they answer quickly.

**What do you dislike about Flinks?**

Their cost is a bit step with a mandatory 1 year contract at least which isn't great if you're a startup trying to prototype a proof of concept. Maybe a startup plan or pay as you go would suit this need better.

We need to validate account numbers and balances to reduce the number of errors our users enter.

The connectivity is not consistency stable. There always seem to be some issue or another with financial institutions' connections. You can never trust it completely.

**What problems is Flinks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We want to look at the transactional level and account level banking data of a customer. The main problem it is solving is providing us with the user's bank account number, institution number, and transit number, without the user having to go find that themselves.

The success rate recently for submission has been quite low, at the worst days less than 20% of the submissions made are actually processed. Most end up in error.

**What do you like best about Flinks?**

Flinks is a powerful tool for obtaining financial data, covering most Canadian financial institutes. The data we can get from Flinks is very comprehensive, giving us a clear picture of our financial status.

**What do you dislike about Flinks?**

While Flinks provides a valuable service, there are some technical issues that require attention. For example, linking a CIBC bank account took around five minutes, which can be frustrating for users. Additionally, we encountered "Unexpected error" messages when attempting to link Scotiabank accounts, and "Retry later" messages when linking to Neo Financial accounts. Moreover, if certain banks display promotion pages upon logging in to online banking, Flinks is unable to retrieve account information, which can be a limitation.

Furthermore, the technical support provided by Flinks is superficial, with a tendency to deflect or offer simple answers rather than addressing and troubleshooting issues. This approach can undermine confidence in their technical capabilities.

Overall, Flinks is a useful tool for accessing comprehensive financial data, but the technical issues and lack of thorough technical support can be frustrating for users.

Flinks provides us with a simple solution for connecting our clients' bank accounts to their e-wallet accounts. By leveraging Flinks, we are able to simplify the process of linking bank accounts and verifying account data, which saves time and effort for both our company and clients.

One of the primary issues that Flinks solves for us is the arduous and error-prone process of manually inputting bank account information. Flinks streamlines the process by allowing clients to link their bank accounts to our platform, enabling us to easily access their account information for future EFT top-ups and withdrawals to their e-wallet accounts.

I am really impressed with Flinks and appreciate their comprehensive coverage of Canadian financial institutions, including credit unions and smaller banks. It has been incredibly helpful for us at Billi to be able to access our customers' financial data quickly and securely.

In addition to their reliable data aggregation and financial insights solutions, the customer support from Flinks has been exceptional. Their team has always been responsive and helpful, which is essential when dealing with sensitive financial information.

Moreover, Flinks has been at the forefront of the Open Banking movement in Canada, which is a significant development in the financial industry. We are thrilled to be using a tool that is pushing the industry forward.

Overall, I have had a great experience using Flinks at Billi. However, one challenge we have faced is the disruption caused by some banks rolling out two-factor authentication (2FA) requirements. This can create a broken experience for users as they have to log in every time they use Billi to refresh their data.

While this issue is outside of Flinks' control, their customer support team has been responsive and helpful in navigating this challenge. Additionally, we have found that manually refreshing data or scheduling automatic refreshes at regular intervals can help reduce the inconvenience caused by 2FA requirements.

Flinks enables us to access our customers' financial information quickly and securely by connecting to a wide range of financial institutions. This allows Billi to display accurate and up-to-date financial histories to their customers, saving time and effort while reducing manual errors. Using Flinks, Billi is able to make better-informed decisions and provide more value to their customers by gaining valuable insights into their financial behaviour.

I like Flinks because they are flexible and responsive, they are ready to help solve problems quickly and make the integration process easy for customers, they help us easily integrate our products with bank accounts and provide a set of tools that make the integration process quick and easy for customers. Flinks also makes it easy to get bank account information including customer address, employer information, and all loans and payments in an easy to read way.

Like other aggregators, it relies heavily on screen scraping data from your online banking. So it's prone to errors or invalid data. Connections can be slow and unreliable; resulting in failed connections. Login credentials can't be re-used due to one-time passwords always being required.

Flinks has bit higher charges for their solutions. It would be good if there reduce the charges so many customers can use their services. Flink has a limited number of programming languages support for their APIs.

The support from the tech team which is always very quick to respond to any major issues or pass on the tech team if it's a smaller issue. Usually the solutions are found in a timely fashion.

The vastness of the attributes and the work of adding a good many new ones with Jo on the DS team. The up to date of the labelling of the different rows in the flinks.

**What do you dislike about Flinks?**

The fact that there isnt a proper sandbox for testing when our outsourced dev team wants to test an api call back or other situations. They always have to do their tests in prod environment which isnt efficient and I have to share my banking credentials for them to actually do the tests... Not cool but it's needed ot actually test...

The delay between when we do a getbanking details and also a getattributes. For X reason we always get the clients information really quickly but the attributes always seem to have a delay in them...

It depends on what the potential client is looking into. Flinks has a good product that will help you have quick access to your potential client's financial history to make a fast, precise, and decisive decision depending on the type of industry you are in.

Being in the lending industry and not basing our lending decisions on a credit score we definetly need to have quick access to a clients banking information so as to have our decision model to move forward. With flinks we can gather all the information in a timely manner which in turns makes the decision amking quick and in which case our clients can receive their funds in a quick and efficient manner...

Flinks has easy access to all banking info. It shows the address of the customer, their employer information, and all loans and payments. It breaks everything down into easy-to-read grafts and tabs!

I have come across no issues with Flinks; it has been a fantastic tool to utilize. The only thing I would change would be the errors staying on the main page when a customer does not fill out the information correctly.

Any time we have had a change to our business, Flinks has always brought partners to the table to solve with us.  It's become integral to what we do.

There is always some customer pushback in releasing this kind of information.  It's not necessarily a drawback of Flinks the company, but rather the nature of the product itself. It can't be all things to all people, but the tides are definitely moving toward the direction of widespread adoption.

We operate in an industry that relies on alternative credit scoring data. Moreover, we've found Flinks to be vitally important in helping cut out fraud and eliminating errors in translation when interacting with customers' bank accounts.

When trying to get started in business a lot of other service providers had complicated onboarding and flinks were so easy to deal with. 

Their support from the day we were onboarded was beyond expectations and their developpers even got involved into helping integration.

They have provided us tremendous support as we scaled from 0 to a few thousand api calls a month amd provided us flexibily that no other company was able to match.

**What do you dislike about Flinks?**

Honestly nothing so far, there is some personnel roll over but service has remained perfect troughout the changes.

Providing value to a segment in the credit sphere that is currently underserved by banks and that the only other options are very harsh on cashflow and expensive to deal with.

Because we had already established the Canadian instance, I was happy that the Flinks team already knew enough about our business to be able to create the hosted solution for our USA instance without needing to ask questions or go over the same information again. It was a quick setup exactly how we needed it to be with very little back and forth needed.

**What do you dislike about Flinks?**

The reliability of a successful connection can vary from institution to institution so it can be difficult to communicate with our end users why a connection hasn't worked or why they need to try again.

We are able to efficiently and securely vet our potential and existing customers to ensure we can provide them with the fastest service possible, while mitigating our own company's risk.

The team is responsive, and the account manager does his best to help resolve issues quickly. When it's working, the process is relatively seamless for users. If these issues were resolved, it would have been easy to integrate with.

**What do you dislike about Flinks?**

It doesn't support Wealthsimple Trade. Outstanding issues with integrations are still unresolved (i.e., with Questrade). Some UX is confusing and still shows 'Wealthica' branding. No information in the UX about Flink's security practices.

We use Flinks to integrate with Canadian brokerages to allow retail investors to manage their investments and share their portfolios with others.

The ability to get banking data directly from banks without the possibility of forged or photoshopped client supplied bank statements.  Not only does it provide a seamless process for our clients it is a great anti-fraud tool for us as well.

**What do you dislike about Flinks?**

The 90-day window that clients stay active in the platform is not long enough for some client use cases.  We would prefer a longer period before a file is not able to be refreshed.

We are solving loan underwriting document gathering with Flinks.  We benefit by getting banking data directly from the banks in a fraud-proof format.  In addition, we also benefit from a easy streamlined process for gathering this information.

We use Flinks Connect and it's been easy to get up and running quickly. Their API is also well documented so our development team can navigate feature implementation with minimal involvement from the Flinks team.

With any bank account aggregation service there can be outages due to underlying connections with the bank.
