**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jin R. | CNC Operator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Flickr?**

I am a sociable person and I like to talk about my hobbies but not everyone likes to talk about photos, best angles, best effects, etc, but in this group that flickr has integrated in its platform they talk about photos and nothing but photos and it is something that I really liked, I could show them my work, I could share photography techniques, tell them which cameras I recommend, etc, it's amazing.

**What do you dislike about Flickr?**

I have not been using it for a long time but I have to say that so far nothing has given me problems while I am doing anything within the platform.

**Recommendations to others considering Flickr:**

Flickr has a free plan quite acceptable and with the basic functionalities so that anyone curious can try it, you can download a certain amount of photos as well as upload a certain amount of photos.

**What problems is Flickr solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The knowledge that I have gained and continue to gain through the friends I made thanks to the platform has been magical, I can talk about photography until I get tired and I know that the other person who is reading me will not dislike it but on the contrary, she will talk until she gets tired too because everyone on the platform are people who are passionate about photography and do a good job and show it in their profiles too, flickr is certainly a place where you can start to take your first steps as a photographer and take advantage of its various features and features.

  ### 20. The space allocated for your photos in high quality is great.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abygail S. | Purchasing Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 05, 2022

**What do you like best about Flickr?**

Flickr has something I like and that is how it is perfectly designed so that everything is perfectly integrated in its modern and pleasant interface, even advertising does not bother at all and is limited in this platform so it adds positive points.

**What do you dislike about Flickr?**

They need to improve the way they post photos in groups as it is currently a bit tedious and time consuming which is not very good for professionals.

**Recommendations to others considering Flickr:**

Flickr offers a very attractive free plan which is enough to try their services and see what this great platform has to offer.

**What problems is Flickr solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Without a doubt flickr has helped me to give a fresh air to my photos, it has helped me to get better reach and more followers who like what I do and how I do it, of course it has also helped me to get great photos for the general projects I manage and that gives them a touch of quality and professionalism without equal.

  ### 21. Good for amateur photographers and for personal photos

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Reema D. | Owner/photographer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 04, 2022

**What do you like best about Flickr?**

I like that Flickr is a straighforward photo storage system. I've had both the pro and free version, and thought they were both very good especially for hobbyist photographers. There are groups available that can be helpful in terms of photography advice but also for getting your work out there. It's also a great tool if you want to find new photographers, and see new work. There is definitely more of a community aspect to Flickr versus other photo sharing sites. It's also very easy to use, and get started. You can create albums, galleries, etc. relatively quickly and easily.

**What do you dislike about Flickr?**

I am no longer a hobbyist (been a pro for six years), so I do find some features limiting. I also do not feel like I could use Flickr to share images with clients. I don't believe Flickr is the industry standard in photo sharing, so I would use a more professional program for that purpose. I don't really feel like they've done much to update their user experience either. It's honestly looked pretty much the same for the last ten years which doesn't really make them competitive when it comes to other similar softwares.

**Recommendations to others considering Flickr:**

If you are a hobbyist photographer, it's a great free option. I would recommend something like Dropbox, though, for longer-term use. If you're a professional looking for a seperate system to manage your personal images, it would be a good option too. Overall though, I don't see Flickr innovating or adding new features very often so keep that in mind if that is something that is important to you.

**What problems is Flickr solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main benefit of Flickr for me is storing personal images. I do like that there is no deactivation of accounts, so I have a fantastic catalog of photos to look back on. Some are nearly 15 years old. I do believe other programs or sites would have deleted or deactivated accounts. I also think the groups and community on Flickr is really helpful. Have a question about a camera issue? There's dozens of groups dedicated to helping other users troubleshoot any issues that may arise. There are also some fun challanges in groups. For example, a weekly challenge may be to photograph something in the wild. Those prompts are really helpful for flexing creative muscles, and forcing yourself to get out there and shoot.

  ### 22. Great image hosting, including free version which has minimal ads

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kayla-Anne L. | Student, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 02, 2022

**What do you like best about Flickr?**

Flickr is very reliable and well-known. It's easy for me to send my friends or models photo albums to look at and download, rather than email them a bunch of huge files. I like that on the free version, the ads are limited and don't get in the way at all.

**What do you dislike about Flickr?**

I had the premium version for a while and then couldn't afford it anymore. I would get many emails saying that they would delete some of my photos if I didn't pay. Luckily that hasn't happened, but I think storage expansion should be a one-time payment.

**What problems is Flickr solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm saving space on my computer and my friends' computers by sharing photos through Flickr rather than individual files. I can easily organize my photos and change sharing settings for specific albums and pictures.

  ### 23. Awesome website to display your photos to the world

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mir Ovais A. | IFS Functional Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 06, 2021

**What do you like best about Flickr?**

I have been a Flickr user for more than a decade now. I mostly use it to showcase my talent as a photographer. The best thing about Flickr is that it is easy to use and gives you enough size space to upload your photos.

**What do you dislike about Flickr?**

It isn't easy to upload photos in groups. We need to select images and then attach them to the groups, which is time-consuming.

**Recommendations to others considering Flickr:**

DO give it a try. Although there are many new websites and applications available to serve the purpose, it still has some sound community system to help you with your content.

**What problems is Flickr solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I showcase my photos to the world by using Flickr. People can view my photos, can comment on them. The more people like my content, the more followers I'll have.

  ### 24. Niche tool that does its job well

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 14, 2022

**What do you like best about Flickr?**

Flicker is a staple name for high quality images and photography. It has tapped into the "social media" aspect more which has extended its shelf life in these recent years.

**What do you dislike about Flickr?**

Clunky at times and the search engine functionality could be much more seamless. The tiered system also limits free users. It would also be helpful to increase the levels of available integrations.

**What problems is Flickr solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Finding high quality images and photographs, identifying talented individuals and following their work over time, and accessing material that can be used in media.

  ### 25. Flickr was one of my favorite photo cloud service

I can upload above 15 megapixel qualities photos and many more

  ### 27. Flickr Review

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Utilities | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 14, 2022

**What do you like best about Flickr?**

I like how easily you are able to upload pics and then share your link to others.

**What do you dislike about Flickr?**

I dislike how sometimes it can take a long time to upload pics from your phone.

**What problems is Flickr solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to hold all of my pics in this app and have all of the details of the individual photo.

  ### 28. Easy to use, difficult to search

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kimberly H. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 24, 2020

**What do you like best about Flickr?**

It is easy to create albums and upload photos to your account

**What do you dislike about Flickr?**

It is difficult to search for a specific image, particularly when you have thousands uploaded to your account

I believe it only supports jpeg, png, and gif files and there is a maximum image size that you can upload

**Recommendations to others considering Flickr:**

We still use Flickr due to the large number of images we store on the platform but have found better solutions to catalog our images since then: I recommend that you do your homework first to find a solution that meets all of your needs now, and in the future.

**What problems is Flickr solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Flickr is a cost effective way to store images and allow others access to visually learn more about you

  ### 29. Amazing and Uncanny in the good Way!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Niels T. | Pedicab Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 18, 2021

**What do you like best about Flickr?**

I was fortunate enough to use Flickr after Yahoo Pictures started charging money. Flickr gave me slideshows of my Best photos on my Trips in the Mediterrainan in the roaring 1990ies that I could show to partners

**What do you dislike about Flickr?**

Never had a problem with Flickr at all in my life

**Recommendations to others considering Flickr:**

Name everybody in photographs

  ### 31. The network of photographers who inspired me to take more creative commercial photographs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Julián P. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 07, 2019

**What do you like best about Flickr?**

If photographers get a picture they like, they upload it to Flickr. There I find varieties of styles and techniques that I use in other photo sessions, it also allows me to have a portfolio to show my abilities and compare my work over time, this has made me improve my capture techniques and methods.

**What do you dislike about Flickr?**

The only way that exists to buy a photograph is to contact the photographer, it would be easier if they established a price, a method to receive payments and a procedure to allow the use of the images commercially once the payment is made so that the Buyer be sure of what you buy.

**Recommendations to others considering Flickr:**

I have improved my photography techniques and styles since I use Flickr frequently, if they are photographers or digital artists do not hesitate to use it, it is an excellent option to meet new and very talented people.

**What problems is Flickr solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have learned a little more than what I learned in the university in a very short time seeing the techniques of other photographers, this, along with online courses helps me to get out of my comfort zone and try new techniques and types of photography, before only I was taking landscape photographs and portraits and now I am already taking commercial photography.

  ### 32. The platform where I find ideas for my gastronomic photo sessions

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sergio Gabriel J. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2019

**What do you like best about Flickr?**

From my point of view it is the best photographic social network in the world, not only focusing on photographs with high photographic quality but any quality and of any subject, I have found inspiration in photographs that do not have such good quality but good composition and elements , allows us to understand how the photograph was taken because it mentions the values and characteristics of the camera, this can help beginner photographers to understand how light works in photographs.

**What do you dislike about Flickr?**

It is an excellent platform, I consider it the best photographic network.

**Recommendations to others considering Flickr:**

If they are photographers or want to be they should use this platform, they can find inspiration or inspire others. Let's support this great community of photographers.

**What problems is Flickr solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Many times photographers need more ideas and inspiration from other photographers to make new creations, flickr is that, by connecting with photographers with different levels of experience and tastes one can capture their ideas and replicate them in their own original creations for my commercial photo shoots, also I have supported people who have just started buying their photographs and I have given feedback to encourage them to continue and improve.

  ### 33. The best way I found to connect with people with a passion for photography

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alvaro Rubén M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2019

**What do you like best about Flickr?**

My 2 great passions are graphic design and photography, Flickr gave me the opportunity to know the work of other photographers around the world with whom I have shared experiences and received advice directly, I can know what type of photographic equipment they occupy and what are the settings they use in each scenario.

**What do you dislike about Flickr?**

They should improve their security systems, I don't feel safe sharing my photographs knowing that they can download and use them, getting good pictures is expensive and I think they should pay for it.

**What problems is Flickr solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I studied graphic design and did not have a good photography training at university, Flickr allowed me to meet many people who are passionate photographers and who are willing to share ideas and advice to people who have just started in the world of photography, on Flickr There are many talented people who inspire me to continue learning.

  ### 34. Flickr a good photo store

Thanks to this social network I can store and share my photographs with friends and users, where you can make albums and collections of them and be able to catalog them as you want, placing names and tags for your best search on the web. There is the simple version and the Pro that you have to pay a subscription but you have the advantage of loading the photos at a better resolution and more weight.
With this platform, if used in a good way, it can be achieved until the photographs are marketed.

**What do you dislike about Flickr?**

A disadvantage is that if you use the free version you can only upload up to 1 GB of information and if you want them to be viewed at a higher resolution you must sign up for Flickr Pro that allows you to upload an unlimited amount of photographs.

**Recommendations to others considering Flickr:**

I recommend using this wonderful social network as it allows you to share photo albums and make collections of them. In addition to that you can label and describe the photos and so you can tell a story about it to make it more interesting and be able to expose the photographic work and sell the product if required.

**What problems is Flickr solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I currently use this platform to interact with my friends and users that I follow and follow me and there I share my photo albums. It also serves as a guide when I want to see collections from other users and share impressions of them.

  ### 35. It is a tool that can be used to enhance photography classes throughout the company.

**What do you like best about Flickr?**

What I like about this application is because it is fundamentally with its ability to manage images using tools that allow me to tag my photos, store, sort, search, sell and share videos online, I can also use it from any mobile device to share photos on The way and the best thing is that it has a simple configuration that allows me to share photos only with those I want.

**What do you dislike about Flickr?**

It has nothing to bother me, I can only say that it helps a lot to determine the people who can see my images.

**Recommendations to others considering Flickr:**

The Flickr system allows you to search for images by labels, by date and by Creative Commons licenses. Other features are the RSS and Atom channels and the API that allows independent developers to create services and applications linked to Flickr. The service is based on the usual features of HTML and HTTP, allowing it to be usable on multiple platforms and browsers.

**What problems is Flickr solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helped me a lot to improve my photographs so that my clients classify me as their best provider of instant photos and it has also allowed me to add the possibility of uploading high-definition videos and expanded the option to upload videos, upload upload photos from my desktop, send by email or use your mobile camera, organize and use collections sets and tags to organize my photos and videos, share where your photos and videos were taken and see photos and videos taken near you, do things: sexy cards, albums, framed prints, recalls at Target stores, DVDs, etc.

**What do you like best about Flickr?**

I like to place the photographs of all the projects done because there I can share with all the users the photographs I have taken and thus be able to promote my photography work. It's perfect because it allows me to organize photos by albums and labels, also allows you to create collections.
It has a paid version that allows you to upload more photos

**What do you dislike about Flickr?**

In the free version, when publishing the photographs they lose clarity, as it is a free program any person of your contacts can steal your photograph.

**Recommendations to others considering Flickr:**

I recommend using this social network to share with all contacts the photographic material of a photographer and if you have the paid version it allows you to store a large number of photographic images.

**What problems is Flickr solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am currently using Flickr to promote all the photographic material to share it with all my contacts and the benefit it provides is that it allows you to organize and label the photos by albums and collections.

  ### 37. Beautiful Pictures with a great search by toolbar.

**What do you like best about Flickr?**

I love that Flickr allows you to search for images by their overall main color. I have used it when I was searching for a professional desktop background. I wanted a purple background, so I clicked the purple search by tab. I was given hundreds of pictures that had my favorite color in them. If you search a name, image, or place, you can see many pictures of the subject that are exactly what you are looking for. Also, if you want to have a picture blog that the public can see, Flickr makes that possible. The resolution of every image is amazing. Comparing it to Facebook, where they often decrease the resolution so it can upload quickly to your page. Flickr is simple and a beautiful website. It allows users to look up images from either now or years ago with a click of a button. My absolute favorite quality of Flickr is the resolution of the images on the site. I have never seen a website that allows for such clear and high resolution images.

**What do you dislike about Flickr?**

The layout when searching for images is a little overwhelming. However, I don't believe there is a better layout for this type of image search.

**Recommendations to others considering Flickr:**

Easy to use for beginners!

**What problems is Flickr solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm solving the issue of finding beautiful, high quality images with a click of a button. I have realized that image searching on Flickr is easy and allows users to find pictures even by their overall color.

  ### 38. Great Source for Sharing and Finding Images

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shayna W. | Freelance Writer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2019

**What do you like best about Flickr?**

The best part of Flickr by far is the transparency when it comes to photo licensing. I have often used it to find images to complement my own blog posts and have recommended it to clients as well. It is comforting to know with certainty that you are featuring an image in compliance with its licensing and crediting the correct source properly.

**What do you dislike about Flickr?**

Sometimes I find it hard to find the kind of images I’m looking for, but creative searching usually turns up something that I can apply.

**Recommendations to others considering Flickr:**

Read the fine print if you are using images as stock photos. Be careful with attribution and credit properly. The photographers deserve their credit.

**What problems is Flickr solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Finding images that can be published with correct attribution in conjunction with online content. Also, image file sharing.

**What do you like best about Flickr?**

Before the advent there was Flickr, call me old school and being sentimental, thank you, i still prefer my good old Flickr, i still use Flickr and share fond memories on Flickr.

**What do you dislike about Flickr?**

Nothing really, just that it lacks the spunk of Instagram (Which i don't really mind!) besides that Flickr is still cool to use.

**What problems is Flickr solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Flickr allowed me to share fond memories with friends, family, business associates and so much more, before the likes of Instagram, Facebook etc gained traction, Flickr was doing great (Still doing great)

I'm a tech junkie. I like automation. It's great that it's possible to utilize IFTTT with Flickr.

I hate that Yahoo sold Flickr to a company that decided that they were going to delete thousands of photos from free accounts.

I like that with the gps feature on my camera this will geotag your photos on the map. There are many groups for whatever your interest and subject matter might be. I photograph landmarks, buildings, etc and get a lot of exposure and make a lot of connections on flickr through the groups. The UI is simple, clean and easy to understand. Uploads are a breeze and organizing photos into albums is easy too. This is easily the best photography website on the internet.

**What do you dislike about Flickr?**

Nothing. There is nothing that I dislike about flickr.

**Recommendations to others considering Flickr:**

if you have geotagging feature on your phone make sure you have it enabled to take advantage of flickrs feature. Join the groups and make connections!

**Reviewed by:** Dianna W. | Technology Teacher, School Technology Coordinator, Yearbook Advisor, STLP Co-Sponsor, Education Management, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2018

**What do you like best about Flickr?**

It is easy to store and share photos on Flickr. It is easy to find friends. Flickr can be used to share photos for Creative Commons Licensing. The amount of space on Flickr for the free account is 1 TB which is also a pro of Flickr. Flickr allows for great organization of your photos, too, which can come in handy. It is nice to be able to see what others have posted and shared which really adds to Flickr. You can also make a book from your photos with a partner company that it embedded into the site. There are a lot of options with Flickr including upgrading to a Pro Account which is what some are looking for.

**What do you dislike about Flickr?**

Not many of my friends use Flickr, and logging in to find friends gave me errors with facebook and Google.

**Recommendations to others considering Flickr:**

This can be used to create and share photos and albums. It has a lot of space, so this is a way to share a lot of photos. These photos can be made public to share with various Creative Commons Licensing. This can also show up in Google Images Search. This is a way to host photos that you want to share with others.

**What problems is Flickr solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This is a great way to share with others in business, but to also allow for photos to be made public to allow for Creative Commons Licensing to be shared with others-especially students-to discuss Creative Commons Licensing in relation to Copyright.

  ### 50. Great Storage and Viewing Website

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Industrial Automation | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2018

**What do you like best about Flickr?**

I love this website for the huge storage that you are allocated for free! I also like the sharing capabilities and being able to see so many other public photos. I have used it beyond my business needs to see many photos as updates for some of my favorite companies and destinations that I hope to visit one day!

**What do you dislike about Flickr?**

The only thing that I can think of that I dislike about this website is the fact that I have not found it to connect to much else of social media whereas Instagram is part of Facebook. I also do not know as many people that use it as use many other sites such as Dropbox and even Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and just emailing or sharing files with thumb drives.

**Recommendations to others considering Flickr:**

I would definitely recommend Flickr to anyone who needs photo storage and/or sharing opportunities! I have thoroughly enjoyed the use of this website over the last few years! I love being able to follow SpaceX and see their latest updates and preparations for their future launches. I am not sure why SpaceX uses the platform so strongly but I find it a lot more effective than scrolling through Twitter and Instagram to be able to find a large collection of their photos.

**What problems is Flickr solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to solve business problems with Flickr by sharing photos throughout projects and evaluations. I have realized the benefits of not worrying about flash drives or emails as much anymore as we are able to just share links and have extra storage while using Flickr,
