Fleet OS is an operations platform for independent vehicle rental companies running fleets of 20 to 80 vehicles - the operators too small for enterprise rental systems and too professional for spreadsheets. Built around the handover, not the spreadsheet. Most rental software treats vehicle handover as an afterthought. Fleet OS puts it at the center: digital handover and return protocols with photo documentation, mileage and fuel readings, and customer signature captured on mobile. Every damage claim is backed by timestamped evidence instead of a paper form in a folder. Compliance that isn't an add-on. Fleet OS is built for German regulatory reality: GoBD-compliant record keeping, DATEV export for your tax advisor, and ZUGFeRD / XRechnung e-invoicing as standard — not a plugin. As e-invoicing obligations expand, operators are covered without changing systems. What Fleet OS covers Fleet and vehicle management with availability, maintenance and document tracking Booking and dispatch calendar across locations Digital handover and return protocols with photo evidence Damage management from documentation through claim Invoicing with GoBD compliance, DATEV export and ZUGFeRD / XRechnung Fine and keeper-liability (Halterhaftung) processing Telematics integration for mileage, location and utilization data Optional: direct bookings on your own domain via uRent Studio, and listing on the uRent marketplace Why operators switch. Independent operators lose money in three places: damage they can't prove, vehicles sitting idle because availability lives in three systems, and administrative work that scales with every booking. Fleet OS is designed around those three, in that order. Fleet OS is developed in Germany by uRent, which also operates the largest independent rental marketplace in the DACH region.
