Go-to tool for deep dark-web related investigations and automated monitoring **Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2024 **What do you like best about Flashpoint?** The Ignite platform UI is easy to interact with and has a unique combination of built-in resources that help with navigation. The quick search easily narrows down what you are looking for and has options to filter across different communities/channels/types of media and authors. The keyword alerts are quite handy to track the latest threats emerging related to anything specific you are looking for. I instantly get alerted as soon as there is a new hit in the dark web communities about anything that I set alerts for. With quick integrations with Slack, all the alerts are sent right to my messaging, where I can review and action them quickly. **What do you dislike about Flashpoint?** Communication channels - We have no way to discuss RFI cases directly over a chat medium; it is email only. Other competitors support dedicated analysts for cases to discuss and ask questions **What problems is Flashpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?** Darkweb monitoring: Helps you find several information across platforms that we usually don't get access to even with using discreet browsers. Since the team has reputed accounts in these forums/platforms, any new data that's added there can be found using their ignite platform. Enterprise credentials: The new feature allows you to track any leaked credentials that are on sale across these darkweb platforms. They even support with purchasing them for us and send it to us. Which means no hassle or extra work to deal with threat actors or obtaining files from unknown users. Flashpoint verifies the file authenticity before sharing with us. Telegram active monitoring: The platform has access to several private channels and can alert us about any discussion about our keyword searches, domain mentioned etc. If any channel is not tracked, we can request them to be added to their search base. Threat intelligence: The easy automated keyword search help us get information on latest threats related to the industry. With additional intelligence about hot topics or any serious cyber threats, Flashpoint standouts in terms of providing latest information. FP Collab: Shares latest threat intel about on-going cyber incidents and any other active threats targeting the community. ### 2. This includes being able to reach out to our point of contact and request new locations for review that we may come across. **What do you dislike about Flashpoint?** Constant platform changes and a lack of documentation keeps breaking intergrations, causing disruptions to workflows. I also find that the RFIs aren't useful for our team. We tend to be able to do the deep dive ourselves and find more relevant information faster, which is disappointing considering the resources that FlashPoint has. **What problems is Flashpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?** It allows our team to develop alerts. These are helpful and especially beneficial when images are involved for fraud based cases. ### 3. Search results typically load faster than they did in FP tools. 2. Actor profiles are very helpful 3. RFI portal is helpful. **What do you dislike about Flashpoint?** 1. We have been involved with Beta testing for months and very key features in fp.tools that we have said we need to see in Ignite are not being integrated (most notably a quick look timeline for search results) 2. We are still getting inconsistencies in results across both platforms 3. Loading failures are still occuring 4. Ignite AI is not useful for the granulatity of research that our analysts do - a lot of the actors we focus on are not the very common ones covered in intelligence products. 5. We understand that Flashpoint is leaning more heavily on the malware and cyber threats focus, but it seems as though it's coming at the expense of the traditional dark web monitoring offierings. **What problems is Flashpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?** Access to closed sources and collation point for open and closed sources in relatively easy to use database ### 5. I'd like to see it create quick intel briefings on topics I ask for. **What problems is Flashpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use extensive keywords based on our organization's profile, business, products and Internet footprint to alert on. Flashpoint also helps to keep me informed on latest threat groups, malware, and TTPs. Having the ability to go to a single place and get answers fast is a huge help. ### 8.
