## FitNesse Reviews
  ### 1. FitNesse been wiki based, is actually very easy to use by all the stakeholders.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nishant S. | Software Developer In Test, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 30, 2020

**What do you like best about FitNesse?**

Wiki based approach to write down my test scenarios along with input / output / assertions. Its very intuitive and very similar to how one would write manual tests.

**What do you dislike about FitNesse?**

Editing of the wiki, specifically when you want to create a complex table of test data was a bit of pain. That part can be made better. Many times I ended up making some minor mistake in the syntax and found it a bit frustrating

**What problems is FitNesse solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Generally BDD sounds very fascinating and it was quite trending in testing and automation world couple of years back. So, our Managers/clients insisted to evaluate BDD tools. Along with fitnesse we also tried specflow. But, with specflow, the managers were not very much comfortable in writing down tests in gherkin language. So, then we explored FitNesse. Everyone liked it because it had a wiki page to document test cases. Managers and Client were already used to with wiki pages and they also found it quite good. So, we zeroed upon FitNesse.
Main benefit of FitNesse is, you need not be technically sound to write down tests, anyone can write it and view the results.
However, Automation QA's are involved in writing down the actual code for the steps written down by the Manual QA OR Manager.

There are some of the fields that it does not support like rich text editor field and placeholder field. Also to support the scripting of other web element fields , it required labelling of web elements
