We have ONE major issue with Fishbowl, and it seems to be an issue that will only affect companies like mine, who very often take prepayments, and those orders with prepayments remain open for 6-9 months due to lead times. Fishbowl does NOT send over invoices until the order has been fulfilled and shipped. The issue is that the payment goes over to Quickbooks without the Invoice, leaving Quickbooks showing a negative balance because it has nothing to attach the payment to. My experience with this software has been nothing less than a nightmare. As stated in another review, there is a 30-day refund window, but it took almost 1 year to get the platform launched with their full paid for in-house launch team. The salesmen are nothing more and told me everything I wanted to hear. The platform is extremely outdated, and the real cost of ownership rears its ugly head when you need to pay them to make "reports" at $800 per for everything even as basic as your sales quote/order template. We have 7 seats but only 6 employees, yet every other hour someone is getting kicked off the platform saying that we reached 7 logged-in users. I was told the time it takes to get the platform launched is all based on how quickly I can provide the required data, and typically it will take the customer 4-6 months. I had the whole data set provided within 4 days and it still took 6 months for them to produce a broken database which then took 4 months for them to redo it. After that, it took 1 month to schedule a virtual onsite training and then 1 month after that to schedule for launch day, but I was told I was lucky because it usually takes 6 weeks to schedule such things. After using the platform for 2 months I have discovered that it's filled with limitations and inflexibilities. Forget about support, speak with 3 different "support" agents, and get 4 different answers 10 days later. The waste of money isn't as big of a deal as the waste of time. Purchase the platform, then monthly hosting is $250.00 per month, yearly "support" contract is $4,000.00, quick books online $175.00 per month, 5 reports x $800 ea, every connector they offer is $2,000.00. I love the fact that they have the live chat with an associate to answer any questions or concerns i have right away. Also the fact that they email the conversation to you after so you can have record for troubleshooting in the future. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Well there is not a downside really but the fact that its not like any other inventory program i have used before so getting used to making the part and then the product is alittle confusing and seems like a un needed step when dealing with only inventory and not manufacturing products to sell. It works. As advertised and better. Some companies embellish the quality and quantity of their features. Not Fishbowl. They do every they say and more. That Fishbowl doesn't make financial software so that I could stop using Quickbooks. Quickbooks Online doesn't allow changes to Products so part and product fields are not updated in Quickbooks. Fishbowl doesn't mention this in any of their documentation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Fishbowl has been straightforward to implement and has solid integrations with QuickBooks and multiple shipping companies. The onboarding and customer service teams have been excellent. The ability to obtain timely custom reports from Fishbowl directly is limited, but there are solid third-party vendors who can fill this gap. Fishbowl can be a bit finicky if there are any internet connectivity issues and the application is connecting to a hosted server. Software is great for tracking inventory as well as tracking shipping and receiving. It lets us track lot numbers, expiration dates, and more. I can send emails directly from the program, which saves a lot of time. We can also track waste weights for our products, and other materials like boxes and bags. It's great to have everything in one place. Fishbowl can also produce various reports and connects to Quickbooks, so it helps on our accounting side. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Sometimes the steps can feel redundant. Some processes require many clicks. I think the learning curve can be a bit high. I haven't figured out how to cancel shipments that get accidentally shipped, and since we have multiple people in the system, it can be tedious to see what others did so work isn't duplicated.
