## Firstup Reviews
  ### 1. Firstup Review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Food & Beverages | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 08, 2022

**What do you like best about Firstup?**

The employee communication element involved in usage of Firstup makes it much easier for employees to stay connected, and have a measurable manner of meeting goals.

**What do you dislike about Firstup?**

Some features could be improved for future updates. For example, including photos in posts for Quality purposes or inspection of nonconformances or physical defects.

**Recommendations to others considering Firstup:**

If you're looking to engage your employees in a collaborative way and to increase employee involvement in larger company goals, Firstup is a great tool to get a step in the right direction.

**What problems is Firstup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Firstup has been an excellent tool in terms of employee engagement. It has made communication and integration of each employee into projects and goals much more organic.

  ### 2. Excellent internal communications tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kelly K. | V, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2021

**What do you like best about Firstup?**

Social Chorus was selected for our company after a thorough RFP process and we are so satisfied with the decision. Social Chorus has helped us transform how we communicate with employees - from a very easy to use desktop to an app along with the ability for employees to engage directly with content and share it on their external channels. Many of our employees have also created channels and it has enabled our centralized team to be involved but yet not have to own the execution of all of the communications. Also really love the reporting.

**What do you dislike about Firstup?**

Nothing in particular we dislike. No downsides

**Recommendations to others considering Firstup:**

You can't go wrong...

**What problems is Firstup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Internally for our communications team, prior to having this tool in place, their jobs were extremely onerous in terms of managing internal comms - this tool has provided so many benefits to them in terms of saving time and ease of use. Benefits beyond to our team are many for our employee base. They have access to real time communications when and where they want it (via desktop or mobile) and can both engage with the content, create their own and share pertinent content on their social channels.

  ### 3. Transform the way you communicate and engage with targeted groups across your workforce.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marcos R. | Manager, Communication Project Management & Events, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2021

**What do you like best about Firstup?**

SocialChorus has helped us reach more associates than ever before. We are now able to target communications to specific groups of associates and deliver information that is relevant to their location and role within the company. This platform has helped us give our associates information that matters to them, when they want it, where they want it.

The Analyze reports allow us to track and measure all pieces of communication to better understand what content our associates are engaging with and use these metrics to shape our future communication strategies.

**What do you dislike about Firstup?**

There's not much to dislike about the SocialChorus Platform, but we do have a few small suggestions.

Email editing - we would like to see more options for formatting the body of email templates, including attaching files.

Submitting photos - The photo submission process could be a little more seamless by including the option to submit photos within a comment on a post.

**What problems is Firstup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prior to SocialChrous, we were only able to directly communicate with about a quarter of our workforce. This platform allows us to drive strategic business initiatives by reaching more of our workforce and targeting communications to specific associate groups.

We are seeing increased engagement from our store and distribution center associates and learning more about the content that matters most to our key stakeholder groups.

  ### 4. A platform to enhance your corporate internal communications

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Curtis C. | Communications Director, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2021

**What do you like best about Firstup?**

Ideal for employers that don't have completely wired workforces. Through SocialChorus' platform, we've been able to put digital communications into the hands of hourly employees without email addresses and easy access to the company intranet. Push notifications, email campaigns, social functions, analytics and intranet integration, are all key features of the platform. Plus, fantastic customer support from their accounts team!

**What do you dislike about Firstup?**

Our company wasn't able to mandate usage, so it's a constant battle to sell the platform to our employees. Some facilities have done a great job. Others haven't. It's a challenge that internal comms teams must recognize before moving forward. If your team is up to it, success will be sweet. I also recommend getting leadership involved and supportive of the channel.

**What problems is Firstup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Digital comms for unwired employees. Central repository for company news and information. Ability to promote stories through social. User-generated content.

  ### 5. Game Changer!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Raleigh D. | S, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 08, 2021

**What do you like best about Firstup?**

It’s so easy to create posts to keep our team connected in real time, especially during a pandemic!

**What do you dislike about Firstup?**

I wish there was a calendar feature to show upcoming events and deadlines

**Recommendations to others considering Firstup:**

We looked at multiple options and found Dynamic Signal was the most customizable, and easiest to use at the best price.

**What problems is Firstup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We now have one, real-time communications channel for both our hourly and salaried teams. We aren’t emailing the office team and printing messages for the hourly team. We’re also engaging the team in dialogue through surveys, quick polls, comments & messaging.

  ### 6. A great all-in-one solution

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospitality | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 08, 2021

**What do you like best about Firstup?**

The platform is straightforward and user-friendly to learn, making life easier when recruiting others across the company to communicate. The ability to simultaneously push out a mobile notification, email, and post is highly time-saving and captures audiences where they are without additional effort. In addition, the support we receive from Social Chorus has been great. We meet regularly to look at stats and figure out where there's room for improvement, which is very helpful.

**What do you dislike about Firstup?**

While it's great that they continue to update features regularly, sometimes the volume/number of updates can be a bit overwhelming, especially in your first year of using the platform.

**What problems is Firstup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Previously we were using four different platforms to send communications. It was ineffective and a huge time suck, with limited data. We also lacked a lot of creative ability to play with images, fonts, video, or social sharing. Now we can create multiple content types to capture attention and measure what people are engaging with to change tactics with our strategies.

  ### 7. Easily connects all employees - without burdening internal comms

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Deanna S. | Senior Director of Marketing and Communications, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 03, 2021

**What do you like best about Firstup?**

Social Chorus has kept my teams connected across their different locations - but more importantly, it decentralized internal communications so that teams could have insight across the company without needing it filtered through internal comms. We run pretty lean, so giving employees that capability was akin to adding to the team.

Also - out of all the marcomm platforms that our team uses, Social Chorus has the most user-friendly back end. Without this, the team wouldn't have been able to adopt it so easily. Posting updates either from your phone or as a publisher is extremely easy.

Finally - I can't say enough about the account support. The team is always responsive and a couple steps ahead of where I am. Kudos to them for growing and keeping customer service a priority.

**What do you dislike about Firstup?**

We really haven't seen any downside. The price is high but worth it and justifiable.

**What problems is Firstup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With teams across different locations, Social Chorus has given everyone a way to stay connected both to each other and to our corporate messages and brand. Before Social Chorus, this was an everyday burden attempting to update our intranet. Now, everyone has the ability to post - not just about their work, but the major events in their life - giving employees common ground to start from as well.

  ### 8. Revolutionizing Internal Comms

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Susan G. | VP, IT & CIO, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2021

**What do you like best about Firstup?**

As a technology professional passionate about internal communications, SocialChorus has checked every box from a technology, usability, and adoption standpoint. The implementation process simple and secure and works well with single sign-on products. We chose a model to allow many contributors from our employee base, and the process of creating and posting content is simple. SocialChorus is constantly innovating both their core product, their administrative console, and their metrics measurement. They have a detailed knowledge base and conduct monthly calls to review our metrics, preview new product offerings, and help us get the most from the product.

We also love that SocialChorus has provided us with the ability to use it combined with our newly revamped intranet. With employees spread out over many locations, we can meet their communication needs using whatever platforms and devices they desire.

**What do you dislike about Firstup?**

SocialChorus is an excellent but expensive product, and some innovations are not part of the base offering. There have been several features we would have liked to have implemented, but the cost was too high for our budget.

**What problems is Firstup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Following an employee engagement survey, one of the top three issues was internal communications. We looked at opportunities to resolve this issue using various ideas but didn't find the solution until we implemented SocialChorus. Employees felt there was too much communication, and it was not easy to know where to find important information. Communication was very dense and text-heavy. SocialChorus allows us to communicate with our employees in a more relatable way, using pictures, photos, push notifications, and polls. Employees can share on-the-job experiences, glimpses of their personal lives, and progress on important initiatives.

Employees feel more connected to each other and the company since we implemented SocialChorus.

  ### 9. Dynamic Signal keeps our employees up-to-date with need-to-know information, connected, and engaged!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kelly D. | Manager, Corporate Communications, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2021

**What do you like best about Firstup?**

Employees that are remote, or in-office, have access to the information they need in real time. Employees are also much more engaged across the organization, sharing photos, comments, and tags. Additionally, we are able to quickly upload video communications and poll employees for fast feedback. The departments we work with across the organization are extremely thankful that communications can be posted right away, especially time sensitive information. Broadcasts/push notifications help us get eyes on critical information fast, or help us further engage employees with happenings/events they make have overlooked. With these broadcasts we have the option to send an email as well, so for those employees that do prefer email or are more likely to check their email over their phone, we have the option of reaching them as well.

We are also able to quickly communicate with our partners, by allowing them to log into the platform and get eyes on information quickly. Further, we can subscribe them to specific information so they are able to see the things that pertain to them, without all of the engagement items they don't necessarily need (though they have the option to view those items if they subscribe!).

Posts can be directed at specific audiences/departments so each employee will have access to different communications, or only the information they need. This is the same with broadcasts, that they can be directed to only the users that need the information.

All of this boils down to the fact that we're not flooding our employees inboxes and causing information to get overlooked. Employees are in-the-know with Dynamic Signal more than ever and they appreciate the fact that the platform makes it easier for them to do their jobs.

**What do you dislike about Firstup?**

We haven't experienced many downsides with using the platform. Additional customizable features would be useful to keep the platform more on brand; we're currently unable to use our own font or colors for posts. We have had minor issues copying content from Word into the "create post" section - bulleted items will sometimes appear out of order. Additionally, the "share" feature will record shares if the option is clicked, but not necessarily shared. While we haven't had any issues with the layout, the option to change it, especially per the individual experience, would be a nice feature. If posts are "pinned" to the top, employees using the app will see the same posts while scrolling and may not think there are any new communications; having a notification at the top that says something along the lines of "You have # new posts you haven't viewed" would be a great way to let employees know they may be missing something.

We have only had a few issues with broadcasts not sending, or having been delayed. Also, employees that have their push notifications off will unfortunately not receive these messages.

**Recommendations to others considering Firstup:**

Dynamic Signal has been an amazing tool for us, and an absolute lifesaver during recent times. If you're considering the platform, I would highly recommended it! We’re so thankful we have the platform and can't imagine going back to email. All of your communications in one place, posted whenever you need, giving employees access whenever they need. It's a win-win!

**What problems is Firstup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Dynamic Signal we have been able to solve the issue of all employees not having the same access to information outside of work (those without company laptops or phones). With the increase in remote work during the last year related to the pandemic, the platform has been critical to the success of our communications and has made it possible for us to keep all of our employees connected to each other, their teams, their managers, and important information. The increased access has helped us to keep employees up-to-date and reassured during difficult times.

Additionally, the platform has helped us keep all employees, regardless of which building their in, connected to each other and engaged. Employees now have visibility and insight into what their teammates from all locations do, through photo sharing, comments, and employee posts. These comments and posts also alert our team to any issues or information that needs to be clarified, as well as provides us with quick feedback from our employees.

  ### 10. Great tool and amazing partnerships!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lindsey S. | Assistant Vice President, Communications Operations, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2021

**What do you like best about Firstup?**

We love the continued focus on building newer and better functionality of the platform. It has made our job as internal communicators so much easier with a single point of publishing to various communication channels, including our Intranet.

**What do you dislike about Firstup?**

There's not much but I'd have to say certain limitations in how to pull reports, although I know SC is working to improve this.

**Recommendations to others considering Firstup:**

Connect with existing customers for tips and tricks on the implementation and launch of the platform, especially in similar industry areas.

**What problems is Firstup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Single point of publishing, reaching audiences we couldn't before and increased employee engagement.

  ### 11. Great platform for advocacy and internal comunications

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matthew B. | Social Media Manager - Influencer Marketing, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2021

**What do you like best about Firstup?**

Dynamic Signal makes it easy for users to submit, find and share content to their preferred social networks. The desktop and mobile interfaces are both very user-friendly and that has led to it being adopted widely across our company.

**What do you dislike about Firstup?**

The admin side of the platform, such as the analytics, could be improved. It's easy to pull overall numbers but if you really want to dig into specific metrics, it's best to pull reports via Excel and then dig into the data there.

**Recommendations to others considering Firstup:**

I'd recommend thoroughly planning out your internal hierarchy for users before rolling it out. Otherwise you may have to retroactively categorize users later on.

**What problems is Firstup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our employees didn't have a single platform to find content that they could share to their social networks. Dynamic Signal solved that problem and we have certainly seen an increase in social traffic because of the adoption and use of the platform.

  ### 12. Extremely pleasant and rewarding.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Banking | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 30, 2021

**What do you like best about Firstup?**

The immediate analytics help us make real-time decisions about content.

**What do you dislike about Firstup?**

I wish the reporting system was a little more user-friendly.

**What problems is Firstup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are trying to minimize the number of emails we send to our employees.

  ### 13. Dynamic Signal - The Easiest Way to Activate Your Teams

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hallie S. | Senior Marketing Content Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2021

**What do you like best about Firstup?**

I love how simple it is from both a community management standpoint and as a user to use the Dynamic Signal platform. Everything is super intuitive making it an easy tool for any company to implement. We've seen great success using this tool to grow and foster our brand ambassador program. They make it easy to customize and add content, create categories so only the most relevant content is sent and shown to the right groups, and it's so easy to post that content to social. It's a great system!

**What do you dislike about Firstup?**

The one thing I dislike about the platform is you don't have the ability to @ tag people on LinkedIn through the platform. I think if this was available, it'd really enhance the value of the tool.

**What problems is Firstup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dynamic Signal offers us a central location where we can input all of our content and easily distribute it to everyone in the company to share with their social networks. We've greatly increased brand awareness and have even driven leads.

  ### 14. Game changer for internal communication

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Raquel "Kelly" M. | Director, Organizational Effectiveness, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 13, 2021

**What do you like best about Firstup?**

The platform allows for communication that is much more engaging than email, and has far better reach than email for our employees who are not desk-bound and those who do not work M-F daytime hours.

**What do you dislike about Firstup?**

There have been some unexpected technical glitches but they have been addressed quickly and with the focused attention of the CEO.

**What problems is Firstup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dynamic Signal has allowed us to reach employees who are traditionally difficult to reach (e.g., nurses, physicians) with critical information, especially during the pandemic when important information needed to be communicated quickly. We have improved engagement and have been able to more effectively disseminate critical resources for well-being.

  ### 15. Positive experience about Dynamic Signal

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 02, 2021

**What do you like best about Firstup?**

I like that Dynamic Signal (DS) provides our organization a platform to connect with Associates in both formal and informal ways. This could be something from a formal policy communication or a notification about an impromptu jeans day at the office. It was first rolled out at our Corporate Office and is now being cascaded down throughout our hospitals. It was the perfect platform to roll out during COVID to help bring everyone together.

**What do you dislike about Firstup?**

I dislike the fact I get completely logged out of my iPhone app after a week or 2. I can't login with my FaceID, instead, I need to search for my CHRISTUS Community and login in again from our single sign on feature- OKTA.

**What problems is Firstup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Problems: Connecting with Associates, Mass communications that are easily accessible through mobile devices

Benefits: more connectivity across all levels of the organization, more personalized connections, drives engagement

  ### 16. Wealth of great features with some limitations

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2021

**What do you like best about Firstup?**

The wide range of features available, ability to tag and segment members, variety of reporting features, ease of use, allows employees to share quickly and regularly

**What do you dislike about Firstup?**

High cost, charge for employees who are no full registered yet or active, limitations on email templates, email link tracking and analytics

**Recommendations to others considering Firstup:**

Must have admins dedicated to managing this platform and program as a large part of their role. Cannot "set it and forget it," requires daily maintenance and promotion internally to encourage user adoption.

**What problems is Firstup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Employee sharing and engagement, segmented employee comms program

  ### 17. Digital Employee Experience

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospitality | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2021

**What do you like best about Firstup?**

The intuitive, modern user experience. Little training required.

**What do you dislike about Firstup?**

Features and functionality are typically rolled out at a basic level and evolve over time.

**What problems is Firstup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is a primary communications channel for our global workforce, keeping employees connected, informed and engaged.

  ### 18. Useful communications tool for field-based workforce

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Food Production | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Firstup?**

Ability to communicate with teammates without company-provided email addresses through app on mobile phone

**What do you dislike about Firstup?**

Missing some obvious functionality like being able to send a video without creating a post and the ability to distinguish profiles with the same name

**What problems is Firstup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're able to communicate with our mostly field-based workforce regardless of access to company-provided email. Our app is the communications resource for the company and is widely used by all departments to share important updates.

  ### 19. Good tool, plenty of room for improvement

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2021

**What do you like best about Firstup?**

The ease of social sharing and integration within our marketing tech stack

**What do you dislike about Firstup?**

Reporting capabilities, email template flexibility

**Recommendations to others considering Firstup:**

Make sure you're clear on what your use case is to understand if this tool is the right tool for you.

**What problems is Firstup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Activating our employee base to amplify our messages in the market. Our social results are off the charts!

  ### 20. They thought of everything!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Oil & Energy | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 25, 2021

**What do you like best about Firstup?**

How it's an interactive platform that is similar to the social media we use today. So there is not a huge learning curve for the mass majority.

**What do you dislike about Firstup?**

It could use a few more features, like letting people comment with a photo in a post.

**What problems is Firstup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are solving the problem of reaching employees that do not have email addresses. This allows them to get corporate and other important communication even if they have a job that does not require a desk, computer and email.

  ### 21. Great user experience for managers and members

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Banking | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2021

**What do you like best about Firstup?**

How easy the platform is to navigate for a global manager

**What do you dislike about Firstup?**

The Points system for Leaderboards is not explained well or separated out so that it's easy to find or explain to members

**What problems is Firstup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Making social media easier to use for colleagues who have previously been reluctant to engage.
Making lots of feeds available in one place.
More staff engagement with certain sections of colleagues

  ### 22. Impactful tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2021

**What do you like best about Firstup?**

I like how easy it is to add content and measure results.

**What do you dislike about Firstup?**

I wish the member fields were more robust to allow for more information that our HRIS has.

**What problems is Firstup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Dynamic Signal, I'm able to measure the impact of our employee advocacy program through social media sharing. It's a very fast and efficient platform to help distribute our company's messaging.

  ### 23. Great platform with powerful tools

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Chemicals | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2020

**What do you like best about Firstup?**

I like that I can send messages to employees quickly

**What do you dislike about Firstup?**

I don't like that you can't change the email address that messages come from

**What problems is Firstup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dynamic Signal helps increase transparency and communication with our employees. It helps deskless employees stay more connected.

  ### 24. Great all-in-one advocacy tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2020

**What do you like best about Firstup?**

Dynamic Signal is a great tool if you're looking to start an employee advocacy program. We used DS to roll out our program internationally with no issues, We were able to set up separate leaderboards, streams, accounts, etc and easily manage the program in one place. The interface is easy to navigate as well.

**What do you dislike about Firstup?**

Not much to dislike as the platform pretty much had everything we needed to run our Employee Advocacy program with little upkeep. As with any technology we'd sometimes run into little bugs like keeping some feeds connected, but nothing major. I'd say the biggest challenge in running an advocacy program is getting the teams excited to share information and to really adopt the program and its goals.

**What problems is Firstup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were able to solve the problem of sharing company news, updates, thought leadership and content in one easy platform. We were able to instantly broadcast new content or news to share with our internal networks, who would then easily be able to amplify that message to their own networks.

  ### 25. Expensive for What You Get

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2019

**What do you like best about Firstup?**

I like the ability to send broadcasts to our user base, and the ease of use on the user side isn't too bad.

**What do you dislike about Firstup?**

Images regularly don't work with users share to LinkedIn and Twitter. We've pointed this out to Dynamic Signal several times. Sometimes they blame it on us, other times it's a "known issue" that they're troubleshooting, but they haven't followed up as promised. And their pricing has drastically increased since we last signed a contract with them, making renewal a tough sell, especially with known issues that impact functionality.

**Recommendations to others considering Firstup:**

Make sure you look at the UI for admins as well as for employees. The admin UI is not intuitive, and is overly complex compared to other similar solutions.

**What problems is Firstup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Dynamic Signal as an employee advocacy tool to get our employees sharing content on their social networks.

  ### 26. Great experience with app and the SocialChorus team.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maggie P. | Senior Developer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2019

**What do you like best about Firstup?**

We loved the simple and streamlined technology--it was easy to use and got immediate user engagement from our associates. We also had a great time with our engagement manager, Andrew, who is always responsive and proactive.

**What do you dislike about Firstup?**

Partly due to data on our side, we do have some minor issues managing targeting and grouping. The interface is pretty good for what we need to do but oftentimes requires someone more technical to step in and assist with the setup.

**What problems is Firstup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of our biggest original purposes for SocialChorus was to reach out associates who did not have a work PC at all. This app let us get great outreach to a large segment of the population that previously was very difficult to reach in any centralized manner.

  ### 27. Great App for modernizing Comms

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mitch R. | Program Lead - Juniper Champions, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2019

**What do you like best about Firstup?**

I love the ease of use and the support from the Social Chorus team. The team is very proactive an often addresses challenges before we even think of them. They are a great team to work with and easily help us achieve our communication goals and implement our strategy.

**What do you dislike about Firstup?**

My only dislike is the difficulty of sharing between programs. Equally, this is in the works of getting fixed and will soon be a non issue.

**Recommendations to others considering Firstup:**

You will not regret making this choice. It is a fantastic platform and will help unify your comms across all of your user groups.

**What problems is Firstup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am working on driving more engagement and communication with our reseller community.

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Firstup?**

With it's ability to update team with regular content to post on social media it helped letting so many people about us via trusted friends and resulted in good number of leads.

**What do you dislike about Firstup?**

We used it for a the dedicated purpose mentioned above and didn't go in depth about, so I can't think of any disadvantages!

**What problems is Firstup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Branding and spread word of mouth about our services

  ### 29. Tech Startup using for Social Sharing

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2018

**What do you like best about Firstup?**

I love the ability to create posts that allow easy sharing for our sales, marketing, and services teams. This also allows our global company to stay connected.

**What do you dislike about Firstup?**

I don't think the options for content are very intuitive. It has been all trial and error for me to be able to figure out how and what type of content works best for individual situations.

**What problems is Firstup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The most important business problem we are solving using Social Chorus is the ease of sharing marketing approved content via our employees to their social networks. The benefits we've experienced is increase engagement from employees and prospects with our marketing generated content as well as streamlined corporate communications.

  ### 30. Great tool for sharing information

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maria B. | Senior Copywriter, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 09, 2018

**What do you like best about Firstup?**

We use the SocialChorus admin dashboard and insights daily to measure the impact of our socially shared blog posts, case studies, white papers, and reports. It's easy to use and helps us easily keep track of performance.

**What do you dislike about Firstup?**

I wish there was a single sign-on to the admin dashboard, user platform, and knowledgebase.

**What problems is Firstup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're allowing our employees to easily share our content assets from a single location. We've been able to boost brand awareness and keep our content in constant social rotation.

  ### 31. Great way to push content to all of my social channels!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 25, 2018

**What do you like best about Firstup?**

Like that I am able to send out content to my LinkedIn and Twitter all in one centralized area. Also, love how it keeps points and compares to others in my company. Gets competitive!

**What do you dislike about Firstup?**

Really nothing. I do wish it could just push all content that's uploaded without me telling it to.

**What problems is Firstup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

saves me a lot of time while doing social touches

  ### 32. Great for internal sharing

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2017

**What do you like best about Firstup?**

Compared to our internal sharing methods that we replaced with DynamicSignal, it is significantly less time consuming and we are seeing far better results. The addition of a leaderboard has really motivated employees

**What do you dislike about Firstup?**

The mobile version is not very admin friendly, and I don't love that suggested share text has to be Twitter friendly because it really limits you. Sometimes the on boarding emails go into employee's spam, which just requires a little more effort from the admin to get them all signed up, but I think that is probably an issue with our email settings and not Dynamic Signal.

**Recommendations to others considering Firstup:**

The leaderboards are a really fun way to drive a little internal competition - we've had a ton of employees become super engaged on social to see themselves climb up the ranks on the weekly leaderboards. Create leaderboards for each individual team in addition to the total member leaderboard.

**What problems is Firstup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has significantly increased the amount of employees that share our content. By having a competitive factor, employees are more motivated than ever.

  ### 33. Bring everyone together

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lauren C. | Speech Language Pathologist, Higher Education, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 26, 2017

**What do you like best about Firstup?**

SocialChorus definitely pulls the team together. It streamlines communications on the team and helps keep us on task. It helps us feel like a team even if we're not near each other.

**What do you dislike about Firstup?**

Can't say that I dislike anything at this time.

**Recommendations to others considering Firstup:**

Consider how large your group is and if everyone would work to implement it's use.

**What problems is Firstup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have more frequent and open communication.

  ### 34. Good, but hard to get our agency to adapt.

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 01, 2017

**What do you like best about Firstup?**

I like that everyone in the agency can post on it. There are also visuals and push notifications. It's nice to be able to have all of our information and announcements located in one place.

**What do you dislike about Firstup?**

You can target push notifications or posts to specific regions. For example, not every event that occurs in our New York office occurs in our California offices. I also wish that you could search for posts. Once a post gets covered with more posts, it is hard to find.

**Recommendations to others considering Firstup:**

Make it more targeted.

**What problems is Firstup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Trying to eliminate the amount of group emails that are sent, but I don't think we have enough of an adoption rate to see the benefits. We still have to make a post on Social Chorus and then also send out and email with a link to Social Chorus. Some people just ignore the fast that we use it.

  ### 35. Social Chorus Review

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospitality | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 23, 2018

**What do you like best about Firstup?**

I like that it gives everyone within the sales department their own way to market themselves. It's another channel with more personalization.

**What do you dislike about Firstup?**

Reporting within the product is lacking.

**What problems is Firstup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With a new focus on personalization, I helped in the implementation stages of SC. Aligned with timing of promotional offer campaigns, agents now have a way to re-promote those offers on Social Media network platforms.

  ### 36. Makes sharing easy for a large team

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2015

**What do you like best about Firstup?**

Dynamic Signal is an easy to use platform to promote posts, article and news within an organization and utilize the power of employee's social networks to spread news.

**What do you dislike about Firstup?**

The tool was slightly more complicated when connecting Company-profiles, but very easy and straightfoward to connect individual networks

**Recommendations to others considering Firstup:**

Dynamic Signal makes it easy to get your full team participating in Social Media and understanding of their impact to marketing metrics. It's also got gamification.

**What problems is Firstup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a way to get employees sharing and helping boost our online presence.

  ### 37. Great experience that keeps improving

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ann F. | Marketing Director, Vice President, Architecture & Planning, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2016

**What do you like best about Firstup?**

I like the responsiveness of Social Chorus' team. Regardless of the type of question or suggestion we have, they are quick to respond and extremely receptive of our feedback. They are continually making improvements to the program.

**What do you dislike about Firstup?**

We seem to have issues with the weekly emails that are supposed to be sent out automatically. It may be a combination of them and us, though. (IT people have been looking into the challenges, and we'll see what happens when resolved. Also, there are some technical items that have not been developed yet - but that are in development, so I can't say I dislike anything in particular. If I do, I don't for long.

**Recommendations to others considering Firstup:**

Be patient. It takes time to gain a large number of active employees. Be open to new ideas, but trust that you know your firm's tendencies.

**What problems is Firstup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have increased employee engagement in our social media by providing them with guard rails, as it were, for how and what they should share. it has been helpful to people who were unclear on policy or hesitant to dive in. Employees continue to join the program and we have had people who wouldn't normally be interested in social media - express an interest - and increased knowledge! It is easier to communicate and spread the word about news we are in , share stories about our people and our projects - and to spread the word about career opportunities.

  ### 38. Simple content sharing platform, little analytics capabilities

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Public Relations and Communications | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 02, 2016

**What do you like best about Firstup?**

SocialChorus is a simple content sharing platform. The ease of access to the platform, the automation and scheduling of posts, the automatically added hashtag(s) and the ability for users to submit their own content for review are among the platform's features.

**What do you dislike about Firstup?**

The platform's tracking and analytics are minimal. "Reports" are available for download that manual tracks each post or each person in an Excel spreadsheet, making any kind of analysis tedious, manual therefore generally inaccessible. The platform also doesn't allow for customized email blasts to members to highlight certain posts or initiatives. The Submit Content feature also doesn't autopopulate images, just texting, making multimedia posts manual in nature. The site was also only available on desktop, adding an additional step to most social sharing.

**Recommendations to others considering Firstup:**

For a simple social sharing platform, SocialChorus is adequate. However, mobile sharing, customization of posts, emails, audiences and even basic analytics are lacking and something users should know before they start working with this platform.

**What problems is Firstup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The contract was initiated to solve a need of giving a community of advocates ease of access to sharing pre-selected content about the brand for which they worked. SocialChorus allowed users to share content from the brand, their fellow advocates and the program management team easily across multiple platforms. The benefits of using the platform including amplified and coordinated social reach for the program.

  ### 39. Simple Tool, Ads Value, Takes 30 Seconds

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chalene C. | Manager, Corporate Sales, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 19, 2016

**What do you like best about Firstup?**

I use SocialChorus for a very simple use case. My company posts great content for our current and potential customers and a lot of it might not get shared without SocialChorus. Before SocialChorus we'd get an email with some content and directions to share that required several steps and more "directions-to-post" reading than I wanted to be bothered with in my busy day. Now all I do is grab my iPhone, open the app, select the content I want to share hit post and it automatically shares with the networks I selected. It takes 30 seconds. This allows me to share great insights and recommendations to my prospects and customers easily.

**What do you dislike about Firstup?**

My use is a very simple use case and it's extremely easy, for me there is nothing to dislike.

**What problems is Firstup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Brand awareness and sharing helpful content with potential and existing customers.

  ### 40. Steadily Improving

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 16, 2016

**What do you like best about Firstup?**

I like the fact that the company steadily tries to improve the platform, they take all the feedback they can get and effectively maximize the capabilities of the platform based on the feedbacks. That just simply proves that the platform can only get better with this continuous improvement. On another note, the platform is decently effective for our company right now, but it is slowly accomplishing what we need it for so we are sticking to it, and I would definitely recommend it.

**What do you dislike about Firstup?**

I don't really have any complaints or dislike about the platform since whenever I have a slight issue, I communicate it with them and they resolve it as soon as possible. I'm quite comfortable with the platform at the moment.

**Recommendations to others considering Firstup:**

Definitely a good tool to have within your company. If implemented and utilized efficiently it could synchronize every unit of your business.

**What problems is Firstup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Employee engagement
Internal communication
Engagement between the company, its employees, people in the employee network.

  ### 41. Ahead of the game!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 29, 2015

**What do you like best about Firstup?**

The mobile app functionality and ability to easily share content with employees via channel grouping. The ability to share content via social and email. In platform Twitter functionality. The ability to add social feeds/dynamic content.

**What do you dislike about Firstup?**

Since the launch of the app there has been a UX difference between the mobile and desktop platforms. Some features were lost on desktop whereas new features were gained on mobile. I'd like to see an improvement in technical UX on both platforms with consistency and less bugs.

**Recommendations to others considering Firstup:**

Ensure all content urls are trackable so that the impact of Social Chorus and content sharing is measurable to website traffic and sales pipeline

**What problems is Firstup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our business challenge includes lack of visibility to the Prophix brand on social platforms. We wanted to improve conversations about the brand as well as the product and industry. Social Chorus allows employees to share thought leadership content not only about our company but about the industry as a whole. This in-turn improved the brand's digital footprint.

  ### 42. Dynamic Signal enables Scalable social media campaigns

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Orion C. | Sr. Director of Product Marketing, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2015

**What do you like best about Firstup?**

Dynamic Signal makes it easy to promote social posts about your organization, which in turn helps drive awareness of your company's brand and news. In most organizations, the most social savvy folks usually reside in marketing, and after that perhaps a few sales reps looking to be thought leaders, and HR looking for new talent. Beyond these departments social sharing seems to be less commonplace. Dynamic signal gives everyone tan easy to use way to socially share like a pro. New job postings? Check. Thought leadership articles? Check. Company news? Check. Everyone from the CEO to the admins can represent your company in with style and grace.

**What do you dislike about Firstup?**

There should be a better way to gamify the system. While it has point levels, there doesn't appear to be a well though out way to control or use them. If you were to say "whoever has the most points at the end of the quarter wins X" people could just rapidly share the same post spamming their networks to win. This would be abrasive and pain a bad picture about your company. It would be great if some thought was put into this part of the product to see how to make it more usable for incentives.

**What problems is Firstup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are looking for a way to standardize and automate our social sharing to achieve scale. As a startup, awareness is very important to our business growth.

  ### 43. Being a good social contributor has never been easier

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jody S. | Marketing Manager, Mobility Solutions, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2015

**What do you like best about Firstup?**

It is easy to consume social, but contributing takes much more thought and time. CDW's Social Chorus deployment has minimized the time and effort for coworkers. We now have curated and company approved content that can be published to our social network of choice in a matter of seconds. No more wondering if the content is appropriate or what you should say; our internal Social Media team has taken care of those steps, while still providing us the ability to customize the message and timing. The web dashboard is great, but the daily email with two featured pieces allows me to be social without ever leaving my inbox. I am also hopeful that we can integrate SC into our internal social tool soon.

**What do you dislike about Firstup?**

As a user there is very little to dislike. Really the only downside I have seen is clicking on a piece of content in the email and being directed to the main web page versus going direct to that piece of content. If you want to share immediately, it is perfect. However, if you want to view the content in the email first, it requires a little extra effort. (This could be a glitch in CDW's deployment.)

**Recommendations to others considering Firstup:**

I was part of the RFP process for the platform and was very impressed with the product. As a former owner of a SaaS Sales Enablement platform at CDW, I would recommend this product for user experience and ease of integration.

**What problems is Firstup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use the platform to share information across LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook. Our social Media team curates business content, but pulls in some fun/intriguing articles too. I also use it as place to learn and keep current.

  ### 44. A great platform for employee Advocacy

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John V. | Digital Marketing Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2015

**What do you like best about Firstup?**

Easy of use and fuction with Social Chorus has made the launch of our employee advocacy program simple. Also the support team there is great at response back to our feed back and minor issues.

**What do you dislike about Firstup?**

As we have adapted the mobile function of the platform, there are some minor bugs that comes with it. But we do understand that bugs do come from new development.

**Recommendations to others considering Firstup:**

I haven't use other platform before so I can't do a comparrision, however for my experience with Social Chours I would recommend giving it a try. It's a straight forward platform which anyone can manage.

**What problems is Firstup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

How Social Chorus help our business is that it gave us the ability to quickly update our employees with news updates, product update, events and general information that they can share out to their network. We found that use the platform made it more easy for employees to share, espcially when we adapted the mobile function

  ### 45. Amplifies social reach as well as keeps employees up to date on the latest company news

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elias T. | SVP Marketing, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2015

**What do you like best about Firstup?**

Dynamic Signal makes it easy for employees to share out company news in just a few clicks. Employees can choose to share via a web browser or a really slick mobile app. I personally like the mobile app as I do my sharing on my morning commute. The ability to smart schedule is great as Dynamic Signal will automagically share you post on LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook at the most impactful time.

**What do you dislike about Firstup?**

Really hard to think of something as Dynamic Signal is really awesome. Ok, here's a couple... Would be good to have a bit more granular control over which specific posts get pushed out to which specific employees. Would be good to add other social channels like Reddit.

**What problems is Firstup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping employees up to date on company news and amplifying our social reach. Here's my stats for the last 30 days (and we currently only have about 1/2 our employees on Dynamic Signal).

:: 326 shares by employees
:: 362,461 impressions
:: 591 clicks

Those are free impressions and clicks! (less the cost of Dynamic Signal, of course).

  ### 46. Adequate platform but doesn't do everything you need

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Katy P. | Senior Copywriter, Public Relations and Communications, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2016

**What do you like best about Firstup?**

Ability to share content with a group for them to share with their networks

**What do you dislike about Firstup?**

No community aspect for community members to communicate within the platform

**What problems is Firstup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Streamlining the sharing of content with third-party advocates.

The benefit is more content was shared and trackable.

  ### 47. Tough Sell

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Arts and Crafts | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2016

**What do you like best about Firstup?**

I enjoyed working with the outstanding customer success team.

**What do you dislike about Firstup?**

The platform is not for every company, i enjoyed how well they were able to adapt to all the changes quickly although the selling of certain add on features is overwhelming to the implementation team here and our employees using it.

**Recommendations to others considering Firstup:**

My favorite person i worked with there is no longer working there, Layne.

**What problems is Firstup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were solving for engaging our employees social to get a broader reach and employee engagement.

We realized that we don't have curate these type of things and they they can manifest on their own.

Slack (App) at our company took over.

  ### 48. Social Chorus a great tool for getting coworkers engaged

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2016

No major qualms with the platform. Intuitive interface made sharing content a breeze.

**Recommendations to others considering Firstup:**

Great tool to consider for increasing social buzz within an organization.

**What problems is Firstup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Increased social impressions and engagement metrics for the Small Business Revolution movement spearheaded by our enterprise brand team.

  ### 49. We have had SocialChorus (called "Pulse" internally) for over a year now and have found it valuable

Would like to add more gamification capabilities

**What problems is Firstup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Increase visibility with prospects and customers via employees outreach

  ### 50. Dynamic Signal for a small business

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Katherine G. | Marketing Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 15, 2015

**What do you like best about Firstup?**

The ability to share company news easily and shareable with the company.

**What do you dislike about Firstup?**

Some of the customization is hard to handle and setting up different messages for specific channels should be an easier option.

**What problems is Firstup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are a small company that has exciting things happening all the time, using Dyanmic Signal we are able to push out white papers, awards, industry news etc and employees can easily share to their networks helping grow our social presence.
