For example if staff wants sick /vacation time off, there is a few layers in to find out if they have enough time left in that category to grant that request. Also, when there is information that should be visible on a main page rather than buried in another layer. For example, when searching a staff, it will show a T to indicate terminated, but it will not show the date of termination.
