Since FFA is integrated with salesforce CRM, it makes it possible for me to link my financial transactions with actual opps and offers which allows tracking and monitoring of data easier. The audit trail in FFA is great compared to Quickbooks and the fact that FFA is built on top of the salesforce platform so we can integrate systems and use quantitative data in our qualitative reports has been a game changer. Permissions. I do not like that financial force doesn't allow for our budget owners to access specific reports without being able to build reports to see other segments of the business. Also not a fan of the fact that I can't discard journal entries in bulk that have not been posted yet. Not so much a dislike, as something that new/prospective users need to understand: DO YOUR IMPLEMENTATION THE RIGHT WAY! Fully commit your organization and change management practices for 1-2 years (depending on complexity, etc.) - Don't "phone it in"! Over-allocate funds to this project, get the "nice-to-haves", don't put it off. In order for FinancialForce Accounting to transform your business, you need to be prepared for transformation, internally. FinancialForce's extensive resources (documentation, video training, and community) make learning the application possible without consultants and formal training. I couldn't be more impressed with their all-in approach on the Salesforce platform. FF documentation is as good as you can find in any other native Salesforce platform application. This made implementation so much easier than other ERP applications. FF customer service is equally as impressive: when there are issues to deal with, you get fast responses and talk directly with the subject matter experts.They follow up until the issue is resolved using proper case management.

The application itself is tried as true, despite being a young application. It just flat out works. The more I learn about the platform, the more I can leverage FinancialForce and vice versa.

Toggling between page views is a little tedious at times and makes administering certain pages a little harder than expected.

the upgrades do not fix everything that seems to come up wrong. I had to download a new add-in from the website and it was broken. Population on SIN and PIN pages are slow. When you put in a customer account it will sometimes add the wrong account and then you have to abandon what you started because you can’t make any changes even if it hasn’t been posted yet. It seems like basic functionality is lacking, particularly where financial reporting is concerned. We are spending a great deal of time exporting information to Excel and creating several financial reports OUTSIDE of the system.
