"Streamlined Workflow & Outstanding Support for Canadian Firms"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Financial Cents?

As an accounting firm based in Canada, we've been using Financial Cents for several months now, and it has truly transformed the way we manage our internal workflows and client communications. The platform is intuitive, easy to onboard, and packed with features that make task tracking, time management, and client collaboration seamless.

We especially appreciate how customizable the workflows are—perfect for handling everything from payroll and T-slip filing to corporate and personal tax returns. The client portal is a game-changer for securely sharing documents and keeping communication centralized.

Their support team is responsive, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in helping firms succeed. Whether you're a solo practitioner or a growing team, Financial Cents is a smart investment in operational efficiency.

Highly recommend to other Canadian firms looking to modernize their practice! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"My Preferred Practice Management App for Small Firms"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Financial Cents?

There's a lot to like about Financial Cents. What initially drew me (and is still most important to me) are the workflows - how they are organized, flexible and keep me on track every day so I can provide consistent, high quality service to my clients. Also, customer support is excellent; very responsive, and I love that they really listen and want to understand our needs, so the app is always improving. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Financial Cents?

I've been less enthused about how Financial Cents has integrated with my items list in QBO because it caused duplicates that I need to sort out. To be fair, this is because I was an early adopter of FC and had already built my list of items there before the feature to integrate became available, so that's where the duplication happened. If one is starting fresh with FC, they would not have this issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Solution for Accounting Needs"
5/5
What do you like best about Financial Cents?

The portal’s ease of use, reliable QuickBooks Online integration, and SOC 2 Type II security give me confidence in protecting client data. After upgrading my plan, it’s still affordable and ready for when I hire help. Implementation was great, though the merchant services approval process was a minor hassle. Customer support is knowledgeable and responsive, and I use the program daily for client management. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Financial Cents?

Adjusting timesheets for hourly work without a pre-created project is cumbersome, adding unnecessary steps. I also wish for invoice view tracking, like QuickBooks. Despite minor gaps, Financial Cents outperforms HoneyBook and QuickBooks for client management. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Bookkeepers' Best Friend!!"
5/5
What do you like best about Financial Cents?

Where do I start? Prior to Financial Cents, I'd been using another program to send questions to clients on uncategorized transactions. I attempted to use their workflow system, but it just didn't work for me. After hearing about FC in some bookkeeping groups, I'd decided to check it out. Holy smokes! I am amazed at how much productivity is packed into one program that doesn't cost me an arm and a leg. Send proposals, get e-signatures, client billing, secure file uploads, client feedback on uncategorized transactions, and customizable workflow management (my fav!). FC also has the absolute best help chat feature I've ever used, hands down. Nine times out of ten, "Fin" easily answers my questions, allowing me to move forward running my business. Financial Cents enables me to run my business easily and efficiently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Financial Cents?

The only downside of using Financial Cents is that I'm too efficient, and therefore, I have too much free time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent practice management software with built in tools that directly benefit our clients"
5/5
What do you like best about Financial Cents?

I love that FC offers a secure portal for clients to easily upload and access their documents from directly within the practice management software, so we don't need to integrate another 3rd party system like drop box, etc.

There are several features that really focus on ease of use for the client as well- which saves us time and our clients the headache of having to navigate multiple different systems when working with our firm. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Financial Cents?

I wish that we could include automated task emails that send directly from our email integration and not the FC server so we could more effectively track that communication. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Our best kept secret"
5/5
What do you like best about Financial Cents?

I hesitate to type this review as it is our best kept secret for managing our clients and our internal systems.

This program has transcended our business model.

I've used two other CRM, Project management tools as my business grew and I am happy to say this is the one that will stay the course and grow with us. The ease of use and community is far above so many others. The templates, employee timesheets, internal reports, and project management are the best I've seen and used.

If you are looking for a well rounded CRM and Project management system that is affordable and will grow with you....I highly recommend this program. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Financial Cents?

It would be great to have a phone app specific to Financial Cents. While you can use the system via browser, I would feel more secure with an actual phone app. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Has some good and some bad"
1/5
What do you like best about Financial Cents?

Overall the Financial Cents interface is clean and easy to find your way around. Support is usually quick and helpful if you need to contact them for an issue. Although not customizable for some reason, the client information is laid out well and includes all communications with the client as well as any resources needed. We don’t use the email section but it is nice that it has the ability to add multiple email accounts. User permissions are pretty detailed but it would be nice to create your own custom roles. What do you dislike about Financial Cents?

Honestly, the software feels incomplete and hampered by some really perplexing design decisions that really hurt productivity. There is no easily accessible area to view all communications with the clients or staff. For some odd reason they based all of the recurring projects on the due date instead of the start date so you have to calculate when the project is created based on how many days before its due. File management is atrocious. You can send file requests to clients monthly but after they upload you can only download or manipulate one at a time. There is no file editing capabilities built in but there is also no way to sync files so you are forced to download them each time. When uploading files after working on them it doesn’t give you the option to replace the existing file, just creates a separate copy. The worst has been their billing service that they implemented this year. They will hound you to use it even if it is a downgrade from what you are using. Additionally, they gated useful features like expanded reports and proposals to the billing module so that you can’t use them if you don’t use their merchant services.

Overall, I would say there are better solutions out there but unfortunately we have already committed with a couple of clients and won’t make them learn new software so we are stuck with them for now. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Financial Cents is an indispensable part of my business, and I can’t imagine working without it."
5/5
What do you like best about Financial Cents?

The interface is intuitive, and I appreciate how everything is designed with accounting professionals in mind. Task management, client organization, and project tracking are all seamless—making it so much easier to stay on top of deadlines without feeling overwhelmed. It’s like Financial Cents understands exactly what I need before I even realize it.

What really sets it apart for me is how it saves time while keeping my entire team accountable and clients informed. Instead of juggling multiple systems, I can rely on one tool to streamline operations and bring peace of mind to both myself and my clients. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Financial Cents?

The templates are not very useful for my firm. I've had to build projects from scratch. My firm is new and the clients I have are very simplified, so for instance, the monthly bookkeeping template has way more than I need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Extremely useful & user friendly"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Financial Cents?

I love the client portals with auto shared questions and the ability to connect to quickbooks. I love that I can easily send the questions, reminders, and invoices with clients. I have nothing but good luck with customer service, they've answered each question I've had. I use financial cents for everything, and often. From tracking time, tracking tasks, and tracking payments. It has been fairly simple to implement into my routine, though like any new habit, you have to stay consistent. The use of templates, and integrations with QuickBooks and Notion has been very helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Financial Cents?

The only thing I wish Financial Cents could do, are specialized reports for the accountant/bookkeeper's use. While I love that my clients can answer questions, it would be really nice to perform a review within Financial Cents rather than having to mess around in QuickBooks, excel, or invest in another platform. "Financial Cents: A Streamlined, Reliable Solution for Bookkeeping Firms"
5/5
What do you like best about Financial Cents?

Financial Cents has become an integral part of my bookkeeping practice because it strikes the right balance between simplicity, accountability, and efficiency. It is easy to use and quick to implement, allowing staff to get up to speed with minimal training, and the platform’s intuitive design makes it something I rely on daily. Customer support is responsive and helpful, which makes adoption even smoother. While it doesn’t overwhelm with unnecessary complexity, it still offers the right number of features—recurring workflows, deadline tracking, and client communication tools—that truly matter for a bookkeeping practice. Overall, Financial Cents is an excellent solution for small to mid-sized firms that want an easy-to-use, efficient platform to standardize processes, manage client work with confidence, and ensure nothing slips through the cracks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Financial Cents?

Integrations are straightforward, and although they could be expanded, the existing functionality works well with most workflows. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
