## Final Cut Pro X Reviews
  ### 1. An Outstanding Program for making school news videos

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2019

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

The magnetic timeline allows me to make quick edits and pull together news segments for the Georgia Tech communications department in a matter of minutes!

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

It’s a behemoth program that uses a lot of power. It can be very difficult to use other programs simultaneously, such as Safari or Mail.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Final Cut Pro allows me to speed up my post-production editing times and become more efficient with my file organization. This has been incredibly useful when producing videos for our Daily Digest, which demands frequent and fast video content.

  ### 2. Great for beginners!

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 05, 2019

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

I really enjoyed how straight forward FCP is. Not only do they have a beautiful layout for creating videos, but they make the process so simple. the snapping tool from bringing each video in place right after the previous one is one of my favorite functions. Also, I really enjoy all the short cuts they offer on FCP is makes editing so much faster. it does not take very long to get a full understanding of the application, so I would recommend it to someone trying to get involved in video production on a small scale.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

I do not like how you are limited with your editing and text tools. The ability to put titles and whatnot is great but I wish there was a little more creativity when it comes to these aspects. Also, there is only so much you can do through time and eventually you will grow out of the program if you are trying to become a better video producer.

**Recommendations to others considering Final Cut Pro X:**

I recommend this application if you are just not getting started with everything. other than that its average/good at best. If you want a lot of power in editing your videos you will not be able to utilize this program effectively.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are solving the short clip video production. We are also using it to edit our videos for underwater and any video we make that will be posted to our social media.

  ### 3. Future of NLEs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maciek K. | Filmmaker, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 11, 2019

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

FCPX is very polar amongst the post-production circles because it is the first NLE to take on this shape and push the industry beyond the status quo. Apple have taken many risks with FCPX, which was seen when the NLE first launched to a lot of negative feedback. I wasn't too sure about FCPX when it first came out, but listening to a few episodes of Chris Fenner's podcast, Final Cut Pro Grill, pushed me over the edge to give it a try. That was about 4 years ago and ever since then, the ratios of which NLE I use are largely dominated by FCPX. I find the workflow in the application to be much faster than in any other current NLE. I can access my footage and elements quickly, insert them into the timeline without shuffling the whole project around and continue my work. The thing I like best about FCPX is it gets out of my way and allows me to do my job.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

If you've ever used an NLE before, it will take you a while to adjust to the ways FCPX work. If you ever used FCPX classic, the shortcuts are largely the same which is a nice helper in the transition.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

By being able to work faster, I can earn more money by being able to turn around projects in a shorter amount of time. Clients like it too, because they get to be more involved in the process because of how quickly I can work.

  ### 4. Amazing video editing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jared M. | Copywriter, Marketing and Advertising, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 20, 2019

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

It is easy to get information on YouTube

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

My storage get filled very very quickly!

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Learning hotel to use it is easy

  ### 5. A decent editor but too limited for professional use

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Craig G. | Manager, Broadcast and Video Production, Sports, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 04, 2019

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

If you're somewhere in between a basic editor and a professional, this fact rate software offers a great array of features for more in depth projects

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

For pro projects there is simply not enough control and a lack of organization

**Recommendations to others considering Final Cut Pro X:**

I think if you're looking for a step up from iMovie this is the right product for you. But anyone looking to be a professional editor has to be using either Adobe or Avid

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used to use FCPX as my primary editor in a news setting. This worked okay because the edits being made were less complex and could be cranked out quickly.

  ### 6. Speed. Speed. Speed!!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Motion Pictures and Film | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 27, 2019

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

Let be frank: any NLE software does the same job.
So if you’re an Apple user and you want cut rendering time (well who doesn’t) there are no reasons to edit other software than Apple made FCP X.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

Export option is too limited. But does do the job.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fcp x cut almost half of time in rendering time compared when we used the competitor (A***e P****** Pro)

  ### 7. Such a user friendly program!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2019

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

I like the ease of use and how visually appealing the timeline is. You can see clips of the video within the clips themselves which makes it a lot easier to organize them in the order that you need. The audio as well is very well done on how to move and manipulate it.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

The stabilization function is kind of bad. Unless your camera was already panning or moving, meaning you are not necessarily trying to stabilize a still but shaky shot, this function does not have much use. If you try to stabilize a still shot it gives a "jitter" look to the image.

**Recommendations to others considering Final Cut Pro X:**

Use the trial version first to see if it might be the right fit for you.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating higher quality wedding videos to market my business. It is the sole foundation to what my business relies upon.

  ### 8. Definitely worth the upgrade from iMovie

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Sports | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2019

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

Very intuitive software; has the bells and whistles for advanced editing but buried in a way that it does not intimidate more novice users

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

The spinning wheel of death--despite having a fairly powerful computer, I often get stalled out/the app crashes. Not sure how this gets fixed with large file sizes, but it's frustrating.

**Recommendations to others considering Final Cut Pro X:**

Before investing in a license, I would start with iMovie--your most basic needs can be solved with iMovie. Once you know you will be using video editing software on a regular basis, then upgrade to FCPX.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Advanced video editing for publishing to YouTube

  ### 9. Video Edition with FCP X

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Venture Capital & Private Equity | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 07, 2019

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

It is indeed a very powerful tool for editing video content. A lot of plugins and effects. Must have for a video creator.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

It is extremely expensive. It's way easier to move to other cheap alternatives, than paying to Apple.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am doing and creating a new video for my company. It is an essential tool for designing company.

  ### 10. Final Cut Pro Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Religious Institutions | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2019

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

The best thing about Final Cut Pro is the ease of use . There are endless project timelines the last video I did had 13 layers and final cut was a champ.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

The 1 negative about final cut is the size of projects. A 90min Video shot in 1080p raw format will eat up 13-15GB of harddrive so you will need an external or offsite storage

**Recommendations to others considering Final Cut Pro X:**

vv Cut Pro is the best video editing software on the market.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Final Cut makes our weekly video look professional and clean. The number one benefit is how easy it is to use.

  ### 11. Final Cut is easy to use

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Religious Institutions | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2019

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

I've been using Final Cut for 6 years. I prefer it over its competitors because I can quickly edit and produce a final product. The best part of Final Cut is its keyframe feature. Final Cut is able to smoothly calculate transitions for one keyframe to another. Final Cut is great for beginners.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

Final Cut may not be as stable as its competitors. My Final Cut Pro X software crashes frequently, for no apparent reason.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I produce weekly church announcements for my church using Final Cut. I am able to deliver a professional product every week on time.

  ### 12. Flawed but Works

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Media Production | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 11, 2019

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

Easy to use on Mac, lots of built in customization.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

Isn’t always user friendly, can be hard to maneuver.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating quick content videos.

  ### 13. LOVE FCP!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shaunna C. | Communications and Resource Development Assistant, Public Relations and Communications, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 19, 2019

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

FCP is so easy to use. At first I was a little annoyed at how much the upgrade resembled iMovie but I do now see the value in the restructuring. It's a little more user friendly which most Apple programs tend to be.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

At the moment the only thing I can think of is how much RAM is required to run FCP on my laptop is pretty consuming although I assume most people are using it on a desktop and won't run into this issue.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This program has helped us create professional video packages for fundraising and our website.

  ### 14. Off The Tracks: the only way to go

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Animation | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 28, 2019

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

Final Cut Pro X redefined the video editing paradigm. The track-less timeline and magnetic options are the best and more logical way to edit.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

I wish I can run it on iOS devices or at least have a better support when it comes to tablets use.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I create, organize and deliver my videos using solely FCPX. I don’t need third party plugins or extensions in order to read and export video codecs.

  ### 15. Easy to use and provides professional quality

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Museums and Institutions | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 29, 2019

  ### 16. Good video editing software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** September 23, 2019

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

It's easy to use. Have loads of options for video editing.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

It is quite costly and only works within a certain operating system.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Editing videos seamlessly.

  ### 17. Benefits of final cut

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cheyanne B. | Chey, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 16, 2019

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

Final Cut Pro is so easy to use once you get used to it. I am able to edit videos and Audio very simply to use for our company. The options are endless.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

Sometimes when you try and blend more than 3 audio clips they disappear.

**Recommendations to others considering Final Cut Pro X:**

There are so many options in video editing, try them all. Do not blend more than 3 audio clips without saving first.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to make video edits and advertisements for the company.

  ### 18. Final Cut Pro X has come a long way, and just keeps getting better

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael B. | Video Editor / Videographer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 03, 2019

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

This is by far the best NLE software. I have used many different editing / post-production programs and this one is my favorite. It's simple enough to get something done fast, and advanced enough to do masking and keying when required.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

Collaborating with Premiere Pro users is probably the most frustrating thing. It requires third-party software to import an XML from them.

**Recommendations to others considering Final Cut Pro X:**

Definitely give it a try. I have used AVID, Sony Vegas, Premiere Pro, and Final Cut Pro X has my vote.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We get videos edited in a fast timeframe. The way it can render in the background while continuing to work is great!

  ### 19. A complex video editor with many features and intuitive controls

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Val G. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 03, 2018

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

I really like the controls of Final Cut Pro X, which allow users to easily add clips to the timeline by dragging and dropping them, adjust clip lengths by clicking and dragging endpoints, and applying effects by dragging the effect right onto clips. The effects controls are relatively straightforward and provide the user with simple sliders and number inputs. Rendering and saving videos is easy. You're given many different options for setting the dimensions and file types of the final video.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

As it's widely considered to be professional video editing software used by many studios, Final Cut Pro X can be very difficult to use when it comes to more advanced editing. I find the auto-save function to be a bit confusing. I'd rather save files whenever I want to save them. That way, if I don't want to apply any of the changes I worked on, I can just close the project without saving to revert it back to its original state.

**Recommendations to others considering Final Cut Pro X:**

To get the most out of Final Cut Pro X, you might want to consider taking some online video courses to get better acquainted with all the available tools before getting started. That way you don't waste your time on processes that may be easier using certain tools you're not aware of.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Final Cut Pro X allows me to quickly edit video clips so that they are more watchable and appropriate for certain platforms. For example, I can edit a 5-minute video down to 30 seconds for a social media video ad. I can also add effects like stabilization by just setting a few parameters. Though training and a deep understanding of video production can help, it isn't necessary to create quality video with FCP.

  ### 20. Easy, clean cut, straight forward

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ciera C. | Freelance Trending Writer, Publishing, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 25, 2019

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

I was surprised at how easy it was to pick up on keyboard shortcuts!

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

Exporting final product is kind of confusing and I have to do it multiple times occasionally. Could be a personal computer problem.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our main benefit is it’s easy to learn so our entire team is able to use it quickly and we are efficiently able to produce content.

  ### 21. Beet editing software

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 07, 2019

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

What I like best about final cut pro is it ease-of-use it can be used even by non editors in the film project by anyone on set who owns a laptop/PC

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

What I dislike is that it is a bit time consuming so it requires a lot of time to make each cut

**Recommendations to others considering Final Cut Pro X:**

Use this software if you have a PC instead of a Mac

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The business problem we are selling with Final Cut Pro is the precision of each cut we are making to eat shot we are taking on camera and the many effects we can implement on each shot

  ### 22. Solid performance

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris W. | Director of Bands, Education Management, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2018

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

I like the integration of my other apps best

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

I dont like the fact that I am still learning the newer system after years of using the original versions, but the improvements are fantastic.

**Recommendations to others considering Final Cut Pro X:**

If you are new to editing its great-If you are using another editor you may want to look at the learning curve before making the jump.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it for video editing for my real estate listings as well as some promotional and event videography.

  ### 23. Inexpensive video editing software

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2018

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

simple to understand, and easy to use, with professional results.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

The "upgrade" to FCP-X was a step back in many of the professional needs that were in FCP 7. Apple has taken strides to improve and replace some of those missing abilities. (example: they have put back the ability to import digital video tapes, but only in long form and the software no longer recognizes the "start/stop markers" will not allow "log and capture". "Batch Capture" only separates clips on time-code breaks (which most professionals avoided, so that they could "log and capture").

**Recommendations to others considering Final Cut Pro X:**

It is a lower priced editing suite, and you own the software, rather than leasing it as with Adobe Premiere and others.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is a video editing system that I can use on the fly for small productions.

  ### 24. Great Product for Professional Filmmakers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Media Production | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 27, 2018

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

I like that there are so many shortcuts and ways to speed up your workflow with FCP which is critical. It is also extremely easy to install plug ins and effects to boost your video to the next level. Unlike other programs, it constantly saves your work so if you accidentally close out of it or something crashes, you don't have to worry about your work being lost.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

The only thing I dislike is that Final Cut Pro is only available on Apple computers from my understanding.

**Recommendations to others considering Final Cut Pro X:**

Great software for people that are serious about filmmaking.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to make beautiful films and corporate videos with Final Cut Pro X which is my livelihood. I have complete control of the video and can turn simple raw footage into a professional film.

  ### 25. Final Cut Pro X is my favourite video software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Larry C. | Senior Cloud Operations Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 23, 2018

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

I really like that I don't need the latest and greatest Mac to run the latest and greatest version of FCPX. It can handle large and small projects with ease.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

The only gripe I have with FCPX is really more related to my MacBook Pro's 13" screen. Sometimes when I have a really large layering of clips in the timeline, I would like to see the timeline and preview side by side instead of top and bottom. I don't always work where I have access to external screens, so this would be helpful on some projects.

**Recommendations to others considering Final Cut Pro X:**

FCPX is an excellent choice and I think it is easier to learn than some other popular software.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I get to be as creative as I want with my film and documentary projects using FCPX.

  ### 26. Best Video Editing Software Available

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 26, 2018

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

Final cut pro has extensive features which make video editing much easier and refined. For anybody looking to get into professional grade video editing, this is a must have software

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

Nothing to dislike, user friendly interface for a software that usually has a more difficult interface.

**Recommendations to others considering Final Cut Pro X:**

Worth learning to use this software. Very intuitive and features are endless. Must be willing to learn as it can be confusing but this is only due to the amount of features available

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Currently using in my aerial photography/videography business. Realtors love high quality aerial images and videos, and with the use of final cut pro, it drives my content to a level of refined videography with high quality edits.

  ### 27. Green screen

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Sports | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2019

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

The way it organizes the clips is really easy to tag and find things later.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

I wish it would
Let me export a “digital download” type
Movie file
That played like a dvd would and has a menu but that was downloadable.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Getting a video to clients without paying adobe a monthly fee.

  ### 28. High Quality Video Editor with a Low Impact Price

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jacob G. | Graphic Artist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 24, 2018

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

The user-friendly interface and smooth rendering features help push FCPX way ahead of its predecessors. The background rendering is truly spectacular for streamlining the video editing process. From dragging and dropping clips, making selections, and exporting videos, FCPX makes the whole process plain and simple. The built-in transitions and effects are far more customizable than in previous versions of the product, and very high quality. I've so far had tremendous success implementing third-party effects and transitions as well.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

The learning curve is a bit steep, especially if you're used to old versions of FCP or Adobe Premiere. I found the magnetic timeline especially frustrating to work with at first until I learned to work with it. I wish there were more export options. Unfortunately, Compressor is needed in conjunction with FCPX in order to achieve certain compression requirements.

**Recommendations to others considering Final Cut Pro X:**

FCPX assumes the user has some basic video editing skills. Even if you don't, with a little time and training you can pick it up, but the learning curve can be steep.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

FCPX cuts to the top of the competition by providing a background rendering function that takes the wait time out of video rendering. High-quality videos are ready to export in no time. FCPX also makes it quick and easy to share compatible videos on social media. The magnetic timeline is frustrating at first, but a boon once you learn to work with it.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Zach M. | Senior Copywriter / Creative Director, Entertainment, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 19, 2018

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

Final Cut X is lightening fast and easy to use. If you’re someone who doesn’t like jumping into multiple programs to get a job done, consider Final Cut. There is nothing missing from this program that others have and any complaints are by users who don’t like change.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

There should be a tracker in final cut that is as good as the one in after effects.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Editing is a big part of my business and final cut is my go to.

  ### 30. Final Cut Pro X - An Editing Software for Everyone

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Charlie S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2018

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

FCPX is a great tool for all editors. Although it does lack some features that other software includes, FCPX has an amazing set of tools, like the chroma keyer, that out of the box does an awesome job. Final Cut Pro X shines in it's ability to package files and keep the entire workspace organized. It is a very fast software and handles video editing very well. Apple consistently updates the software and is very attentive to any bug reports and solving them. I highly recommend FCPX for editing.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

Final Cut's Multicam features are a bit lacking. In addition, the user interface seems a bit too much like iMovie. It does not really feel like a professional editing software like FCP7 did. Some of the transitions and effects aren't exactly "professional" quality and seem more like a cheap slideshow transition/effect.

**Recommendations to others considering Final Cut Pro X:**

If you like iMovie, you will probably enjoy FCPX. FCPX is a great piece of software and is extremely powerful. I love using it for smaller projects where I don't need a ton of customization. Manual controls and customization are probably better on other pieces of software, but for the price of FCPX you can't go wrong. (And you pay once to own the software forever!)

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One business problem that FCPX solved was sharing files. FCPX has a wonderful file system that allows me to bundle everything I want and share it with other editors, clients, etc.

  ### 31. A complete and intuitive video editor for simple and complex video projects

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Goods | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 11, 2018

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

I like that Final Cut Pro X has easy-to-use controls that are very streamlined for repetitive video editing processes. There are many dragging features that allow us to quickly move clips around and adjust their lengths without minimal keystrokes and clicking. The effects that are built in to Final Cut Pro give me all the main tools needed to produce most all of our videos. We can add smooth transitions, titles and stabilization to give our videos a professional look without much effort.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

Using Final Cut Pro for more advanced editing may require much more training to produce a quality video. Things like masking, which is very necessary for us in some situations, can be very hard to do and time consuming. I think things like that require advanced graphic design and drawing skills. Also, the price of FCPX is quite high compared to other common video editors on the market.

**Recommendations to others considering Final Cut Pro X:**

I'd strongly recommend Final Cut Pro X if you plan to work with video often and need the have the capability to do advanced editing. However, you can probably get by with using a basic Microsoft video editor for simply cutting clips and adding background music. If you do edit lots of video, then Final Cut Pro X should definitely worth it in the long run, regardless of the complexity of your videos.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Final Cut Pro has been a useful tool for creating a wide array of videos that we can use on our website, Facebook page and presentations (both in-person and online). When we need to demonstrate something visual for a group of people, using FCPX to edit video is a dependable way to get it done quickly. Once they've learn the basic controls, most people on our staff that use FCPX have been able to work with it very comfortably.

  ### 32. Love this program

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kendra N. | Business Relationship Manager, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 26, 2018

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

Final cut pro was so much easier to learn than Premiere. Apple products, they’re just more intuitive, it feels like. I think for most freelancers FcP is the way to go. And, ill say it. I love the magnetic timeline...

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

Sometimes, i get this glithch, where my primary timeline acts like a secondary timeline. Its weird because mid project, itll just, correct itself. A tad frustrating

**Recommendations to others considering Final Cut Pro X:**

If yoore runnjng a mac and want the Macbook Pro of softwares, Final Cut Pro Cc is the way to go. There are a few things to get used to other programs dont have, bur its really quite helpful once you embrace it.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Making fast and awesome marketing ads for business in town.

  ### 33. Quality Video editing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Religious Institutions | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 24, 2019

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

The most helpful thing about Final Cut Pro is the super user friendly interface and instructional videos you can find on it.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

I dislike how larger projects can sometimes bog it down pretty bad.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quick video editing

  ### 34. An advanced video editing platform with smooth controls

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Goods | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 05, 2018

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

Since I used to use iMovie to edit personal videos, I liked that Final Cut Pro X had similar controls that I could use for editing professional business videos. The layout of the FCP is very neat and makes it easy for the user to move from one function to another. I can easily drag clips to the main stage, then browse for effects and drag them into whatever clips I want. I also like how FCP can save to very customized dimensions and file formats. We can format our videos to fit many different types of media platforms. It's very versatile.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

If your computer is not equipped with a fast processor and high capacity RAM, Final Cut Pro X can be very laggy to work with. Rendering and export video clips, even with higher end computer setups, can take a long time. We sometimes need to make very simple edits, like clipping a second or two off the end of a video, but exporting the file requires a full export, which can be very time consuming.

**Recommendations to others considering Final Cut Pro X:**

When starting out with Final Cut Pro X, I'd suggest using templates and plugins to help get your projects going. They can save you a bunch of time by establishing a general look and feel for the videos that you can just expand on. Over time, you'll likely be able to learn more about FCP through simply adjusting template settings.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Final Cut Pro X has been great for all types of video editing. We can quickly add smooth transitions, text captions and stabilization in just a few steps. The quality of the videos is much smoother and more professional than lots of other similar video editor I've seen out there. Of course, the final quality depends a great deal on the skills of the person editing, but for basic default effects like transitions and captions, I find that FCP has been easier to work with and produced great results. The videos we created helped to bring and maintain a professional image for our brand.

  ### 35. Quick and intuitive software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Isabel W. | Designer and Co-Manager, Apparel & Fashion, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2018

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

The interface is so clean and easy to use. I love the dark aesthetic of the interface, and the range of things you can do to make your video exactly how you want it to be. Using this software was completely natural. I am an intermediate user of the software, and I was able to teach my coworkers the basics (and even slightly more advanced) features of Final Cut Pro X!

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

It might be my non-expert level of use, but I get confused with the difference between "Event"/"Project"/"Library" folders in the application. It always works itself out, but I would like a more intuitive difference between the 3 folder subcategories.

**Recommendations to others considering Final Cut Pro X:**

YouTube tutorials are a great resource for truly mastering this software! There are endless possibilities with this software, and you can use it successfully as a complete beginner or a professional video editor.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I collaborated with 3 coworkers on editing an alcohol awareness video for college students. This software made the project super easy because it was easy to transfer our work from computer to computer and share ideas, and mark sections that needed work!

  ### 36. Great if you’ve done everything you can do with iMovie

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steve T. | Work Study, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2019

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

The effect filters are great and most of them you can customize to your liking

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

There aren’t more customization options with everything

**Recommendations to others considering Final Cut Pro X:**

Go with it after you get comfortable with iMovie

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

You can export directly to websites like Vimeo

  ### 37. Best movie production software!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 05, 2018

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

I use Final cut to edit all of my videos. It by far is one of the best softwares offered for movie/video production. I love how it comes with all of the different transitions, text themes, and more, which usually don't come included in a lot of other movie suites.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

I wish apple made the price a lot cheaper. A lot of people could use the software to help bring their business to the next level, but just cant afford it, so making the price a little cheaper would benefit so many.

**Recommendations to others considering Final Cut Pro X:**

I would take some training courses online, especially if you are coming from iMovie (Apple's Free video editing software), or other programs like Adobe Premier, or Power Director,

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of the biggest issues I solved with final cut is how im able to export in so many different formats, which on a lot of other programs, you are limited too.

  ### 38. High quality, versatile video editing - great alternative to Adobe Premiere Pro

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 03, 2019

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

I love the match audio and match color functions. It is able to instantly align an audio track from an external microphone with the track right off the camera. This helps me easily produce music videos and all clips that I recorded with an external microphone.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

I dislike the lack of options when using the Keyer plugin for green screens. Sometimes it is very hard to get the most accurate grasp of the green tint.

**Recommendations to others considering Final Cut Pro X:**

Very user-friendly and offers versatile options for editing video and producing media.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Promotional video production for the institution.

  ### 39. It was okay!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 06, 2019

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

Easy to learn, hard to master. If someone wasn't telling me what to do I would have no idea.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

As a beginner I don't know much, but it is hard to learn unless someone is looking right over you telling you what to do.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating visual content. The final products are really great but it takes a long time to get there.

  ### 40. Best interface for video production

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 03, 2019

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

I like how easy it into import videos and add them to timeline. I also like the timeline and how it layers. The edits are easy to use as well

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

The download time when finished take so so long.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use final cut tyo create promotional videos

  ### 41. A smooth and intuitive high end video editor

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Otis B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 19, 2018

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

I like being able to quickly cut clips with my mouse cursor and drag the clips around in the timeline. Unlike some other similar programs, Final Cut Pro X can to a good job of snapping adjacent clips together as you position them in the timeline. This really helps to finish project more quickly. There are a massive amount of effects that allow you to do things like correct color, resize, and change the speed of the clips you add. There are extensive sound editing tools to help sharpen up your sound to make your overall video more professional. Even if you have low quality sound from the poor microphones, Final Cut Pro X has tools that can help you to greatly improve sound quality.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

As an advanced video editor. Final Cut Pro X can take a great deal of time to learn. Creating video that are actually watchable and professional isn’t really an easy thing. When you start out using Final Cut Pro X, you're going to be presented with several workspace windows, which can be overwhelming. Learning how to manage the different windows and the tool inside them will take some time. Once you do learn how to use everything, you can actually run through your editing very quickly.

**Recommendations to others considering Final Cut Pro X:**

Final Cut Pro X is one of the more powerful programs in the Mac software library. Compared to Adobe Premiere Pro, I think that using the slice tool, which is one of the most common tools you'll use, is more intuitive and can help you to piece your videos together more quickly. However, some people might find the precision of Adobe Premiere Pro to be more to their liking - as I do sometimes. So you should definitely give both of these programs a try.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can put together quick corporate videos that are professional just by adding simple graphics and transitions. Using the basic features of Final Cut Pro X is actually not that complicated after maybe an hour or two of training. If you need to get an inexperienced user to come in and cut video and maybe lay down some background music, that actually won't take a long time to do. As far as more advanced features, we can do things like stabilize video and correct many of the problems that come with recording with lower end equipment.

  ### 42. Powerful editing program

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 24, 2018

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

Ease of use, compatibility with a variety of files. Frequent updates that improve the user experience and add useful features.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

The transition from the older version was not an easy one the whole layout of the program was completely different and it is not compatible with older project files,

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Final Cut Pro X is a low cost solution for our business that allows us to use cutting edge software and keep costs low for our clients. Ease of use with motion is also a huge help.

  ### 43. Final Cut Pro X

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** karan datt v. | Quality Assurance Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 20, 2018

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

The best Video editing software that I've ever used:
- As it was created just for Mac, it makes it very efficient to use on MacOS.
- The Video editing tools are pretty easy as Apple tends to design products which are easy to use or their customers.
- Great light and color correction.
- A large number of plug-ins.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

Cons:
- Works pretty slow when working on a large file, like 4K.
- It's bad that it runs only on Apple machines.
- Needs a redesigned UI.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

To create small videos for our marketing campaigns, covering events and product launches.

  ### 44. Final Cut Pro X is easy to use for beginner film makers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Li-ann S. | Media Manager , Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2018

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

I like how easy it is to use, to edit and cut videos. Its quick and efficient and pretty straight forward.
It also allows the final video to be shared to a social media platform.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

I would like some more natural filters, and not ones that look cheap.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It saves time because its so simple to use; I'm able to manage my time and priorities well, without spending hours doing one thing.

  ### 45. Final Cut Pro Review

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Printing | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 13, 2018

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

It's easy for short, uncomplicated promo videos. You just drag and drop things in.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

The interface is not very appealing for more complicated editing or longer video cuts with a lot of layers. It would be easier if it were put together more like Adobe Premiere, where you didn't have to view all the layers at once. Also, I don't like many of the built in transitions, so I would recommend downloading new ones and using those. Working with transition timing is also kind of annoying on this program.

**Recommendations to others considering Final Cut Pro X:**

I would recommend this to marketing departments who are making short videos for marketing purposes. If you are making more complicated videos that have to do with your main content on your website or your products, I would go with another program. If you do use FCP X, I would find other transitions and effects to use other than the built in ones.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I make promo videos for our products as well as other marketing videos. It's easy to just throw together a little video clip for marketing purposes, but if I'm doing more complicated editing for some of the content on our website, it gets a little tedious and annoying.

  ### 46. high quality videos created on low budget

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Sports | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 17, 2018

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

Love how user friendly the program is and enables small athletic departments to create high quality videos on a tight budget and littler personnel

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

Don't like certain updates Final Cut made once it transitioned to Pro X... took a little time to transition to the new way the timeline worked as well as other effects

**Recommendations to others considering Final Cut Pro X:**

For those looking for a low-cost video production software, I'd highly recommend purchasing Final Cut Pro X. Very user friendly and helps facilitate a highly-polished finished product.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Enables companies on tight budgets to purchase a video editing program at a relatively low cost and create high quality videos that look as if we hired a 3rd party to create.

  ### 47. Weekly original long from video production for the web.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jonathan D. | Associate Director for Media Ministries, Religious Institutions, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 01, 2018

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

Final Cut Pro X is a easy to learn and easy to use video production application. It is so solidly developed, we have yet to experience any significant issues in our production model. From importing a 60gb file, processing the video, adding lower thirds, and exporting mixed media, everything just works.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

I do wish the export options were updated a little more often to keep up with the online options, but when the updates do come, they work 100%.

**Recommendations to others considering Final Cut Pro X:**

Final Cut is cheaper, and has better customer support than Premier. No recurring monthly or annual renewal costs to budget for.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Final Cut Pro X has made the weekly processing of hour long video content simple and straightforward. We are able to take files directly from our Capture System of Video Devices Pix 260 decks, process the files on the very SSD's that the content was recorded to, and return the media back to the production line in less than a day.

  ### 48. For Video Projects of All Sizes

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris D. | Student and Family Minister, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 10, 2018

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

The tools are simple, but powerful. Things like keying, color correction, and compositing take almost no time. I've been really pleased with how easy it is to drop elements into the timeline. Often I find myself needing to replace single clips in a nearly completed project, and Final Cut Pro X makes it very easy to do that without otherwise destroying my timeline.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

I wish that Motion was still included with Final Cut as a package. Sometimes content management is not as intuitive as it could be. Overall, though, there isn't much to dislike.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I create daily instructional videos for use by middle and high school aged students. I also regularly record and edit weddings, memorial services, church events, and other special events.

  ### 49. Final Cut Pro X is my favorite video editing software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Raina L. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 28, 2018

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

What I like best about Final Cut Pro X is how seamless it is to use. If you've ever used iMovie, you're in luck -- this software is very reminiscent of that one, as they're both made by Apple. I've used Apple products all my life and prefer their products over anyone else's. The same goes for their softwares. They're so easy to use, beautiful to look at, and powerful for creation.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

Although there aren't many things I dislike about this software, I would say that I dislike how cluttered my libraries can get when I'm working with a lot of footage.

**Recommendations to others considering Final Cut Pro X:**

Be creative with it. There are so many things you can do with this software, so try not to just do the minimum. Let your creativity shine and try out all of the features, such as using the keyer to incorporate green screens, something I enjoy doing very much.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Final Cut Pro X is benefitting business by providing creators with the simplest editing software. You can also get more creative with Final Cut as opposed to other softwares I've used, because it's so much easier to do what you envision to do in your video.

  ### 50. Bringing Ideas To Life

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2018

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

Very precise and detailed program. Able to handle large video files. I like that you can edit each frame's saturation, contrast, brightness, etc. Good for layering audio levels as well. I'm very impressed with the quality of the videos, and the saving options. For example, you can save a version compatible specifically for Youtube.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

Hard to save. I always get scared my hours of work will be lost. Exporting the file takes a long time and it's a very large file so it's not easy to keep saving. Program takes up much of a computer's memory space.

**Recommendations to others considering Final Cut Pro X:**

View online video tutorials and/or have a peer walk you through it if it's your first time using it. You'll thank yourself for that patience later. Take time to explore all different features and play around with it before creating your first project. Final Cut X is my go-to for video editing that looks professional and aesthetically pleasing. I highly recommend.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating quality, professional videos with plenty of detailed options to choose from. Takes some time to adjust if it's your first time video editing, but it's very easy to get into a good rhythm with Final Cut X and feel comfortable with it. I don't have to hire a video editor - now I can do it myself and trust the quality.
