## Final Cut Pro X Reviews
  ### 1. Pro Video Editing Tool With Clean Layout

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ali A. | eCommerce virtual assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 15, 2022

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

Final Cut Pro X has an easy-to-understand UI. The exporting time of FC Pro is way better than Premiere Pro. It has got many free plugins available on the internet which you can use to enhance the software's functionality.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

The tool is only available for macOS. It should be available for Windows too because some users can't shift to mac so it will be great. Tutorial videos for more complex functions of the software should be provided by the company for users.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it to edit commercial video ads.

  ### 2. Slight advantages over Adobe Premiere

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2021

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

I love the breadth of choices for transitions and effects. Final Cut Pro is among the top two choices, the other one being Adobe Premiere, and in my opinion (and the opinions of my team), the videos made with Final Cut Pro simply look a little more polished/better than those built with Adobe.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

When changing the speed of a video clip, I hate that there is no way to keep the linked text elements from moving around. Not sure why Final Cut Pro removed the function to automatically upload to Vimeo, but I REALLY miss that ability.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I create tons of training videos and orientation videos for our healthcare clients. With Final Cut Pro, I am able to churn these videos out very quickly and efficiently. For those trying to use cheaper tools (such as iMovie or Windows Movie Maker), doing lots of videos will drive you crazy.

  ### 3. The industry standard for video editing software

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jose R. | Marketing Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

Getting started with Final Cut is pretty easy for such a powerful app. Their intuitive video timeline and library management system make it a breeze to do simple edits on video. However, the real power of Final Cut begins to shine when delving deeper into some of the product's features. There is definitely no shortage of things to learn when using Final Cut, and the app will do its best to guide you through every part of the process.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

Adobe premiere may have more advanced effects capabilities than Final Cut without the use of plugins. The software offers a high upfront cost, but this is preferable to me because it is a one-time price model and you own the product in perpetuity rather than having to pay a subscription.

**Recommendations to others considering Final Cut Pro X:**

Runs best on newer Mac hardware

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Final cut pro allows me to juggle between large video projects with ease, making it easy to label and manage my clips and drag and drop them to create the best final product possible. Final cut also allows me to use green screen backgrounds easily.

  ### 4. Pro Editing Tool For Pros

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Salmaan H. | Freelancer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 09, 2022

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

You don't need to pay monthly subscription costs like Premiere Pro. If you don't want to create custom animation designs, be it for any purpose which is always very time-consuming, then you can pick up a template that someone has already made on the internet and skip the efforts. It has many features that one can use to edit videos professionally.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

The software should also be made available for Windows because there are a lot of editors that prefer to use Windows over Mac

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it for editing videos of my clients on Fiverr, Upwork, Freelancer, and Peopleperhour.

  ### 5. FINAL CUT PRO X REVIEW

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anil Kumar S. | Proprietor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2022

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

Final Cut Pro X is a Beginner Friendly Video Editing Software and it is very easy to learn the basics of Final Cut Pro while learning video editing as it's UI is clutter free and everything is sorted amazingly.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

The formats in which videos are exported are not always supported by other Windows PC/Laptops or TVs, as Final Cut Pro X is a software based on Apple Ecosystem.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I edit videos on Final Cut ProX which helps me and my company to make films, documentary films, shortfilms, Ad. Films, Music Videos etc for clients, be it Government organizations or Private Firms.

  ### 6. If you're looking to upgrade from iMovie, Final Cut Pro is it!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amna K. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2021

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

I use to use iMovie for all my video editing, even merging music together, but after a while, I wished I could do more with my videos. I wanted to add text over the video and use cooler transitions. Final Cut Pro was the best program to switch over to. The functionalities were very similar so there was a smaller learning curve, but now I can use effects I downloaded and there's MUCH more you can do with it. I'm still learning everything there is, but my videos have much more character to them I've also used Movavi but I hated how you can't use your own effects and only purchase it through them.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

I think the price point was the biggest downside to it. I thought 100x before I purchased it -- $300 is a lot for a program. But in all honesty, after using it for a few months, it was worth it. I wish I bought it sooner, actually.

**Recommendations to others considering Final Cut Pro X:**

I recommend Final Cut Pro if you're looking for easy video editing software. I've used other programs, but this was the easiest to learn.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can make my videos more personalized and add my own personal touch to them -- which I love.

  ### 7. Final Cut Pro is PROfessional, yet Simplified!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 08, 2021

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

Final Cut Pro is a powerful editing tool that allows us to import all of our raw files and compile them seamlessly. It is simple to use even with multiple cameras and mics. The magnetic timeline is a neat feature!

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

Final Cut Pro uses a TON of storage for its projects. My team is dealing with having to expand server storage and buy SSDs in bulk since switching to Final Cut. We literally fill a 2TB SSD or HD in just 2-3 months of work!

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As we have Mac computers, Final Cut Pro is the best option for my team. The rendering and load times are pretty fast, which allows the project to get done expediently in a pinch.

  ### 8. Quickest and Best on the Market

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Harrison W. | Senior Member Services Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2021

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

The speed and efficiency of my edits and the magnetic timeline reduce errors in my edits. The software is very forward-thinking and works very well on Mac computers.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

I dislike the reputation Final Cut Pro X editors get for utilizing this software. It has every advanced feature as the other non-linear editors, but high-end editors don't respect it.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I solve storytelling problems by editing various angles into one cohesive vision. I benefit from the speed and magnetic timeline that Final Cut Pro X has built in.

  ### 9. The best video editing software for beginner to intermediate editors

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marlee J. | Senior Director of Marketing, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 18, 2021

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

Easy to learn, easy to use! Final Cut X opened up their doors for so many new customers when they took the ease-of-use features from iMovie and incorporated them into version X. Even for editors who are past the beginner stage, Final Cut X still allows me to do everything I need to. You can use it at a surface level or go more advanced if you choose.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

There are definitely some things that you just can't do in Final Cut X, as compared to Premiere. But there are different products for every level of consumer, and that's why I'd say this product isn't for the editor with advanced projects.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Solves all of my video editing needs for social media content.

  ### 10. An amazing video editing software that I use time and time again

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emily F. | Content Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 30, 2021

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

Relatively simple to use, but has so many features that can make my videos the best that they can be.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

There are a lot of add-ons needed to get your video looking absolutely amazing.

**Recommendations to others considering Final Cut Pro X:**

Definitely download the additional add-ons if you plan on doing more complex levels of editing

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

While it's more complex than other (free) video editing software, the quality really is drastically higher than the others.

  ### 11. FCPX

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Broadcast Media | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 07, 2022

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

It used to be very easy and fast to use.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

I didn't like it anymore after it was updated. It was very hard to find the tools I needed with the new layout.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Final Cut Pro X is making it possible for people to edit without needing a subscription.

  ### 12. Intuitive Design

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Writing and Editing | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

As the title suggests, the attribute that Final Cut Pro X most excels in is intuitive design. I have used programs equal in stature but nothing truly compares. It's so good that it's worth buying an iMac for.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

The least helpful thing about Final Cut Pro X is that it's loyalty lies with Apple. I know a lot of people in my field prefer to use Windows, including myself.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's not about the problems I solve with Final Cut Pro X. It's about the biggest problem it solves for me and that's time. With it's intuitive design it allows for me to easily navigate it which overall decreases my work time, allowing me more time to finish other projects.

  ### 13. Can't Recommend this Enough

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Payton W. | Marketing Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 28, 2021

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

- The ease!
- Makes videos look way more professional, especially when adding in third-party plugins and filters
- Export time and effort is so much better
- Multiple export options

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

Nothing - in all honesty. Switching to Final Cut Pro was simple from using iMovie, and made the process really simple.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Video is king, so having software that is simple but makes everything look better is way better.
- Producing video for our business has allowed us a much further reach.

  ### 14. Huge Upgrade - Professional Videos

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Spencer W. | Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 17, 2022

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

- The ease, if you've ever used iMovie, then transitioning here is a breeze.
- The capabilities. They are amazing! I love everything about FCPX

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

- Nothing really. As I get better with editing, I see the difference using Premier vs FCPX, but that's a 1% difference to my clients.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Creating Youtube Videos
- Creating client videos
- Making videos with more transitions.

  ### 15. High-performance video editing and post-production

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 21, 2021

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

Apple products have a reputation for good UX and responsiveness. Final Cut X lives up to the reputation. The original Final Cut was the first editing software I learned to use, and the X version kept all the old functionality. This software is flexible enough for non-film projects, such as audio editing, slideshows, and animation. You can do more than one thing at a time.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

Rendering takes a very long time. All functions on your screen pause during rendering, and your PC is a brick. I recommend having a source of entertainment nearby for getting through the slog of rendering, which can last for over an hour. Remember to save before you render. I also preferred the lighter interface of the original Final Cut - this is in dark mode.

**Recommendations to others considering Final Cut Pro X:**

Save your projects regularly.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Final Cut Pro X is an excellent way to edit videos of all types. I've also used it for basic audio mixing.

  ### 16. FCP X Now

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Valentin (Val) S. | Owner / Producer / Director / Editor / Consultant /Trainer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 28, 2018

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

Latest changes are turning this app into a more professional editing system. Especially with threlease of 6.0

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

Learning curve, storage options, naming changes from ones that film pros know to ones only know to developers

**Recommendations to others considering Final Cut Pro X:**

Depending on your user needs, yes

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Transition from FCP 7.03 to AVID to Premiere, DaVinci Resolve. On some projects it's faster.

  ### 17. Excellent NLE for both basic and advanced projects

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Online Media | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2021

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

It's learning curve is quite low. Even if you've never used a video editor before you can learn most of the basic functions within a few days. At the same time, it has the power under the hood to handle advanced projects with features like multi-cam syncing and color wheels.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

Other programs (such as Adobe's Premiere Pro) are used more widely and available for Windows computers as well, which translates to fewer resources and plugins for FCPX as compared to other NLEs.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've used FCPX for all sorts of projects, from quick 30-second social promos to hour-long end-of-season recaps. Always handles it fine.

  ### 18. Awesome video editing software

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Zax A. | Photographer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2021

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

Final cut pro is a significant step up from using default video editing software like iMovie. The interface is very user-friendly, much like all Apple-made user platforms, and being able to create fantastic content on there is incredibly easy if you're trying it out for the first time.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

I'm not a fan of it being nearly $300 for the download. But I do understand why since it's such a powerful video editing tool. You can pay monthly for Adobe Premier / Creative suite for a fraction of the cost and get many more tools at your disposal, but this is the price you pay for top-tier products created by Apple.

**Recommendations to others considering Final Cut Pro X:**

If you have little to no experience with editing videos or have always wanted to learn where to start, this is the best platform for any Mac user to begin with. The interface is very user-friendly and you can effortlessly organize your clips and being sequencing your video within minutes. You will be able to learn how to navigate and use this software simply by opening it up on your computer and playing around, dont be intimidated!

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problems solved are being able to create solid creative content with ease. iMovie is very limited to how far you can actually edit while on your Mac, and if you don't have the creative expertise ot use programs like Adobe Premier, it is the perfect middle ground for somebody looking to learn how to edit their videos from start to finish, and dive into advanced editing features like key framing and title sequencing. The possibilities are endless and it's very easy to keep your projects and files organize and export straight for web/streaming format or for sharing on all social media platforms.

  ### 19. Comprehensive, intuitive, well-documented, and an absolute joy to use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Religious Institutions | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 31, 2021

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

Final Cut Pro X is so well-thought-out and intuitively formed that I can produce very professional-looking projects without an overwhelming commitment of time. It's great to have so many videos available online to help with any issue as well. If I can imagine it (and I can imagine some pretty wild stuff), I can do it.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

We really have to get into the weeds with some pretty nit-picky stuff to get to dislikes. Perhaps the biggest frustration I have is in remembering to delete old rendered files that build up and suck up space on my hard drive.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to produce high-quality, short-form video content that looks great. Going to video as well as audio with our podcast has been greatly facilitated by the ease in which Final Cut can be used to produce a nice end product.

  ### 20. It takes 10 min to learn 10 years to master

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eric S. | Video Producer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2022

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

I love how fast I've become editing with FCPX

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

I wish the audio editing was better + there are better options for text animation within fcpx

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Needed to edit videos for clients. It's simple quick and easy

  ### 21. Final Cut Pro X - Apple's best professional video editing software.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:**  Sumit D. | Visual Effects Artist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

Apple Final Cut Pro X is the best professional video editing software I've ever used in my whole VFX career. I like FCPX because it's effortless to use and make our video edits in less time, and with some powerful tools and plugins, it works the way it should.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

Final Cut Pro X also got few disadvantages, like they only support the mac operating system, which lacks.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It mainly helps me with the faster video editing works, and I also use it for my projects.

  ### 22. Accessible editing software

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Media Production | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

It's interface for quick editing and tools to create videos

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

Don't find the events area for footage to easiest to manage when using a large amount of footage

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A one time payment editing software that allows me to edit videos effectively

  ### 23. Easy and fun to use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 20, 2021

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

Learning Final Cut, was straightforward and seamless. You can connect all Apple apps and products into the program, such as music and any media from phones and tablets. Navigation of the tools makes switching between projects enjoyable and saves time.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

I honestly do not see any downsides to using this program. I think the way to get the most out of Final Cut Pro is to use this program on a Mac instead of a PC for a more seamless experience.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating videos with this program saves me time and allows all volunteers to quickly learn the system and be on the same page for branding and marketing needs.

  ### 24. I love Final cut even more than Premier

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2021

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

I love that the screen is more visual and user friendly

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

It is difficult to upload plugins. not enough templates and sounds

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

making very attractive videos for my brand!

  ### 25. Great application although I do miss FCP 7

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Motion Pictures and Film | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2021

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

It's clean and easy to use, rendering portion is hugely improved. I will say I often miss FCP 7 and was refusing to update my laptop for years just so I can keep it.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

I wish it had as much usability as 7 - it looks cooler sure, but I wish it was actually as functional (and maybe a bit cheaper)

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No problems really. Final cut is a great service that I've used countless times.

  ### 26. Final Cut Pro X Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Albert O. | Real Estate Agent, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 13, 2021

  ### 27. Great, but not as great as previous versions

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elizabeth S. | Freelance Art Director, Designer, Videographer, Animator, and Artist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2021

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

I learned to edit video on Final Cut Pro back in the early '00s, so I'm very familiar with all the shortcuts and can edit quickly with this software. It's pretty intuitive and anyone could learn to use it for basic editing.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

Unfortunatley, those who are familiar with the old versions Final Cut Pro will see that FCPX is less powerful and more trimmed down, evidently to attract more consumers vs. prosumers. It's no longer really an industry standard, and most clients prefer that editors work in Adobe products (Premiere and After Effects) or Avid. If you're looking for an all-in-one solution that will be accepted by more clients and handle graphics needs, this probably isn't your best bet.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For basic video editing, it generally gets the job done with a clean, easy-to-use, and intuitive interface.

  ### 28. Final Cut Pro X is the best movie maker!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Music | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 07, 2021

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

Final Cut Pro X is a phenomenal program that can handle all of my movie-making needs. It's vast editing choices makes it a perfect choice for anyone who wants to produce movies.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

There isn't anything that I dislike about Final Cut Pro X

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Final Cut Pro X is great for making movies. Once you learn the curve, it's definitely an excellent program for all movie editing.

  ### 29. Still one of the best NLE options out there.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

The time and resources need to generate proxy files can be a lot.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

FCPX allows me to import XML projects easily and quickly. When working on a Mac, it's easily the fastest app for video editing.

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

I took a six-hour training program and it was plenty to be able to operate Final Cut Pro to create videos for our social media channels. In addition, it's easy to find how-to videos to learn new skills. I like being able to customize intro and outros.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

You definitely need to at least take an online class to be able to operate Final Cut Pro properly.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm able to create high-quality videos—it's a far better product than Spark and more intuitive than Premiere Pro.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

It's uses lots of storage for 1 project that is bad, I think.

  ### 35. Final Cut Pro for social media

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 09, 2021

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

I think the interface is easy to use, and simple enough to understand. It's well laid out and drag and drop to a certain extent. It was a great tool to start put on when first editing video and understanding how to do things properly.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

I think Premiere is much more advanced, I feel like I can do so much more with effects. The majority of clients I work with expect me to use premiere and specifically ask for me to use it. Final Cut Pro is not the industry standard it's out of date and antiquated. This matters with clients as they sometimes ask for you to send the full file (premiere). I think that Premiere is also much more compatible with not only MAC but also Adobe creative suite, it's easier to have all of your apps in one place and for them to update themselves automatically.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There is a limitation on the plug ins I can use on it, but I really think it's a great platform for those moving on from I movie, do more for beginners. The industry does accept use of Final Cut which is great when working freelance because some clients will ask for you to send them the full file.

  ### 36. Final Cut Editing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in International Trade and Development | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

Final Cut is the best editing software. I love how easy it was to learn, smooth and simple layout with many graphic and desifn options as well.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

Only downfall is that it's a little didficult for file sharing since it's a mac product.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I enjoy being able to easily cut and paste projects when I have multiple videos. I can just create templates within each project.

  ### 37. Easy to use and learn

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David G. | Business Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 18, 2020

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

What I like best is that it is a more robust iMovie. If you are comfortable using iMovie, then you will have no problem utilizing all the tools that Final Cut Pro X has. It is intuitive and easy to use, and if there is something that you are unsure of how to use there is a wealth of information on the internet.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

One of the things that I dislike about it is that it can take a little time to get used to. Once you learn the keyboard shortcuts for tasks that you do often, it drastically cuts down on your editing time.

**Recommendations to others considering Final Cut Pro X:**

Take your time and give it about a week before giving up on it if you are unsure about using it.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problem that is being solved with Final Cut is that I am now able to have professional-looking videos. One of the benefits is that it is a one time purchase versus other video editors and that it has more than enough tools for what I need.

  ### 39. As a Mac user, FCPX is my go-to NLE

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John M. | Convergent Media Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 25, 2020

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

Since I was new to NLEs, simplicity of start up and installation was paramount. I had previously used FCP7, which others in my office compared more favorably to FCPX. I think some of the hesitation on their part was the new workflow and that some features were missing. After successive iterations of FCPX, I felt that it was a superior product to its predecessor.
Living in the Apple ecosphere, this works nicely out of the box. I was able to find additional effects that really enhanced by productions. If you're good at Apple Motion, you can create those, too.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

Minor carping here, but it seems most third-party applications (such as digit-asset managers, servers, and the like), have a bias for Avid or Adobe Premiere Pro, etc. I wish Apple had kept its Final Cut Server current, but I understand the nature of the business. Also, when creating the proxy files in an effort to cut down on local storage and work-from-home bandwidth restrictions, it'd be nice if one could chose the quality (size) of the proxies created. Essentially, it's half-sized, e.g. a 4K video source file ends up as a 2K proxy. That's not very useful for remote work. I've gone in to the proxy, re-rendered it down even smaller, then replaced the proxy and pointers to make this work remotely. That's somewhat of an inconvenience for major productions. And it would be nice to create a "Render Farm" to speed up conversion of files and rendering. All in all, I'm happy with the product and my quibbles don't represent major shortcomings — just "Nice to haves."

**Recommendations to others considering Final Cut Pro X:**

Storage. Video files are large. I recommend, at least, a 500 GB external drive with USB 3.0 connection.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As with many, I'm working from home. Using a VPN connection to DAM, I was able to continue updating projects remotely. As I went along, I learned how to make this work for me in a more-constructive fashion. I like that I can open a new project, drag assets into it, and then render out the product needed for the intended application - be it Web, computer desktop, or HDTV. I haven't tried the 3D editing function yet, but it looks interesting. That does, however, take a lot of processing power.

  ### 40. Features plus simplicity

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Media Production | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 19, 2020

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

I like the simplicity of the interface and I appreciate the more powerful features co-existing in one app. Typically it is one or the other. We can onboard a new editor in FCPx and they are productive within a couple of days thanks to the intuitive Ux. There are also more powerful tools and capabilities that more experienced editors might appreciate. Furthermore, it is lightning fast vs Adobe on the same hardware.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

It is tough to collaborate with other creatives using FCPx. The world has moved on -- mostly to Adobe. A few die-hards have stuck with FCP7, never to receive an update for a new codec. This is a shame. There is nothing inherently wrong with learning to edit on this platform. Apple continues to support it and occasionally improve it.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use FCPx to edit video as a team.

  ### 41. THE powerful video choice for professional and accessible video creation!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael L. | Staff Training & Development Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2020

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

It's logical and powerful. Adobe Premiere Pro is great...but it's not obvious as far as how to use it. You need to watch tutorials or take courses to really become a power user. Final Cut Pro is much more user friendly, it's much easier to figure out how to us the software on your own. Couple that with the fact that you have most of the power features you'd expect in premiere pro, and you have a video editor that is top notch and has the potential to meet all of your needs. Based on these factors alone, I can't recommend Final Cut Pro X enough. You will not be disappointed.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

While it's mostly stable, it does occasionally crash. The best advice (as with just about any video editing software): save often. Just in case. I can say that, while this is occasionally problematic, it is a minor "minus" in the relative scope of how great this product is.

**Recommendations to others considering Final Cut Pro X:**

Test all the major competators out, see what meets your needs. Take a look at Camtasia, Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci, etc.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

FCPX makes it easy to make great videos - it's not as simplistic as something like Camtasia, but it's just as powerful as something like Premiere. It's a great balance of features.

  ### 42. The best video editing tool out there.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2020

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

Final Cut Pro X does not disappoint. It really is easy to use and also supports you as an editor as you grow and learn all of the tips and tricks of the trade. There are so many things that I love about this product it is hard to choose just a few. I love how the software keeps evolving yet does not leave anyone behind who is an old time user. I love the multi cam options for editing. I like the setup for multiple layouts, it is helpful when I am on the go or at my desk with multiple monitors. It also is helpful when your media has issues as well. It will give you a warning that something is not right or to go and fix it. Pretty awesome!

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

There is nothing I dislike about this product. I at first missed having a preview window next to my program window, but I got over that quick and really like the new look now.

**Recommendations to others considering Final Cut Pro X:**

This to me is the one true video editing software. I learn something new every time I use it. I am grateful that my organization purchased it for me to use.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Final Cut X is helping me edit many different types of videos for a range of clients. From small student projects to large presentations, Final Cut X helps me make a really good product for each of these different clients. This tool helps me become a better editor. Every time I use it, I feel like I learn something new and I get to bring that knowledge to my position everyday.

  ### 43. Excellent video editing software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Caleb B. | Design Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 06, 2020

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

I love how easy to use FCP X is. It's incredibly intuitive and easy to learn in my opinion. I've been using FCP for the past 10 years and I'm so glad that I haven't used any other software. It is so optimized for the Mac OS, the software can run very efficiently.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

The worst part about FCP X is that the project files grow incredibly large when it seems like it shouldn't. I've had a project get to more than 1 TB of size and I can't seem to figure out how to delete older renderings of the files. The way it stores files seems to take up an excessive amount of space. But this is only a real problem if you don't have large enough external backups.

**Recommendations to others considering Final Cut Pro X:**

Make sure you used Final Cut Pro with Compressor at least. You will be able to export videos far more efficiently if you use it in conjunction with Apple Compressor.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it mostly for wedding video editing. The benefit I have found is that it is so optimized for MacBooks, I've edited a 2 hour wedding video on a dual core computer. I'm able to do really anything I need to video-wise on Final Cut Pro without any issues.

  ### 44. I use Final Cut Pro X almost every day for Video editing work

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brett H. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 09, 2020

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

I love the way you can manage multipul projects all in one space, the new hardware engine for decoding and rendering is blazing fast with my new computer rig setup. I am able to work much faster and when making edits it pauses renders to give me the fastest preview times.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

Some of the features seem basic, I wish there was more control over Text edits and key stop animations with in fcpx and not having to use Motion for those but an all in one package.

**Recommendations to others considering Final Cut Pro X:**

I would recommend having more preset transitions available instead of having to purchase through 3rd party vendors.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to work on a project and get it finished in time that I couldn't before with other video editing softwares. Also great third party tools and the best codecs for the best video image and use for production studio quality work.

  ### 45. Expert level editing

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

The least helpful in final cut pro is its distortion option in cropping

**Recommendations to others considering Final Cut Pro X:**

Its a best in the market for editing

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are earning money 💰 from it by making films and videos

  ### 46. High-end video editing is now available for anyone how wants. it.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gary L. | Head Motivator / CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 23, 2020

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

THe program is relatively easy to use with a host of third-part plugins that automate complex motion effects.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

I've started experiences some random crashes. Fortunately, the program automatically backs up my work on a timely basis. A little time, but no content has been lost.

**Recommendations to others considering Final Cut Pro X:**

There are a host of online tutorials and YouTube videos that walk you through all aspects of the program. As well, the third-party plugin market is vibrant.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prior to final Cut Pro X I was forced to use a complex and expensive Avid editing suite to produce videos. Now, I can edit from the comfort of my own work environment on my laptop.

  ### 47. Great software. Some learning curve.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 01, 2020

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

It is loaded with features. While it takes some getting used to where the features are located, once you figure that out you'll find the software can quite a bit.
You can also add additional plugins to bring in effects into your video to give your video a much more professional look. These can also be extended to different filters, effects and transistions that can be utilized into your video. There are many cool features. One of my favorites is the tracker suite that allows you to embed text into a subject and as the subject moves, the embedded text tracks the subject and continues to wrap around the subject. A very cool feature for marketing purposes.
The multi channel audio and video allows for creativity while editing. you can layer multiple audio sounds to your linking.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

I noticed that my 2015 macbook pro does run on high performance mode -- fans are on full blast as the software is running. It does take up a lot of resource to run the application.
The software itself isnt exactly cheap at 299 but it is worth the price if you use it regularly. There are training courses on youtube that should be watched in order to be able to use the software effectively. As I mentioned, there are some learning curves and you will need to understand what the different tools do in order to achieve the desired outcome.

**Recommendations to others considering Final Cut Pro X:**

If you are a mac user then this software this is the go to software. I would recommend getting to get your vidoes to the next leve.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to edit videos quickly and add some text, cut videos, stitch videos from the phone which arent so easy to do on the phone itself.
The software gives you many more features than a regular app would so it becomes a more powerful editing platform.

  ### 48. Final Cut Pro X - No Limits

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jamie R. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 30, 2020

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

Having taught myself to use Final Cut Pro -X, I'm super impressed by it's intuitive design. Combining FCPX's intuitive design and the numerous online tutorials available on YouTube the learning curve is swift & steep so I have no complaints whatsoever.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

The cost of additional plugins. In fairness you get what you pay for, and with a wealth of awesome plugins available for FCPX the options are fairly limitless, so I'm learning to do more with less rather than to complain about the price of the great plugins available ; )

**Recommendations to others considering Final Cut Pro X:**

Just Do it! Once you try Final Cut Pro X you'll be blown away by how good the software is.

Effectively with the power and flexibility of the FCPX software you have the ability to make a Hollywood Blockbuster on your laptop.

If you have used iMovie and wondering is it really worth the cost of the upgrade to FCPX I would say a big 1000% yes to that, as it opens up so many more options and your grounding in iMovie will have you fast tracking your FCPX game

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am creating content for my clothing eco-savvy clothing brand using FCPX in conjunction with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop so the ease of use and cost benefits stack up favourably very quickly. Still a lot to learn, but with people now asking me to create work for them, I guess I'm doing something right.

  ### 49. Fun and easy to use! This is my Go To Video Editor

I love the preset effects and how easy it is to use. I also love that there are so many free tutorials online to learn from. I love that it autosaves everything for me.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

There's not much I dislike. Im still learning how to use all of the features. There is alot to learn.

**Recommendations to others considering Final Cut Pro X:**

I recommend finding some Youtube tutorials to unlock all of the amazingness of this software. It can do alot!

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I edit music videos and marketing campaigns with this.

  ### 50. Final Cut Pro X is the most widely used editing software.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mike M. | Area Marketing Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2020

**What do you like best about Final Cut Pro X?**

It easily stands out from other similar software, very complete, customizable, compact, with multiple tools like zoom, cutting, presentations, royalty-free audios, editable high-quality transitions, one of the best I've used so far. It has never let me down, I want to highlight that I did many projects with it of very good quality and ease of use as well. Premiere Pro keeps getting better, I like the updates more and more. I wouldn't change anything so far.

**What do you dislike about Final Cut Pro X?**

The only bad thing about the software is that sometimes it freezes and tends to close every now and then. Although it has auto-save, this situation is a bit annoying. Luckily, it always saves my project, but that's the only bad thing. I hope you can fix that problem as soon as possible.

**Recommendations to others considering Final Cut Pro X:**

The most complete and well-performing software is Premiere Pro. It is the most recommended on the market, as stated by me and many other users worldwide. To the person who is thinking about using it, I recommend that you do so without any problems, the sooner the better, so you can make the most of your time.

**What problems is Final Cut Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I solved any number of issues that other software caused, I was able to save and edit other projects that I finished and they turned out great. Thanks to Final Cut Pro X and its magical, easy-to-use tools. I highly recommend its use to people.
