## Fin Reviews
  ### 1. Fin by Intercom: On-Brand AI Support at Scale That Resolves Tickets Autonomously

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jan B. | Data Entry Specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Fin?**

What I like most about Fin by Intercom is how effectively it delivers high-quality, on-brand AI support at scale without sacrificing accuracy or control. In my daily work, Fin runs seamlessly within the Intercom ecosystem, drawing on existing help center content, conversation history, and established workflows. This keeps setup quick and helps minimize operational overhead. From a customer support perspective, Fin also resolves a high percentage of customer questions autonomously, which reduces ticket volume and frees human agents to focus on more complex or higher-value issues.

**What do you dislike about Fin?**

What I dislike most about Fin by Intercom is that, while powerful, it can feel restrictive and costly depending on your team’s needs and scale. Fin’s cost per resolved conversation can become expensive for high-volume support teams, making ROI harder to justify without careful monitoring. Fin performs best only when your help center content is well-structured and up to date. Poor or sparse docs significantly reduce its effectiveness.

**What problems is Fin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fin by Intercom primarily solves the challenge of scaling customer support without sacrificing quality, and it delivers clear, practical benefits. It helps with high support volume and repetitive questions, since many customer inquiries are time-consuming for agents and tend to come up again and again. It also enables faster resolutions for customers by instantly answering common questions, which improves both first-response and overall resolution times. As a result, agent workload is reduced, so support teams can spend less time on repetitive tickets and more time on complex, high-impact issues. Responses are also more consistent and accurate because Fin pulls from approved knowledge sources, keeping answers aligned with the product and policy. Finally, it provides actionable insights by highlighting knowledge gaps and failure cases, which helps improve documentation and support strategy over time.

  ### 2. Convenient to use the Intercom

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Raphael C. | Data Entry Specialist, Outsourcing/Offshoring, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Fin?**

What I like best are High automation & scale
Fin can handle a lot of first‑level support automatically — repetitive questions, triage, basic troubleshooting — freeing up human agents for more complex tasks. This means faster response times and more consistent support.

**What do you dislike about Fin?**

What I dislike is Accuracy on niche/specific questions is lower Fin depends a lot on how well your help‑docs / knowledge base cover a topic. If your content isn’t clear, detailed, or well‑structured, Fin may misunderstand or give incomplete answers. Users report that for edge‑cases or very particular product questions, Fin sometimes “hallucinates” or has to be rescued by a human.

**What problems is Fin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Problems that Fin is addressing is High volume of repetitive / low‑complexity support requests. Many support teams spend a lot of time handling “obvious” or frequently asked questions: order status checks, refunds, basic product usage, billing, etc. These take up agent bandwidth, slow down response times, and add cost.

  ### 3. Revolutionizing Customer Support with Ease and Innovation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jad H.

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Fin?**

I like the ease of use of Fin by Intercom, which allows us to onboard Fin 'technicians' faster and ensures they deliver value without worrying about things getting messy. The architecture of the product is clear. I also appreciate the continuous innovation, as the product keeps getting better and the capabilities keep increasing.

**What do you dislike about Fin?**

I find it challenging to see all the procedures written in one place and understand what might trigger one versus another. Also, I'd like the ability to simulate conversations from the top level, not just within the workflow or procedure itself. There should be more granular control over selecting specifically what follow-on messages the test user is sending.

**What problems is Fin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fin by Intercom offers round-the-clock availability, quick responses to simple queries, and frees up agents to focus on tasks best handled by humans. It boosts productivity, transforming roles into more valuable, proactive positions.

  ### 4. Effortless Setup, Effective AI Features

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Giuseppe M.

**Reviewed Date:** January 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Fin?**

I really like how Fin by Intercom is convenient and easy to use for interacting with customers via email, chat, and phone. The ability to create or use automated help and desk articles is super helpful. The AI function is a standout for me, saving us 50% of the traffic. I'm also a fan of its adaptability, being able to guide interactions according to our tone of voice. The setup process was incredibly simple, and making workflows and automations is really self-explanatory, which makes things a lot easier.

**What do you dislike about Fin?**

I think there should be a way to save or memorize certain details, like how you would tell ChatGPT to do it. I'd like to adjust certain small details of its explanation that it creates out of help desk articles because sometimes it's not fully correct.

**What problems is Fin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Fin by Intercom convenient and easy to use for interacting with customers via email, chat, and phone. The AI function saves us 50% of the traffic, and it offers a lot of automated help and help desk articles we can use or create.

  ### 5. Efficient Customer Support with Fin

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nikki N. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Fin?**

I really like Fin by Intercom for its ability to respond to customers quicker than a human generally could and answering most straightforward questions, which saves time for our team. It seems to learn quickly. I also appreciate the suggestions to our help docs and articles it creates, based on analyzing frequent customer questions. We started using it when it was released and have kept using it because it has been really helpful in reducing some of our team's time and effort in support. Overall, we really like it.

**What do you dislike about Fin?**

Sometimes it makes suggestions to the customer that are not correct and I have a hard time working out where it found the information. Generally, it's pretty good but there are instances when, for example, it's offered for us to do revisions to customers that are not entitled to revisions and we have had to follow through on that offer from Fin. The revisions was a big one. Also, offering a discount code to customers that were not categorized as being entitled to that specific discount.

**What problems is Fin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fin by Intercom responds faster than a human and handles straightforward questions, saving our team time.

  ### 6. Inconsistent Performance, Needs Better Language Support

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Boel A.

**Reviewed Date:** January 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Fin?**

I like when Fin by Intercom gets it right because it can provide very good answers to people's questions. When it answers correctly, we don't even have to read the responses ourselves.

**What do you dislike about Fin?**

I have a lot of problems with Fin by Intercom. We need to work on a new workflow since it only handles very simple questions. We face language issues because we work in four different languages, and Fin struggles with that. There's no integration with our systems, and it doesn't take all the incoming messages, which causes a lot of problems. Although the initial setup was okay with help from Intercom, we don't feel we get the ongoing support we need, and we might need to hire another company to make this work properly.

**What problems is Fin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Fin by Intercom for very simple questions in customer support. When it gets the answers right, it can handle questions well, so we don't even have to read the answers.

**Official Response from Kateryna Kharytonova:**

> Hi Boel,

Andrew here, I’m a manager on our support team. Fin should be working a lot smoother than it has been for you - I’m going to have our team take a deeper look into the setup, translation, and integration issues you flagged here so we can set you up for success moving forward. I reached out to you directly via the support conversation you have with our team and we will be in touch there with next steps as soon as possible.

  ### 7. An assistant that understands and speeds up our support

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniela R. | Chief Customer Officer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Fin?**

Fin has been a great addition to our support workflow. It provides fast, accurate answers and helps reduce response times significantly. Our clients appreciate the immediate assistance, and our team can focus on more complex cases. The setup was smooth, and the quality of AI responses keeps improving over time — it really feels like an extension of our team.

**What do you dislike about Fin?**

Fin is a helpful tool, but there’s still room to grow. Sometimes the answers feel too generic or lack the right context for specific client questions. Better control over tone and more training options to align it with our brand voice would make a big difference. Overall, it’s a solid product — it just needs more flexibility for teams managing complex, multilingual interactions.

**What problems is Fin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fin helps us speed up responses during the onboarding process and supports our users in learning how to use our platform more effectively. It provides clear, instant answers to common questions, which saves our team time and ensures a smoother experience for new clients.

  ### 8. Customizable Workflow Enhancer with Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Khrystyna H.

**Reviewed Date:** January 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Fin?**

I like the custom answers feature in Fin by Intercom, as it helps differentiate answers based on the client's location, ensuring we don't mix and merge data when communicating with clients. The snippets feature is incredibly useful for quickly adding info that we don't want clients to just find by scrolling through articles but want them to know if they're specifically looking for it. The ability to set a tone of voice is great for maintaining good service, and guidance has become one of my favorites recently. The initial setup was pretty easy, mainly because we didn't have many articles at the start.

**What do you dislike about Fin?**

I don't like that I can't add different languages to one snippet, like with articles. It's also frustrating not being able to change the language listing order. Switching to article editing directly from the published article would be a nice feature. For the Fin bot, I wish there was an ability to evaluate answers in chats and train the bot based on that. There's also no report on how articles are being used in specific bot conversations. For example, if I post a new article, I want a report to show which conversations it was used in.

**What problems is Fin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Fin by Intercom to give clients access to product information and quick answers via Bot. Custom answers enhance communication by differentiating responses based on clients' locations. Snippets provide specific info efficiently, and the tone of voice is maintained for good service.

  ### 9. Exceptional 24/7 Support and Fast Issue Resolution Ease

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ishani S. | Senior Business Development Executive, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Fin?**

That it helps in resolving any complex customer query and works best with performing actions like processing refunds or tracking orders, aiming to provide fast, accurate, 24/7 support with high resolution rates.

**What do you dislike about Fin?**

There are problems with manual duplicate merging, and the AI can sometimes provide responses that are unhelpful or inconsistent. Some users have also found the software to be buggy or lacking important features, such as screenshot analysis. For the best experience, it seems necessary to have deep integration with the full Intercom suite.

**What problems is Fin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fin by Intercom addresses challenges such as slow response times, high support volumes, and inconsistent answers by functioning as an AI agent. It is capable of instantly resolving up to 50% of queries, which allows human agents to focus on more complex issues.

  ### 10. Enhances Efficiency with Smart AI, Needs Simplified Integration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vee .

**Reviewed Date:** January 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Fin?**

I like how Fin by Intercom can use our help center content to answer questions, and how we can adjust our content to make it more accurate. Guidance is also a cool feature; it's such a smart use of AI to bring efficiency to our inbox. We love how we could abandon our old triage system filled with buttons and paths and use only Fin to handle chats, including routing to different inboxes to optimize our team's time. The initial setup was as easy as it gets. We just enabled it on some workflows and started adjusting our help center content to make the answers more accurate.

**What do you dislike about Fin?**

We looked into Fin actions/tasks, but it seemed too complicated for us to implement, and we couldn't divert dev resources for that when we thought of it. Our superiors also don't really trust connecting our system with Intercom's to give Fin access to our users' information. Maybe a more simplified way to connect both things would help, but it was too complicated to just connect. We're having a little bit of trouble with Copilot mixing up our help center content with our guidelines and playbooks.

**What problems is Fin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fin by Intercom handles our repetitive questions and triages inquiries to human agents when needed. It uses our help center content and improves efficiency with guidance features, allowing us to streamline chat handling and optimize team time.

  ### 11. The interface is clean, and it makes customer support feel a lot more manageable.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aditya T. | KYC Support, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Fin?**

I like best about Fin by Intercom is how easy it is to get started and use on a daily basis. The setup was smooth and didn’t require much technical effort, which was a big plus. It integrates well with our existing tools and works right alongside our support team. The features are useful without being overwhelming, and it really helps lighten the load for agents. Customer support from Intercom has also been quick and helpful whenever we needed it.

**What do you dislike about Fin?**

Sometimes struggles with very niche or complex queries, especially if the content hasn’t been fine-tuned. It can occasionally give generic responses or miss context. Also, while it's improving fast, a bit more customization and deeper analytics would make it even better.

**What problems is Fin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fin by Intercom is helping solve the problem of handling high volumes of repetitive player queries. It quickly answers common questions about gameplay, account issues, and troubleshooting, which saves me a lot of time and lets me focus on more complex or sensitive player concerns. It keeps response times fast, improves player satisfaction, and reduces pressure during peak hours and making my job smoother and more manageable.

  ### 12. Great tool for automatization of CX

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nadia S. | Operations Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Fin?**

We have been using Intercom for 5+ years now, and FIN most frecuently in the last year. They really have been improving user and manager experience, adding more metrics and reports on how FIN has been performing. It is quite easy to implement, customer support is always a plus.

**What do you dislike about Fin?**

Could have more integrations, and cost is still a barrier for small business (high ticket).

**What problems is Fin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

FIN is helping us automatizate our customer support, tickets, etc. Mainly it has been helping a lot to free time from our team so that the initial and repetitive doubts is deal by FIN. It helped us a lot that all the information was already on our help center, that was very complete. Since FIN gets the information from that database, it was very quick an easy to implement. Now we are on the evaluation phase so that we can improve it and it´s resolution rate, that is currently around 67%. Overall it is a great tool to save time from the team, and Intercom is really investing on making it better every time.

  ### 13. AI Chatbot review (Fin by Intercom)

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Erika F. | Digital Success Sernior Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Fin?**

I find Fin surprisingly helpful and pretty accurate. I feel like I get quality responses without having to bother a human. I can even see it refreshing when it notices errors or mistakes in it's replies. Fin is very kind and friendly as well, which makes for a pleasant user experience (even though I know it's a chatbot, it's still nice).

**What do you dislike about Fin?**

Sometimes I have to ask things or phrase things in very specific ways to get the replies I need. It's not as nuanced as human support.
Sometimes Fin shared information about outdated functionality or deprecated features. If I notice and call it out - Fin will apologize and update its replies, but it does make me want to verify with a human for critical or complex issues.

**What problems is Fin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fin helps answer questions I have about Intercom functionality and expected behavior. For example, confirming if Surveys are meant to keep appearing for users even after they;ve submitted it.
Fin benefits me by saving me time having to search for the answer myself, and I can ask follow-up questions or be easily routed to a human support agent if needed.

  ### 14. Efficient Customer Support, Needs Better Guidance Management

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tinsey W.

**Reviewed Date:** December 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Fin?**

I appreciate that Fin by Intercom has a very good understanding of questions from our customers, providing prompt and short guides when needed. What I also like is that we can set the topics that Fin should not reply to, in that case, Fin would just say that it will redirect our customers to human support. Our Fin has also very customized tones that matches with our team value :)

**What do you dislike about Fin?**

For more advanced questions, Fin sometimes improvises too much. It'd be great to set boundaries for when Fin should just not elaborate and should suggest connecting customers with human support. Also, it's currently not possible for Fin to provide guides with screenshots, and it'd be really helpful to have this function. When our team started to try more advanced features like workflows and auto follow-ups, it sometimes got hard to understand how things work.

**What problems is Fin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fin by Intercom resolves integration issues by effectively reading API documentation and provides guides to help center resources. It understands customer questions, offering prompt support and rerouting to human support when needed, enhancing our customer service efficiency.

  ### 15. Efficient Support with Room for Smarter Guidance

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rahul A. | Customer Success, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Fin?**

We are a small customer support team and handle a large volume of incoming queries. At the same time, during BFCM, we have a lot of migrations to manage. Being on chat constantly isn’t feasible for us, and that’s where Fin came in super handy. It cleared a huge chunk of our chats, solved issues efficiently, helped us maintain CSAT, and gave us more time to focus on migrations while improving the overall user experience.

**What do you dislike about Fin?**

The one thing I don’t like about Fin is that it doesn’t handle queries in a Q&A or questionnaire style format. Currently, it mostly just matches a catchphrase and sends out an article as the answer. Ideally, we’d want Fin to ask follow-up questions and provide more guided responses. This might be something we can improve through guidance, but for now, this is a limitation I’ve noticed

**What problems is Fin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helps us manage high volumes of customer queries efficiently, freeing up our team to focus on important projects like store migrations. It ensures users get timely responses, reduces backlog, and ultimately enhances the overall customer experience.

  ### 16. Powerful AI That Learns from Multiple Sources

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Leisure, Travel & Tourism | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Fin?**

The AI model is very powerful; it learns from multiple sources like Help Center, internal snippets and past conversations. It is easy to switch on, it requires little configuration to start. It has become more customizable through new features like "Guidance", so that you can give Fin the tone of voice of your company.

**What do you dislike about Fin?**

One downside is that the most conversations that are "resolved" are actually "assumed resolved" and they will cost 0.99USD too.
The handoff to the team members is sometimes too lengthy.

**What problems is Fin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fin is the first line of response for all incoming chats & emails. It has taken workload off our small team, enabling the team members to work on the most complex problems for our customers.
Our customers get instant, 24/7 replies and are happy with Fin's quality (giving high CSAT). Our response times have benefitted and our customer satisfaction too.

  ### 17. Reliable, Easy-to-Train Support Assistant That Feels Like an Extra Teammate

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Fin?**

Fin is incredibly reliable. I learns FAST. It understands customer questions well, provides clear answers, and reduces a huge amount of repetitive workload for our support team. I love how easy it is to train; no complicated setup, just connect it to your help content and it instantly becomes useful. The ability to hand off to a human seamlessly also gives us confidence that customers are always taken care of. Overall, it feels like having an extra teammate who works 24/7 with consistent quality.

**What do you dislike about Fin?**

The main downside is that Fin can be limited when handling highly specific or nuanced cases which we're still learning how to adapt to it.

**What problems is Fin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fin is helping us handle a large volume of repetitive customer questions quickly and accurately. It gives customers instant answers, even outside of working hours, which reduces wait times and improves overall satisfaction. For our team, it frees up a significant amount of time so we can focus on more complex or high-value conversations instead of repeating the same explanations. It also ensures consistency in responses, which helps maintain quality across all support interactions. Overall, Fin makes our support operations more efficient, scalable, and customer-friendly.

  ### 18. Great AI chat tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Levente B. | Manager of Customer Support, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Fin?**

Easy to set up.
Gives suggestions on how you can expand your knowledge base.
Easy to add external or internal articles.
Makes suggestions for extra information based on unanswered questions.
Lots of helpful reports showing where you need to add more information to Fin in order to answer as many questions as possible.

**What do you dislike about Fin?**

The price could be a bit more competitive. I feel it's a bit much.
No option to base follow-up actions on what Fin replied to a user.
It's sometimes unclear how different settings interact with each other or the rest of Intercom.

**What problems is Fin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lots of times users run into the same issues or have the same questions. Fin helps users by finding them the answers without the users having to go through dozens of help articles and answers their questions.

  ### 19. Seamless Setup, Impressive AI Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gil P. | CPO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Fin?**

I appreciate that setting up Fin by Intercom was remarkably easy and straightforward. This facilitated a smooth transition as our tier 1 AI Support agent. I value how the built-in training mechanism quickly enhanced the answer quality, ensuring our customer interactions are handled efficiently and accurately. I find that Fin improved our access to the Help Center and knowledge base, which optimizes our operations by sourcing answers effectively. The system's integration capabilities with Orcanos and our Webflow website further simplify and streamline our support tasks. Additionally, I highly regard the potential for Fin to automate workflows by triggering programmatic procedures in our CRM, which can enhance productivity and ensure consistent service delivery.

**What do you dislike about Fin?**

I am looking forward to Fin by Intercom being able to trigger procedures. This feature is not yet available, though Intercom is in the process of rolling it out. I'd like to be able to trigger programmatic procedures, such as tagging threads and triggering actions in our CRM. This ability would help automate some of the workflows that we do with customers.

**What problems is Fin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fin by Intercom efficiently handles initial customer support inquiries using our knowledge base, improving response quality with easy setup and built-in training. It enhances access to our Help Center and can potentially automate workflows by integrating with our CRM.

  ### 20. Streamlined Customer Support with Customizable UI

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kendall Z.

**Reviewed Date:** November 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Fin?**

I love how Fin by Intercom effectively utilizes all our data sources, guides, and help articles to provide immediate answers to users. Its ability to learn from the content I add, such as PDFs and images, simplifies the setup process, making it incredibly smooth and easy. I am impressed with how it handles customer support efficiently around the clock, ensuring that even specific user queries are addressed promptly without the need to manually sift through multiple guides. Furthermore, I greatly appreciate its customizable UI, which allows me to tailor the interface to mirror our brand environment by using our colors, enhancing the personalized touch for our users. The seamless integration with our internal SaaS platform also means our numerous users can instantly access help or solutions, enhancing their experience with our services.

**What do you dislike about Fin?**

I find the current capabilities for handling specific data formats somewhat limiting. I would like Fin by Intercom to improve in terms of efficiently improving answers and having the ability to import or use CSV or Excel files as content. Additionally, having the option to exclude specific answers would enhance its adaptability. These limitations slightly hinder my ability to optimize the tool fully.

**What problems is Fin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Fin by Intercom to provide 24/7 customer support, instantly delivering specific guide answers from our data sources, improving efficiency.

  ### 21. Efficient Support with Room for Improvement

**Reviewed by:** Bruno M.

**Reviewed Date:** November 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Fin?**

I really appreciate how Fin by Intercom uses AI to efficiently handle customer queries, especially the simpler ones, and that it's able to effectively filter out unnecessary inquiries. This feature significantly streamlines our customer support process by reducing the workload of our team, allowing us to focus on more detailed interactions with customers. It's incredibly beneficial that approximately 25% of customer interactions are managed autonomously by the system, hence saving valuable time that we can invest in refining our content or addressing more complex customer issues in greater detail.

**What do you dislike about Fin?**

I find Fin by Intercom's setup process somewhat demanding, as it requires ongoing attention to ensure the accuracy of responses. It's also not as intelligent as I hoped, which necessitates constant monitoring of its outputs. Additionally, I wish it was more advanced in handling hallucinations, as it can sometimes generate irrelevant or incorrect responses. Another dissatisfaction is with the data suggestions feature, where we lack meaningful insights possibly due to limited data we allow it to access. Additionally, I feel the service could benefit from more sophisticated AI functionalities, perhaps more than just the current capabilities.

**What problems is Fin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Fin by Intercom to automate responses to routine customer queries, reducing my support team's workload by 25% and allowing us to focus on complex inquiries and content improvement.

  ### 22. Great Automated Support, But Lacks Real-Time Awareness and Customization

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jessica M. | Chief Experience Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Fin?**

I appreciate when he responds and resolves a ticket without the need for any human interaction.

**What do you dislike about Fin?**

He isn't aware of real-time events, such as when we're running a sale or experiencing glitches on our site. Additionally, he doesn't have access to customers' order histories or previous conversation records. I also haven't been able to find a way to customize a message to inform people that when Fin transfers them to a human, the response isn't immediate. As a result, customers are often left waiting, expecting to be connected to a live person right away.

**What problems is Fin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Serving as the initial point of contact and having the ability to address frequently asked questions is extremely valuable.

  ### 23. A Smart, Multilingual AI That Feels Like Part of the Team

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Fin?**

Fin is remarkably easy to set up and customize. What stands out to me most is its flexibility, allowing me to tailor responses for specific questions and adjust the bot’s tone to match our brand’s personality.

The Fin guidance feature has been invaluable, as it enables me to personalize how Fin interacts with our users, ensuring each response feels thoughtful rather than generic. I also value how seamlessly Fin handles multiple languages. There’s no need to rewrite help articles, since it automatically translates and replies in the customer’s language using our existing English content.

Another major advantage is that Fin retrieves and grounds its answers using our Help Centre and support materials, which keeps responses accurate and consistent with our documentation. What’s especially helpful is that Fin deflects many of the routine, repetitive questions away from the support team, freeing them up to address more complex and urgent issues.

Implementing Fin in our workspace genuinely feels like nurturing a smart assistant that continually learns and improves. It’s always rewarding to see it impress customers by providing quick, sensible answers that make our support process smoother and more efficient.

For anyone looking to scale their support operations without sacrificing quality, Fin is an excellent option. It takes just minutes to set up, quickly learns from your existing help content, and communicates fluently in multiple languages. It’s a powerful partner that allows your team to focus on challenging problems while ensuring your customers receive fast, accurate support at any time.

**What do you dislike about Fin?**

At the moment, Fin cannot send screenshots from help articles, which would make responses even more visual and engaging. It is a small gap in an otherwise fantastic experience.

**What problems is Fin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fin helps us manage high support volumes by handling repetitive or straightforward customer questions automatically. It gives customers instant answers at any time, in multiple languages, without needing an agent’s intervention.

This has allowed our support team to focus on complex, high-value issues that require human judgment instead of spending time on routine queries. It has also improved response speed and consistency across regions, making our overall support experience faster, smarter, and more scalable.

  ### 24. AI-Powered Support with Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ricardo V.

**Reviewed Date:** September 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Fin?**

I love how Fin by Intercom allows me to scale our customer support efficiently, acting as a team of agents answering common queries. The integration capabilities are remarkable, especially the ability to add sources like web links and documents, which greatly enhances information accessibility and query resolution. The seamless setup process with a comprehensive help center and the quick access to human support whenever needed are extremely helpful. I also appreciate Fin's AI abilities in providing complete and source-referenced responses, helping me focus on improving processes and solving complex queries.

**What do you dislike about Fin?**

I have noticed that Finn's ability to search for sources is limited by the language defined for the customer or conversation. Although it can translate content, it sometimes fails to retrieve the best possible information because it seems to prioritize content available in the predefined language. This can lead to incorrect answers when the best sources are in a different language. I would suggest an improvement where Finn could identify the best sources regardless of language and choose to translate if necessary.

**What problems is Fin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Fin by Intercom solves scaling issues by handling basic queries, freeing me to improve processes and tackle complex issues.

  ### 25. Intercom/Fin Usage

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Fin?**

Fin helps deflect a massive amount of volume for the team I work on, allowing us to be freed up to work with more complex tasks, or clients that are more escalated. The amount of basic tickets it solves for us allows the team to focus on those issues, and I feel like that has caused the quality of my work to rise.
The article creator is also wonderful- full featured, easy to use, and mirrors the live article exactly, making edits easy to do.
I use the product daily in a customer support role and it has made the overall job different, but in a very good way.

**What do you dislike about Fin?**

There are a couple very small things- the Guidance is difficult if you have different products with overlapping feature sets or similar terms to describe.
One small thing is that there is a few different things referred to as "Topics" throughout the Intercom interface (for Fin, for tickets/conversation, for auditing) that are not connected. It would be very powerful if these were integrated and you could train the topic.

**What problems is Fin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Overall volume- it deflects so many "basic" questions, allowing us to focus on more complex or technical issues.

  ### 26. Clear, Concise Information with Reliable Sources

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yunesh K. | Head of Client Support and Onboarding, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Fin?**

The way shares the relevant information in bullet points along with the source of information.

**What do you dislike about Fin?**

Not being able to grab the video URL mentioned in the knowledge base.

**What problems is Fin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helping to reduce the incoming support volumes by addressing clients' concerns through chat and email.

  ### 27. Efficient Off-Hours Support with Customizable Resource Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Suzanne T.

**Reviewed Date:** December 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Fin?**

I love that we can limit the resources Fin by Intercom uses to provide answers, which helps ensure that the correct information is being provided. The setup process was great, and the Help Articles and chatting with Intercom's Fin were most helpful.

**What do you dislike about Fin?**

I'd like an easier way to switch to holiday hours, but I think that's more an Intercom as a whole thing vs Fin specifically.

**What problems is Fin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Fin by Intercom to provide off-hours support, offering assistance whenever it's convenient for customers. It helps us manage simple questions, freeing human agents for more complex queries.

  ### 28. Fin changes the game

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Phillip R. | Head of Customer Operations, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Fin?**

Fin has completely changed the game for Support Teams. Traditionally, Support has been reactive, and when volumes spiked, the only real lever we had was adding more headcount. Sure, we tried other approaches—resolution bots, custom flows, better documentation, improved onboarding and training—but they rarely moved the needle enough. Inevitably, we’d fall back on hiring.

With Fin, that dynamic has flipped. It’s infinitely scalable, able to confidently handle anywhere from 5 to 5,000 conversations as long as the knowledge exists. The challenge now isn’t scale—it’s how teams adapt. Former frontline agents are becoming content creators, because great content is what fuels Fin. That shift means content can’t be an afterthought; it has to sit at the heart of how Support operates.

Fin is only as powerful as the knowledge you feed it—and that’s a much more exciting problem to solve than endlessly chasing headcount.

**What do you dislike about Fin?**

One limitation with Fin is that it’s tied exclusively to Intercom. While it’s fantastic for customer interactions, we have plenty of other use cases where it would be valuable to extend its reach to non-Intercom teams.

We already invest significant time training Fin, and it would be a huge win if our internal teams could access Copilot externally—say through a lightweight app. That way, we could share the benefits across the organisation without needing to justify the cost of a full Intercom seat for people who don’t use the inbox. A smaller, more flexible licensing option would make a lot of sense here.

Another improvement that would be game-changing is a Slack integration. A large portion of our knowledge lives in Slack threads, and being able to tap into that directly would dramatically increase the value we get from Fin.

**What problems is Fin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We operate in a two-sided network, supporting both our suppliers and the venue customers who buy from them. That creates unique complexities—different audiences, different needs, and the challenge of making sure Fin can confidently serve the right answers to the right people.

Fin has pushed us to get far more structured with our customer data, segmentation, and content strategy. We’ve invested in building the right properties, segmenting carefully, and writing content with intent so Fin delivers accurate, relevant responses.

We’re still on the journey, but already we’re seeing big improvements. For example, we’ve transitioned two of our senior team members into dedicated content roles, which is accelerating our progress. This shift is hugely valuable—Fin doesn’t just reduce support load, it’s helping us mature how we manage and scale knowledge across a complex customer base.

  ### 29. Fin has changed the game for us!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kristin T. | Manager of Client Support, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Fin?**

We are able to support so many more customers with the same high level of service they've come to expect. Fin gets better and better and adapts so well to the complex questions that are being asked. Our product is just that...complex. Most issues are unique in that clients ask similar questions but in very different ways or with very different use cases of each feature. Fin is able to use our resources to answer well.

**What do you dislike about Fin?**

I think the only downside is that we cannot use the same Fin technology to search for answers to chats we are actively responding to. Copilot isn't quite as advanced as Fin.

It does also take some work upfront. You need to make sure that you have a well-developed knowledge base for Fin to pull from. That means ensuring that your help articles and internal resources are well-formatted and comprehensive so that Fin has solid and clear information to use.

**What problems is Fin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fin helps to handle all of the low hanging fruit - those easy questions that have a very direct answer. That means we don't need as many frontline agents and the agents we do have can tackle the more complex and nuanced customer inquiries.

  ### 30. Quickly Finds Answers Across Internal & External Docs

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Architecture & Planning | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Fin?**

It points to both internal and external documentation for answers to questions, as well as similar conversations that other team members have had about issues. This helps me to locate where the correct information is for my customers.

**What do you dislike about Fin?**

That it often relies on very old, outdated information, and sometimes just plain wrong. It also sometimes conflates terms, like clients and consultants.

**What problems is Fin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The lowest level/easiest issues that our customers are having.

  ### 31. Easy to Use with Seamless Start/Pause Across Channels

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Fin?**

I love how easy it is to use, and I really appreciate being able to start and pause its use across different channels. It’s also nice to be able to connect to external content and services easily.

**What do you dislike about Fin?**

The only thing I don’t like is that there’s no native way to load company closures ahead of time.

**What problems is Fin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has allowed us to scale our support operations and increase self-service options for our customers.

  ### 32. Makes AI Support Feel Effortless

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Fin?**

Fin is one of those tools that just works. It’s easy to set up, doesn’t require a dedicated a full team to manage, and gives us the power to keep our support team small and agile without sacrificing quality. The pricing is refreshingly straightforward, with no confusing tiers or upsells to worry about, which I really appreciate.

The best part? It’s genuinely helpful out of the box. We didn’t have to spend weeks training it or customizing complex workflows. It’s like having an extra team member who never sleeps and always gives solid answers.

**What do you dislike about Fin?**

If I had to nitpick, I’d say the analytics and customization options could go a bit deeper. While it covers the basics well, there are moments when I wish I could get more granular data or fine-tune how Fin handles certain types of queries. But honestly, that’s a minor ask given how much value it delivers already.

**What problems is Fin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fin helps us provide 24/7 support coverage without needing to scale our human team. It handles a large volume of common customer questions accurately and instantly, which means our support team can focus on the more complex or high-touch issues. That’s allowed us to stay lean and efficient without compromising on response times or customer satisfaction.

It’s also solved the problem of complexity that often comes with AI tools. Fin doesn’t require a huge implementation effort or a dedicated team to manage. It’s easy to launch, easy to maintain, and it works well with our existing Intercom setup. That simplicity saves us both time and money, and gives us peace of mind knowing we’re not spending weeks configuring something only to get mediocre results.

  ### 33. A top option for Support teams

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Fin?**

FIN is a fantastic tool for modern support teams. FIN helps our team by handling many conversations that allows teammates to work on other tasks. FIN resolves a majority of the conversations it is involved in, and it's easy to integrate a knowledge base or content library when using FIN. FIN is used every day in large volume for us. Additionally, I use Intercom's own FIN chatbot when I have questions about implementing FIN in my own support instance, and often times I find it to be quite helpful.

**What do you dislike about Fin?**

FIN can be a bit tricky to implement and I'm still learning how to optimize it's use in FIN Tasks and other areas. It may not handle highly personalized queries as well as general ones yet, either.

**What problems is Fin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

FIN helps us to solve a fundamental business problem which is scaling Customer Support for a growing business. As our customer base grows we need to be able to meet that demand from a support perspective without increasing headcount. FIN allows us to do this by acting as a first line of response and resolving the majority of the questions that it receives.

  ### 34. Fin holds the fort when I'm not there

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Leonardo H. | Customer Success Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Fin?**

That my customers get an immediate response even when I'm not online. Also, it's super easy to use and to customize.

**What do you dislike about Fin?**

A small thing that bothers me is the lack of the option to give the customer a clearer office schedule for when a human agent will be available. It's too hidden IMO.

**What problems is Fin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm the only support representative in the company, and we work EU hours, so Fin can cover for me when I'm offline and I get to the conversations in the day after that.

  ### 35. “The best all-in-one support + engagement tool we’ve used”

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Will P. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Fin?**

The combination of live chat, automation, and integrated help content makes Intercom a powerhouse for both support and conversion. The ability to use Snippets, macros, and auto-replies helps our Client Success team stay fast and consistent, while tools like Custom Bots and Workflows let us engage leads without needing a dev. Everything lives in one clean, intuitive inbox — chat, email, help articles, and even product tours. It’s like having a full support and growth team baked into one platform.

**What do you dislike about Fin?**

The biggest downside is pricing — it can scale up quickly as your user base or contact volume grows. Some features that feel core (like advanced reporting or certain automation tools) are gated behind higher-tier plans. Also, while the inbox is powerful, there’s a bit of a learning curve for new team members to fully grasp the workflows and settings. Finally, their support response times can sometimes be slower than expected for a tool that powers customer support.

**What problems is Fin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Intercom helps us streamline client communication, reduce response times, and stay organized across multiple channels. Instead of juggling separate tools for live chat, email support, knowledge base, and automation, Intercom brings everything into one platform. This has massively improved our client satisfaction and team efficiency — we’re able to handle more conversations with fewer people, deliver faster answers using Snippets and Articles, and proactively engage leads with bots and workflows. It’s a game-changer for keeping our support tight and scalable as we grow.

  ### 36. Revolutionary for Customer Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Fin?**

It's great that you can give Fin guidance and make him use the right tone in answers. We also love the features that come with Fin such as evaluating topics and AI generated suggestions for quick amendments in our help center. Fin can already answer a huge chunk of our support tickets by himself and we're excited to optimise that even further.

**What do you dislike about Fin?**

Currently the new features are only available for English content. We could really use this for other languages such as German.

**What problems is Fin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fin provides clear, structured breakdowns of customer queries, which helps us identify trends—especially useful for planning newsletter topics. It also highlights potential feature gaps based on recurring customer issues.

With the growing volume of customer requests, Fin helps us maintain consistent response times by handling simpler, repetitive support tickets. This frees up our team to focus on more complex and high-impact customer interactions.

  ### 37. So much promise, but Intercom's development teams are their own worst enemy

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Douglas C. | Workflow Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Fin?**

Fin (it's chat bot), is mostly decent at responding to user needs.

**What do you dislike about Fin?**

The data this platform gives you is a freaking nightmare. Sure, you can maybe narrow down data to one or two tickets, but if you need to export that data or build dashboards that actually give you in-depth data to make decisions, then you can fully skip over this platform. Rest your weary head, they've decided the data you need and you'll just have to live with it.

Then there's their support. Don't plan on hearing back from an employee on their team in under 4 hours. They'll get around to you when they get around to you and you'll be thankful for it.

Additionally, this company does not give a flying crap what you think. They do no ZERO product research, little in the way of feedback processes, they don't proactively ask what your experience is on anything, they don't care if a new feature works or could be improved - I imagine the product team here just tosses stuff out and says "should we get opinions from our users? Nah, they'll love, time to go golfing - gold stars all around."

Lastly, don't ever get curious and try out a beta feature of theirs. It's coming no matter what you think and if you hate it, there will never be a way to revert back.

**What problems is Fin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's decent at conversations with users. We do a lot to ensure it's bot has all of the data it needs and are constantly adding more when it fails to meet the bar.

**Official Response from Kateryna Kharytonova:**

> Hi Douglas,
Bobby here, I lead the Support Team.
You seem really upset. I'm sorry man, that's not what we want.
There's a lot to unpack in your feedback, but I'd love to try and help fix this. If at the end of the day we're still not the right fit for you I respect that. But if you're open to chatting you can email me at robert.stapleton@intercom.io and I'll look into it for you.
Thank you!

  ### 38. Effortless Workflow Improvements and Automation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marissa K. | Member Support Executive, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Fin?**

The easy to follow instructions about how to improve workflows, write articles and automate things.

**What do you dislike about Fin?**

Fin can't automatically send links for example 'password reset links'

**What problems is Fin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is making it easier for our end user to self-serve, and ultimately find the answer to their problems by FIN providing or suggesting troubleshooting steps.

  ### 39. Customers for 3 years - Poor experience

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yuval Y. | Executive, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Fin?**

Easy to integrate and sounds promising on paper.

**What do you dislike about Fin?**

We've been customers of Intercom for almost 4 years now, and I couldn't regret more the decision to join Intercom.

Customer support is extremely poor - it often takes hours or even days to get a response, and you’re constantly passed between agents who lose track of the issue, forcing you to repeat yourself multiple times.
For example, they once blocked our ability to send emails without any warning, and only reinstated it several days later. In another case, one of our developers waited weeks for technical assistance.

Pricing is very high compared to alternatives, especially as you grow. Nearly every feature is an upsell, so our bill keeps increasing unexpectedly.

While the core product is decent, it’s far from perfect and doesn’t justify the high cost. They lack some integration like native Telegram integration (again, every channel is an upsell, ugh). Fin, in particular, is overhyped - most of its replies aren’t helpful.

**What problems is Fin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping with CRM platform

**Official Response from Kateryna Kharytonova:**

> Hi Yuval,
Bobby here, I lead the customer support team. I want to try and help turn this around.
Our first response times are 1-4 hours Mon-Fri, based on urgency.
I read your open conversation regarding blocked email sending. Can your team add the double opt-in step? This is the second time you've breached the email sending guidelines so we need them fixed before we can turn it back on. These are industry standard, and the same as our competitors.
Our channel pricing is based on usage, and designed to be as close to "cost" as possible. We want customers to have whatever customer support channels they need for their business. Happy to chat through this in detail.
Feel free to email me at robert.stapleton@intercom.io if you want to talk. I appreciate you using us after all these years and hope we can make this work. Thank you.

  ### 40. All in one solution for most support needs

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Logan F. | Operations Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 26, 2025

**What do you like best about Fin?**

While it may not have the legacy or pedigree of something like Salesforce or Zendesk, Intercom more than makes up for it for its constant innovation and focus on human-led support. From it's AI solutions, to its tickets and conversation systems, you never feel like you are forcing your customers through a robotic software. Even sending macros and interacting with the chatbot will have the flavor of humanity in its support.

Out of the box, Intercom can get started immediately with just a couple of set up steps. It integrates well with other apps and software and can be used as an efficient resource hub for internal systems.

**What do you dislike about Fin?**

Despite the constant innovation and improvement to their product, there are still a few things that miss the mark. Simple quality of life updates or lacking common sense steps in their workflows that require more complex workarounds.

**What problems is Fin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I built an entire external knowledge base from scratch, using intercom. Their article creator and management made it incredibly easy to turn disparate content into a cohesive help center for our customers. Following this, I also implemented an AI chat function using Intercom's Fin. It uses said knowledge base along with other curated resources to effectively replace an entire agent on our team and allow us to provide 24/7 support without human staffing.

  ### 41. Great for Reducing Support Work, But Needs In-Article Screenshots

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Karan R. | Manager, Customer Onboarding and Implementation, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Fin?**

It provides helpful answers to clients and reduces the manual effort required by our support team to debug issues and respond to clients.

**What do you dislike about Fin?**

It doesn't include screenshots from the Helpdesk articles it references; instead, it only provides a link as an extra resource at the end of the answer.

**What problems is Fin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reducing time invested by chat support team who can focus more on helping customers in other forms.

  ### 42. Support tool for IT admins to customize the platform, hoping for more features, better ticketing.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dejan M. | Team Lead Technician, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 30, 2024

**What do you like best about Fin?**

Intercom is ultimately the best support tool I have worked with (previously used Zendesk and Salesforce). It’s hard to give specific examples, but it’s the platform as a whole that makes it so easy to navigate through the entire help center and help desk. You can easily gain insight into your colleagues and their workload, and it offers a vast number of native features that customer service representatives would typically request. As an administrator, I’m a huge fan. We came from Salesforce, where every desired system change felt like a major operation requiring coding skills. Their entire focus on AI is also perfectly aligned with the direction we want to take with our help center.

**What do you dislike about Fin?**

I think Intercom has focused a bit too much on AI and other advanced features, which has caused them to overlook what I consider to be basic functionality. For example, you can send emails, but you can’t BCC. You can’t export a ticket in the same way as Zendesk, where you get all the data (images, internal notes) — instead, you only get plain text in a .txt file. You can’t create sub-bullet points. They don’t have internal checklists (I miss checklists like the ones in Trello). From my perspective, these are small features, but they are things you expect as a customer, especially when the system can already do 50% of these tasks. There are checklists, but only customer-facing ones. You can send emails but not BCC, and so on.

Additionally, the ticketing system and merge function still need some work. It’s clear that Intercom was originally a chat tool that later expanded into email and ticketing, but they haven’t quite caught up. For example, our customers don’t receive a ticket number unless we enable the "send ticket status emails" option. It’s essential for customers to know their ticket number, but not necessarily to receive updates about every stage of the ticket. This forces us to send status emails just to ensure our customers have their ticket number.

You also can’t change the subject line, which is a major inconvenience. This applies even when I contact Intercom support — all my inquiries are titled "speak to support," making it hard to navigate the ticket portal and the messenger bubble, especially if you have multiple ongoing conversations.

Overall, these are features I miss and believe should be part of a system that already does so much.

**What problems is Fin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Already described

  ### 43. Great product and a team that acts on customer feedback

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jamie S. | Customer Support Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 19, 2024

**What do you like best about Fin?**

The product itself is intuitive and robust and the investment the company has put into its AI offering has really paid off. We've seen a massive improvement in the AI chatbot's answers which are now deflecting around 50% of our conversations and allowing our team to work on more complex issues. The tool integrates with a ton of other products and serves most of the needs we have at the moment. The Customer Support team, as well as our Relationship Manager, are excellent and always super helpful.

**What do you dislike about Fin?**

It's not great for small companies that have multiple products. We are a small support team that wants to be able to support two different customer bases using two different products on different domains in the same workspace, but we currently have to manage two workspaces for the same team. It's also pricey compared to other help desk software, especially since each add on tends be an additional cost. The pricing model is also not great for our business model as far as using the tool for multiple departments (Support, Marketing, and Sales)—if we used it for all three, we would blow out our budget in one of those departments since we have to choose either active users or people reached to be billed for. Because of that, we had to reduce the amount of outbound contacts we were making with Intercom and focus on using it solely as a Support tool.

**What problems is Fin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Intercom's investment in improving automation—both to handle customer conversations and to make support processes less manual—is solving operational inefficiencies and making it so that we can help more customers as our company grows without having to hire more people to the Support team.

  ### 44. Intuitive, always evolving, and speedy support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Fin?**

Intercom’s platform is a game-changer for managing customer and internal knowledge. Its intuitive interface makes creating and updating help articles a breeze, even for non-techies like me—navigation feels natural, and edits are quick. What I love most is how it’s always evolving; they roll out fresh features like AI enhancements that keep it ahead of the curve. The speedy support is another highlight—whenever I’ve hit a snag, their team responds fast with clear, actionable help. Organizing content into folders is seamless, turning chaos into a tidy knowledge hub. It’s not perfect—occasional glitches pop up—but they’re minor compared to the value it delivers. For a tool that blends usability with constant improvement, Intercom’s tough to beat. It’s become my go-to for keeping our team and customers in sync effortlessly.

**What do you dislike about Fin?**

While Intercom’s packed with features, it sometimes feels like overkill for my simpler needs, with bells and whistles I rarely touch—like advanced analytics clogging the interface. The robust toolset, though impressive, can overwhelm when I just want basic article management without sifting through extras like chatbot configs. It’s a bit like getting a Swiss Army knife when all I need is a sharp blade—powerful, but more than my day-to-day calls for.

**What problems is Fin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Intercom tackles the chaos of scattered internal knowledge by centralizing it into an easy-to-navigate hub, saving me hours of digging for answers. It streamlines customer support with quick-access help articles and AI tools, cutting down on repetitive questions from my team and clients. The intuitive setup and speedy updates mean I can keep everything current and relevant, boosting my productivity and team alignment effortlessly.

  ### 45. Intercom is a great tool!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brenna S. | Senior Support Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Fin?**

I think Intercom is very user friendly and has a lot of great tools as far as AI. You can really train the AI to answer a lot of in depth questions. Intercom Support is also very friendly and helpful.

**What do you dislike about Fin?**

I wish there was a way to create multiple folders within your inbox. I preferred their legacy reports over their update reports. I wish there was a way to auto close out email responses like out of office.

**What problems is Fin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Intercom takes a significant amount of chats that would otherwise go to the Support team. We would likely have to triple the size of our team if we didn't have the AI bot.

  ### 46. GAME-CHANGING

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Megan W. | Director of Clinician Support, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2024

**What do you like best about Fin?**

The chat modality has been a game changer for our business, allowing us to provide near-instant support where previously we had been spread across multiple channels. We have been able to integrate several channels/apps that we use, which additionally helps with triaging feedback and customer concerns. The team orients to it quickly, and are able to move within it without too much confusion. We use it all day, every day, and it has been a game changer for our org.

**What do you dislike about Fin?**

There are some data limitations that affect us; it would be great if they could make that side of things more robust.

**What problems is Fin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It used to take a solid amount of time to respond to issues that our users were having, because the team was spread so thin across so many platforms, and it was impossible to actually engage with each of those platforms completely. With Intercom, our turnaround time for providing support is MINUTES. It benefits both our team, and our customers, so we can continue to grow and provide the exceptional level of support we have been.

  ### 47. I am having a blast

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abdelrahman M. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Fin?**

1- Their very generous startup tier.
2- Awesome support
3- The outbound tools are just amazing
4- Integrations with everywhere
5- Adding it to my backend was a pleasure, plug and play pretty much.
6- The team and I can't live without it anymore and use it primarely.

**What do you dislike about Fin?**

I wish there was an easier way for teams to collaborate on one ticket. We chat with each other via comments and it isn't as pleasent.
For mobile view, I wasn't able to modify where the hovering badge was placed, and it covered a bottom nav bar we had.

**What problems is Fin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We as a team of 3 are able to handle tons of chats, deliver user communication proactively and sometimes get help from Fin2 (a bit expensive but can help when the team is away)

  ### 48. Why I Love Using Intercom at work

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Fin?**

What I love most about Intercom is the flexibility it gives me to be creative when designing customer interactions and automation flows. It also provides a clear and organized overview of email templates and makes collecting NPS scores effortless, ensuring a structured and data-driven approach to customer feedback.

At work, we rely on Intercom for Customer Support, handling all incoming messages daily. It integrates seamlessly with our CMS, making communication smooth and efficient. Plus, the implementation was incredibly easy, allowing us to get up and running in no time.

**What do you dislike about Fin?**

Some features are only available in higher-tier subscriptions, which can be limiting for smaller teams or businesses.

**What problems is Fin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Intercom helps us streamline customer support by centralizing all conversations in one place, making it easy to manage and respond to inquiries efficiently. The automation features, like chatbots and workflows, reduce manual workload and ensure customers receive quick and accurate responses.

It also provides a clear overview of email templates and simplifies collecting NPS scores, allowing us to gather valuable customer feedback effortlessly. The seamless integration with our CMS ensures a smooth workflow, and the easy implementation meant we could start using it right away without any hassle. Overall, Intercom saves us time, improves customer engagement, and enhances our support efficiency.

  ### 49. A User-Friendly Support Powerhouse

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Fin?**

*Extremely user-friendly and intuitive interface
*Great design for both agents and users
*Easy in-platform communication between agents and teams
*Robust ticketing and snoozing options for customer support teams, making it easy to reply and handle tickets
*Powerful AI that feels natural to users and learns from support agents, enabling autonomous replies
*Wide range of integrations with other platforms
*Useful features like macros and customizable permissions
*Strong team management capabilities (like custom permissions)

Overall, the best support platform that I have used as an admin.

**What do you dislike about Fin?**

*Marketed as more than just a support platform but primarily excels in support
*Expensive marketing functions
*Building workflows can be challenging
*Advanced reporting options require a higher plan, limiting access to detailed reports for lower-tier users
*High pricing, especially for small businesses

**What problems is Fin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Intercom is solving the challenge of managing customer support efficiently. It provides a user-friendly platform that enhances communication between support teams and customers. This benefits me by streamlining oursupport processes, improving response times, and ensuring that customers receive timely and effective help.

  ### 50. Human-Like Experience Worth the Price, Though a Bit Costly

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Fin?**

FIN is really like a human. I think its worth what it delivers.

**What do you dislike about Fin?**

FIN AI is really expensive and it does not have 1 ability which is to custom escalate - my use case is to escalate each chat to a human

**What problems is Fin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have started using FIN AI and its resolving a lot of queries for us
