Hi! Thank you for your feedback! Regarding the missing time and location data: the reason this metadata isn't imported is that both Android and iOS devices often remove this information as part of their privacy settings during the import process. Once those files are uploaded from your gallery, the metadata is unfortunately no longer available for us to read. To ensure every image is accurately geolocated with its original timestamp, we highly recommend capturing media directly through the Filio Data Collector app. This ensures all your data remains intact and organized.

Hi Ahsan, thank you for the great feedback! Regarding the app 'hanging': while this can sometimes be related to network issues, rest assured that Filio works even without cell service. Your media is completely safe; it is stored securely on your device and will automatically sync once you are back in an area with internet.

If the lag persists, it may be due to the device holding onto too much data. You can easily fix this by going to Settings > Data and Storage and setting the 'Remove synced media' option to one or two weeks. This releases storage and allows your phone's hardware to run the app much faster.

Regarding the app feeling slow: since you are already on the latest version, the lag is likely because your device is holding onto too much local data. You can solve this by going to Settings > ‘Remove synced media’ option to one or two weeks. This will automatically release storage and allow your phone's hardware to run the app much faster.

It sounds like your app might not be syncing in the background properly. Please email us ASAP at contact@filio.io so we can help you get this working right away!

In the meantime, here are three quick things to check:

Update the app: Older versions can sometimes have syncing issues.

Leave the app open: Please do not swipe up to close the app. It needs to remain open in the background to sync your media.

Check your data settings: Make sure Filio has permission to use both Wi-Fi and Cellular Data in your phone's settings.
