  ### 2. Filezilla Puts The File in Everything

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Devon D. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2020

**What do you like best about FileZilla?**

I love that Filezilla is a full-service file management tool. It was designed to be used for things like web hosting to move files around using FTP or SFTP, etc. I have found more practical uses for this software than I think the company may even realize. I love that I can use it to not only manage FTP transactions but without having to go into my settings or type a specific key combination, I can actually see hidden files on my computers. I also love that I can use Filezilla to permanently delete files that I would otherwise not be able to delete. On my Mac, I can actually delete the file without having to send it to the trash bin and then go to the trash bin to permanently delete it. I literally can delete it from the entire device from the local file side of the window. The other amazing thing about Filezilla and file deletion is this: I was recently blocked from accessing my OneDrive which allows you to keep a local shortcut to files in the cloud. With being blocked I couldn't access those files to even delete them. With Filezilla, I was able to actually permanently delete files and folders. This software is a must have on any computer I have (and I have 3). I also looooove that the file search feature on Filezilla is a billion times better than the search feature native to Windows OS and Mac OS.

**What do you dislike about FileZilla?**

I dislike that Filezilla has so many frequent updates. It can actually be discouraging to someone newer to the software than me. It does get annoying. I know the company wants to always have a great working software and it is exactly that. However, I think reducing the number of updates in a given year would also be a great thing, or even implementing auto updates as some other software have.

**Recommendations to others considering FileZilla:**

Be sure to read about FTP/SFTP/etc. before using this software for that purpose if you are unfamiliar. Aside from that, start exploring what the software has to offer. If you decide to use it for file management on your computer, be careful of what folder you go into. There are folder this software can access that may require a password and it can also access system files, so if you delete a crucial Windows OS or Mac OS file, it may not be reversible and could lead to a crashed system with lost files. Be careful when doing any file moving or deleting. This is not a software with an undo feature. Discipline and vigilance are essential here.

**What problems is FileZilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am solving all of my challenges and hiccups with file search and moving files between my devices and the cloud or servers. I think Filezilla is a tool built to be optimized based on the user's needs. There's still plenty about the software I haven't even used yet. But the tool is absolutely amazing.

Simple to update, quick to use and simple to make. It's very robust and costly tech.

**What problems is FileZilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Terri R. | Laboratory Operations Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 20, 2020

**What do you like best about FileZilla?**

The design of the front end is simple and offers many useful features. For each downloaded or uploaded file we can now see the improvements. For individual files or for file groups we can established the primary focus. The transmission speed is generally high. Before file transfer starts, or during transfer, I can set delete laws. In order to better diagnose a connection issue, I can see the Server connection details.

**What do you dislike about FileZilla?**

It can be unusually difficult to stop some transfers, as if I accidentally include certain unintended files. I'm going to stop a transfer sometimes but the transfer continues. This can make me dizzy if the transfer involves large quantities of files.

**Recommendations to others considering FileZilla:**

FileZilla is supposed to provide the larger and smaller businesses with a position that the FTP client needs. You might also want to put thier files and in repository, zip them once more and exchange the wedged documents if you need to move them faster.

**What problems is FileZilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

If another http format was used and creates a huge burden for the servers to post or copy a large amount of files. In spite of overworking mutual servers, Filezilla means allowing efficient and reliable use of another FTP protocol. This same software is trustworthy and knows how to manage the typically blocked server link errors.

  ### 14. With FileZilla you will be connected to your hosting in seconds

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nicolas C. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 17, 2020

**What do you like best about FileZilla?**

* It is very easy to move files from one directory to another.
* It is compatible with PuTTy.
* Allows you to search for files remotely.
* Does not suffer unexpected falls.
* It has a function to reconnect to the last used server.

**What do you dislike about FileZilla?**

* Files cannot be edited through FileZilla. It is necessary to download them and then edit them.
* The network setup wizard is not friendly for novice users.

**Recommendations to others considering FileZilla:**

FileZilla is easy to use software for non-technical users. I recommend that you give it a try as it has an open source version, however the more advanced tools are available in the paid version.

**What problems is FileZilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use FileZilla to transfer files to my website account because there is no size limit for files. It solves the problems I previously had to transfer files to my website hosting, where the transfer was canceled if the files exceeded 500 MB.

  ### 15. The best file transfer application for hosting accounts

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lewis B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 04, 2020

**What do you like best about FileZilla?**

The frontend design is simple and has a menu with lots of useful options. We can see the progress for each and every downloaded or upload file. We can set the priority for single files or for groups of files. The speed of transfer is usually great. I can set the overwrite rules before file transfers start or during transfers. I can see the server connection details to better diagnose connection issue that might arise.

**What do you dislike about FileZilla?**

Stopping some of the transfers, like when I accidentally include some unintended files, can oddly be difficult to stop. I'll sometimes stop a transfer but the transfer keeps going. This can give me headaches when there are large amounts of files in the transfer.

**Recommendations to others considering FileZilla:**

Using the file transfer priorities on smaller files usually lets me get overall transfers done faster. I can also manage possible transfer errors more efficiently that way.

**What problems is FileZilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

File uploads and downloads can be initiated and managed in a way that is as intuitive as Windows Explorer. We can put massive amounts of files online within seconds by just starting transfers and letting them run. I can also manage the file and folder permissions. FileZilla is a much better alternative to standard hosting account tools.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Omi K. | Frontend Web Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 15, 2020

**What do you like best about FileZilla?**

The best part of the FileZilla is you do not have to worry about the changes. Unlike in Linux, you have to ssh and then edit your code. But in FileZilla, you can download the file. Do the required changes and then upload the file again. You can also take the backup of the files by downloading them.

Also, you can just create the XML file of the site details and upload it, by doing that you can use the file on multiple Filezilla to have the acces of the given site

**What do you dislike about FileZilla?**

Sometimes uploading the folder or downloading thee folder takes few minutes to complete the process. The rest of the things works fine.

**Recommendations to others considering FileZilla:**

If you are using windows and have to edit the files. Do not go for the Cpanel. Just create the FTP account and use Filezilla or that. It is more secure than Cpanel and you can give them access to the developers with whom you do not want to share all Cpanel login details. Users will not have access of PHPMyAdmin if the will use the Filezilla.

**What problems is FileZilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

If we have to do change son the staging site or on the production. Then we can do it directly from Filezilla. Right now I am working on a project and handling all the changes using Filezilla

FileZilla is an application that supports multiple protocols. It is quite easy to use and the connection is often stable. I like that your customer service is always available to answer any questions that may arise regarding the use of the software. Another reason why I like this software is that I can connect to multiple servers simultaneously.

**Recommendations to others considering FileZilla:**

Easy to install, easy to learn to use and easy to configure. It is very stable software and it has a good price.

I don't find any real negative points. FileZilla is simple and qualitative. Certainly sometimes the file transfer could be faster but I don't think this is due to the software (but rather to my company's Internet connection).

**Recommendations to others considering FileZilla:**

If you are looking for an easy and performant file transfer software, don't be afraid, and try it ;)

**Reviewed by:** Dafydd A. | Land Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2020

**What do you like best about FileZilla?**

Filezilla provides an elegant gui that allows me to access all the data on mine Authenticated users, it lets me to modify, uninstall and push anything I need, and I can create numerous simultaneous links with Filezilla that allows me to migrate information from several locations in the city. more than anything else, I don't even need to master any commands, mostly with the cursor if I want to do my work.

**What do you dislike about FileZilla?**

The source code is only partially implemented in many countries, which wants to make usage frustrating when using these spellings. For this purpose, I suggest using the original text or using it only in environments where the translation phase is still at an intense level, if you choose a copy.

**Recommendations to others considering FileZilla:**

FileZilla should be in a position that would provide the FTP client would need for small and large industries. However, if you need to move your files any quicker, you may want to put them in the archive, zip them again and transfer the tucked document.

**What problems is FileZilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

If the http format is used, posting or copying a huge amount of files generates a tremendous burden on the servers. Filezilla allows efficient and stable usage of the FTP protocol, despite overworking mutual servers. The code is reliable and understands how to manage link errors typically seen in bloated servers.

  ### 29. Great software but still needs slight modifications

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Deepak S. | Founder and CEO, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 06, 2019

**What do you like best about FileZilla?**

Overall it's a great software to connect to any server, UI is simple and smooth, it makes the work of file management easier and the transfer speed is good as compared to other software's, I personally recommend this to all and even in the company also we prefer Filezilla over any other software. It also supports AWS instances now, so basically we have cloud storage access in FileZilla also, What's better than that, my all AWS instances are configured on it.

**What do you dislike about FileZilla?**

It sometimes crashes and while transferring a file sometimes it needs 2-3 times confirmation for the same file, I am not sure that's the FileZilla issue or any internet speed issue.

**Recommendations to others considering FileZilla:**

You should always try once, I am sure once you try you will start using it on a daily basis for all the file management needs on the server. It also supports AWS instances now.

**What problems is FileZilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We solved the problem of file management while deploying the project on the server. It solved the issue of transferring the files and saves our time instead of putting a dedicated person to track all the transfer process.

  ### 30. Filezilla - Manage you web files.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 04, 2021

**What do you like best about FileZilla?**

Filezilla is very useful software when it comes to managing the files of my web servers, with this tool I can move, create folders and delete what I need in a simple way.

**What do you dislike about FileZilla?**

The bad thing is the speed of your connection, this is usually slow, it also allows me to decompress zip files directly from its interface.

**Recommendations to others considering FileZilla:**

Filezilla is available on most current operating systems, and it also supports many protocols such as FTP, SFTP.

**What problems is FileZilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This tool has been very useful to efficiently manage our files, it allows us to make a quick connection and I can also have a connection directory is very useful.

  ### 31. The best tool for managing FTP servers

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Erika S. | Atencion al cliente, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2020

**What do you like best about FileZilla?**

Filezilla has an intuitive interface with which I can manage all the files on my FTP servers, it allows me to edit, delete and move everything I need, also with Filezilla I can make several parallel connections which allows me to transfer files from several sites at the same time , best of all, I don't need to learn any kind of command, only with the mouse can I do my job.

**What do you dislike about FileZilla?**

Sometimes the connection takes time to complete, and I also consider that downloading and uploading large files takes too long.

**Recommendations to others considering FileZilla:**

It is a tool that I can recommend to all my colleagues, with it they will be able to do their work faster and in less time, and best of all, filezilla has a completely free version.

**What problems is FileZilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Filezilla is used to update the files of our different web pages, with it I can make a direct connection to our site and modify what I need without setbacks.

  ### 32. Best FTP provider for your Hosting Server

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Samir P. | Php Sql Developer, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 23, 2019

**What do you like best about FileZilla?**

Easy to configure and better than Cpanel for handling upload and managing files.

**What do you dislike about FileZilla?**

Slow response for large files in previous, New update just awesome

**Recommendations to others considering FileZilla:**

I think file zilla is best. Please stay with this UI. I tried with some other FTP Client like cute FTP, core FTP, built-in windows FTP client but I never found powerful FTP client like Filezilla while remaining very easy to use

**What problems is FileZilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Drag and drop to upload, you can make Queues, Synchronized directory browsing and searching facility for server file

  ### 33. Efficient , Effective -- Free!!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Franz P. | Managing Director, Internet, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2020

**What do you like best about FileZilla?**

The ease of:
1-Uploading Files and Folders to the remote environment
2- Downloading files and folders to your local environment
3- Deleting files from the remote environment
4 great account management for FTP accounts
5 - Great security options for uploading and downloading

**What do you dislike about FileZilla?**

I think there is inherently a lack of version control that serious projects require. As a matter of philosophy, the practice of merely uploading without version control has become increasingly perilous to great development.

**Recommendations to others considering FileZilla:**

Simple uploading /downloading/deletion of files and folders

**What problems is FileZilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I think getting quick prototypes up really quickly without much review is the major benefit of Filezilla. If you have an obvious fix, Filezilla makes that just a breeze. However, most quick fixes can be done from the CMS these days so even this has become less useful for me

  ### 34. The best software to manage files via FTP

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 08, 2020

**What do you like best about FileZilla?**

Filezilla was compatible with all servers with which I have already used it for FTP connection, always with good performance and few sending errors even on overloaded servers. Some positive points are the ease of resending files that failed to upload and the simple user interface that is easy to use even when using Filezilla for the first time.
In fact, Filezilla's big plus point is its ease of use. The graphical interface is similar to a Linux / Windows file explorer and most of the actions are intuitive.
Another positive point is the community, there are several tutorials available and it is possible to resolve most of your doubts in the user community.

**What do you dislike about FileZilla?**

The software is only partially translated into several languages, using these translations makes its use confusing. For this reason, I recommend using the English version or, if you prefer a translation, use only in languages where the translation process is at an advanced stage.

**Recommendations to others considering FileZilla:**

This software is an open source project and is available for download on several websites. Always try to download it from the official website, as this prevents you from installing an old version or the possibility that some adware is offered during the installation process.

**What problems is FileZilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sending large numbers of files, such as files from a CMS, can be time-consuming when the destination server does not accept compressed files or has a file size limitation for uploading via http. Filezilla allows file management via FTP in an easy and agile way, allowing file synchronization and several other useful functions.

  ### 35. FileZilla: A fast and secure transfer application

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luis T. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 21, 2020

**What do you like best about FileZilla?**

I like FileZilla for how intuitive its GUI is. We can carry out fast connections, since communication with the servers occurs almost instantaneously. I also find it very useful that the program allows you to save the session passwords, so that you do not have to transcribe the data every time you want to make a connection. Another reason I like FileZilla is because files can be transferred either by searching for them in the directory, or by dragging and dropping them from the local server to the web server.

**What do you dislike about FileZilla?**

Overall I think FileZilla performs very well except for its router setup wizard which is very confusing and so far I have not learned how to use it.

**Recommendations to others considering FileZilla:**

FileZilla is a fast tool and a low price. If you are a web developer, you will need this application to access your web hosting, as it will surely give you a better user experience than that of the hosting administrator.

**What problems is FileZilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use FileZilla to manually manage files on our website servers. I can load the queued files and forget about the task, while everything is done automatically. Furthermore, I can also connect to servers like Amazon S3 and Dropbox.

  ### 36. Free And Full Featured FTP

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matt B. | Director, Product Development, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 03, 2020

**What do you like best about FileZilla?**

I most like that this FTP software is free and not ad-supported. It contains all the features you would want and it's updated regularly. It works reliably.

**What do you dislike about FileZilla?**

The process of updating the app is disruptive. Every couple weeks I'm prompted to update when opening the app. I would rather the update be more subtle or that I could configure it to update automatically.

**What problems is FileZilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

FileZilla meets my need to transfer HTML, CSS, JavaScript, images, PDFs and other files to web servers for the websites I manage as part of my freelance work. I like that it's a free and fully supported solution. It replaced my previous usage of GlobalScape's CuteFTP.

  ### 37. Filezilla is a complete solution for managing files via FTP

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2020

**What do you like best about FileZilla?**

The filezilla is easy to use, the folders are displayed in the same way as this is done in the operating system and if there is an error in sending a file you can solve this by resending these files with a few clicks and in an intuitive way.

**What do you dislike about FileZilla?**

Filezilla has been very competent in solving the main problems reported by the community, such as the fact that the SFTP protocol has not been compatible with filezilla for years, which greatly reduced security when transferring files. I already had some specific problems with Filezilla, such as the need to download an external configuration file to connect to a server that did not accept the credentials sent by the software and other small bugs. However, I had no major problems using the most current version of this product.

**Recommendations to others considering FileZilla:**

Filezilla at least deserves to be tested, although FTP software is not very different from one another for those who just want to transfer files to a server, this software does this with great performance and knows how to handle overloaded or poorly configured servers very well.

**What problems is FileZilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Transferring large files or a large number of files via HTTP is often not feasible. The limitations of CPU and active process time end up making it difficult to do this without negatively affecting the performance of a server and consequently worsening the user experience.
Filezilla was my choice to do this via FTP, a protocol better adapted to this type of file transfer.

  ### 38. FileZilla is software to simplify the administration of your website

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Victor B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2020

**What do you like best about FileZilla?**

FileZilla is a client that will make it easy for you to manage your website. One of the features that I like is its strong encryption levels, which guarantee the connection to your web server. I also like that there is an option to configure the upload speed limits.

**What do you dislike about FileZilla?**

FileZilla experiences multiple disconnects when transferring large files, which delays the upload too long. Sometimes it may not even be able to resume loading on its own, so you must be supervising that it is working correctly.

**Recommendations to others considering FileZilla:**

I recommend that you use FileZilla to manage the files on your website. It is much simpler and more reliable than using the file manager of your hosting. Also, it has a free version.

**What problems is FileZilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With FileZilla I can easily download the backups that cPanel creates from our website. In addition, I can also upload images to create the posts. Previously, I used the cPanel file manager, but it crashed with large files.

  ### 39. FileZilla - The best FTP transfer wizard

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adnan A. | SME Optimization, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 14, 2020

**What do you like best about FileZilla?**

It's ability to transfer file swiftly without any interruption. I have been using this software for over 5 years now and never have I ever faced any issue while using it. To top it up, this software does not need license and can be used for free.

**What do you dislike about FileZilla?**

Nothing actually. The connection is fast, the file transfer is fast, the software is secure and trustworthy

**What problems is FileZilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Daily FTP file transfer, very user-friendly, very fast, and accurate

  ### 40. FileZilla is a simple File Server migration framework

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mahesh A. | Engineer Design, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2020

**What do you like best about FileZilla?**

I love just how Filezilla manages big and large transfers of data, particularly when I switch pages to a new server. Typically I do it manual with Filezilla, since I don't trust those latest apps that pop up ads that can quickly move sites with only a few taps, yet then render it harder and waste energy. With Filezilla it will easily restore disconnected transfers raising errors and lost data.

**What do you dislike about FileZilla?**

The FileZilla software has performed well but is structurally suitable for the sorts of forms I want to interact with data, but in my experience the overall aesthetics are not equal to current expectations. I believe the choices of the font and the overall presentation of the skin seem like they relate to apps produced age ago.

**Recommendations to others considering FileZilla:**

If you're sick of downloading files to websites focused online, because it's sluggish, you need an update. Then you really should start using FileZilla because you can import your files in just a short time and keep your login details right on your fingertips.

**What problems is FileZilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helped me to get some of my login information in a protected position and move my files to a safe network without any losses. I could upload a whole web site easily in five minutes by using FileZilla. Its approach has saved me a huge deal of time.

  ### 41. Reliable and Stable FileZilla

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Henry M. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 24, 2020

**What do you like best about FileZilla?**

File transfer is simple to set up and configure. FileZilla is a pretty fast and stable way of moving files from a local computer to a remote one via an internet connection. I can use FileZilla to set up multiple connections.

**What do you dislike about FileZilla?**

It loses connection when the network is not good. It is not simple to schedule uploads with Filezilla without a couple of hacks

**Recommendations to others considering FileZilla:**

Professionals use FileZilla to make efficient FTP File transfers

**What problems is FileZilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

FileZilla helps me move files when I work on a website from my computer to a remote server in a more stable way that uploading using the hosting platform's uploading interface

  ### 42. The file transfer program is small, easy and useful

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dipti M. | Sr. Project Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2020

**What do you like best about FileZilla?**

I love how Filezilla manages large and small file transfers, especially when I switch sites to a new server. Typically I do it manually with Filezilla because, with only a few taps, I don't trust the new software that sell, but make it all the worse and use precious time. With Filezilla, disconnected transactions can be restored without any problems to reduce errors and damaged files.

**What do you dislike about FileZilla?**

The disadvantages of FileZilla don't make me hate the program, but it will surely be better if I made some minor changes. If the software requires you to make a profile with your needs, the pop-up' will show as you load info, so it's wise to leave it in the default option once you start this project. You want to uninstall this tab. When it can always be annoying.

**Recommendations to others considering FileZilla:**

All clients can use this switch file system, whether this is the local computer or the remote server, to move their files from one location to another. It's really helpful when the archive changes and you need to check it in real time with your servers and remote network. It's really popular because it's affordable.

**What problems is FileZilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

  ### 43. FileZilla provides quick and competent file transfer capability to remote sites

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Seth R. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 02, 2020

**What do you like best about FileZilla?**

FileZilla is extremely easy to setup and configure, and offers an easy to use drag and drop interface to manage file transfers.

**What do you dislike about FileZilla?**

Interface is a little bit outdated and not very visually stimulating, but it gets the job done!

**What problems is FileZilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a simple and secure way to manage File Transfer Protocol connections to our remote web server for uploading of content. FileZilla provides this with a fantastic price tag - free!

  ### 44. Filezilla is my app for sending or copying a large amount of files on shared servers.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pedro M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 23, 2020

**What do you like best about FileZilla?**

Filezilla is a lightweight application that has all the functions most needed in an FTP application. The ease of resending files that have failed to upload, for example, make Filezilla a better way to upload a large number of files on slow or shared servers than the hosting control panel by uploading using http/https protocols.

**What do you dislike about FileZilla?**

Sometimes the FTP connection to the server is rejected using the same data as a previous connection that was successful. This forces the user to generate a configuration file in the hosting control panel instead of filling in the connection data manually which is often faster.

**Recommendations to others considering FileZilla:**

If you are going to use Filezilla to upload files to your own servers, the free version is sufficient. However, it is important to say that there is a paid version of this application that has native integration with the main CDN services which can be useful for website administrators or large companies that usually use these services.

**What problems is FileZilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Uploading or downloading a large number of files creates a large load on the servers when the http protocol is used. Filezilla allows the FTP protocol to be used safely and without overloading shared servers. The application is efficient and knows how to deal with connection errors that are common in overloaded servers.

  ### 45. Never Fails Me Everytime

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Damian A. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2020

**What do you like best about FileZilla?**

I just love how Filezilla handles huge and massive file transfers, especially when I move sites to a new server. I usually do it manually with Filezilla as I do not trust those new tools popping out that advertises they can migrate sites easily with just a few clicks, but instead just make everything worst and consumes precious time. With Filezilla, it can resume disconnected transfers in a seamless manner reducing errors and corrupted files.

**What do you dislike about FileZilla?**

I just hope, someday, it could support remote server to remote server transfer.

**Recommendations to others considering FileZilla:**

Never pay, ever, for any FTP tool. Filezilla is free and it is the best that I have used, and I have not change it since then.

**What problems is FileZilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

More consistent file transfer to web server from local or the other way around. Also have more advanced options with its Site Manager, to better secure the transfers from what settings you want.

  ### 46. Filezilla is the best ftp program

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ben B. | Core Web Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 25, 2020

**What do you like best about FileZilla?**

Its fast and robust, it keeps a manager of all my ftp logins, does sftp, can do ftp through multiple tabs - oh and its free!

**What do you dislike about FileZilla?**

some features are pro and they update it all the time which is good - but the alerts are annoying

**Recommendations to others considering FileZilla:**

I've tried and used a lot of ftp programs, some are archaic and frustrating, some confusing, this one works great and is easy to learn and use, the world uses filezilla

**What problems is FileZilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

when I was using ftp through dreamweaver it would disconnect after 100MB uploads - filezilla has no such limitations

  ### 47. FileZilla

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Practice | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 13, 2020

**What do you like best about FileZilla?**

Being able to retrieve archived documents.

**What do you dislike about FileZilla?**

Some times it is difficult to log on to the server especially when updates are done.

**Recommendations to others considering FileZilla:**

It is a great tool especially for large practices where you can obtain dictated documents from one location or source

**What problems is FileZilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am not solving any issues. I have benefited a lot while I was using FileZilla. I was able to obtain all of my documents for all the providers within the practice from one place.

  ### 48. FileZilla is a reliable FTP client that meets the needs of most users.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fernando R. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 18, 2020

**What do you like best about FileZilla?**

FileZilla is able to perform its function objectively and does not require any kind of advanced configuration to work for the first time. The application's performance is great and it knows how to work around the problems caused by overloaded servers and common errors when uploading files to a server. There is a Wiki for those who want to learn more about the operation of this application and there is a large community of users who can help you.

**What do you dislike about FileZilla?**

Often the connection to the server is not accepted when entering the necessary information, being possible to connect only using a ready FTP configuration file made available by the hosting control panel.
This problem is common to other similar software and can originate from the server, yet it is frustrating to have the connection refused without knowing the reason.

**Recommendations to others considering FileZilla:**

FileZilla is a free FTP client solution and is extremely reliable. If you have time to evaluate this product, chances are it will meet your needs. The learning curve is short or even 100% intuitive for those who have used similar software before.

**What problems is FileZilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The hosting control panels have improved over time, however they tend to use a lot of server resources and return errors when the uploaded files are very large or there are a lot of different files in an upload. An FTP program like FileZilla can solve this problem by sending large amounts of files without jeopardizing the performance of a less powerful or shared server.

  ### 49. An open source FTP app that works better than I expected

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Herb P. | Web Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 02, 2019

**What do you like best about FileZilla?**

Open source software can often be clunky and poorly designed compared to its paid counterparts. FileZilla surprised my first by its many features that make the server connection and file transferring process happen as smooth as can be. The Site Manager is a powerful feature that is great for letting me to connect fast to the many web hosting accounts I have. I can even connect to folders within the account and add bookmarks to multiple folders.

**What do you dislike about FileZilla?**

The FileZilla program has functioned well and is structurally ideal for the types of ways I like to work with files, but the general aesthetic is not up to modern standards, in my opinion. I think the font choices and the general look of the skin look like they belong to software created ages ago.

**Recommendations to others considering FileZilla:**

FileZilla should be able to provide the FTP client needs for businesses that are large or small. If you need to transfer even faster though, you might want to place your files into folder, zip it and then upload the zipped folder.

**What problems is FileZilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

FileZilla is used by me and associates to transfer files to and from our website folders in the back end. We don't need to log into any website or go through many steps to get connected with we can save and activate our connections with a mouse click by using the Site Manager feature in FileZilla. Our company also saves money on software costs since FileZilla is open source.

  ### 50. FileZilla Review

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steven K. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about FileZilla?**

The program is also secure in that it can protect your data in case one is connecting to the server.
The software also can enable on to transfer huge or little amounts of files on the web server so easily

**What do you dislike about FileZilla?**

Some of the software's features are becoming outdated and new no features are being invented.
Some features also re not really supported over the https
Sometimes the process of filtering active ftp connections gets hard on my computer which is annoying.

I would recommend that the software is awesome, it eases the process of transferring files, uploading and downloading files. generally the application is so good you can trust me because i have used it before and its amazing.

**What problems is FileZilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**
