**Reviewed Date:** March 20, 2019

**What do you like best about FileZilla?**

Filezilla is simple to use and it feels safe and secure while your using it.

**What do you dislike about FileZilla?**

It can be a bit tedious work through some of the processes but overall its been good.

**What problems is FileZilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For the most part we are using filezilla for secure file transfer between customers and ourselves.

 ### 2. FileZilla is a great program for transferring files

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carmen B. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2018

**What do you like best about FileZilla?**

Filezilla is an easy-to-use tool for adding files to any server you have access to. It has been very useful when uploading hundreds of photos. We also use it when clients have several files that need to be uploaded to their site to migrate the site or simply perform massive updates.

**What do you dislike about FileZilla?**

Sometimes I disconnect from the servers and the files do not process. This issue is not necessarily a problem with Filezilla; it is very possible that the disconnection is the result of my network.

**Recommendations to others considering FileZilla:**

I recommend using this product because it is easy to use, has an intuitive and simple interface, and also allows the transfer of large files between machines on the same network, ideal when working with servers. Also, from the interface, it allows copying a file simply by dragging it to the destination site, whether it's the local computer or the destination computer.

**What problems is FileZilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quick way to transfer massive files. I can set it up and forget it. It's great to have a tool to transfer files to servers quickly. I can start the transfer and let it do its thing. If something doesn't transfer, Filezilla gives me a list and I just retry them.

 ### 3. FileZilla Review

**Reviewed Date:** October 12, 2019

**What do you like best about FileZilla?**

Easy quick connect option that remembers previous logins.

**What do you dislike about FileZilla?**

Nothing. Works as needed and no problems encountered.

**What problems is FileZilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Transferring files to cloud services

 ### 4. FTP Transfer

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Josebas L. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 23, 2018

**What do you like best about FileZilla?**

You can connect to your servers through the desired port simply with the IP address, username, password, and port; it is very good and efficient. Additionally, you can create multiple user accounts to access the server directly with just a click.

**What do you dislike about FileZilla?**

Sometimes it doesn't access the server and gives errors, plus the application is quite annoying when they update it since it is updated continuously and every time you open the application it shows a quite annoying menu.

Processes cannot be automated and most FTP servers have very little capacity to encrypt files from source to destination.

**Recommendations to others considering FileZilla:**

I recommend downloading it and trying it since it's free. If you're not very familiar with how to use the application, you should watch tutorials or guides on how to get started in the world of file transfers via FTP.

**What problems is FileZilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Thanks to Filezilla, I can perform massive file transfers to my servers; it is very fast and straightforward. Additionally, it has allowed me to resume previous file downloads. If you send through port 22, you ensure that the connection is secure.

 ### 5. FileZilla, the leading open-source FTP client

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Benjamín G. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2018

**What do you like best about FileZilla?**

FileZilla is an FTP client that allows you to use this protocol for website management. It is very easy to configure and install. You just need to obtain the server data you want to connect to, add it to FileZilla, and that's it, you will be able to access the site you are managing in a simple and fast way. It supports the FTPS protocol, which is an improvement of the FTP protocol that allows secure connections over TLS. It allows you to drag any file stored on your local machine to the destination server, edit the server files without having to worry about re-uploading the modifications.

**What do you dislike about FileZilla?**

I like everything about FileZilla except the interface, as it is very simple, and the way it manages bandwidth by default. If you don't configure it and have a slow connection, you might end up without a connection, since by default FileZilla uses all the available bandwidth.

**Recommendations to others considering FileZilla:**

FileZilla is the leading FTP client on the market, and best of all, it is completely free and open source. For any project you set up, whether amateur or professional, it is practically indispensable to use this software, as you have all the support from its creators. In short, you can use other clients, but this one is undoubtedly the best.

**What problems is FileZilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

FileZilla is great for managing our website, which runs on a Linux server. We make the connection with FTP over TLS, which implies a fast and secure connection on our servers.

 ### 6. FileZilla: The Best FTP Client Available

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ryan V. | Senior Editor, Broadcast Media, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2018

**What do you like best about FileZilla?**

-Interface shows you everything you need: The local computer directory, the remote site directory, the queued, failed and successful transfers.
-Interface is multi-lingual and can be customized to suit your needs.
-Multi-tab site managing (before it was 1 site 1 tab)
- Can upload an entire website in seconds
- Free
- Runs on all platforms Windows Mac OS and Linux
-Very fast transfer upload and download speed
-Best file management system on the market

**What do you dislike about FileZilla?**

-"Could not connect to server" problem always comes and goes
-Constant updates
- Need very specific directory instructions when setting up a new ftp host
-Learning curve for server setup is steep.

**Recommendations to others considering FileZilla:**

-Connections to servers closes during used periods. When not using the program, close it.
-Renaming a file also renames it's extension so be wary.
-

**What problems is FileZilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a HUGE database of video and photo files (of various formats) on separate SSDs connected to a major server. FileZilla allows my team to upload small to large files to specific directories and set designated directories to different media.

I can fix, re-upload and located media quickly, efficiently and on one screen.

 ### 7. Required for uploading to certain systems

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sylvia H. | Clinical Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 08, 2019

**What do you like best about FileZilla?**

It works how it should work, and sends the files to the remote office with no problems.

**What do you dislike about FileZilla?**

I don't have any problems with FileZIlla so I could not tell you anything I dislike.

**Recommendations to others considering FileZilla:**

Filezilla is free software.

**What problems is FileZilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have to use FileZilla to upload files to our assessment office, who take the scanned uploaded papers and use them to start a client assessment. It is like a shared folder but works remotely. It works fine and I have never had any problems with it.

 ### 8. Great for large file transfers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 24, 2019

**What do you like best about FileZilla?**

The Program is great for moving large files, keeping files organized And is very easy to use.

**What do you dislike about FileZilla?**

The UI is pretty dated looking, and transfers can be slow sometimes, but I’m not sure if that’s the program or our Internet access

**What problems is FileZilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It’s a great way to share files with departments at other locations

 ### 9. easy to use, works efficiently, multilingual.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** amanda n. | back-end developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 12, 2019

**What do you like best about FileZilla?**

FileZilla is good for beginners as is easy to use. Although it was designed for Linux but works efficiently on all operating systems. It has tabbed interface which helps users to get files in appropriate directories. It transfers files over SSL for added security. It also supports multiple languages.

**What do you dislike about FileZilla?**

In FileZilla, secure transfers are not the default method. The protocol (FTP) used in FileZilla is becoming outdated.

**What problems is FileZilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

FileZilla is an open source project and can be downloaded for free. It is a useful option for individuals who prefer HTML to design their websites.

 ### 10. FTP for everyone

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Human Resources | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2018

**What do you like best about FileZilla?**

In my opinion, the best solution for an FTP server or client currently is very easy to learn to use and configure. You only need to download it for free from the official website. Perform the step-by-step installation, which is very simple, and once installed, it automatically checks that there are no updates. You just need to add a new site where you have to configure the IP address or name and the access data to it. It also allows secure FTP connections (FTPS, as it does not support SFTP). Otherwise, once you have connected to the corresponding site (you can configure several), you just have to use the explorer at the bottom to navigate locally (left) and the remote site (right) and drag files or folders to move them from one location to another.

**What do you dislike about FileZilla?**

the interface can be improved a lot, it is a bit simple and the menu section is very cluttered, otherwise it is a very versatile and powerful tool.

**Recommendations to others considering FileZilla:**

powerful tool for managing FTP connections, you can make several simultaneous connections and moving files is as simple as dragging them from one place to another. Definitely recommended to anyone looking for an application to manage connections to FTP folders.

**What problems is FileZilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

it is the means used to upload and download files from the FTP folders shared by the organization's departments. It is also used by web designers and programmers to make changes to the company's websites.

 ### 11. quick and fast ftp client

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Patricia X. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 16, 2018

**What do you like best about FileZilla?**

What I like best is how fast it is to acces to my ftp. It does not take a long to manage it because you just have to put all the data that your host provider gives you, that's it. Once you are in, you can see easily all your folders. The upload system is very intuitive, you just have to select all the files and drag them to the folder of your ftp.

**What do you dislike about FileZilla?**

I would prefer if fillezilla could integrate a text editor to edit your files directly to your ftp Other than that, it's a great software.

**Recommendations to others considering FileZilla:**

I would recomend it to all the professionals that need a free software to manage and upload files to a ftp.

**What problems is FileZilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it to manage files and folders of my ftp. I usually have to upload a large amount of files at a time and it allows me to do it fast and secure.

 ### 12. One of My First FTP clients

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Phuc T. | Web Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2018

**What do you like best about FileZilla?**

Filezilla is simple and straight forward.. I've used a much older file transfer back then but this has a nice simple interface. I've used this application for years for general use of file transfer, so I don't believe I have used any other advanced features that this application may have.

Other features are that you can do with this that is useful is to save server information. This is important and efficient for those who don't remember or don't want to type in credentials each time.
Another nice thing is that the navigation system on one has a tree hierarchy.

Clicking on the directories from the tree hierarchy, will open up the list of files on the pane below it. This is useful, having the dual visual, rather than having to get into the folder, and losing the visual of where you are in the hierarchy.

In addition, you can see your local files on the left, and server files on the right. So you can easily and conveniently drag and drop, or double click to transfer one to the other... instead of having to open a separate file directory application and transferring over.

Another useful feature is being able to choose a default file editor, instead of any native application text editor. Usually the built in editors aren't that advanced or even color coded, so using your own is great. It will open right up automatically when you click to edit.

Some other features is
- Keeping yourself logged in for awhile (instead of being logged out too soon).
- There's also log messages to help you know of the connect status when you initially connect, or any file transfer errors.

**What do you dislike about FileZilla?**

One of the slight things that could be made better is the navigation system for files. At least the prior versions, whenever I upload things, it seems to refresh repeatedly and it is harder to view where we left off or multitask. However this may be universal with other file clients.

**Recommendations to others considering FileZilla:**

If you're looking for a simple file transfer tool, this is pretty good.

**What problems is FileZilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Just general transferring files quickly with a GUI, (seeing a visual), if I don't want to use SSH.

 ### 13. It is a software for allocating files over the internet.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** hannah j. | frontend developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 15, 2019

**What do you like best about FileZilla?**

It manages remote files. It allows you to share more than 8MBs of data. It works very well with MS-Excel. It allows you to keypair files with Amazon AWS .

**What do you dislike about FileZilla?**

It has a very old-fashioned interface. It requires very high-speed internet connection. It is not very secure. You can customize the dashboard.

**What problems is FileZilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has a very responsive customer support system. It is free to use. It is very easy to use.

 ### 14. Filezilla review

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Defense & Space | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 31, 2019

**What do you like best about FileZilla?**

It’s a simple ftp software to drag and drop files or other third party vendors in a safe and secure manner. It’s easy to move files to the third party as you would drag it into the file setup from their end. I was lucky since the third party did the initial setup for the software so I’m not sure of the ease for that part.

**What do you dislike about FileZilla?**

It’s a bit hard to see exactly where I’m pulling the file from my end since it’s kind of cutoff and limited space to see it. The password limitations make it hard to create a password that is easy to remember.

**Recommendations to others considering FileZilla:**

Need to upgrade the software.

**What problems is FileZilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It’s great to use to send files to another organization quickly and in a secure manner.

 ### 15. Connect to your FTP server with FILEZILLA

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alicia S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 01, 2018

**What do you like best about FileZilla?**

Filezilla is open source or free software. It is free. It is backed by a large community of users, which makes Filezilla a living program that improves day by day. It is cross-platform and works on any operating system on the market. It takes up little disk space. It is very intuitive and easy to use. In no time, we will be connected to our server, sending or downloading files. It has a window with the session log, where you can observe the connection status at all times, and whether errors have appeared or not.

**What do you dislike about FileZilla?**

Like almost all GPL programs, its interface is rudimentary and somewhat outdated. It seems there are security issues when initiating the connection with the server from the client, when session data (login and password) is sent. It does not allow scheduling batch tasks to be executed automatically. FTP connections, being unreliable, require certificates.

**Recommendations to others considering FileZilla:**

To upload or download large files or simply keep your HTML web server updated, this program has everything you will need.

**What problems is FileZilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is a free FTP client. With which, this is associated with significant cost savings.

 ### 16. Very good FTP

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Albert J. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 10, 2018

**What do you like best about FileZilla?**

Filezilla is a powerful FTP client, the best thing is that it is free. Save frequent connections so you do not have to enter server data, password, user ... good interface. Available on several platforms ... It is very intuitive and easy to use.

**What do you dislike about FileZilla?**

I love Filezilla and I can hardly say anything negative about this software. Perhaps one drawback is that it has no mobile application, which would facilitate some quick transfers.

**What problems is FileZilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Filezilla to transfer files, upload files to client access folders and for modifications and upload files from our online courses website. FIlezilla has facilitated all these tasks to be so easy to use.

 ### 17. Filezilla. My FTP program.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 30, 2018

**What do you like best about FileZilla?**

Filezilla is a free and open-source program that will allow you to act as a server or a client of a server depending on the version you download. I have used the client version to connect via the FTP protocol to the school server where I study and upload an HTML file for my teacher to correct.
What I like the most is that it is very easy to use, it is fast, it takes up almost no disk space, and it is apparently secure when transferring files with the FTP server. In just a few seconds, the changes you make will be reflected in the web address of your page's domain.

**What do you dislike about FileZilla?**

What I don't like is the interface, it looks like it's from the nineties. It could be a bit more "polished". Also, sometimes when I've uploaded a file, it gives an error when overwriting the existing file, I've restarted and when I tried again it worked. I think it needs some review.
It seems that some security holes have also been discovered when logging in and entering login passwords, as this data is sent unencrypted.

**Recommendations to others considering FileZilla:**

The best and free FTP client available, always in my humble opinion.

**What problems is FileZilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In the company, you could solve the problems of communicating with an FTP server for free and in a relatively easy and intuitive way, for example, to publish changes periodically on the company's official website.

 ### 18. Efficient file upload

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luis G. | Design, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2018

**What do you like best about FileZilla?**

It is a very stable client that also updates very frequently. It allows you to manage multiple accounts from a single view very comfortably. It also allows file uploads by simply dragging and dropping.

**What do you dislike about FileZilla?**

It should offer the option to store accounts in the cloud, as when data loss occurs, it is a hassle to locate them, especially when working with different suppliers and clients.

**What problems is FileZilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it as an FTP client to upload the files of all our websites and those of our clients.

 ### 19. Easy to use very reliable

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steve C. | Owner, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 31, 2018

**What do you like best about FileZilla?**

This program is not only very easy to use but can be configured to work with just about any file transfer protocol. I use this almost daily to connect to my SFTP servers. It rarely lets me down providing a robust and rapid connection to my servers.

**What do you dislike about FileZilla?**

There are just a couple of user interface changes that I would make, but overall this is a really great product. The connection manager could be a little easier to set up and it would be great if there was a slightly more modern interface.

**What problems is FileZilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

File connection to FTP and SFTP servers.

 ### 20. FileZilla is easy to use application

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 03, 2019

**What do you like best about FileZilla?**

quickly connect and easily upload and download files. Drag and drop option is very impressing me.

**What do you dislike about FileZilla?**

Nothing all is good but some time files didn't uploads.

**Recommendations to others considering FileZilla:**

FileZilla is easy to use and easily we transfer our files.

**What problems is FileZilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

FileZilla allow the user easily transfer files with drag and drop and quickly finish work.

 ### 21. A smooth FTP client with great organizational tools

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Karl T. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 11, 2018

**What do you like best about FileZilla?**

I like the intuitiveness of the FileZilla FTP client. The layout is very concise with four distinct sections that allow you to easily transfer files while monitoring the progress of connections and transfers. After setting up and saving FTP connections, I can go back and forth between the connections very quickly without having to enter all the connection details again. I can also set bookmarks within each connection to instantly go common folders I work with.

**What do you dislike about FileZilla?**

I don't like that we can't change the layout of the software much. Though I think it's a great layout most of the time, there are times when I want to close certain windows, but FileZilla only lets us resize them. Also, for those that aren't used to using FileZilla, it can be easy for them to accidentally transfer files by dragging and dropping files in the FileZilla browser. I think there should be more settings added to prevent accidental transfers and overwriting of files.

**Recommendations to others considering FileZilla:**

FileZilla is a common and popular FTP tool that is commonly suggested for use by web hosting companies I've used. It is a reliable client that can help you get files transferred pretty quickly compared to other leading software out there. I've tried a few and would recommend this over most of the others.

**What problems is FileZilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use FileZilla for uploading and downloading files to and from various web servers. I can update website content and add new pages for promotional events or surveys. When connections are already set up, other people with less experience with this software can still come in and use the basic folder navigation tools to transfer files.

 ### 22. Impeccable and fast FTP client

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mike F. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 18, 2018

**What do you like best about FileZilla?**

Fabulous FTP client, is very fast and effective, and its interface is totally intuitive, in addition to free is very light when installing and requires no learning curve is great for sending files to any FTP server because I have never had compatibility problems, even with devices such as raspberry and other accessories.

**What do you dislike about FileZilla?**

I would like your interface to be something more visually appealing but otherwise it is a perfect program.

**Recommendations to others considering FileZilla:**

I recommend this tool to have it always in the arsenal of any pc because it facilitates a lot of work and is fast, effective and free.

**What problems is FileZilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it to directly work with files or send them to other servers in the office, raspberry pi, tv box, and other computers that we have both at office level and home.

 ### 23. Easy FTP

Sometimes the UI seems cluttered but otherwise is functional

**Recommendations to others considering FileZilla:**

Use this instead of trying to go into the online portal and edit your files on a website's text editor

**What problems is FileZilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

FileZilla is a quick way to edit files from our hosting site without having to set up automatic SFTP in sublime. Can be good for a quick fix or when using a public computer

I dislike the user interface as it's not overly intuitive

**Recommendations to others considering FileZilla:**

Save your FTP upload site's password and username.

**What problems is FileZilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use this software to upload my stock photos to websites for review and resale.

 ### 25. Access to remote servers

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Damian F. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 01, 2018

**What do you like best about FileZilla?**

I can perform file transfers through any port I choose, queuing them and simply waiting for them to be sent or downloaded depending on the function I want them to perform. Filezilla allows me to change the Firewall parameters to perform passive or active transfers, use external IPs to the server, and perform private information cleanup. Additionally, the application is free.

**What do you dislike about FileZilla?**

There are few things I don't like, but there are some logins that, depending on the port you use, will not have encryption and there is a higher risk of packet theft. And although it's good that the application is in constant development, I find it a bit annoying that when a new version comes out, a large window always appears when starting the application just to update the software.

**Recommendations to others considering FileZilla:**

I recommend using this application if you have an FTP server and want to access it to transfer or modify files. It is a free application and has many options such as saving servers to access them with just one click, and it shows logs of the transfers that have been made on the server, providing greater control.

**What problems is FileZilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With FileZilla, we perform all file transfer processes through port 22, ensuring that there is encryption between communications, and we store, modify, and extract information as we wish. Additionally, since it allows us to open multiple servers at once, it makes communications much lighter.

 ### 28. FileZilla makes file transfer via FTP secure and fast

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Miguel M. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 19, 2018

**What do you like best about FileZilla?**

Filezilla is a simple and easy-to-use program, which makes it accessible for people with little computer knowledge. I have been using file transfer programs for a long time, and none have an interface as simple and pleasant as FileZilla. I have used this application for years for general FTP file transfer use, and I don't think I have used other advanced features of this application.

Another feature of FileZilla is that it is useful to save server information. This is important and efficient for those who do not remember passwords or do not want to enter them every time.

Another good thing is that the navigation system has a tree hierarchy, which makes the interface a joy.

By clicking on the directories in the tree hierarchy, the file list will open in the panel below it. This is useful, as instead of having to enter the folder, you can already see it, and you don't lose sight of where you are in the hierarchy.

Additionally, you can see your local files on the left and server files on the right. So you can drag and drop easily and as you see fit, instead of having to open the file explorer separately to transfer files.

Another useful feature is being able to choose a default file editor, instead of the native text editor. Usually, built-in editors are not as advanced or color-coded, so using the one you want is great. It will open automatically when you click to edit.

It is also possible to stay connected for a certain time (instead of being automatically disconnected after a while).

There are also log messages that help you know the connection status when you first connect, or tell you if there is any file transfer error.

**What do you dislike about FileZilla?**

One of the things that could be improved is the file navigation system. At least in previous versions, every time I uploaded things, it seemed to refresh repeatedly and it was harder to see where we left off or to do several things at once. However, this also happens with other file clients.

**Recommendations to others considering FileZilla:**

I recommend using this product because it is easy to use, has an intuitive and simple interface, and also allows the transfer of large files between machines on the same network, ideal when working with servers. Also, from the interface, it allows copying a file simply by dragging it to the destination site, whether it's the local machine or the destination machine.

**What problems is FileZilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With FileZilla, it is very easy and fast to transfer all my files.

 ### 29. FileZilla

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 02, 2019

**What do you like best about FileZilla?**

I like that FileZilla allows you to upload reports from Excel to PeopleSoft.

**What do you dislike about FileZilla?**

I dislike that you have to manually go into FileZilla to delete the history.

**Recommendations to others considering FileZilla:**

Create a short file path when using FileZilla to make easier for others to use.

**What problems is FileZilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

FileZilla helps our company post group payments to accounts without having manually post each payment to PeopleSoft.

 ### 30. Easy and powerful, best FTP solution

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Human Resources | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 10, 2018

**What do you like best about FileZilla?**

Simple installation and easy configuration. It has a site manager function where you can set up connections for countless sites, and it also has a quick connection option. I usually use this when I work on my project that uses a lot of server data. With FileZilla, I can manage multiple connections through tabs. The transfer is fast and allows FTP over a secure connection, which makes it even more interesting to work with.

I can easily drag and drop from local to FTP server. I never encountered any problems when using FileZilla in my daily use.

And most importantly, it is completely free, with many tutorials on the Internet to maximize the use of FileZilla.

What do you dislike?

**What do you dislike about FileZilla?**

The interface is a bit outdated, but on the other hand, its performance is very good and its power is incredible, so I think this is not very important, as it is compensated.

**Recommendations to others considering FileZilla:**

This tool recommends itself. If you manage one or several websites and need FTP access to them, this solution is the best option on the market, and it is also free.

**What problems is FileZilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

FileZilla was really recommended to me by a friend because I was trying to manage the files on my website hosted on my server. We can easily transfer files without having to log into our web server and use the transfer tools there. Unlike those tools, we can transfer many files at once with FileZilla. We can save time by simply dragging and dropping files from Windows Explorer to the destination folder in FileZilla.

 ### 31. Free and Reliable FTP software, this is unheard of!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 24, 2018

**What do you like best about FileZilla?**

First off the software is free. Typically with free software you get unreliable ad filled junk, but this is none of that, super reliable, very easy to use, have had zero disconnects or ftp transfer errors! You can set up mulitple sites for quick connecting and saves all your ftp creditions.

**What do you dislike about FileZilla?**

Have had some issues with doing multiple FTP transfers to various FTPS at once. They seem to only like directing to a single FTP address at once. If you run a single site at once you will have no issues. When you are setting up passwords you can not view them, and with fat fingers like myself typos can be common.

**Recommendations to others considering FileZilla:**

Since the software is free, there is no reason not to give it a try for your FTP transfers. Most likely due to the cost and ease of use, with a clean interface you will switch too! If you dont like it you can easily uninstall this and go back to your original client.

**What problems is FileZilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This is allowing faster file transfers, no more logging into Godaddy, then going to the Godaddy acccount, finding the File transfer option that works only half the time. Transferring with Filezilla FTP is the most reliable way to go!

 ### 32. The best FTP client

**Recommendations to others considering FileZilla:**

Manage all your clients' accounts comfortably and easily

**What problems is FileZilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I manage the FTPs of all my clients comfortably from a single window and drag files with total ease to update the pages.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Angel Alberto G. | NOC Analyst Operator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

It has a very simple, friendly and easy to use interface, in addition to allowing the transfer of any type of files from any machine on the network to any server or vice versa, in a safe way and the way to connect to the servers or machines of the network is Very simple without so many protocols, another thing that makes this program very good is that it only requires dragging the file to copy from one place to another and everything you visualize on the same screen.

**What do you dislike about FileZilla?**

Only allows access to servers within the corporate intranet for use outside the enterprise network should be made use of VPN, otherwise the application is very useful.

**Recommendations to others considering FileZilla:**

I recommend using this product because it is easy to use, has an intuitive and simple interface, also allows to transfer large files between machines of the same network, ideal when working with servers, also from the interface allows the copy of a file Just drag it to the target site either the local machine or the target machine.

**What problems is FileZilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Transfer of large files between PC ´ S and/or PC and servers, which facilitates the distribution of information to all personnel without the need to occupy or use e-mail, in addition to creating the FTP server can upload files that are Important and large and the user who requires it only with the program on your machine and your access credentials will be able to access the files.

 ### 34. good free program to upload files via ftp

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Graphic Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2018

**What do you like best about FileZilla?**

It is a very good program, it doesn't take up any space or almost any space on the hard drive and is perfect for uploading files via FTP with a simple and easy-to-use interface, all very visual. I like it because it is useful for uploading files to hard drives, uploading web pages to servers, or transferring files to the companies you work with easily without having to send them by email or upload them to the cloud. Additionally, it is a free program and works perfectly, it is secure and never causes problems when uploading a file. It is worth mentioning the fast upload speed without interruptions or slowness. Another positive aspect is that this program exists and is optimized for both PC and Mac, making it perfect for those who use either platform.

**What do you dislike about FileZilla?**

I find almost no negative things. Maybe it would be good to improve the design a little on the Mac platform to make it more pleasant and in line with its style, and a bit more visual would also be good.

**Recommendations to others considering FileZilla:**

I recommend this program to anyone who needs to upload FTP files to their website, hard drive, or other services that require FTP with total security and reliability, quickly and easily, and above all with a free program available on both PC and Mac.

**What problems is FileZilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has helped me to upload my clients' web pages to the corresponding server and update them easily. I have also used it to upload large files more easily and directly to different hard drives and different companies without having to use email.

 ### 35. Does what I expect, nothing more

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2018

**What do you like best about FileZilla?**

My favorite feature of Filezilla is that I can bookmark an FTP folder location and instead of typing in the credentials every time, or auto-logging in but having to navigate through folders, I can click 1 thing to log me in and bring me right to folder I want. I only access 1 FTP regularly but I could see this being super useful for a user who needs to access multiple FTPs.

**What do you dislike about FileZilla?**

I wish I could see previews or thumbnails of image files without having to download them. I sometimes want to double-check that I have the most recent version uploaded, so it would be handy to be able to confirm that visually without having to access the file via internet browser.

**What problems is FileZilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Shared file location for assets used in HTML emails and company-wide/customer communications.

 ### 36. Filezilla - Great tool & fun name!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rachel S. | Producer & Google Trusted Photographer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2017

**What do you like best about FileZilla?**

Filezilla is an easy tool to use to add files to any server that I have access to. It's been so helpful when uploading hundreds of photos. We also use it when clients have several files that need to be uploaded to their site for migrating the site or just making massive updates.

**What do you dislike about FileZilla?**

Sometimes I get disconnected from servers and files don't go through. This issue isn't necessarily a Filezilla issue --- it's quite possible the disconnect is a result of my network.

**Recommendations to others considering FileZilla:**

This is a great, open source (free) tool for bulk transferring of files to/from servers. I use it regularly to upload large photo files and video files to our web servers, to client servers, and to download files from client servers. You can usually start it, and it will transfer all of the files while you're doing something else.

**What problems is FileZilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quick way to transfer bulk files. I can set it and forget it. It's great to have a tool to transfer files to servers quickly. I can initiate the transfer and let it do it's thing. If something doesn't transfer, Filezila gives me a list and I just retry them.

**What do you like best about FileZilla?**

Filezilla is simple to use and allows me to visually manipulate the files on my remote personal email server from my linux desktop.

The text editor could be better. When editing files on the server, the text editor is very bare bones and lacks even the most basic functionality.

This software allows me to remotely manage the files on my email server from my linux machine.

 ### 40. Great and Free FTP Software

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

I like best that it is so simple and easy to use this FTP. I can simply drag and drop and have files uploaded to the server.

**What do you dislike about FileZilla?**

I dislike the outdated user interface. It is old looking and not very modern in terms of design.

**Recommendations to others considering FileZilla:**

Highly recommend for saving time as a free ftp!

**What problems is FileZilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am saving lots of time with FileZilla. Due to how easy it is to use, I can quickly upload files which saves great amounts of time.

 ### 41. The Best FTP Client I Have Found So Far

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tanner S. | Instructional Designer, Airlines/Aviation, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 30, 2018

**What do you like best about FileZilla?**

The FTP client is simple to use and works well. There are numerous features that I use often, as well as plenty more that I have never even had a chance to try yet!I really like the ability to select how each upload is handle independently, I usually leave this feature on so that I can control how the uploads are handled independently. This is extremely useful for projects in which I might want to upload new files without overwriting any of the old files.

**What do you dislike about FileZilla?**

The update seems frequent and each time it leaves a downloaded version of the software on my computer. It would be nice if they were able to have the software update a bit more intuitively, less frequently, or more dynamically/automatically. There isn't really anything that I have found I dislike about this program that can't be adjusted or corrected by adjusting the settings.

**Recommendations to others considering FileZilla:**

We have found this to be the best FTP client to use, and is likely rated the best in the industry.

**What problems is FileZilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use FileZilla to transfer files onto our server for eLearning content. We frequently need to update this content due to request from SMEs, or changes in policy or procedures. Using this software helps us make that quick and easy. I wish that the adjustable windows had a way to lock them into adjusting together, as this is not the default setting, but I would not be surprised that it is possible somewhere in the copious amount of features in the settings.

 ### 42. Great for managing files for websites

**What do you dislike about FileZilla?**

It is a little confusing if you have not had experience working with file uploading software before. I needed to have someone else to help me out for the first few times, but after that I figured out how it works.

**What problems is FileZilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows me to upload files to my website's server wherever I am.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ben K. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 31, 2018

**What do you like best about FileZilla?**

FileZilla is quick to download and install. I can setup connections with a just a few pieces of data like ip address or domain name and password. The files can be uploaded or downloaded in bulk either by selecting files within the software or by dropping files directly into the software from your computer folders.

**What do you dislike about FileZilla?**

I don't dislike much about FileZilla. The interface can seem a bit techy and cluttered for some, but it's otherwise easy to use once you get connected and do a few transfers. There isn't an easily accessible support team.

**Recommendations to others considering FileZilla:**

As open source freeware, FileZilla is one of the most complete and useful tools, so I'd recommend this software to anyone that has a website or needs to transfer files quickly and easily.

**What problems is FileZilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're able to transfer files quickly and securely to update our website or to add downloadable assets like PDFs. There isn't a lot of time involved to get up and running with FileZilla. Whenever there are issues, we can easily look online in message boards to get things resolved.

 ### 50. Excellent FTP Client

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Legal Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 07, 2018

**What do you like best about FileZilla?**

Establishing an FTP connection using this tool is very easy, it has many features that I consider useful, among which we have the ability to save different connections, edit any file directly without needing to copy it to a local directory, import and export saved connection settings to share them or to make a backup, set priorities when downloading and uploading information, establish multiple simultaneous connections, among others.

**What do you dislike about FileZilla?**

When we try to transfer files of considerable size and for any reason we lose the connection, upon reconnecting with the server, these files restart the transfer, losing all the progress of the information already transferred.

**What problems is FileZilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This application helps us upload and update the files on our web portal, and we also use it to exchange files with external providers and internal users.
