I have been out of the legal field for over 9 years and I was used to the Needles software which was supposed to be the top of the line. After using Filevine, I honestly feel the buck stops here for being top of the line. **What do you dislike about Filevine?** The downside is little glitches sometimes where tasks can duplicate, but these issues can be ironed out easily with support from the company which is world class. **What problems is Filevine solving and how is that benefiting you?** It's a one stop shop for case management. It keeps the case organized, elimanates the need for paper files in the office, keeps the lines of communication open with the client with the texting capability. You can attach emails to the project, making it easy to have everything in one place. I especially like that we can text clients from Filevine instead of having to give out personal cell phone numbers. **What do you dislike about Filevine?** One of the things that bothers me the most, is that if I attach a document from Filevine in an email, that document gets saved a second time in the documents section. I either have all these duplicate documents outside of the folder structure in documents, or I need to delete them, both of which is annoying. It also took 18+ months to build. I was one of the people on the team to help implement and it was a lot of extra work, which I wasn't prepared for in the beginning. Also, the calendar takes a long time to load, my boss is not a fan and complains about it every time he uses it. **What problems is Filevine solving and how is that benefiting you?** Filevine is helping us to keep our cases better organized. For example, if a new client calls in, I can create a new profile for them within seconds and ask the client everything I need from them, knowing that FV has prepared questions for me to ask. **What do you dislike about Filevine?** The thing I dislike about Filevine is that I am unable to create new hashtags without speaking to the admin. Since I use Filevine so much, I sometimes do have time to ask the admin, 'hey I need such hashtag to be created to help me remember this important detail about this case'. **What problems is Filevine solving and how is that benefiting you?** Because I handle a lot of new clients, there are attorney-client agreements that need to be prepared that include their names, the reason we are representing them, etc. With Filevine, you just fill in the boxes and FV automatically generates sdocs for you within seconds, which is a life saver! ### 27. I have used NEEDLES, NEOS, Salesforce and Clio. File Vine is the most user-friendly, and you can add so much more to the system. You can even attach your depo notices, hearing notices ect and calendar them. My favorite part of File Vine is the ability to connect email threads to the client's file electronically. I highly recommend File Vine to any Law Firm. **What do you dislike about Filevine?** I would rather have my tabs a little different. A tab for client contact, adjuster contact, opposing counsel contact ect. When I was still learning how to use the website I regularly created notes that should have been text messages and I couldn't delete the note after it was posted. But that's really user error. Very detailed and organized. I appreciate that we are able to generate requests and record sheets. It's very innovative and a great way to keep all files in one place. **What do you dislike about Filevine?** Sometimes things take long to load and system can crash sometimes. I think with time they can develop a faster server that can handle more people being on the system at once. **What problems is Filevine solving and how is that benefiting you?** Organization and easy access to files. It it by far the best way to work as a team on multiple files. Everyone can track each other's work and get tasks completed on time. **What do you dislike about Filevine?** The only things that I do not like about the newest Filevine update are the vitals tab update and the sidebar feature. I think the older way that Filevine functioned were more useful. **What problems is Filevine solving and how is that benefiting you?** Often times communication can be an issue in the work place. With Filevine, my team tracks all of their work, notes, conversations, and updates in the file and everything is made available to the whole team. Adding fees to the service detracts from the positive Filevine experience. **What problems is Filevine solving and how is that benefiting you?** I'm always concerned about scheduling legal deadlines and Filevine helps me to keep on top of the various deadlines with reminders and emails so that I can meet the deadlines. ### 38. When updates are done, they are easy to transition to with very little to no downtime. I would be hardpressed to say there is anything that I dislike about Filevine. It's so easy to keep a high case load organized at a face pace. The other downside is minor because it doesn't happen alot but when something funky happens with the cloud, it will slow you down. **What problems is Filevine solving and how is that benefiting you?** Keeping cases organized. The online document signing tool, Vine Sign, is amazing and very easy for client's to utilize in signing documents quickly. **What do you dislike about Filevine?** The merge document tool is sometimes hard to grasp. File Vine provides detailed instructions, video tutorials, I think each user really can understand.
