"Automating file processing significantly improved our efficiency, but not with issues"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Filestack?

Three best things about Filestack, in my view, is the flexibility of the tool to handle uploads and transformations of files. The API is very simple to use in order to implement the file uploading in the web applications and useful image transformation tools enable the user to resize and crop images as well as optimize them in the moment of the uploading. there is a good compatibility level with cloud storage systems and integration with these systems has benefitted our work flow and productivity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Filestack?

The main disadvantage of Filestack is the relatively low number of options to change its default parameters, which sometimes makes it impossible to set up the comfortable work with this software for definite user’s needs. This restriction has been the cause of several workarounds and extra added manual steps. Further, as the number of requests or queries grows with the scale of the project, the usage of the API may be subject to certain quotas that have to be handled with caution. "Many file management issues in our business are finally solved"

What do you like best about Filestack?

The uniqueness about Filestack is that the service provider can absorb massive file uploads and transform the same in record time. A noteworthy feature is the capability of handling a large number of files without a considerable level of delay. In addition, the functions of file operations like resize and convert format significantly expand the functions of our applications. Enhancement of application performance with the corresponding set of features enhances our overall efficiency by a great extent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Filestack?

The only problem that was found with Filestack is its slow response when handling very big files and operations on them. This can hamper our performance at certain hours that are usually busy with lots of traffic. Besides, the expenses in handling large numbers of files may be challenging, especially in terms of costs. Of these factors, some have led to interruptions while others have made us look for other ways of doing things or even better ways of doing them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Filestack remove difficulties that I had with slow file upload for my photography application and website. "This tool provides efficient handling of file uploads and transformations"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Filestack?

Filestack has many marvelous features and the best part is that the company provides a strong set of tools for managing files and their transforms. It offers convenient handling of different file formats and file sizes, which is suitable and crucial for our software. The fidelity in integrating the tool with other tools such as our content management platform has been perfect. This flexibility of file processing has added much value mainly through freeing up time and improving efficiency in operations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Filestack?

The only weakness that can be attributed to Filestack is the cost, especially for organizations who need to process massive files. The cost may become an issue for the small or startup team or company soon enough. Furthermore, the software has many functionalities, which, however, can make it quite complex to use, and the documentation is quite limited. These factors have at times contributed to the rise in expenditure, as well as to the time taken in onboarding of the team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Super powerful solution for file resizing and conversion"
4/5
What do you like best about Filestack?

The most attractive feature of Filestack is the capability to manage large files on upload and post processing. The realtime file processing options like resizing and changing the format of the file have proved to be very handy. These capabilities have facilitated the handling of file related functions to enhance our operations. The inclusive API is also flexible since it allows us to develop unique file management systems for our particular needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Filestack?

A major disadvantage of Filestack is that the service is not cheap, especially if you are going to process an enormous amount of files for uploading and transformation. This means that one has to use various utilities very carefully since this may result in overage charges. Also, there is difficulty that can be encountered while attempting to use a lot of the features that are offered in the API. We have also realized that sometime there may be delays in processing times especially when there is a high traffic on the system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Super efficient solution for file uploads and transformations"
4/5
What do you like best about Filestack?

The most noticeable and strong point of Filestack is that it has rather powerful file management capabilities. They make it easier to upload, process, and send files through a single API instance which is again very efficient. I also greatly appreciate its capability to work with other services such as AWS S3 and Dropbox, making it easy for me to manage files inside of the applications we create. Informativeness became higher due to the opportunity to perform real time transformations of files and support different formats. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Filestack?

Filestack too has launched into our list of concerns since it expensive in terms of pricing especially for small projects or startups. It can become expensive fairly rapidly if you require more sophisticated features or greater usage. Further, while the documentation adjoins comprehensive, it suffers from a decision of verbosity and lack of well organized and easily retrievable organizational structures which might make it hard to learn and master the full potential of the systems. These factors may be costly, affect our budget and also delay implementation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Carl Cruz of Filestack

Thank you for your detailed review of Filestack! We're delighted to hear that our file management capabilities have been so effective for you, especially our integration with services like AWS S3 and Dropbox. "Excellent software which offers robust features for file processing"
4/5
What do you like best about Filestack?

The main advantage of Filestack that I personally like is its powerful file operations feature. The software’s capability to upload, transform, and deliver files has been helping our processes to be much more efficient. We apply it extensively when dealing with a significant amount of media content and expanding it with other instruments like AWS and Salesforce. The number of features which are integrated into the tool, including real time image processing or secure file handling are truly invaluable for the work of the team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Filestack?

The only thing I still find unsavory about Filestack is its pricing model. The more we utilize these services, the more expensive they get and this sometime can be a problem when planning for. Furthermore, as many features as presented, some of them are rather complex, and we sometimes faced difficulties understanding how to implement them. Such problems have influenced our work through making it difficult for us to handle our file management issues promptly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"This software's powerful file processing capabilities solved many issues in our company!"
4/5
What do you like best about Filestack?

Something that I like most with Filestack is that it possesses incredible file handling capabilities. It makes uploading and converting as well as delivering files simple with a fine API that seamlessly integrates with our web apps. Different file types and general resizing or changing of format of images has helped a lot in simplifying the management of contents. Also, using it with AWS has improved the process of file storage and access significantly and helped a lot. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Filestack?

The primary demerit of using Filestack is its high cost which may be a pull off for some firms especially the small ones. This has affected it in a big way, especially when working with big volumes of files with many transformation and storages. It has also experienced slow uploads from time to time, especially if working on the transfer of files which are very large. The following are some of the challenges that have at times affected the organization’s flow and force one to look for other ways of solving the following tasks. What do you like best about Filestack?

What is particularly noteworthy about Filestack is that it does not in any way complicate the handling of files. The integration with both Dropbox and Google Drive is beneficial, improving its functionality. Filestack has superb capabilities in dealing with file uploads and transformations, which is beneficial for development. The API is great and the file picker adapts well to various project structures. Its overall reliability and smooth operation make it one of the best software tools to manage files without much complexities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Filestack?

The primary drawback of Filestack can be considered to be its price, which may be overly costly when the service is used too frequently. This has placed a lot of pressure on us financially since we now need many items to meet the demand we have. Thirdly, Filestack typically works well with other popular platforms; however, occasional problems with linking to some third parties have been reported, which may hinder operations. With cost and integration, these has sometimes have occasionally been used to complicate the processes of file management. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
