"FileRun Review: A Flexible Self-Hosted File Management Solution"
4.5/5
What do you like best about FileRun?

Since it’s self-hosted, we can manage our data on our own infrastructure, ensuring both security and compliance. The interface is clean and easy to navigate, and the ability to preview files, share links with external users, and customize permissions makes collaboration simple. It’s also very lightweight and doesn’t require heavy resources to run smoothly, which is a big plus. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about FileRun?

For users without strong IT skills, setting up certain features—like external authentication or fine-tuned permission controls—can feel complex. Additionally, while the interface is functional, it could benefit from a more modern design and some quality-of-life improvements, like drag-and-drop folder organization or bulk actions that are more intuitive. Here's the translation:

"Using Filerun is extremely simple, allowing you to manage files and folders within your browser, but thanks to its integrations, users can have a genuine desktop environment with daily-use programs. The integrations are numerous and customizable based on user needs. Its management of labels, comments, and versions makes it the most comprehensive software I've ever tried."
