
TurnItIn simplifies the process of assigning, collecting, and grading written assignments. By distributing assignments digitally, it ensures that students have the ability to access essay information at any time, including in school, at home, on the bus, or wherever. Above all else, the ability to create preset feedback responses makes grading a breeze. The teaching assistant functionality is also beneficial, allowing users to assign a secondary instructor to add assignments, edit assignments, grade, and provide feedback to students. Students tend to have difficulty with the TurnItIn sign-in process (frequently navigating to the easy to access and nearly indistinguishable TurnItIn UK sign-in page). Would also like to see TurnItIn provide other digitally based assignment options (such as creating digital quizzes / tests and other alternative digital assignments). In our experience, we also had difficulty setting up TurnItIn to integrate with our other Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Schoology, as additional configuration and licensing was required.
