**What do you like best about Fedora?**

Distribution with graphic environment for touch screen, it is perfect with large icons and integrated application manager to install with a single click without compiling programs.
Fedora is famous with rpm install on the internet.

**What do you dislike about Fedora?**

Improve performance for low-resource PCs, I understand that there are lighter versions but Fedora could dominate the market if this action is achieved.

**What problems is Fedora solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fedora adjusts to the needs of each PC, resources and manages programs very well, compiling programs is perfect and compatible with all currently available programs, you don't have to envy Debian for its packages.

  ### 2. Flexible, Stable and Cost-Effective Solution

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Himanshu S. | Legal Associate, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Fedora?**

Fedora is solid and dependable, and we have never experienced any crashes or system failures that could interfere with our daily operations. Moreover, its flexibility is used in our development environments.

**What do you dislike about Fedora?**

It has limited support for the users like other distros of Linux and is also it's difficult for beginners to understand as a lot of technicalities are attached to it.

**What problems is Fedora solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is free and open-source so we can save money on licensing costs. Being a Linux distribution it is secure which is helping to save on security and privacy features.

  ### 3. The true linux distro...

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sandarbh A. | Full Stack Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Fedora?**

Being an open-source community and a strong user and developer base, the end product is free and top-notch software.
With a choice variety of OS according to the needs and system, users can expect a more integrated OS experience. With multi-set pre-installed software such as Firefox, file manager, e-mail client, etc., one can start using Fedora right out of the box.
The default GNOME software manager can be used to install software and have a graphical user interface which is a breeze for newbies.
The community support is extensive and users can and should report bugs which get handled quite fast and smoothly.

**What do you dislike about Fedora?**

Although this is quite a popular software and has a strong user base it comes with its own set of flaws. The official GNOME repositories have a small set of software and the user has to use the unofficial GNOME repository thus it is prone to issues. Fedora doesn't support proprietary drivers thus average users may face issues during installation as they may need additional drivers and tweaks.

**Recommendations to others considering Fedora:**

It is hard to form an image of Fedora as it's a reliable and stable Linux distribution that will never let you down. The installation process is simple, and the pre-installed software is more than enough to get you started.
If you are looking to move from another OS and are in need of something which can be used without any hassle right from the beginning, then Fedora is the right choice for you.

**What problems is Fedora solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use different versions of Fedora for my different systems and thus have a more integrated hardware and software environment.
I can run Fedora as a live OS without going through the hassle of installing an operating system and still use it as a normal OS.
It is backed by RedHat and I know that I can use it to work efficiently on my system.
The ability to create users after installation is a boon for administrators and one can add users as per their needs.

**Reviewed by:** Rahim b. | Admin, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

I like that it is very safe and fast. You don't need an expensive machine to use it. You can install it almost on everything. Its design looks very nice and clean.

I think the biggest issue is related to devices compatibility. Not all drivers are available and sometimes you need to spend a lot of time to manage for device to work.

I can recommend using fedora to be safe from external unwanted software and use responsive system without hangs.

**What problems is Fedora solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is saving a lot of disk space and machine resources. I can install it on slower machine and don't need to upgrade hardware. It is also very well secured. It is hard to be infected by unwanted applications like virus.

**What do you like best about Fedora?**

The system's visual already attracts attention from its installation. Beautiful, bold, modern, and with various types of fonts, wallpapers, and animated transitions!

**What do you dislike about Fedora?**

The update repositories tend to occasionally cause conflicts. This is bad because we end up having to reinstall the entire system occasionally. It happened to me that an update 'corrupted' in the middle of the process.

**What problems is Fedora solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Regarding usability, I say that I am comfortable changing the operating system I use today to an open-source system without any issues. I feel secure.

  ### 29. An Excellent Linux OS for Testing and R&D

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ankit K. | Senior Software Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 02, 2022

**What do you like best about Fedora?**

Fedora Operating System is available in several editions e.g. Fedore OS, Fedora Workstation, Fedora server, Fedore IOT etc. It provides incredible dependency management with yum. It has no bloat software. In addition, it provides better hardware support due to newer Kernel versions.

**What do you dislike about Fedora?**

It is not one of the best Operating systems from an end-user usability perspective. It has a high dependency on third-party repos, even for essential software. Also, the fonts used are not very good actually.

**What problems is Fedora solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using Fedora Operating System for testing purposes mainly. The benefit of a lightweight operating system is that it helps quickly install the operating system and start the testing part in a brief period.

  ### 30. Good operating system, UI is also very good

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ashvin C. | Senior Software Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2022

**What do you like best about Fedora?**

I like the way UI looks from the login screen to the home page and the other pages. Each and every app looks very nice when you open it in Fedora. The office suite also looks premium.

**What do you dislike about Fedora?**

Fedora won't get too many OS and software updates, that's one problem and also when we open the terminal and try to install the software and packages, it gets a little difficult to do so.

**What problems is Fedora solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fedora does not support proprietary drivers, meaning that users may have problems with a lot of hardware when using Fedora. The software to make that kind of hardware work can be installed, but it can be done only through third parties and it's not easy for the average user.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** GINNY G. | Technical Lead, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 03, 2022

**What do you like best about Fedora?**

It is very lightweight and efficient in the test lab, and R&D. Yum, a package manager, works effectively and precisely. It has better software packages than CentOS. Overall an excellent OS to work.

**What do you dislike about Fedora?**

Its stability is okay but not as good as CentOS. Fedora uses its server, so we cannot use another server simultaneously. There are a few issues with the repo management provided by Yum.

**What problems is Fedora solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is a very lightweight operating system for Linux and helps set up the environment for testing. It gives much experimental software, so you get to learn something new every time.

**What do you like best about Fedora?**

It is a very lightweight and quite efficient. It has a very less RAM consumption and is the best GNome environment OS I have come across. It has no bloatware and provides quite good hardware support due to newer kernel versions.

**What do you dislike about Fedora?**

It doesn't get many updates and bug fixes. It's a bit difficult to install software packages. It's highly dependent on third party repos even for essential software.

**What problems is Fedora solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use fedore for testing purpose. Since it's a lightweight operating system, it's quite easy to install and run tests over it. A benefit of it is that since it's an open source, it doesn't get affected by virus.
