"Versatile Tables, Charts & Linked Metrics That Power Our Reporting"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Fathom?

I’m a huge fan of how versatile Fathom’s tables, charts, and linked metrics are for my regular reporting cycles. The live chat support function is also a big win; when I reach out for help, I can count on having someone real on the other end within 10–15 minutes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fathom?

Some areas of Fathom feel a bit too rigid. I’d like to be able to build truly bespoke tables and reports, rather than having to work within the confines of the canned reporting tools that are available. That said, the Fathom team is always open to product improvement ideas, and there does seem to be a way to solve any problem you might run into - even if that means building a bespoke table or chart externally and then pulling it into the pack as an image. "Great Support and Error-Proof Financial Reporting Made Easy"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Fathom?

Support is great, and the knowledge base articles are well prepared. As a financial performance solution, Fathom provides management with an easy-to-update tool that delivers quick results and is error-proof from a formula point of view. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fathom?

There aren’t many drawbacks. I’d only say that Fathom is very flexible—until it isn’t. This doesn’t happen often, but you’ll run into it as you build more creative reports and try to do something a little different. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Sync, Endless Reporting Options—Fathom Delivers"
5/5
What do you like best about Fathom?

Ease of use. The program syncs effortlessly with our accounting software, and there are seemingly endless reporting options. Fathom makes reporting incredibly easy, while still offering the functionality for more in-depth reporting, forecasting, and other deeper analysis if you want it. I have never experienced any software bugs or performance issues and the pricing is very reasonable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fathom?

Nothing! It is easy to use and have no complaints after using it for almost two years. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Exceptional Reporting with Stellar UI, Needs Better Forecasting Features"
5/5
What do you like best about Fathom?

I appreciate Fathom's excellent reporting and visualization capabilities. The ability to do scenarios and forecasting is excellent. The user experience and user interface of the product are extremely good; it's very clean and easy to use. I find it very well designed, making it an excellent product. It's also very easy to set up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fathom?

I would like to be able to use Fathom to replace Excel for model development. It has some capabilities for that, like setting up drivers, but it's not as easy to perform as it is with Excel. That may have to do with the fact that I've done it in Excel for a long time, so I've developed methods there. I'm attempting to move over into model development just in Fathom going forward. "Fathom"
5/5
What do you like best about Fathom?

I use Fathom for consolidating monthly management accounts, and it has been a huge benefit because it takes a lot less time. Once the mapping is sorted, it makes the process much more streamlined going forward. I like that the reporting is really smart, helping produce really good, understandable, simplified reports that are presentable at board level. The templates are useful because once everything is set up, it makes the process so much quicker. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fathom?

The consolidating of group accounts is more complex. That's understandable because it is a complex job in general. Also, sometimes adding in custom stuff, it doesn't work as well. And adding a custom document has got better lately but still isn't ideal. The setup took time and is pretty intense, especially when dealing with unrealized profit and needing third-party eliminations. Cash flow forecasting is tricky, especially for startups with irregular cash flows and revenue streams. The budgets are also very difficult to use in Fathom due to so much volatility and changes. The setup could be improved if there was a better way of doing journal entries rather than the adjustments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Exceptional Support, High Learning Curve"
5/5
What do you like best about Fathom?

I love the speed and detailed responses from Fathom's chat customer service. Every time I have a question, a real human responds almost immediately with helpful, detailed answers. Often, they include a video showing exactly how to do what I'm asking, like creating or altering a report or presenting data in a specific way. Even when I've messaged as late as 10pm, they've responded. It's almost unheard of but so appreciated. I also find the initial setup to be easy, although I had help from my accountant. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fathom?

There's a big learning curve. I'm sure I still don't use it anywhere near as much as I could if I understood everything. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Exceptional Usability and Support for Consolidation"
5/5
What do you like best about Fathom?

I find Fathom excellent in terms of usability and service communication. It's very easy to use, and getting answers to any questions is straightforward and quick, with the team responding in just a few minutes. The tool has been really beneficial for consolidations and analytics for our business, particularly as we have many entities. The initial setup was very easy, thanks to the team's step-by-step help. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fathom?

It still has limitations, like the Mongolian Turk currency is not recognized by Fathom. So there are still a few of those kind of minor issues, but I'm sure they'll be improved with time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Reporting and Smart Forecasts with Seamless Integration"
5/5
What do you like best about Fathom?

The key advantage is that it can connect to your accounting system to pull the data and generate visual reports without spending excessive time designing charts or templates. You also have the ability to produce forecasts using smart predictions that automatically adjust for future months, eliminating the need to update each period manually. In addition, you can build scenarios or a main forecast to see how the numbers might behave under various assumptions, and you can toggle these on and off as needed without having to continually redo everything from scratch. Oh, and the service is great. They are there for whatever you need and provide exceptional guidance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fathom?

I work from Latin America, and it would be helpful to have the articles in Spanish. I wasn’t pleased that images couldn’t be added before, but now that it’s possible, that’s excellent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
