"It just works"

What do you like best about FastSpring?

I came to FastSpring from another eCommerce provider and the transition was painless. That was several years ago now and FastSpring just works. We have all of the eCommerce features we need. There are never any problems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about FastSpring?

The FastSping subscription facility is aimed at web based services. Our desktop software isn't able to take advantage of this capability without involving a 3rd party. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A success to our growth"

What do you like best about FastSpring?

We have been using FastSpring for 4 years now and it has been a great success to our growth. We have never had any downtime with FastSpring and our payments have been running smooth for the entire time we've been with them. The range of payment methods offered is great as we can offer the methods and currencies that our customers are looking for, resulting in a better conversion. What do you dislike about FastSpring?

There aren't many downsides. The chargeback policy isn't the best - there is no way to dispute a chargeback. On the old platform we were able to fully customize our store with HTML, it's not possible with the newer store platform now though, although basic customization is there. What problems is FastSpring solving and how is that benefiting you?

What do you like best about FastSpring?

FastSpring makes it quick to set up an e-commerce site. They handle all of the credit card transactions, taxes and regulations. You just need to sell your product. What do you like best about FastSpring?

Having set up payment via Fastspring on my website, it is virtually maintenance-free, unlike other payment services I have used. When I do have queries, the customer support is excellent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about FastSpring?

Limited connectivity with other platforms: for example, there is no integration between Fastspring and AWeber, so I can't automatically add buyers to an AWeber email list. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering FastSpring:

Fastspring is a highly professional company and I recommend them. The only thing I would say is that you need to check that Fastspring is compatible with your other tech. For example, I use AWeber for my email list and there is currently no integration between Fastspring and AWeber so buyers cannot be automatically added to an AWeber mailing list. There are solutions to this, I could transfer my mailing list to Mailchimp, for which there is a FS integration so it is not an insuperable issue but the best solution would be for FS to produce an integration. They have promised it but so far I haven't seen it! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is FastSpring solving and how is that benefiting you?

Fastspring handles European Union VAT; this is a huge help and removes a great deal of admin work for any business based in the EU. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Comprehensive ecommerce solution "

What do you like best about FastSpring?

FastSpring has enabled us to grow globally much faster than we would have been able to with a simple payment gateway. We can accept multiple payment methods that our buyers request, and which would be difficult to handle with our staff alone. We haven't yet experienced any downtime or technical problems with our store. It's fairly easy to create new products and subscriptions when necessary. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about FastSpring?

There are some customization options that are lacking such as how much you can edit the invoice template (hardly at all). The support we receive is great, but the new portal to submit tickets is cumbersome. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We originally began using FastSpring because our international company did not have a US bank account with which to accept payments. Since then, we've realized FastSpring provides us much more than that benefit. We don't have to worry about charging taxes domestically or internationally, as FastSpring determines what should be paid for us. FastSpring supports us when we need specific documentation for our buyers and prevents us from having to do extensive research to ensure we are following all regulations. Subscription management is the most difficult process design problem I have ever worked on (30+ years of experience in IT and business process work.) However, I started with no e-commerce experience and with no outside expertise. There are a myriad of ways to do subscription management. FastSpring has more options that you will want to use. Think through what you want to accomplish before starting. A major step in my design work was looking at EVERYTHING that FastSpring could offer, and then eliminated the things I did not want to use. What problems is FastSpring solving and how is that benefiting you?

FastSpring made it possible to set up a SaaS billing front end with APIs to my SaaS application, without having to create my own "storefront" page on my website. FastSpring documentation is freely accessible and their customer support is knowledgeable, friendly and responsive. I asked dozens of "dumb" questions and was met always with helpful answers.
