It offers you the option to personalize order pages that are included in the websites as well as promotions, coupons among others. **What do you dislike about FastSpring?** FastSpring is a bit complex to handle, it would be useful if they could provide assistants to set up order pages, instead of simply having users choose between options that are not completely easy to use. **Recommendations to others considering FastSpring:** FastSpring is a super useful, effective and productive tool in what is the part of sales automation, allows to streamline and optimize the product sales process with customers, is responsible for performing all that management, preventing you from having to get involved directly with customers. It has excellent technical support both for users as well as for customers, if at the time of executing and finalizing a sale there is an inconvenience, FastSpring technical support responds immediately to the needs being very receptive. **What problems is FastSpring solving and how is that benefiting you?** FastSpring helps us in automating our product sales. This tool is the one that does most of our work at the time of the sale of our products, because it provides us with an order page to which my site is linked to each product. Our customers go to the order page that offers the tool linked to our products and it is responsible for giving all the details of orders and fulfillment including in this way the process of payment of applicable taxes and fraud prevention. ### 3. This lets us handle a range of scenarios for our customers all on one platform. We didn't have to pick a separate vendor for each stage of the eCommerce pipeline, and FastSpring handles international tax as well. **What do you dislike about FastSpring?** We have multiple product lines and to fit within the constraints of the system we had to set them up as independent stores. Additionally, we have been with FastSpring a long time and there's no way to transfer from their original platform to their next generation platform. **What problems is FastSpring solving and how is that benefiting you?** Our primary goal was to handle the payment phase of our transactions for both software licenses and subscriptions. To do this we bypass the store component (that happens on our site in a native design) but it's nice that we can also send customers a direct link to a store page when they want to handle something out of band. ### 4. With a few simple tutorials watched, I was able to get the whole platform up and running within a few days time. As an atypical user for an e-commerce platform (I represent an academic project based at a university), I have appreciated not only having the ability to accept payment from end users around the world, but to receive payment from FastSpring in a way that helps us navigate university financial requirements. **What do you dislike about FastSpring?** I wish I could manage more of the store design and setup independently, but my not doing more is a reflection of a) my not making enough time to learn how, and b) the fact that I don't really need to, with FastSpring's excellent customer service. **Recommendations to others considering FastSpring:** Use FatSpring! You won't regret the choice. **What problems is FastSpring solving and how is that benefiting you?** We're an academic project that sells software, and uses 100% of the proceeds to fund future software development and support. For us, it isn't worth the work of setting up an external business and bank account to handle this - we just need a way to receive funds and direct them in an internal university project account. FastSpring removes all the burden of managing payment receipts and keeping customer information secure while allowing us to receive funds that support our work (by check - sadly, still the easier option for us given internal bureaucracy!), and for an extremely reasonable fee. ### 10. That was several years ago now and FastSpring just works. We have all of the eCommerce features we need. Our desktop software isn't able to take advantage of this capability without involving a 3rd party. **What problems is FastSpring solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use FastSpring to sell our macOS automation software. We have never had any downtime with FastSpring and our payments have been running smooth for the entire time we've been with them. The range of payment methods offered is great as we can offer the methods and currencies that our customers are looking for, resulting in a better conversion. We are looking at exploring the subscriptions part of FastSpring next. **What do you dislike about FastSpring?** There aren't many downsides. The chargeback policy isn't the best - there is no way to dispute a chargeback. On the old platform we were able to fully customize our store with HTML, it's not possible with the newer store platform now though, although basic customization is there. **Recommendations to others considering FastSpring:** Once you try it you won't want to use anything else. **What problems is FastSpring solving and how is that benefiting you?** FastSpring is a reliable commerce platform for us. When I do have queries, the customer support is excellent. **What do you dislike about FastSpring?** Limited connectivity with other platforms: for example, there is no integration between Fastspring and AWeber, so I can't automatically add buyers to an AWeber email list. **Recommendations to others considering FastSpring:** Fastspring is a highly professional company and I recommend them. The only thing I would say is that you need to check that Fastspring is compatible with your other tech. For example, I use AWeber for my email list and there is currently no integration between Fastspring and AWeber so buyers cannot be automatically added to an AWeber mailing list. There are solutions to this, I could transfer my mailing list to Mailchimp, for which there is a FS integration so it is not an insuperable issue but the best solution would be for FS to produce an integration. They have promised it but so far I haven't seen it! **What problems is FastSpring solving and how is that benefiting you?** Fastspring handles European Union VAT; this is a huge help and removes a great deal of admin work for any business based in the EU. ### 18. We can accept multiple payment methods that our buyers request, and which would be difficult to handle with our staff alone. We haven't yet experienced any downtime or technical problems with our store. It's fairly easy to create new products and subscriptions when necessary. **What do you dislike about FastSpring?** There are some customization options that are lacking such as how much you can edit the invoice template (hardly at all). The support we receive is great, but the new portal to submit tickets is cumbersome. **Recommendations to others considering FastSpring:** The price may seem high, but what FastSpring offers compared to a payment gateway only is quite valuable. **What problems is FastSpring solving and how is that benefiting you?** We originally began using FastSpring because our international company did not have a US bank account with which to accept payments. Since then, we've realized FastSpring provides us much more than that benefit. We don't have to worry about charging taxes domestically or internationally, as FastSpring determines what should be paid for us. However, I started with no e-commerce experience and with no outside expertise. There are a myriad of ways to do subscription management. FastSpring has more options that you will want to use. Think through what you want to accomplish before starting. A major step in my design work was looking at EVERYTHING that FastSpring could offer, and then eliminated the things I did not want to use. **What problems is FastSpring solving and how is that benefiting you?** FastSpring made it possible to set up a SaaS billing front end with APIs to my SaaS application, without having to create my own "storefront" page on my website. Their customer service and technical support has been top notch. I'd used two other competing platforms before FastSpring and they were far harder to use, for me and for my customers. I like the product discount offers, which are easy to use and give me a lot of flexibility in pricing options. FastSpring does a great job too of handling requests that come directly from my customers to them, alerting me immediately of issues with their ticketing system. **What do you dislike about FastSpring?** No downsides really. I'd like an integration to Aweber and some other email/social platforms in addition to MailChimp, but that's not been a big problem. **Recommendations to others considering FastSpring:** FastSpring has been great all around for features and service. Great platform, but the next challenge was to find an ecommerce and solution to sell it.
