It's also an excellent tool for the social media department, as they can monitor the feedback within the groups. It consolidates the feedback and chatter to one spot, and often if it's not the best comments, it keeps them contained to that one area. It's the standard-issue group type setup with an admin and various moderators. It's typical Facebook mediocrity. Most groups are built around the personal or business "needs and desires" of the admin. If I want to start a group it's fairly easy as long as I don't appear to violate their so-called community standards. **What do you dislike about Facebook Groups?** Like with many other group-type setups, the moderator and admin have way too much power. If there's a personality conflict or an admin simply disagrees with your premise, you can get muted or kicked out of the group. If the admin wants to take the group private, they take the group private. Whether you agree or not makes no difference. There's no real way to structure a democratic hierarchy in one of these groups so more people have a say in its direction. What frequently happens is the admin loses interest and the group fades away and just sits there, like dead wood. Really, Facebook decided groups would be a great way of keeping people involved so their metrics look better to advertisers. I count and count the metrics manually and then compare them to the analytics tool, and they never match. I can't figure it out, so I don't find Facebook Groups reliable for that.
