Meta is the threshold of online marketing for any small business. If you do not have an FB/Instagram presence, you won't show up on search results. That axiom is so true that many small businesses use FB or IG as their online landing page. Like Google Business for web searching, Meta for Business is about the only relevant game in town. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Facebook for Business? Facebook for Business has been subsumed into the Meta for Business ad management platform. Dear sweet lord, they make it difficult to use. They own Instagram, but the integration with IG and FB for business simply does not work as intended. Their algorithm now displays more ads than friend posts, so your "targeted" ads end up spamming people and being ignored. I would rather have fewer impressions and be found than scrolled past. And, because of the algorithm shift from personal posts to constant spam, people are leaving FB and IG altogether. Unfortunately, there's nothing better to replace Meta. It started since we moved to the USA in March 2023 and FB was never able to resolve the problem. I've followed all the support systems etc and even did an class on ads. What do you dislike about Facebook for Business? Hard to understand the platform with all of the different apps you have to use to basically manage the same thing. I feel that all of the different tools are structured in a very "hard to understand" way and could be condensed into something much more user friendly. I had to watch several youtube videos that explained how meta worked to fully understand it. Still difficult to use the different tools for my facebook shop, facebook ads, meta suite, etc. Facebook support info is not very helpful and doesnt explain any of their tools in a way that users can understand. I spent hours and hours trying to figure out meta's pixel for example and I had to watch youtube videos tonunderstand how to manage and setup my facebook shop using the merchant center. I spent months trying to learn how to use all of these business tools and after spending so much time I haven't noticed any increase in my sales or metrics. I also think this platform has serious bias issues, deeply embedded in its algorithms, that could definitely use some work. The best thing about Facebook is having a centralized place for all the assets. Be it- FB page, ad manager account, data sets, access to the person, pixels, shops, etc. We've been using it since last 5 years and have seen the evolving changes in its dashboard, making all the marketers' efforts easier than ever. I honestly dislike about the hierarchy it has set in its new interface. It created a lot of confusion in navigating from one settings to another. We've used Google ads and other platforms, but the way Facebook target is an advanced tech that differentiates them from other social media advertising platforms. Nowadays, their new feature has made the advertiser's work a lot easier. We just need to give them the assets, and rest they will do their job.
