I regularly use the filters to narrow options by cuisine, dietary needs, and delivery time, which saves a lot of time compared to contacting restaurants individually. Being able to reorder past meals is another feature that simplifies recurring meetings. The platform is easy to navigate, performs reliably, and provides helpful order tracking and delivery updates. Customer support has also been responsive whenever I've had questions. From a value standpoint, ezCater has saved our team time and reduced the effort involved in coordinating group meals. An added bonus has been discovering new local restaurants that fit our needs. While I don't use many AI features, the recommendations make it easy to find suitable catering options quickly. There aren't many major drawbacks, but there are a few areas where ezCater could improve. I would like to see more consistent menu updates from restaurants, as occasionally an item isn't available after an order is started. Some restaurant pages also provide more detail than others, making it difficult to compare options. The user interface is generally easy to use, but managing larger or more complex orders with multiple customizations could be more streamlined. It would also be helpful if the search and recommendation features were a little smarter by learning from previous orders and favorite vendors to provide more personalized suggestions. While the platform performs well overall, I've noticed that some restaurant menus can load more slowly during busy times. Pricing is transparent, but delivery fees and service charges can vary significantly between restaurants, making it harder to compare the true total cost. I haven't needed customer support often, but having more proactive guidance or tips for first-time users and advanced ordering features would make onboarding even better. I really like how ezCater breaks down the cost per person and gives so many options to narrow down the search results. The platform is easy to navigate and really covers all bases, leaving me confident that everything will be seamless, which it was. The setup was also easy, as I just had to put in my email to create an account because we use the Relish or Meal Program through ezCater. The only big thing I would ask is that the restaurants used by ezCater make sure they label everything, provide tent cards, and ensure that items that are gluten-free (GF), vegetarian (V), vegan, etc., are clearly labeled. I like the ease of use with ezCater, as it doesn't require any type of integration or setup. This makes it really straightforward to manually add or remove employees. I appreciate the optionality it offers our employees, allowing them to choose their own lunch, which results in very little overhead for me as the administrator. I really value their ability to work closely with us to customize solutions around our clients’ unique needs. As great as the ezCater technology is, it’s still beholden to the last-mile logistics of its restaurant partners. In some cases, those partners aren’t consistent in how they deliver their service. Whether it’s a delayed delivery time or a drop in overall food quality, it can negatively impact customer satisfaction and, in turn, reflect poorly on our service and brand. This could be improved with more real-time tracking for orders in progress, along with clearer customer updates when delays are expected. In a manufacturing environment where customers have specific, designated lunch times, knowing when the food will arrive is extremely important to help them make the most of their lunch period. They offer a compelling value proposition, especially for clients that aren’t in a large metro area or whose workforce has defined lunch periods. They aggregate a diversified restaurant partner network and simplify daily meal and catering orders through smart, easy-to-use technology. We use ezCater for daily meal ordering and catering at a fairly remote client site where most of the workforce is in manufacturing. Before we started with ezCater, employees had to use their 30-minute lunch breaks to drive 5 to 10 minutes to grab food, which left them very little time to actually enjoy lunch once they got back to the site. Since there’s no onsite food production, having a variety of options delivered has been a huge relief for employees and a strong solution for our client, who had always struggled with this aspect of their campus. It has improved employee satisfaction tremendously. We’ve also been able to streamline catering quality, processes, and budgets by using ezCater’s Marketplace in conjunction with our teams. I can't stress how convenient it is to not have to send out a tax exempt form to each individual restaurant we order from. Having all the restaurants we frequent consolidated on one platform saves us from sending out a tax exempt form every time we order. A one-time process with ezCater solved most of the hoops we jump through when ordering to a tax exempt university. I don't like when you have to wait for EZCATER to check with a restaurant for availability. Sometimes you don't get an answer right away. Also, I've experienced an instance when EZCater required a 2 or 3 working day notice for a certain restaurant but when I called the restaurant myself, they were able to accommadate our request. I like ezCater's ease of use, especially when ordering for 60+ people, which makes it simple and handy. It's also super convenient that I can check things on my phone with the app. It allows me to choose restaurants that deliver to the pool we are competing at all-in-one place. I can find the restaurant, customize things, and get the order placed without having to call a million different restaurants. It's helpful that I can send the link to our students and they can order what they would like. Switching from going directly through restaurants to using ezCater has made things a lot easier.
