The scheduling is easy, I like that we can customize the appointment types. The order entering is also easy. I like that Office Mate sends our VSP claims for us! Mainly, the reports are very difficult to pull, they take a long time to load and they are not as customizable as I would prefer. The fee slipping can also be cumbersome. The system is very old looking, almost archaic. I wish we could also delete or merge patient accounts. Anytime we have a duplicate, we have to change the demographic info to "test". Fairly user-friendly with decent video tutorials online. The system has been around for a while so after using it for years I am able to navigate it pretty smoothly. Everything is pretty easy to use, especially if you’re shown once you can manage through it again successfully. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Eyefinity OfficeMate? Scheduler, officemate, examwriter are all separate windows; would love to see everything in one. Also, really hate the right click vs left click in examwriter when templating. What do you dislike about Eyefinity OfficeMate? Sometimes officemate crashes so we have to wait to verify patient information. Sometimes it is a easy fix but sometimes not that easy. We might have to call someone from our team to get it fixed that helps us when the internet or things like that don't work. Sometimes officemate crashes so we have to have people wither come out and fix it or they call and fix it that way. We might have to call someone for our team to fix it. Address, phone number, date of birth, SSN, email address, and things like that so it was extremely helpful for our office. I like that it works effortlessly with the clinic program ExamWriter and the information for fee slips and Rx's can be sent over so that the front staff does not have to worry about learning the clinic software on top of everything else. I dislike all the updates and that the first tier customer service doesn't do any better than I can do myself but you have to talk to them before you can reach tier 2. I love how easy it is to use, we can literally do everything in it! It makes it easy to schedule appointments, print receipts, put orders in, and even bill insurance. VSP is integrated into it so billing that is a breeze!!! Also, we use Weave and that is integrated into Officemate as well. The reports that Officemate offers are great for recalls and other business related reports that you might need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Eyefinity OfficeMate? They make it difficult to do some transactions and do VSP insurance at times. Sometimes when you go to bill a VSP claim (especially for materials), the claim does not go through the first time which means you have to go through the hassle and extra time to get a new authorization to bill it yet again. It seems that this is an Officemate glitch as we have called about this issue before and it is something on their end. They document it though and seem to continue to improve their software. It makes the transition into Electronic Medical Records so easy and all the information that you need is right there at your fingertips. You have to make sure though that you are using the software to its full potential otherwise you will think you have wasted your money.
