It was pain in the butt to get up and running and to integrate everything into our existing systems and processes but that's probably to be expected with just about any vendor. We receive any DSARs and using a manual approach would be fairly cumbersome to do (& was before we started using this software) so automating that process as much as possible has been a key. I picked up where my organization had left off and was able to complete our first corporate-wide Data Inventory. I am now using those results to flush out a data privacy, retention / deletion schedule, etc. It has been a great building block, and people like Emily have been hugely helpful. I have to interview some of the respondents because they didn't answer the questions with full completeness - The feedback that I heard was that the DI questionnaire was confusing and really long. Recommendations to others considering Exterro Privacy: If you are looking for a way to start up a privacy program, I recommend Exterro's DI - especially the team that comes along with it.
