If you’re working with an Excel file that has tens of thousands of records to update, the system can slow down or even pause. I’ve found it’s easier to just remember to upload in batches. Once it’s set up correctly, it’s very easy to upload journal entries directly into our ERP, NetSuite. The product feels smooth and east to use once set up. It has integrated nicely with our ERP. The speed and reliability is nice. I am unsure of the pricing because I did not purchase it myself but I would guess the price matches the value and we get our moneys worth and ROI is good. It was very easy finding help and support for the product and onboarding was fairly smooth. I have not dabbled in the AI-powered capabilities or intelligence features yet so I can not speak to that. The UI on the excel plugin definitely needs a lot of work. I have several users keep coming back to complain the tool doesn't allow them to log out correctly, and the cache also caused issues when my company changed email previously. It’s fairly user-friendly once you figure out what you need to do. For example, creating a new SKU is much faster than going into NetSuite, clicking through everything, and then waiting on the NetSuite lag. I primarily use ExtendInsights for automatically loading NetSuite data into Excel and for quickly uploading large journals and other data into NetSuite. It greatly assists me with the month-end closing and saves a lot of time. I also appreciate that it is easy to use and that there is good support. ExtendInsights has no issues with the custom fields in NetSuite and it is very easy to create custom templates. I like having the capability of having standardized tables without needing to recreate the data relationship for our data migration activities. I also like being able to manage data without going through the CSV import queue in NetSuite. Additionally, I appreciate the capability to update existing data in the system without worrying about affecting other data, especially if the update relates to line items. The primary issue is system performance. Most of the time, it takes a very long time for ExtendInsights to download and upload data even if there is only a small subset. For larger datasets, it almost becomes impossible since it takes a huge amount of time, sometimes hours, compared to seconds when downloading the data directly from NetSuite via Saved Search. There was also a downgrade from a previous version where we could edit or create a saved template using an existing table on the sheet. Now, if changes are needed, like adding or removing columns, we have to recreate the table on the spreadsheet. The downgrade on this feature is disappointing, especially since we work on multiple NetSuite accounts with various client templates. Another issue is that if there is an ongoing data download/upload in progress, opening another spreadsheet leads to errors, even if you just change windows. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
