We don't have to depend on the staff at ExpoGenie to do all of the form fillings. **What do you dislike about ExpoGenie?** There are some wrinkles in the form fields, and they didn't have downloadable PDF invoices for the user to obtain. We have to write our own invoices until this feature is available. **What problems is ExpoGenie solving and how is that benefiting you?** We don't have to use paper contracts and email back and forth as much with the user. ### 2. It is very admin and purchaser friendly; it is the complete package. **What do you dislike about ExpoGenie?** It doesn't do everything we need for our event, but it gets the job done. **What problems is ExpoGenie solving and how is that benefiting you?** It is hard to find a platform with sales and an interactive exhibit hall map AND is user-friendly on the front and back ends. ### 3. It's great not having to manually assign tasks! The floor plan is also super helpful and made selling booths a breeze. **What do you dislike about ExpoGenie?** There are some improvements that could be made to reporting. Right now, it's difficult to sort through task completion, as it shows every exhibitor, even if they don't have that specific task assigned to them. More filtering would make this easier to navigate. The email function could also be a little easier to utilize. It would also be nice to set up automated reminders to exhibitors who haven't completed tasks yet. **What problems is ExpoGenie solving and how is that benefiting you?** ExpoGenie helps us stay organized and saves us time with task automation. ### 4. They are quick to respond and always friendly. I also love that I can embed the interactive floor plan into my conference registration website and have it direct back to our exhibitor site through ExpoGenie. Another bonus is how the admin portal is easy to use and navigate; so setting up our event was a breeze. **What do you dislike about ExpoGenie?** There are a few customization limitations; however, the ExpoGenie team constantly updates and improves their product which I can appreciate. It would be nice to have a little more control over certain aspects on the admin side, but nothing that would make me not want to use this platform. **What problems is ExpoGenie solving and how is that benefiting you?** We chose ExpoGenie because they had an easy-to-use interactive exhibit hall floor plan which was lacking in our conference registration platform. Also, being a not-for-profit organization, their pricing is very budget-friendly. ### 5. This saves me tons of time. I also really appreciate that after we set up our portal for our 2020 event, we just had to make some updates for 2021. The customer service team is excellent to work with and very responsive when I need help. Our exhibitors have been very impressed with our portal - we are a small operation just learning the ropes of trade shows, but expo genie makes us look like pros! It definitely gives us an edge over our competitors who do mail-in registration and booth booking. **What do you dislike about ExpoGenie?** There are some features that I would like to see upgraded. For example, there is no mechanism to add a discount for multiple booth purchases (aside from a coupon code which is a percentage off the total amount, which doesn't work for our pricing model). I have worked around this by issuing invoices from my bookkeeping program. But some exhibitors have been confused when the expo genie cart total isn't discounted. **What problems is ExpoGenie solving and how is that benefiting you?** Before using expo genie, exhibitors would submit their registration not knowing if their preferred booth location is available. With expo genie they can see the floor plan in real time, select their booth from those available, and know right away what booth they're getting. I also save a lot of time with registration as customers can register themselves, and all of the information I need is in expo genie. **Official Response from John Connolly:** > Thanks for the review!
