Explo lets you take your database and use drag-and-drop tools to create visualizations in minutes. I appreciate the simplicity of setting up how you want to display the data and the variety of features that the Explo team continues to implement. You might need to know your way around SQL and a data warehouse to get your database set up, but past that, anyone can experiment and play with creating visualizations in the Explo editor. Explo is currently looking at new features for their roadmap, and they've opened that process to review from their users, which is fantastic! There are times that I feel constrained with how I want to use my data because of a mismatch between how I have it structured and how it would interact best with the Explo product, but if you have a handle on SQL then there's a lot of room to work around that divergence. My team needed a quick way to be able to build and iterate on visualizations of our immense database so that we could relay that data to customers. User friendly interface makes it easy for PMs and Engineers to create and modify dashboards that meet our customers' needs. Lots of continuous improvement. Architect functionality solved a key need for us and allowed us to mitigate scope creep in our existing customer-facing reporting suite. Some quirks and missing features make it hard to provide the optimal reporting experience we'd like to our customers (such as inability to conditionally hide elements or templates, some formatting limitations with Architect, restrictions that make it harder for us to track product analytics for reporting usage.)
