The inability to offer a comprehesive view of the products configured, to allow for a quick review of all items in the offering, prior to writing back to CRM. The biggest result of using Experligix CPQ is accuracy and efficiancy. Many of our products are modular and using configurations helps elimate mistakes or forgetting required items. The ability to translate the logic our engineers go through to configure our products into a set of rules that can be applied consistently in our quoting process. It used to be that different engineers would give you a different answer... So we locked them in a room until they could give us a set of rules that they all agreed on and we could program that logic into Experlogix. Occasionally the logic will change and that's all right we just locked them in a room again to make sure they all agree. Our quotes are now consistent, our projects execute with less change orders and our customers have more confidence in our sales team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Experlogix CPQ? Slow configuration load time, delay waiting for config changes to process on large quotes, and slow save times back to host. What I appreciate most about Experlogix CPQ is its user-friendly design. It's approachable for those with less technical knowledge, allowing them to create product configurators with relative ease. For advanced users, the software provides a robust set of tools and functionalities to build high-quality, efficient configurators. The structured product architecture and UI templates are significant time-savers, especially when there's a need to churn out many impactful configurators that enhance sales efficiency. There are instances when tackling a complex problem where I feel the task could be accomplished more easily if not confined by the software's boundaries. These often need to be sized and sold in configurable packages that vary from project to project. Using Experlogix to offer a custom configuration of products has proven valuable. We use it as an internal network tool to assist in customizing products for a final SKU and Price on a configuration. It's also used to publish to an instance in Azure (Windows VM) to use on our public website product pages. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Experlogix CPQ? In regards to using it in a public website manner, the setup isn't very straightforward (even for Experlogix reps). You must be adept as a website developer or very technical to integrate it. It's UI design can be customized, but you must do it outside of any GUI and use javascript and CSS. It's set up and working for us today after many trial and errors, as well as back-and-forth with support, however the last issue we still struggle with is that it has to be on a Windows machine (running in IIS, etc.), and there seems to be some random communication interruptions that cause the "Initializing" message to very slowly disappear so a customization can be started. The configuration tool allows us to have rules and pricing updates per customer types, product choice types, etc. It makes it easier to build an application specific product for our customers.
