What do you like best about Expensify?

I'm using Expensify on and off for years and I always saw it as a great product. On and off because the company I'm working in sometimes has another tool. But when it comes to my own business, they are always my go to. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Seamless Receipt Snap and Automatic Expense Reports"

What do you like best about Expensify?

I like that you can snap. A photo of your receipt and it automatically fills in the report. I also like that you’re able to see all expenses waiting to be reimbursed on one report Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Smooth, User-Friendly Reimbursements with Expensify"

What do you like best about Expensify?

This was my first time using Expensify, and the experience was smooth and straightforward. The platform made it quick and easy to submit my reimbursement to my employer, and the turnaround time was impressive—less than 24 hours. "Reliable and time-saving tool for managing employee reimbursements"

What do you like best about Expensify?

Expensify truly simplifies expense management for both employees and finance teams. At my organization, we rely on it to process reimbursements for travel, meals, and client-related costs. The SmartScan feature is especially convenient—I simply take a photo of a receipt, and the app automatically populates the necessary details. The user interface is intuitive, allowing me to track the approval status of each report with ease. Additionally, its integration with accounting software streamlines monthly reconciliation, making the process much quicker for our finance department. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Expensify?

Occasionally, the SmartScan feature misreads details on some receipts, especially handwritten ones, which means I have to manually correct a few entries. I’ve also noticed slight syncing delays with corporate card transactions from time to time. The mobile app could be a bit smoother when uploading multiple receipts, but overall these issues don’t outweigh the benefits. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Expensify solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before we started using Expensify, we managed our expenses manually with spreadsheets, a method that was both time-consuming and prone to mistakes. Now, everything is digital and transparent—employees are able to submit their expense reports from any location, and managers can approve them with just one click. This shift has greatly reduced the time it takes to process reimbursements and has increased the accuracy of our financial reporting. "Expense reporting and reimbursement done right"

What do you like best about Expensify?

The receipt scan in the mobile app is very accurate and saves a lot of time. The email scanning is also rather accurate and efficient. I have tried other products and Expensify has nailed the balance between features and simplicity. With as much travel as I do, I use this multiple times a day and save a lot hassle. Especially with airline tickets, hotel reservations, restaurant receipts, it excels in expense classification. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Expensify?

Every now and again, the duplicate expense detection gets overly aggressive. For example, wifi charges on a multiple flights on the same day always get flagged as duplicates but they are not. Categories outside of the top 5 most common for travel (airline, accommodations, uber, lyft, taxi) strike out more often in auto classification. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Expensify solving and how is that benefiting you?

Expense reporting can be tedious for obvious reasons. Automation, AI-driven OCR and AI-drive categorization can all save time - and they do. Expensify helps with expense reporting, expense reimbursements, expense reimporting into accounting systems, receipt management, and expense budget forecasting. Sometimes, the receipt scanning process takes longer than anticipated, and certain receipts are not parsed accurately, which means I have to make manual corrections. The pricing may seem somewhat steep for smaller organizations, and I find that the options for customizing reports could be more adaptable. Expensify addresses the challenge of making international payments and reimbursements hassle-free. What do you like best about Expensify?

I use Expensify for managing my expenses and it helps me a lot in saving my cents at many places. It's simple and really efficient, and the features like receipt scanning save a lot of my time, which is really helpful. This feature is really valuable as it saves my time because I don't need to manually enter the expense details; after scanning, the app automatically extracts the important data from it. Expensify integrates with payroll very efficiently. Our team switched from using manual methods, and Expensify really worked well for us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Expensify?

Hey Brendon, thanks for the review! Happy to hear you're saving time on reimbursements. The SSO re-authentication frequency is usually controlled by your company's IT settings, so your admin may be able to extend the session timeout if it's happening too often.
